OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – A young woman was booked at the Oklahoma City Jail on April 27th for her involvement with a lizard.
According to FOX 25, Hannah Buchanan, 24, got angry at a lizard because it defecated on her bed.
The lizard reportedly belongs to the suspect’s boyfriend.
Buchanan sprayed the lizard with Febreze prior to throwing the lizard across the bedroom.
The suspect’s boyfriend took his pet lizard to the bathroom to quickly wash the chemicals off of it.
Buchanan’s boyfriend informed police that his girlfriend acted out of control, yelling at him and slapping and shoving him.
The violence against the lizard did not stop there.
The suspect allegedly took the lizard from her boyfriend and threw it again.
Officers could see the incident via video because the lizard’s owner recorded some of the lizard’s attack.
Buchanan admitted to becoming agitated after she found lizard poop on her bed. She denied spraying the lizard with Febreze.
The suspect claims that she never threw the pet lizard, she simply picked it up, and it, unfortunately, fell out of her hand.
Oklahoma City Police arrested Buchanan, charging her with Cruelty to Animals.
