$20 bills fly out of truck as ATM thieves lead Tulsa PD on chase

TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Police Department released video surveillance footage involving an ATM theft at Communication Federal Credit Union at 31st and Sheridan on the 22nd at 2:15 AM on July 22.

According to authorities, the suspects may be involved in other incidents as well. Police say the suspects could be involved in an attempted ATM theft that occurred in south Tulsa. In addition, TPD that the suspects may be connected to “several more ATM thefts as well.”

Authorities believe the suspects’ method of operation involves stealing large pickup trucks to use them for ATM thefts. Additionally, the suspects come equipped with tow straps and crowbars to assist their criminal actions.

When officers responded to the ATM theft at the Communication Federal Credit Union, they attempted a traffic stop on the white Ford pickup. Authorities say they believed the truck was connected to the ATM theft.

The truck was described as a stolen white Ford F-350. The driver refused to stop for officers and deviated from them in an attempt to escape. 

$20 bills flew out the back of the truck during the police pursuit of the pickup. Authorities consider the money as crucial evidence of the ATM theft.

The white Ford exited HWY 412 in Sand Springs, reportedly crashing through a front yard fence.

A Tulsa K9 and a Tulsa Police helicopter attempted to locate the suspects; however, the suspects managed to escape.

Tulsa PD urges the public to come forward with any information related to the case. The identities of the three to four suspects are unclear. Video surveillance shows the suspects wearing masks.
