A Lawton man was taken into custody in Wagoner County after police
discovered he was a registered sex offender in Comanche County.
Trevor Muchmore was charged
Nov. 4 for failure to register as a sex
offender and loitering around safety
zones around schools/playgrounds/
daycares.
According to the police affidavit, a
call came into the Wagoner City Police
Department about a man seen going
under a house with some kind of bag.
When the police went to the house to
investigate, they found several bags under the house, but no person. Inside the bag, the officers found paperwork that had Muchmore’s name on it. They later discovered he was a level three sex
offender registered in Comanche County and should be in Lawton.
Muchmore was convicted of first-degree rape in 2009 in Cherokee County.
Another officer found Muchmore on a corner in Wagoner and
asked him to go to the police station to talk about his business in
town.
About that time, the Wagoner Public Schools superintendent
called the police station and told them that Muchmore had been at
the school asking to see old classmates and teachers. He was told
no and asked to leave the school grounds. Muchmore confirmed
he had been at the school and was promptly arrested for being
within 500 feet of the school.
On Nov. 22, Muchmore was convicted and sentenced to one year
in the Wagoner County Jail, but will only serve 120 days with the
rest of the time suspended. He was also ordered to pay fines and
costs beginning January 15, 2014.

“Be of sober spirit,
be on the alert. Your
adversary, the devil,
prowls around like a
roaring lion, seeking
someone to devour.
But resist him” (I Peter
5:8-9).
Everything was going
well for you. Money in
your pocket. You wanted
to spend it. You knew
how to spend it. Your
choice was a sobering
experience.
The Bible says you
have an enemy who
wants to destroy your
life. To trap you. Your
choice was a bad one.
You had a wreck. Picked
up for possession. You didn’t control your anger. The roaring lion
caught you. You failed to “resist him”. Deceived.
The devil catches people by getting them to think, “It’ll be OK!”,
when it isn’t OK. You were devoured! It doesn’t need to happen
again. Seek God and you will find Him (Acts 17:27).

Resist the devil

Oklahoma Highway Patrol
Hello to all, and Happy
Thanksgiving! By the time you
read this, you will have probably made all your holiday travel plans,
if you are going somewhere, or have people coming to your home to
celebrate. The roadways will be extra busy, and with a lot of people
traveling at the same time, the chances for accidents also go way
up. I’m going to give a few tips on how to minimize your chances
of being involved in an accident, and some ways to help insure your
holidays are safe.
Every year, we work a lot of accidents on people who are “running
late”. Speed plays a major role in accidents, as well as the severity of
an accident. Speed decreases reaction time, which a driver needs to
be able to react to anything that happens in front of them. What is
the best thing you can do to not be “running late”? Simply plan your
holiday travel a little in advance. You know what time you and your
family get off work, or get out of school, so plan your departure time
accordingly. Give yourself plenty of time for delays, bathroom and
snack stops, etc. Also, if you are running late, its OK! The people
you are going to see would rather you be late, than not arrive at all
because you were involved in an accident.
Another major factor in holiday accidents are a result of
celebrating, and then making a bad decision. I’m not going to tell
you not to enjoy your holiday, and if partaking in some egg nog or
other alcoholic drink is part of your celebration, that’s fine. Just
don’t decide to drive after you drink. Drinking and driving is a
decision, not an accident. Planning here goes a long way towards
a safe holiday. If you know you are going to drink, plan on staying
where you are, or have a designated driver.
Another thing you can do to stay safe is wear your seat belt. The
accident may not be your fault, and you may be doing everything
right, and could still end up in the hospital or worse, because you
didn’t have your seatbelt on. Even minor accidents can cause
significant damage to us if we are not properly restrained. Every
Trooper on the road has worked a fatality accident which we all
know in our heart would not have resulted in death had the person
been using a seatbelt. It takes no time to put on, but it may be the
most important thing you can do this holiday season.
To sum up, slow down and enjoy the holiday season! Plan ahead,
and use a designated driver or stay put if you use alcohol in your
celebrations. No one wants to spend the holidays in a hospital or
worse!
Holidays are for celebration, so lets take care of ourselves and
each other. Thanks for listening, buckle up and drive safe.
Tips from a Trooper

FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE
On Friday, October 18, an Oklahoma Internet Crimes Against
Children Task Force member from the Edmond Police Department
arrested Stephen DeWayne Huckeba, 52, at his residence. The case
was initiated by an Edmond detective into the distribution of child
pornography on the Internet. Huckeba distributed more than a dozen
child pornography videos to the detective.
Task force members from the Edmond Police Department,
Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, Oklahoma Attorney
General’s Office, with the assistance of the Logan County Sheriff’s
Office, served a search warrant at Huckeba’s residence, 200 East
Rock Circle Drive in southern Logan County.
During the search of the residence, several computer-related items were located and
seized. Huckeba admitted to the Edmond detective that he distributed and possessed child
pornography images and videos.
The computer items will be taken to the Edmond police computer laboratory for forensic
examination. The case is still under investigation to determine if any local children are in any
of the images.
Huckeba was booked into the Logan County Jail and is charged with one count of
distribution of child pornography, one count of possession of child pornography, and
violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.

A young Frederick man was arrested
after an officer saw his truck suspiciously
sitting in the driveway of an abandoned
house.
According to the affidavit, a Frederick
officer was on patrol Nov. 28 when he
saw the truck pulled into a dark area of
the driveway of a house. Since he knew
that the house had been vacant for a long
time, he decided to investigate.
The officer saw a person exit the truck
from the driver’s side. He made contact
with the person and asked him what he was doing at the location. As the officer spoke with the subject, 20-year-old Jared Don
Rushin, he noticed that the man kept placing his hands in his
pockets. According to the officer, the man appeared “unusually
nervous” and looked as though he was looking for a way to escape.
The officer asked Rushin if he had any weapons in his pockets.
The man said no and agreed to empty his pockets onto the bumper of his truck.
The officer noticed a bulge in Rushin’s left pants pocket, so he
asked Rushin what the bulge was. Rushin replied “ice,” and the
officer, knowing that the word ice was often used in reference to
the illegal use of methamphetamines, asked Rushin for the item.
Rushin handed the officer a bag that contained a small plastic
baggie with some white residue, partial straws, two spoons, a Qtip, a syringe and other items associated with the use of meth.
Pretty impressive for a jeans pocket.
Due to the abundance of illegal items found in his pants, Rushin
was transported to jail.
Rushin is being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

OK Jailbirds is cooperating with the efforts of Oklahoma Department of Human Services to impact the huge
social problem of irresponsible parents who are not paying the child supports ordered by our courts.
If these biological-only parents won’t honor the courts order, perhaps public shame will get their attention.
If you know how to reach any of the Deadbeat Parents found on this page, please call the Oklahoma Department of Human Services
Child Support HotLine at 1-800-522-8014
Importance of Child Support
Children are our future and child support helps make sure they
have a chance at a productive life. Children have the right to get
support from both parents and do not lose this right when a
parent leaves the home.
When children do not receive child support, they can:
Suffer both Emotionally and Physically
Live within a Reduced Standard of Living
Have their Basic Needs Unmet
Become Non-Supportive when they become Parents.
When one or both parents do not support their children,
taxpayers often pay the cost of raising children. When children
receive public assistance and their parents pay no child support,
all taxpayers bear the cost of supporting the children.

A Hobart woman was swiftly apprehended
after she tried to evade arrest by running from
police and hiding in the home of an unsuspecting residence.
On Nov. 30, a Kiowa County deputy was on
patrol when he noticed a woman, Exavia Arona Timmons, 27, get into the driver’s seat of a
black truck parked in a parking lot. The deputy watched the truck, but it never moved. He
drove by to see if Timmons was still in the driver’s seat. She was still sitting behind the steering wheel, but appeared to have no intentions of moving the vehicle.
As the deputy drove by the parking lot, Timmons apparently
changed her mind and exited the parking lot. The deputy turned on
his emergency lights in order to conduct a traffic stop, but Timmons
opened the driver’s side door and took off running.
The deputy began looking for his track-star suspect. A homeowner
opened her door and asked the deputy what was going on. He explained the situation and asked if he could search her residence for
the fugitive.
The homeowner agreed, and the deputy found Timmons hiding in
the corner of a closet. He asked her why she had run from him, and
she told him that she knew she had a warrant for her arrest.
The deputy went back to the vehicle and spoke to the passenger,
19-year-old Taylor Crume. Crume did not have any warrants for her
arrest and the deputy was about to let her leave a free woman until he
saw something interesting in her purse. Crume had two cans of chili
and a can of engine degreaser in her purse. The deputy asked her if
she had paid for the items and if she had a receipt. She told him no.
Crume is being charged with petit larceny. No bond was set for
Crume, and she is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 28, 2014.
Timmons is being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, unlawful possession of paraphernalia, driving with
license canceled/suspended/revoked and obstructing an officer. She
is being held on a $7,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court
on Dec. 9, 2013.
You can run, but you
can’t hide!

A Hinton woman was taken to jail after police found meth and a multitude
of drug paraphernalia both hidden and
out in the open in different rooms of her
home.
According to the affidavit, Hinton police served a search warrant at a Hinton
residence on Nov. 22. When they entered
the residence, they made contact with
Myra Christine Hamilton, 57.
During the search, police found a multitude of items in places such as cabinets
and inside a sewing machine.
The items included multiple baggies and tin containers that contained a white crystal-like substance that later field-tested positive
for methamphetamine, a light bulb with a white residue that had
been converted into a smoking device, a used glass smoking pipe
commonly used for smoking meth, digital scales, a metal spoon with
a white residue and a working butane torch sitting beside the living
room couch.
Snort straws, a razor blade and a package of synthetic bath salts,
among other contraband items, were found in one of the home’s bedrooms.
In Hamilton’s room, police found two bags of new syringes, a soda
can with a false compartment and a metal spoon in the top drawer of
the dresser. On a table in her room, police found a snort straw, metal
spoon and side cutters.
Due to the items found in the home, Hamilton was subsequently
arrested and taken to jail.
Hamilton is being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine) and unlawful possession of drug
paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $2,500, and she is scheduled to
appear in court on Jan. 30, 2014.

Police out helping keep the streets clean arrested
a man suspected of stealing a street sweeper.
According to Sacramento Police, offi cers out on
patrol near Truxel Road and Brewerton Drive saw
a street sweeper truck peel out of a parking lot and
onto the street.
The truck promptly ran a red light – and didn’t
have its headlights on – prompting the offi cers to try
and pull the street sweeper over. However, police
note, the driver pushed on and didn’t stop until he
had hit three parked cars. The driver then bolted
from the truck.
A police perimeter was set up in the area, but
the suspected driver – 18-year-old Lavonn Dill –
eventually surrendered himself to a K-9 offi cer.
Dill now faces charges of fl eeing, possession of a
stolen vehicle and hit-and-run charges.
A Florida man who was doing a mean-spirited
Santa Claus impression might be spending Christmas
behind bars after getting caught in the chimney of a
Naples, Fla., home during an attempted burglary.
Richard Tyler Brandon, 25, got trapped in a
chimney after running out of cash during a night
out. His friend, Derek Grenfell, alerted two Naples
police offi cers about the situation after it became
apparent Brandon was stuck.
A team of police offi cers and local fi re department
offi cials broke into the home and saw Brandon’s foot
hanging in the fi replace.
“I said, ‘Dude, you’re not Santa Claus, what are
you doing?’” Grenfell reportedly said to the police.
It took two hours, but Brandon was freed from the
chimney and taken to the hospital for treatment of
issues including leg pain and trouble breathing. It
could have been worse.
“There is a chance he could have died,” said
Naples Detective Robert Young. “That space he was
jammed into was really tight. He couldn’t move.”
Brandon was hit with two burglary charges and
Grenfell was charged as an accessory to the crime
after the fact.
A Vero Beach, Fla., man who was angry with his
wife left a phony bomb on a kitchen counter, an
Indian River County Sheriff ’s Offi ce spokesman.
Randolph Smith, 51, was arrested on charges of
aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, planting
a hoax bomb and resisting arrest without violence.
Deputies received a call from a woman who said
her husband left a gray pipe with a wire protruding
from one end on the kitchen counter. There were
several hand-written notes on the counter, including
one that read, “This is (an) explosive. (It’s) a bomb.”
Smith’s wife told deputies she is in the process of
getting a divorce.
The bomb squad was called and determined that
the device didn’t contain any explosives.
Deputies tracked Smith down at a Burger King
and arrested him. During questioning, Smith tried to
leave the interview room and had to be handcuff ed,
according to the arrest report.
Smith told detectives that he left the hoax bomb
on the counter because his wife “pissed him off .”

What you’re saying
about this on...
Valerie W: R.I.P Prayers go out to the
family.
Shawna A: THOUGHTS FOR THIS
FAMILY .
Jay A: Sad.
Janae Marie H: PRAYERS
Brittany W: Why do we have such
lenient laws for drinking and driving?!?
This man needs LWOP at the minimum!
This poor boy and his poor parents. I can’t
even imagine....
Jerry D: Things like this makes me
wonder why alcohol is legal, but other way
less dangerous things are illegal.
Sabrah B: No im not a weed smoker but I
know ppl. But why is this legal? How many
accidents or deaths caused of alcohol? A
lot! Now how many accidents or death has
weed caused? Answer that one. This world
is getting way outta hand. My heart hurts
for this family I couldn’t imagine. Prayers
for this boy and his family!
Jerry D: Not only the dangers of drinking
and driving, but health related damage and
mental and physical abuse. Alcohol hurts
thousands a year. Yet its legal. Weed on
the other hand helps people, no reported
deaths or ODs, but yet its illegal. Makes
perfect sense.
Desiree H: Very sad. What was he doing
riding his bike at 11:00pm. That man
should’ve been driving and that little boy
should’ve never have been out that late
riding his bike. He should’ve been at home
in his pj’s. Everyone dropped the ball on
this one.
Jerry D: Most parents now days could
care less what there kids are doing as long as
they don’t bother the parents. Sad indeed.
Jennifer R: I was wondering the same
thing. I hope that he was coming back from
something at school or church, not just
running the streets at that time. So sad for
the family. I hope they find justice
LittleWeasel W: But wait according to
folks who love to get drunk. Alcohol has
never hurt anyone.
Virginia I: No blame except for the
person who hit the child, A family has lost
a son,brother,grandchild,friend May God
protect and cover this family in this awful
time
Ruby H: Billy was riding his bike
home from a church event called eternal
fraternity. It’s something for kids to do on
Friday and Saturday nights.
Amy S: Who gives a sh** what the boy
was doing out that late. For Christs sake,
is it the parents fault now that he was
allowed to leave the home? For buying him
a bike? What about what his brother had
to witness? How his parents feel? You’re
first thought is “why was he out that late”?
Pathetic. Really pathetic. Tragedy happens
everyday and people are always looking for
someone to pass the blame to. God bless
everyone involved in this tragedy.
Abe T: A life has been taken and all you
people can worry bout why he was out late
the real ? Why was the man drinking and
driving the kid could have been in another
car and the man driving drunk could still
have killed that kid by hitting another
vehicle this a little kid who didn’t know
he was gonna die riding his bike home but
the man knew drinking and driving could
kill someone and it did so think about that
you heartless people if it was your kid you
wouldn’t be saying things like we’re was the
parents news flash kids get hit by people
driving drunk during the day too
Dustin K: judgemental a** people, i
swear.... it doesnt matter what the kid was
doing. his life is over and you people wanna
blame his parents?
Stephanie S: Where in this story does
it say he was riding a bike? It’s horrible to
hear ANOTHER person has lost a life due to
stupidity...but where am I missing the bike
part?
Taken too soon
A 12-year-old Wagoner boy was killed Nov. 9 by a driver suspected of being under the influence of alcohol. Chief
of Police Bob Haley said the boy was riding home with his
brother when he was hit by an SUV.
Haley said the two brothers were northbound on North
Story Avenue near N.E. Ninth Street just before 11 p.m. Billy
Lord, 12, was struck by a northbound SUV driven by Richard Roth of Wagoner.
Roth left the scene but later returned, Haley said.
The other brother was not injured.
Haley said Roth, 34, was booked on anticipated charges of manslaughter
and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. Any other charges will
await the results of a blood test, but police do have reason to suspect alcohol
is a factor, he said.

A Chattanooga, Okla., man and his

led to the discovery of drugs.
According to the affidavit, an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper was on patrol
in Cotton County when he observed a red

The trooper activated his emergency
lights and conducted a traffic stop on the
car. When he made contact with the driver, Amarillo man Sammy Rosas, 31, he
noticed that the man had a pipe wrench
between his legs. The trooper also observed that both the driver and his passenger, Juan Servando Morales, 59, appeared to be very nervous.
The trooper asked Rosas to step out
of the vehicle. Rosas removed the pipe
wrench from between his legs and
stepped out of the vehicle; he immediately put his hand in his pocket.
The trooper told Roses to keep his
hands out of his pocket and asked him if
he had any weapons. Rosas asserted that
he was just getting his keys out of the pocket.
As the men walked to the patrol car, Rosas repeatedly put his
hands in his pockets, despite the trooper’s commands not to.
The trooper asked Rosas if there was something in his pocket
that he needed to know about. Rosas said no, but continued to
stick his hand in his pocket.
Concerned that Rosas might have a weapon, the trooper performed a pat down search of Rosas. Rosas began resisting and
the trooper placed Rosas in handcuffs and checked the mysterious
pocket.
The trooper found a clear plastic bag that contained a white
crystal substance that appeared to be meth. In Rosas’s left pant
pocket, the trooper found a glass pipe containing a white residue.
The trooper went back to the car and conducted a search of Morales. In the top of his left sock, the trooper found a clear plastic
bag containing a green leafy substance.
Morales is being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was released on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in
court on Feb. 12, 2014.
Rosas is being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (meth), unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia
and driving with license suspended. She is being held on a $7,000
bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 5, 2013.

A Lawton man is behind bars for drug
paraphernalia and sneaking meth into the
jail under his toes.
On Nov. 12, an Altus police officer was
on patrol when he saw a black SUV with
a defective taillight. He initiated a traffic
stop and recognized the passenger to be
Michael Travis Brown, 29, the affidavit
states.
During the traffic stop, the driver of the
vehicle gave the officer consent to search
his vehicle. The officer went to the passenger side of the vehicle and asked Brown if
he had anything illegal on his person. Brown said no and told the
officer that he could check if he wanted to.
The officer continued to search the vehicle and found a red bag.
He asked Brown who the bag belonged to, and Brown told him it
was his. Inside the bag, the officer found two unopened hypodermic
needles and syringes.
Brown repeatedly denied that the items were his and told the officer that he didn’t know how they had ended up in the bag.
Another officer on scene later informed his partner that Brown
told him that the items were his and that he had put them in the bag.
Brown was placed under arrest, and although he tried multiple
times to talk himself out of handcuffs, he was transported to jail.
The officer asked Brown if he had anything illegal on his person.
He told him that if he took an illegal item into the jail, it would be a
felony.
Brown said no, but during booking, police found two small plastic
baggies that contained a white crystal-like substance that Brown had
been attempting to conceal in his toes. The substance later tested
positive for meth.
Brown is being charged with obstructing an officer, possession of a
controlled dangerous substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and bringing drugs into a jail or penal institution. He is
being held on a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court
in Dec. 3, 2013.
