An Oklahoma City man is facing multiple felony charges in Canadian County
after he propositioned what he thought
was an underage girl and then showed
up to the rendezvous in a stolen truck
and armed with a knife.
The Canadian County Sheriff’s Office stated that on December 16, 2020,
the Canadian County internet crimes
against children unit arrested Jay Benson, a 38-year-old male from Oklahoma
City, for trying to pick up a 14-year-old
female for sex. Benson was arrested
at a Canadian County fast food restaurant located at I-40 and Mustang Road.
Benson brought to the meeting a knife
and condoms.
The undercover operation targeted internet predators using social media who target children.
During the investigation, Benson was told he was speaking to a 14-yearold female on social media; however, this did not stop him from continuing
the conversation. Quickly after Benson was put on notice, he sent various photographs of his genitals to what he believed was a minor female.
Benson sent over five sexually explicit photographs to the undercover investigator.
During the conversation, Benson was worried about being set up by
law enforcement but quickly changed his attention to requesting oral sex
from the minor. Benson explained various sexual fantasies he wanted
to experience with the minor female, including showering together. After
the conversation got sexually explicit, Benson would bring up how much
trouble he could get into talking to a minor this way.
As the conversation progressed, Benson wanted to set up a meeting
place to pick up the minor child. A location at a fast-food restaurant was
selected as the meeting place by Benson. Investigators waited for Benson
at the meeting place, and soon Benson arrived to pick up the girl in a stolen truck. Benson was quickly arrested by deputies and was taken to the
Canadian County Jail. Benson was charged with lewd acts with a child
under 16, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and larceny of a license
plate. Benson’s bond was set at $65,000, and he remains in custody.
“The Sheriff’s Office will continue vigorously pursuing child predators as
long as they’re out there,” said Sheriff Chris West.

During the week of December 14, 2020, Investigations by the Canadian County Sheriff’s
Office led to the arrest of Krishna Skanes for
sexual communication with a minor and lewd
acts with a child during an undercover sting
in Canadian County. Skanes was arrested
on December 14, 2020, from a Canadian
County arrest warrant by Cleveland County
Sheriff’s Office. The undercover operation
targeted internet predators using social media who target children.
On December 14, 2020, Krishna Skanes,
a 39-year-old male from Oklahoma City, was
apprehended by Cleveland County Sheriff’s
Office after Canadian County District Attorney’s office issued an arrest warrant. A
Canadian County Sheriff’s Office investigation uncovered that Skanes sent
a photograph of his genitals to a middle school child in Canadian County.
Skanes then tried to text with the child, but the child reported the photograph
to authorities. The victim’s parent pretending to be the child told Skanes he
was talking to a 14-year-old and Skanes then asked for a picture of their body
after sending another photograph of genitals.
Canadian County’s internet crimes against children unit used their undercover account to speak with Skanes. Skanes continued to speak with the
undercover investigator thinking he was talking to the victim, and a search
warrant was issued for Skanes social media accounts. Skanes was charged
with soliciting sex with a minor by use of technology, and his bond was set
five thousand dollars. Benson remains in custody in Cleveland County where
he was arrested and also charged with a similar crime in Cleveland County.
Skanes will be transported to Canadian County Jail after his court dates in
Cleveland County.

Enid man Guston Mark Dellenbaugh, 25,
is facing manslaughter charges for allegedly
shooting the brother of his ex-girlfriend on the
evening of December 21.
The victim succumbed to his injuries and
passed away the next day.
According to reports, Enid officers were
dispatched to Pine Manor Apartments in the
1000 block of S.30th to investigate a shooting. When they arrived, they found that the
25-year-old victim had been shot in the stomach with a .22-caliber rifle.
The victim was eventually transported to a
hospital in Oklahoma City, where he died on
December 22.
The shooting suspect? Dellenbaugh.
Dellenbaugh had apparently gone to the apartments to visit his ex-girlfriend,
who was the victim’s sister. The woman told police that Dellenbaugh was acting weird and appeared to be intoxicated. Before going to the woman’s apartment, Dellenbaugh allegedly pointed to loaded gun at some people.
The victim confronted the man. During the altercation, Dellenbaugh shot
the victim and left the scene. Officer’s found the weapon in the ex-girlfriend’s
apartment.
Officers searched the area for Dellenbaugh, but they didn’t find him immediately. A witness advised they saw a man get into a car at a nearby gas station.
Officers continued to search for the man until an officer who was at St.
Mary’s Regional Medical Center on an unrelated call saw Dellenbaugh and
placed him under arrest.
Dellenbaugh is being charged with manslaughter in the first degree and feloniously pointing firearm. His bond was set at $500,000, and he is scheduled
to appear in court on February 2, 2021.

We hear many times from people that the arresting officer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only

Poor Chastity Eugina Hopson was so worried about her possibly-tainted meth that
she actually contacted the police about it. Officers at the Granite Shoals Police Department in Texas were trying to catch the county’s dumbest drug users when they posted
a fake Facebook story about Ebola-tainted meth. The post said, “If you have recently
purchased meth or heroin in Central Texas, please take it to the local police or sheriff
department so it can be screened with a special device. DO NOT use it until it has been
properly checked for possible Ebola contamination!””
Hopson, 29, saw the post and was understandably afraid that her meth could be...
wait for it... dangerous. She responded to the department’s post on Facebook, and
they gladly took her sample in for “testing.” Hobson was charged with possession of
less than one gram of a controlled substance.
18 year old Ruben Zarate wanted to rob a muffler shop in Chicago and demanded
money. Unfortunately it was mostly in the safe. Zarate decided that he would try again
later. To save himself some time, he left his cell phone number with the store employees. That way, they could call him when the manager returned.
Demetrius Robinson, 28, wanted to rob a Golden Pantry store late one night, but he
needed to pass the time as naturally as possible until he and the clerk were alone, so
he decided to fill out a job application. Not a bad idea, except he left his real name on
the application, along with his uncle’s phone number. After he robbed the store, it didn’t
take long for police to track him down. He didn’t get the job.
Before breaking into an apartment, Joey Miller and Matthew McNelly decided to put
on disguises. And by disguises we mean they covered their faces in permanent marker.
The thing about permanent marker is that... well it’s permanent.
After the burglary, the pair was pulled over by police and immediately recognized
because of their hair. Just kidding, it was their faces covered in permanent marker that
set them apart from the crowd.
A Kentucky woman was arrested after authorities caught her trying to shoplift merchandise while her son took part in a “Shop with a Cop” event. She was charged with
theft of less than $500 and not understanding irony.
Eoise Reaves stretched the limits of “to serve and protect” when she approached
a policeman and asked him to help her get her money back for the poor-quality crack
cocaine she’d just purchased. She showed him the crack, which she had tucked away
in her mouth, and he placed her under arrest. How does one know when crack has
gone bad?
Things were looking up for Frank Singleton when he was released from jail. However,
when he realized that he didn’t have a ride home, he walked straight into the prison
parking lot and attempted to carjack a woman. He was foiled when he realized that
he couldn’t drive a car with a stick shift. As he was re-arrested - this time, for felony
carjacking - Singleton told police that he simply “didn’t feel like walking.” We’ve all been
there.
A West Palm Beach, FL man was arrested on a slew of charges, and was perhaps
a bit too honest on his arrest report. He listed his occupation as “drug dealer” and was
charged with being the most obvious criminal in the history of crime.
A police impersonator in Dumfries, VA tried to pull over an off-duty officer, when the
real cop informed the fake cop that he was a real cop (this is getting confusing) the fake
cop ran away but was quickly apprehended and hauled off to a very real prison.
Charles Ray Fuller, a Texas dumb dumb, tried to cash a bogus check for $360 BILLION. To top it off, the check wasn’t even made out to him. He was arrested on forgery
charges and sentenced to a million billion years in prison.
Two men arrested in Houston were accused of stealing an iPad and using it to take
selfies that they unknowingly uploaded to the owner’s iCloud account. The men appeared in the photos displaying money they were also accused of taking from the

Amateur criminal and professional dumb dumb Christopher Kron made every mistake possible in robbery history when he tried to rob a restaurant after it closed one
night. Not only did he trip the silent alarm, but when ADT called the restaurant after
being notified, Kron answered the phone and gave them his REAL NAME. He returned
to the restaurant the next day and was recognized by an employee who had seen the
surveillance video. Kron was arrested on the spot.
A man in Stockholm, Sweden was a bit upset when the 13-year-old girl he’d been
courting didn’t show up for an arranged sex meeting. When the teen stood him up, the
man found her home phone number and called her father to demand a refund. Obviously things didn’t end well.
Polish author Krystian Bala, might’ve gotten away with murder… if he hadn’t written
about it in his book. His 2003 novel Amok became a bestseller in Poland, but he paid
the price when police noticed that the details of a murder in the book eerily matched
those of an unsolved case.
The similarities led the police to investigate further, discovering connections between
Bala and the victim, including the fact that the victim was romantically involved with
Bala’s ex-wife. Whether or not he was inspired by the OJ Simpson “novel” based on a
similar subject is unknown. What is known that he received 25 years in prison.

Alva man faces multiple
child porn charges
A 43-year-old Alva man is facing seven
charges related to child pornography after he
was arrested following a months-long investigation into his Instagram.
According to reports, the district attorney’s
investigator received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on October 20. The tip referenced the uploading and distribution of child pornography.

While investigating Bustillos, the investigator learned that the man had pleaded guilty to
sexual contact with a child in December 1999
and he received a 10-year sentence.
On October 20, the investigator obtained a court order for the man’s Instagram. On December 28, he received the results of the search warrant.
On December 28, the Woods County Undersheriff advised that Bustillos
was listed as an aggravated sex offender who regularly registered himself to
the sheriff’s office and Oklahoma Department of Corrections.
Woods County deputies, Dewey County deputies and Alva police officers
went to the man’s residence on December 29 with a search warrant.
An officer found a cellphone in a vehicle driven by Bustillos. Bustillos allegedly admitted that there were sexually explicit images on the phone. While
reviewing the phone, a deputy found sexually explicit images and video clips
of children on the phone.
During an interview, Bustillos admitted to investigators that he himself had
obtained the images found on the phone. He said he knew it was wrong.
Bustillos is being charged with five counts of possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography and violation of OK statute via computer. His bond was set at $70,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court
on February 9, 2021.
