Cameron Lydell Foster, Jr., 26, of Tahlequah, pled guilty
to information charging him with Unlawful Use of Communications Facility.
Charges arose from an investigation by the Bureau of
Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Violent Crime Task Force,
which includes Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department, District 27 District Attorney’s Drug Task Force, the Tahlequah
Police Department and the Muskogee Police Department.
The information alleged that on or about February 22,
2012, Foster did knowingly use a cellular telephone to distribute less than 50 kilograms of marijuana.
The Honorable Ronald A. White, District Judge in the
United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, in Muskogee, accepted the guilty plea and ordered
the completion of a pre-sentence report.
Sentencing will be scheduled following its completion. Foster will remain in the custody of the United States Marshal Service.
The statutory range of punishment is up to 4 years imprisonment and/or up to a
$250,000.00 fine.

A preliminary hearing date of May 6
has been set for Tahlequah couple accused of sex crimes against a 14-yearold girl.
Aaron Lingbeck, 38, was charged
Nov. 16, 2012, with child sexual abuse,
and his wife, Tina Lingbeck, 34, was
also charged Nov. 16 with child abuse
by injury, and additionally with enabling child sexual abuse.
Information in the case accuses
Aaron Lingbeck of touching the girl
between October 2011 and October
2012 in a “lewd and lascivious manner.” Tina Lingbeck allegedly permitted her husband to
touch the girl inappropriately.
Tina is also accused of striking the girl on the face, causing the girl’s nose to bleed.
Both were arrested Oct. 29, 2012, and booked into the Cherokee County Jail. Aaron Lingbeck’s bond was set at $25,000 and Tina Lingbeck’s bond was set at $15,000. Both were later
released.
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
The Lingbecks’ charges are punishable by up to life in prison and fines of $500 to $5,000.

Kyle T: He walked out knowing the bear
was there, brought a shotgun, he intended
to kill it the whole time. I like how this story
makes him out to be the victim.
A 76-year-old Auburn, Massachusetts man, Richard Ahlstrand,
had spotted a black bear in his backyard around his bird feeders.
He went to fill up his bird feeders, and as a precaution, he took
his shotgun. Sure enough, the black bear showed up and started
to chase the old man. The man aimed his shotgun at the bear
and shot it, killing the bear.
Now he’s facing charges for illegally killing the bear, illegally
baiting the bear, illegal possession of a firearm and failure to
secure a weapon. Because he “murdered” the bear, police confiscated his shotgun as well as
two others he had in his possession. Ahlstrand pointed out the idiocy of his elected officials:
“They got me set up now like I’m some kind of murderer. And then the environmental guy
told me, ‘You should have called me instead of shooting it.’ What was I going to do, say ‘Mister
Bear, would you excuse me please while I go make a phone call?’”
Authorities thought that the bear may have had cubs, but as Ahlstrand hadn’t shot the bear,
he may not be here today. He was sure it would have at least mauled him. Ahlstrand recalled
that the bear was about 7 feet tall when it stood on its hind legs, and he estimated it weighed
around 300 or 400 pounds.
Officials say the man “baited” the bear with birdseed... Because we all know that bird seed is
only used to bait bears.

A fight over stolen property ended with a Sallisaw pair being taken into custody on felony assault and burglary charges April 2.
Just before 11 p.m. that day, Sallisaw police Lt. John Weber was
dispatched to a disturbance at the 2400 block of East Cherokee Avenue. When he got to the scene, he saw three people arguing, so he
calmed them down.
One of the men on the scene was upset, saying Thomas Corradina, 24, broke into his home and that Jessica Duffy, 29, ran over him
with her car. As proof, he showed Weber marks on his arm and leg,
and a knot that was red and swollen.
Weber met with Duffy and Corradina, and Duffy said she had a
bag with money and other personal items stolen from her while she
was in Oklahoma City. Duffy said she knew the thief stayed at the
home on Cherokee periodically, so she thought her bag would be inside the house. At that
point, Corradina admitted breaking into the residence to look for the bag.
Also, Duffy said she hit the victim with her car, but tried to pass it off as self defense, saying
she was threatened by the man’s older brother. However, in the car were Duffy’s two children,
aged 2 and 4.
Weber arrested Corradina and Duffy and took them to jail for booking on burglary and assault complaints, respectively.
Duffy pleaded not guilty April 10 and posted bail April 15. Corradina remains in custody.
Both have court set for 9 a.m. May 8.

A Colorado man learned on April 4 that
marijuana is illegal in Oklahoma – the hard
way.
That day, Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper Kyle Henson was watching cars pass by at
a mile marker near Vian. He saw a small car
pass by, which failed to stay in the proper
lane. Henson pulled behind the vehicle and
initiated a traffic stop a mile later.
When he approached the car from the passenger’s side, he immediately noticed Brant
Falliaux, 26, was shaking and his voice was cracking. While Falliaux
looked for his license and insurance, Henson noticed Falliaux may
have had the munchies earlier, as there were multiple energy drinks
and food wrappers on the passenger seat.
Falliaux said he swerved into the wrong lane because he was drinking a water while driving. Henson initially decided to give him a
warning, but Falliaux continued to be nervous, so he kept talking to
him.
The man said he was en route to Memphis to see his girlfriend,
who was a student at the University of Memphis. They were dating
for about six months and he was going to see her at her dorm room
for a couple of days, Falliaux said.
At the end of writing the warning, Henson asked Falliaux why he
was so nervous.
“I don’t like being stopped,” he said.
Falliaux told Henson he didn’t have any illegal drugs, alcohol or
weapons, and he gave consent to search the car. Unfortunately, when
Henson and another trooper searched the trunk, they saw two individually wrapped bundles of marijuana inside a gold gift bag. Falliaux was arrested on a complaint of possession with intent to distribute.
Falliaux posted an $11,000 bond soon after his arrest. He last had
a court date set for April 10, and a new one has not been assigned.

Wolf
Keith Wolf, 21, of Stilwell, was sentenced
March 14 to five years in prison.
Wolf was originally charged with two
separate counts of Burglary in the Second
Degree and received a plea agreement for
a five year deferred sentence.
Subsequently in November 2012, Wolf’s
probation was accelerated to a felony conviction based on a failure to report for supervised probation and failure to complete
substance abuse counseling.
In December 2012 and in January 2013,
violations of probation were reported regarding Wolf wherein Wolf broke into a residence in Stilwell without
permission. Based on these violations, Wolf’s five year suspended
sentence was revoked in full to serve a term of five years imprisonment under the custody and control of the Oklahoma Department of
Corrections.
Upon Wolf’s release from prison, he will be required to pay a substantial amount of restitution to victims of his original crimes as
agreed in his original plea agreement.

Ever think to yourself, “what an
amazing time we live in?”
Technology is so incredible, that
we take for granted stuff that wasn’t even possible 40 or 50 years
ago. Whether its cell phones, GPS systems, instant information
through the internet or high tech cars, we go through this world with
a wide array of things that make our lives easier. But what happens
when something goes wrong? I’m going to talk about things that
can go wrong, that may leave you on the side of the road, and ways
you can help yourself in these situations.
Its hard to believe that people still run out of gas these days.
Incredibly, it still happens on an almost daily basis. Sometimes, it
is the result of just not paying attention, and sometimes it is the
result of trusting a little too much in the technology that is built into
our automobiles today. All Troopers have heard from a stranded
motorist that their vehicle said they still had 20 more miles until
empty. The fact is, that number is usually generated by past driving
behavior and gas mileage averages, and is not an actual measure
of how much gas is left in the automobile. Do yourself a favor and
give a cushion...start looking to fill up any time you are under a 1/4
tank of fuel. Also, pay attention to the gas gauge. In the event that
you do run out of gas, be prepared! No matter how high tech your
vehicle is today, its just a big hunk of metal if it runs out of gas!
You may want to carry a small gas can. You certainly want to get
your vehicle off of the roadway to prevent it from being a traffic
hazard and putting yourself and others in danger. If you walk to a
gas station, be alert for traffic. *55 will get you in touch with a local
Highway Patrol Headquarters, but the Trooper may be a long way
off, or on a
call, so be prepared to help yourself! Another common problem
we run into is people who need their vehicle jump-started. You
may forget to turn the lights off and park it somewhere, or leave an
interior light on, or anything that may drain the battery.
Carry a set of jumper cables. If you have those, all you’ll need
is another person whose vehicle is running, and you can get yours
going! Make sure to refer to the owner’s manual to make sure how
to hook up the cables properly. As high tech as vehicles are today,
hooking them up wrong could result in further problems!
Ever hear that old saying about and “ounce of prevention”? Keep
up the maintenance on your vehicle. The owner’s manual usually
has a maintenance schedule for your specific vehicle. Old sayings
usually are old because they are tried and true! Thanks for reading,

A Muskogee man will be spending the
next 15 years in a federal prison after he was
convicted on firearms charges back in October.
Shawn Dewight Wartson, 21, of Muskogee, was sentenced April 1 to 180 months
in federal prison, followed by 5 years of supervised release after convicted of felon in
possession of a firearm and ammunition.
The charge arose from an investigation by
the Muskogee Police Department and the
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
The indictment alleged on or about June
3, 2012, a convicted felon, did knowingly possess in and affecting
commerce, a Polish made, model P-64, 9X18 mm pistol and a 380
ACP TULAMMO ammunition, which had been shipped and transported in interstate commerce.
Wartson was indicted in September, 2012 and pled guilty in October, 2012.
Wartson remains in custody of the United States Marshal Service
pending transportation to the designated federal prison at which he
will serve his non-parolable sentence.
