TYLER, Texas (KLTV/Gray News) - Texas authorities arrested
at least two men involved in a $400,000 scheme to steal Lego
sets from Walmart and Target stores across four states and resell
them online.
Brian Keith Fleming, 33, and Ladarion Dontre Anderson, 33,
were arrested. According to an affidavit, the scheme involves 10
people and has operated for at least two years.
On Oct. 14, 2022, a trooper noticed 19 unopened Cricut machines during a traffic stop, and according to the affidavit, the
driver could not explain why they were in the car or where the
machines came from.
The driver was arrested for an outstanding warrant and the
trooper reached out to Walmart and Target to determine if the
machines were stolen.
Authorities obtained a search warrant for two cell phones that
were in the car and the text history on those devices helped them
launch an investigation that crossed state borders.
The phones revealed conversations about stealing Cricut machines to sell to a third person at a cut rate, according to the affidavit. The texts also mentioned doing the same with Lego sets.
The United States postal inspector ran an investigation on the
buyer, who was reportedly paying cash for the items and then
reselling them on Amazon, eBay and other online platforms, according to the affidavit.
On March 14, a special agent in Texas was assigned to the case and learned from an Amazon
investigator that the seller had handed over a number of invoices for Lego sets that named Fleming
directly.
The investigation revealed that Fleming and Anderson were working together with a circle of five
“shoppers” to steal the sets from stores across Texas, the affidavit says.
Fleming and Anderson were caught on Walmart surveillance video walking down the Lego aisle
before buying a handful of other items, all in the $1 to $2 range.
The document says one of the five shoppers would then go into the store and put a matching
number of Lego sets into a cart before walking past the registers and out the door.
If stopped, they would show the receipt for the items Fleming or Anderson had bought, with
the names and prices changed. Investigators identified this pattern after detaining several of the
shoppers.
The affidavit says Walmart and Target investigators estimated the combined total value of the
items stolen to be over $400,000.
Invoices from the reseller show more than 500 Lego sets were resold at or below half of the market price over just four months in 2024.
Fleming and Anderson have both been charged with engaging in organized criminal activity and
theft over $300,000.
The arrest documents show over 273 individual thefts, mainly from stores across Texas, but also
in Oklahoma, Florida and Pennsylvania.

OSBI OFFERS REWARD
FOLLOWING LATIMER
COUNTY HOMICIDE CASE
TUSKAHOMA, OK - On January 2, 2024, the
Latimer County Sheriff’s Office requested the
Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to investigate a suspicious death.
On January 1, around 6:30 p.m., a house fire
was reported along Southwest 1050th Avenue
in Tuskahoma. While firefighters worked to extinguish the flames, they located a body inside the
residence. That individual was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical
Examiner, who positively identified the man as 92-year-old John Edward Welsh.
An autopsy revealed that Welsh suffered blunt force trauma to the head, as
well as thermal burn injuries with smoke and soot inhalation. Investigators also
learned that shortly after the house fire was reported, a vehicle fire occurred just
a few miles away. The 2019 Toyota Prius was identified as Welsh’s vehicle.
As this investigation continues, the OSBI is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for
Welsh’s death. Anyone with additional information regarding this case is asked
to contact the OSBI at [email protected] or 1-800-522-8017.
The OSBI would like to thank the Latimer County Sheriff’s Office, Choctaw
Nation Lighthorse Police Department, Oklahoma State Fire Marshal, and the
Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for their assistance with this investigation.
We are “Protecting Oklahoma one Partnership at a time.”

POP GOES THE
WEASEL
A McAlester man is waiting on a federal judge
to hand down a sentence for shooting a woman
earlier this year.
Larry Keith Mickle, 49, entered a guilty plea
in early December to an Indictment charging
him with one count of Assault with a Dangerous
Weapon with Intent to do Bodily Harm.
The Indictment alleged that on June 18, 2024,
Mickle assaulted the victim with a dangerous weapon, intending to do bodily
harm. Reports state that the victim got into an argument with Mickle. He then
grabbed her by the throat and choked her. About that time, she felt something
on her head. She thought it was his finger, but when she heard a “pop”, he let
her up.
The victim was taken to a local hospital by a neighbor and she was then flown
to a hospital in Tulsa.
The victim’s car was later found at Dow Lake abandoned. Mickle was found
later and taken into custody.
The crime occurred in Pittsburg County, within the boundaries of the Choctaw
Nation Reservation, in the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
The charge arose from an investigation by the Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Office
and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Mickle will remain in the custody of the United States Marshals Service pending sentencing.

TRAIN VS. MUSTANG -- Driver arrested for DUI
On December 14, just before 2:00 a.m., Officers responded to a call of a Ford Mustang Convertible on the
tracks in the area near 100 S. Guthrie Avenue.
The driver of the Mustang, 22-year-old Cody Tungate, later admitted to Officers that he left a car meet
event commonly known as a “Street Takeover”.
Several citizens observed Tungate attempting to
drive the convertible from the tracks, and said they had
to drag him from the vehicle as a train was rapidly approaching. At the same
time, another individual attempted to drive the vehicle from the tracks but was
unsuccessful.
The oncoming train was unable to stop in time and collided with the car, likely
totaling the vehicle. No one was injured.
Cody Tungate displayed multiple signs of intoxication and was arrested for DUI
and Transporting an Open Container.
This is an arrest, not a conviction.

A Massachusetts man got himself stuck inside a chimney while
trying to evade cops on December 10 in a failed attempt to channel
Ol’ Saint Nick.
Officers with the Fall River Police Department (MA) attempted to
conduct a raid of the man’s Canal Street home in the small New England town — only to be led on a Christmas goose chase.
As the cops knocked on the front door, they saw two men fleeing
the home via the roof, according to 10WJAR.
“[One man] invoked the essence of the seasonal icon and attempted to hide inside of a chimney,”
police said in a statement. “[He] quickly became stuck in the chimney and required the assistance of
the very detectives he was previously fleeing.”
Bodycam footage shared by the police department shows the moment the responding police
officers scaled the roof and confronted Langlias who was deep in the flue.
“You’re an idiot,” said an officer wielding a flashlight as the camera panned down to Langlias, 33,
wedged inside the base of the chimney.
The officers confirmed that the suspect was in fact stuck, but able to breathe while they called for
the fire department to come and rescue the wannabe Santa Claus.
“Get me out of here, bro!” Langlias pleaded with the same cops he had tried to hide from, according to the footage.
Firefighters can be seen in the video taking apart the chimney brick-by-brick from inside the home
as Langlias helplessly waited to be taken into custody.
“Due to his Santa-antics, Langlias was transported to a local hospital out of precaution and was
medically cleared,” police
said.
The other wanted party
jumped off the roof, onto a
car, and lammed it before
cops could make an arrest and remains at large.

THAT'S METHED UP!
No one likes the Grinch anytime of the year, but we especially don’t during the holidays!! But in this case, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit in Florida played the role of the Grinch as they took away all of the
drugs our little drug dealing friend Keith Sarr was stashing in
his house.
On December 6, the SWAT Team broke into Sarr’s residence (lawfully, of course) as they executed
a search warrant for the Special Investigations Unit. As you might imagine, the agency had received
multiple complaints about the house and it’s occupants from local citizens.
Now, at least Sarr was smart enough not to try and run once the SWAT team hit his house, and
as you might imagine, he had drugs inside his house…in fact he had 60.86 grams of fentanyl which
is enough to kill just over 30,000 people if put into a lethal dose!!
During their search they also found 97.8g of methamphetamine which is also enough to charge
him with trafficking in meth as well!! And of course, he had two firearms inside, which makes perfect sense as he is a convicted felon
and as such can’t have a firearm!!
On a positive note, SIU Grinches took all of Sarr’s crap and gave
Sarr to jail where he can make new friends to spend the holidays
with!!
Sarr was charged with Trafficking in Meth, Trafficking in Fentanyl,
and two counts of Possession Of A Firearm By A Convicted Felon,
so he qualified for one of the returning guests suites as he is gonna
be with them a while since he has a “No Bond” status!!
Don’t be a Grinch or a drug dealer this holiday season folks, especially not in Brevard County, because they will show you how the
real Grinch will kick in your door and ruin your Christmas for sure!!

NO NO AMMO
A Eufaula felon has pleaded guilty to federal firearms charges after he was caught with a shotgun
and pistol in plain sight inside a home.
Michael Shaun Davis, 57, of Eufaula, was sentenced to 77 months in prison for illegally possessing firearms and ammunition.
The charges arose from an investigation by the
Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau
of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
On February 26, 2024, Davis pleaded guilty to one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition. According to investigators, on June 15,
2023, Pittsburg County Sheriff’s deputies recovered a 9mm semiautomatic pistol, a 12 gauge shotgun, and ammunition from Davis’s residence after executing
a search warrant. Davis possessed the firearms and ammunition despite knowing that he had been previously convicted of a crime punishable by a term of
imprisonment exceeding one year.
State court documents state deputies found the weapons on a living room
chair/loveseat and the pistol had the serial number removed.
Davis will remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending transportation to a designated United States Bureau of Prisons facility to serve a
non-paroleable sentence of incarceration.
