BITING THE HAND
THAT FEEDS
Waynoka man Shelby Tyler Adair, 36, is facing two counts of attempted murder after he
allegedly tried to murder his grandparents on
February 17.
According to reports, the Alva Fire Department requested a Woods County deputy be dispatched to a residence in
the 100 block of Flynn Street at approximately 2:23 p.m.
When the deputy arrived, he saw that the front yard was burned. He
also noticed a gas can in the middle of the burnt yard.
An older couple lived at the residence. A man who was the couple’s
grandson and also an off-duty firefighter, told the deputy that his cousin
Adair set the yard on fire.
He also said he believed that the fire could have reached the couple’s
home if firefighters hadn’t extinguished it.
The man said Adair had threatened to kill his grandparents before lighting up the yard.
The couple told the deputy that Adair threatened to burn their house
down with them in it before setting their yard on fire.
They said Adair had given them $10,000 for repayment of loans, housing, and some other things they had given him since he was an adult.
He recently asked for the money back and started threatening them.
The couple said Adair was at their house the day before picking up
some things he’d left. He started asking for the money, and the grandfather told him no.
Adair got in his grandfather’s face and said he was going to burn his
house down and shoot him. He told his grandmother the same things.
Later that day, deputies were informed that the man was visiting another grandparent at a retirement home. They found Adair in the 1600 block
of Murray Drive and placed him under arrest.
Video footage from around the couple’s home showed the man walk toward the garage, then walk back outside with a red gas can. He dumped
the can’s contents on the yard and started the fire.
The investigating deputy located everything Adair was wearing in the
video, except for a hoodie and hat.
Video surveillance from the retirement home showed Adair wearing the
hat and throwing the hoodie into a trash can.
Adair is being charged with two counts of attempted murder. His bond
was set at $100,000, and he was scheduled to appear in court on March
20, 2023.

We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money
or favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting officer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.
Thank you and God Bless

TALES FROM THE FLORIDA SWAMP...
‘YEP IT’S OFFICIAL…CRIMINALS DO THE
DUMBEST THINGS AND THIS ONE GETS
THE AWARD FOR “DUMB CRIMINAL OF THE
WEEK!!”’
On February 10, while at one of our Brevard
County Parks, our victims, a female and her
boyfriend, were confronted by Donovan Tyler
Adkins, who was armed with a firearm, and accused the victims of robbing his people!! Really…this guy has people?
As Adkins pretended to talk to someone on
the phone, he forced the female victim into the
woods with the firearm and told the male to
stay put. After taking the female victim deeper into the woods, Adkins kept
the gun pointed at her and ordered her to perform sexual acts on him!!
According to the statement of the victim, with Adkins pointing the gun at
her face, she refused to comply and told Adkins he would have to shoot
her first!! Adkins at this point had exposed himself and the victim began
screaming. The victim’s boyfriend was quickly approaching their location
in the woods which startled the suspect, causing him to trip and thereby
giving the victim a brief opportunity to escape!!
The victim quickly made it back to her boyfriend at which time they were
collecting their belongings when Adkins returned to the area and stole the
victim’s cellphone before fleeing.
Based upon the testimony of the victims, another person in the park
who was familiar with the suspect, and subsequent investigation by our
Agents, Adkins was later positively identified as the perpetrator and was
taken into custody by members of our team.
Adkins was transported to “Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge” on a “No Bond” status for Robbery With A Firearm, Aggravated Assault With. Deadly Weapon,
False Imprisonment, Sexual Battery, Petit Theft, Possession Of A Firearm
By A Convicted Felon, and Resisting Arrest Without Violence!! Holy crap
this guy has more charges than my wife’s credit card!!
On a positive note he won’t have to look very far for his Valentine on
Tuesday as he is still sitting in the “Iron Bar Lodge” and will have an entire
cell block to pick one from!! Sadly though, I don’t think we offer those big
candy hearts in the jail commissary so I’m guessing a honey bun will have
to suffice!!

THREE ARRESTED IN
CONNECTION WITH MURDER
OF BILLINGS WOMAN
Three individuals were arrested for the death of
a 52-year-old woman that occurred on January
30.
According to reports, medical personnel were
dispatched to investigate an unresponsive female
in an apartment in the 200 block of S. Broadway
at approximately 12:03 p.m. When they arrived,
they found the woman, who was pronounced
deceased. An investigation determined that the
woman was murdered.
Deputies also determined that three Carter
County residents were the suspects.
Jess Lyon Bishop Jr., 19, Emery Lynn Wood,
31, and 38-year-old Hollie Parker were all arrested
for the woman’s death.
Bishop and Wood are being charged with murder in the first degree with deliberate intent and
conspiracy.
Parker is being charged with murder in the first
degree and conspiracy, both charges after the
former conviction of a felony.
A man who shot himself in the face and
ran down Interstate 24 armed with the
handgun was taken to two hospitals last
month, a Rutherford County Sheriff’s supervisor said.
Deviset Patton, 41, of Nashville was
treated by paramedics while transporting
him to Ascension St. Thomas Hospital in
Murfreesboro. He was later taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
Detective Sgt. Ty Downing said Patton’s girlfriend was driving on I-24 when they
began arguing about 5:30 pm.
“He shot himself once in the face,” Downing said.
She pulled over and called 911. Sheriff’s deputies, Tennessee Highway Patrol
troopers, Murfreesboro Police and Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue responded.
“As they approached, he took off on foot running down the interstate with a
pistol in his hand,” Downing said. “Deputies led by Sgt. David Alford closed traffic
in both directions because of an armed man running on the freeway.”
Patton refused Alford’s commands to drop the weapon.
The SWAT Team responded. A K9 stopped Patton and SWAT Team deputies
took him into custody.

MUDDLE-HEAD IN MASSACHUSETTS
Brian Walshe is a ‘dumb as dirt’ alleged criminal:
legal experts
Alleged wife-murderer Brian Walshe is up a creek
without a paddle after his arraignment, legal experts say
— and his situation will only get worse if authorities find
the body of his missing spouse, Ana.
Walshe, 47, is accused of murdering his wife, who
went missing on New Year’s Day, and prosecutors presented a slew of damning evidence at his arraignment.
“If these allegations are true, it’s stunning how
dumb as dirt this guy appears to be,” Mark Bederow,
a high-profile criminal defense attorney, told The Post.
“It’s unbelievable.”
Bederow, a former prosecutor for the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, said Walshe’s internet searches
will not only be used as evidence of his alleged crime but
might work against his ability to blame mental health issues.
“His internet searches — as sick as they may be — are rational in a cogent thought
type of way,” the lawyer said. “There appears to be a lot of planning and it appears to
be well thought out.”
Prosecutors revealed the dad of three used his son’s iPad to google “how to stop a
body from decomposing,” “how long before a body starts to smell,” “hacksaw best tool
to dismember” and “can you identify a body with broken teeth?”
Police have yet to locate the body of Ana, 39, a real estate manager who lived with
Brian and their kids in Cohasset, Mass., but worked in Washington, DC.
“Without the body, [the case] is not a slam-dunk case for the prosecution,” former
New York prosecutor and current criminal defense attorney Duncan Levin said. “If they
find her body, the case will obviously become much more difficult for the defense to have
a fighting chance.”
Levin explained that even though the prosecution’s argument looks strong, the case is
still young, and all the evidence gathered by authorities is “subject to attack.”
“It’s too early to tell what holes there may be in any of the evidence,” he said. “Obviously from what we know, there is an extremely strong circumstantial case against Brian
Walshe.
“You could not have planned a worse murder if you tried,” Levin added, saying Walshe
appeared to have “bungled every aspect of this from beginning to end.”
He also suggested the defense might try to move the trial outside Cohasset, which is
home to less than 10,000 people, because of how much attention the case has received.
“On the flip side, the pre-trial publicity in this case has been so significant that a judge
may well find that there would not be any less publicity in a different area of the state,”
he said.
Prosecutors said Wednesday that during Walshe’s previously reported trip to Home
Depot to buy $450 of cleaning supplies with cash, his purchases included a Tyvek body
suit, mops and baking soda.
Worse, a man in a Volvo matching Brian’s description was caught on surveillance
footage lugging heavy trash bags into dumpsters.
When searching through trash bags originally dumped at Walshe’s mother’s home,
police found a hatchet, blood, hacksaw, trash bags, used cleaning supplies and a rug.
They also found a Prada purse and Hunter boots matching what Ana was believed to be
wearing when last seen, along with a COVID-19 vaccination card in her name, the Tyvek
suit her husband had purchased, towels and tape, prosecutors revealed.

LITTLE THINGS
A 51-year-old Hennessey man was arrested after a deputy found more than 250 grams of meth
in his possession during a traffic stop on February
11.
According to reports, the deputy asked dispatch to check the tag information of a vehicle after he saw it pass through an
intersection at Main and State Highway 33. The tag was registered to a different
vehicle.
The deputy stopped the vehicle at 5:43 p.m. and made contact with the driver,
identified as Ronald Gene Hooley. Hooley told the deputy that the tag belonged
to his daughter. He was driving to Guthrie to help someone work on their vehicle.
The deputy asked for permission to search the car. Hooley said yes but told
him, “There might be a little drugs.”
While searching the man’s vehicle, the deputy found multiple plastic baggies
tied off with a string. He also saw a sandwich bag containing multiple crystal-like
substances mixed with a white powder-like substance.
Hooley told the deputy that the drugs were for his own use. He later admitted
that he was going to Guthrie to sell the drugs. The man also said the remainder
of the drugs were in the center console.
The deputy found a food storage container with a large crystal-like stone inside the console. He also discovered a small digital scale with white residue.
The drugs found in the vehicle field-tested positive for meth. The substances
and baggies weighed 251 grams, and the large stone and container weighed
222 grams.
Authorities later executed a search at Hooley’s home, where they seized more
drug-related items.
Hooley is being charged with trafficking in illegal drugs, distribution of a controlled dangerous substance including possession with intent to distribute,
and removing proper or affixing an improper license plate. His bond was set at
$50,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on April 6, 2023.
