AFTERMATH
A now 19-year-old man from Owasso was
sentenced to 20 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to three charges on December 4, 2023.
According to reports, Luke Christopher
House pleaded guilty to two counts of murder in
the second degree and driving a motor vehicle
while under the influence of a combination of
alcohol and an intoxicating substance causing
great bodily harm.
The charges stem from a head-on collision
that claimed the lives of two people at 4:15 a.m. on October 15, 2022, in
Stillwater.
The then 18-year-old House was driving eastbound in the westbound lane
of State Highway 51 headed toward Country Club Road when he hit another
vehicle head on. The collision killed House’s 18-year-old passenger and a
40-year-old passenger in the other vehicle. Both victims were pronounced
dead at the scene.
Data from House’s vehicle revealed that the man was driving in excess of
150 mph.
A toxicology report showed that House was under the influence of alcohol
at the time of the collision.
He was sentenced to serve three concurrent 20-year prison terms after he
pleaded guilty to the charges.

How the Grinch stole Christmas
A Clay County, Fla., man is facing charges after
deputies say he fired a gun six times near the Middleburg Christmas Parade.
According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 4100
block of County Road 218, which is located along the parade route, after hearing several gunshots fired from the area.
When deputies arrived, they found several people yelling at the suspect, identified as Douglas Moore, 43, who was standing at the property line. The people
were demanding to know why Moore shot at them, an arrest report states.
No injuries were reported as a result of the gunfire, according to deputies.
Moore was told to get on the ground but refused, the report states. Moore was
then taken down by deputies after refusing to comply.
Deputies detained four individuals involved. Moore was ultimately placed under arrest following witness interviews and a review of the evidence.
The investigation revealed that Moore, a resident of a nearby property near
the incident location, became agitated by the activities stemming from parade
attendees and discharged a pistol multiple times while entering the property
where the victims were located.
While he was being read his Miranda Rights, deputies observed Moore speaking with slurred speech and had bloodshot and watery eyes, according to the
report.
As a result of the investigation, Moore was charged with six counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, reckless discharge of a firearm, and using a firearm
while under the influence of alcohol.
“I am thankful for the quick response by the deputies who ran towards the
sound of gunfire to keep our community safe,” Sheriff Michelle Cook said in the
post.

DEADLY DEED
A Creek County man is accused of murder
after a lengthy investigation into the death of a
Missouri man earlier last year.
According to OSBI, on March 2, 2023, the
Creek County District Attorney’s Office requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation
to assist with a homicide.
On January 17, 2023, local law enforcement
in Kansas City, Missouri received a missing
person’s report regarding 24-year-old Adam Blackstock Jr. The Kansas City
Missouri Police Department located Blackstock’s vehicle and discovered a
deceased male inside. An autopsy positively identified the victim as Blackstock, who had been shot multiple times.
OSBI special agents and Kansas City police officers determined that Blackstock traveled to Oklahoma on January 16 with another male, identified as
26-year-old Kainon Kiwayntae Singleton. Later that same day, Blackstock
was shot and killed in rural Creek County.
On March 10, Singleton was arrested in the Kansas City area during a separate incident. He was booked into the Jackson County, Missouri Jail, where
he is currently incarcerated.
On December 18, a felony warrant was issued by the Creek County District
Court for First-Degree Murder and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.

END OF THE ROAD
Stroud man Dillon Reid Young, 30, is being
charged with murder after he allegedly provided a
man with drugs that ended his life.
According to reports, just before 8 a.m. on June
16, a Lincoln County deputy was dispatched to
the area of 3550 Road and 890 Road southwest of Stroud to investigate a deceased person in a vehicle. Earlier that morning, a woman had called the Stroud
Police Department and inquired if a man had been arrested, since he didn’t
come home that night.
The deceased man the deputy was sent to investigate was identified as the
missing person. He found the the man slumped over into the passenger seat.
Later that day, officers with Oklahoma Court Services and the Lincoln County
Investigator conducted a routine home visit for a woman on active probation.
They were unaware of the investigation into the victim’s death.
Young was at the home during the visit. Officers found narcotics and paraphernalia on the man’s person. Stroud police were called to the scene to seize
the drugs.
In Young’s possession, they found approximately 9.9 grams of methamphetamine, 48.2 grams of fentanyl in powder form and 89 pills stamped with “M”
and “30.” Those pills tested positive for fentanyl. Officers also seized the man’s
phone.
Young was charged December 6 with murder in the first degree. He is being
held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on January 18, 2024.
