18-year-old shut down neighboring roads after sparking a brush fire

GOODYEAR – Ariz. – An 18-year-old allegedly started a brush fire in Goodyear, Arizona.

Goodyear police arrested William Paci after starting a fire that spread enough to shut down neighboring roads.

The sparked flames began in a dry river bed and did not harm any buildings or people.

How the fire started is unclear, but investigators are confident Paci was involved.

The fire was able to be contained but could have been a deadly story had there been high winds.
