We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money or
favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting
offi cer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.
Thank you and God Bless

The Lawton Police Department requested
OSBI agents investigate a police-involved
shooting outside a residence in Lawton that
happened May 17.
According to reports, at about 9:45 p.m., police responded to 1501 NW Williams St. on a
call that a man, later identified as Duffy Randolph Ahhaity, 40, locked himself inside a bedroom with a firearm. Officers spoke with Ahhaity through the door before hearing a loud
bang. When officers entered the room, Ahhaity had fled through a
broken window.
When outside officers told Ahhaity to drop the weapon, he refused
and was shot by officers in the upper chest. Ahhaity was then rushed
to Comanche County Memorial Hospital.
The initial report to OSBI was that Ahhaity had died from his injuries, but he survived the injury.
When finished with the investigation, the OSBI case agent will give
the district attorney a prosecution report. The district attorney will
determine whether the shooting was justified.

Not many people wear fanny packs anymore, but when they do, they just might be
hiding something suspicious.
Apparently, no one told John Frederick Hutchinson that fanny packs were so
90s, because the 56-year-old Purcell man was caught wearing one with a plethora of
illegal items inside.
Maybe he just likes to keep his drugs within reach.
According to the affidavit, Chandler police were advised on April 11 that Hutchinson,
who was wanted on a Lincoln County felony warrant, was walking southbound on
Dewey wearing a fanny pack. Police located a man that matched the description of
the suspect walking southbound on Iowa north of Eighth Street. They made contact with the suspect
and positively identified him as Hutchinson, and placed him under arrest for his warrant.
Before placing Hutchinson in the patrol vehicle, the officer conducted a search and asked him if he
had anything the officer needed to know about. Hutchinson admitted that he had marijuana in his
fanny pack.
That wasn’t the only thing.
Hutchinson told the officer where to locate the drug. The officer bravely went where not many have
gone before — inside another man’s fanny pack to locate the weed.
The officer found a green leafy substance that tested positive for marijuana, two packages of rolling
papers, a syringe and three lighters.
Someone was ready to party out of his fanny pack.
Hutchinson is being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and unlawful
possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $3,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court
on May 1, 2014.

DISORDLY CONDUCT
A man told police he should have listened to
his attorney after he let his crazy estranged wife
into his home on May 22.
According to the affidavit, a man told Frederick
police that his estranged wife had shown up at
his home uninvited. He explained that his wife,
Frederick woman Kathy Renee Wright, 37, had
thrown him out of their home several months
before. He said he shouldn’t have let her in his
house, but he ignored his attorney’s advice and opened the door.
What a mistake!
After they talked for a little bit, she left, but he said she returned
about 30 seconds later and told him she forgot her keys. Due to the
lack of furniture in his apartment, the man said he could easily see
that her keys were not in there.
He said she started screaming while outside, so he naively let her
in again.
Wright asked him for money and when he said no, she grabbed his
wallet, pulled some cash out and stuffed the wallet down her pants.
While he was trying to retrieve his wallet, he said Wright bit him on
the head.
He said Wright then ran out of his apartment and started screaming that she had been attacked.
Officers noticed that the man had scratched on his head.
Wright told police that her estranged husband had texted her and
asked her to come over. She was unable to provide evidence of the
texts and kept changing her story while telling police what happened.
She complained about a broken wrist and headaches, but hospital
staff later told police that they couldn’t find evidence of any injuries.
Wright is being charged with larceny from the house. Her bond
was set at $5,000, and she is scheduled to appear in court on June
17, 2014.

OK Jailbirds is cooperating with the efforts of Oklahoma Department of Human Services to impact the huge
social problem of irresponsible parents who are not paying the child supports ordered by our courts.
If these biological-only parents won’t honor the courts order, perhaps public shame will get their attention.
If you know how to reach any of the Deadbeat Parents found on this page, please call the Oklahoma Department of Human Services
Child Support HotLine at 1-800-522-8014
Importance of Child Support
Children are our future and child support helps make sure they
have a chance at a productive life. Children have the right to get
support from both parents and do not lose this right when a
parent leaves the home.
When children do not receive child support, they can:
Suffer both Emotionally and Physically
Live within a Reduced Standard of Living
Have their Basic Needs Unmet
Become Non-Supportive when they become Parents.
When one or both parents do not support their children,
taxpayers often pay the cost of raising children. When children
receive public assistance and their parents pay no child support,
all taxpayers bear the cost of supporting the children.

William “Rocky” Art Guoladdle Jr., 34, is in trouble after he
flipped out on police when he was arrested for drunken driving
on May 30.
According to the affidavit, a Hobart officer pulled over the
Hobart man’s vehicle after he noticed Guoladdle driving without a seatbelt. Guoladdle came to a stop in the 200 block of
North Park and unsteadily exited his vehicle.
The officer was unable to perform sobriety tests because
Guoladdle was unable to stand up by himself. He put Guoladdle in handcuffs and placed him in the patrol car.
The owner of the residence were they were parked came out
to speak to the officer. She told the officer she didn’t know him,
and he didn’t have permission to be at her residence.
While speaking with her, the officer heard Guoladdle screaming loudly and yelling obscenities from the back of the patrol car. Guoladdle had also broken the light from its
mount and it was hanging from its cord.
Police placed Guoladdle in leg shackles, but it wasn’t enough to contain the drunken
man.
Guoladdle kicked out the driver’s rear side window while continuing to yell obscenities.
Guoladdle refused the state’s test and told the officer, “I don’t give a f---. I’m drunk.”
On the way to jail, Guoladdle spit on the officer and told him, “Mother f-----, I’m talking
to you.”
Once they were at the jail, Guoladdle spit on another officer several times.
Police were finally able to get the belligerent man locked away.
Guoladdle is being charged with two counts of prisoner placing body fluid on government employee, malicious injury to property over $1,000, driving a motor vehicle while
under the influence of alcohol, transporting an opened container of beer and driving without a driver’s license. He is being held on a $30,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in
court on June 4, 2014.

AG’s Statement on Execution Review
“It is important to review the events
surrounding the execution of Clayton
Lockett to ascertain what transpired
and to ensure the death penalty is
administered correctly. It’s equally
important that any such review
be conducted with a commitment
to objectivity. Transparency and
impartiality in the fact-fi nding
surrounding this execution will give
Oklahomans confi dence and lend
credibility to the state’s most solemn of
duties: carrying out the sentence of death.
As the state’s chief legal offi cer, and to ensure the fair administration
of justice, I am taking the following actions:
• Assigning investigators from the Attorney General’s
Offi ce to work with DPS Commissioner Michael Thompson as he
gathers information on the execution of Lockett;
• Designating a special advisor(s) to assess the results of
the review of Lockett’s execution, and Department of Corrections’
procedures, and then to recommend, if necessary, any changes
surrounding such issues;
• Instructing my staff to work with lawmakers on any
relevant legislative proposals emanating from the review;
• Ensuring victims’ concerns in the process are addressed.
Integrity and fairness are core values of Oklahomans, and my
offi ce is committed to upholding those values as we conduct this
review.” – Attorney General Scott Pruitt

As the weather starts to warm
up, recreational thoughts naturally
turn to the wonderful lakes
and other waterways in the state of Oklahoma. Along with the
increase of activity in and around the water, comes the potential
for drownings or near drownings, most of which can be prevented
with the use of Personal Floatation Devices. I’ve talked about them
before, but a refresher never hurts, so here goes!
First, let me just say that there are 5 types of PFDs. I’m not
going to get into their descriptions, just which types are required
for what situation. All PFDs must be U.S. Coast Guard approved,
and used in accordance with their label. The label will also state
the type. All vessels must carry one wearable (Type I, II, III,
or V) USCG approved PFD for each person on board or being
towed. In addition to that, vessels 16 feet in length or longer
must have one Type IV USCG approved PFD on board and readily
accessible. Oklahoma Law requires that all children under 13 years
of age wear an approved PFD whenever underway in a vessel less
than 26 feet in length. Each person on a personal watercraft or
sailboard must wear an approved PFD. Anyone being towed on
water skis or similar devices must wear an approved PFD. Ski belts
are not approved PFDs.
Now, besides being USCG approved, all PFDs must be: In good
serviceable condition. They must also be readily accessible. Readily
accessible means you must be able to put the PFD on in a reasonable
amount of time in an emergency. PFDs should not be stowed in
plastic bags, in locked compartments, or have other gear stowed on
top of them. They must also be of the proper size for the intended
wearer. Sizing for PFDs is based on body weight and chest size. A
good way to test this, especially for children, is to put it on, adjust
the straps, and have the wearer raise their arms up, and try to pull
it up off them. If it can come off, it is not the right size for the
wearer.
Those are the requirements, so now lets talk about the
suggestions. If you have children in or around water, make
sure they have a PFD on. Air mattresses, floaties, and other toy
floatation objects don’t count. There have been way too many
stories of toddlers near the water’s edge falling in and drowning,
and these could be prevented by following this suggestion. Also,
keep a watchful eye on those kids...even if they are only out of
your sight for a few seconds, its long enough for them to get in
trouble around the water. Last, wear one on boats even if you don’t
have to. In an emergency, you may not have enough time to put it
on. Thanks for reading, buckle up those PFDs and seat belts, and
be safe!

A night of drinking went south after a woman refused to share her
booze with her lover.
According to the affidavit, an Anadarko man was arrested May 24 for
allegedly punching a woman after she refused to give him her beer.
No, this isn’t the beginning to a bad country song.
The victim told an Anadarko officer that she was asleep on a bed in a
shed in the 100 block of East Moran when her boyfriend, Terry Eugene
Taylor, 49, came into the shed.
He asked her if he could drink a beer that was lying next to her.
She told him no, but Taylor apparently really wanted that beer.
The fact that she wouldn’t share her beer seemed to really piss him off.
When the victim refused to hand over her beer, she said Taylor
punched her in the face multiple times before leaving and walking across the street.
The officer observed that she had dried blood on her face and clothes, and there were bloodstains on her pillow that she had been lying on when the incident occurred.
The officer made contact with Taylor and noticed that he smelled strongly of alcohol, had red,
watery eyes and was speaking in slurred speech.
When the officer asked him what had happened to the victim, the thirsty man told him that she
fell down in her bedroom.
The officer asked him if he hit the victim, and Taylor said no.
Taylor is being charged with domestic abuse assault and battery. He was released on a $2,500
bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 30, 2014.

June’s Officer of the Month Award goes to…
Athena • Pushmataha County
Athena
Officer of the Month
Athena is a K-9 Officer with the Pushmataha
County Sheriff’s Office. She was nominated for
her loyalty and quick action when a deputy
was being assaulted by a suspect. She is one of
three K-9 officers the county has on the street.
On April 8, Antlers dispatch radioed that an
officer needed help on NE A Street in Antlers.
The suspect, Barney Sutterfield, was being
placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant
when he ran from police. After a Pushmahata
deputy later located Satterfield, Satterfield
again resisted arrest and tried to escape. Several times Satterfield was warned to stop resisting or the deputy would release his K-9,
Athena, and he would be bitten. Satterfield did
not heed the warning and began kicking the officer. On her own, Athena bit Sattefield on the
leg. Athena’s actions forced Satterfield to stop assaulting the deputy and taken into custody.
Because of Athena’s quick action, she has been named OK Jailbird’s Top Cop for June, 2014.

An inmate at the Cotton County Jail was caught with a phone after
a woman complained to police that he wouldn’t leave her alone.
According to the affidavit, a woman contacted police June 1 and
told them that inmate Pashal Omar Chalepah, 32, had been calling
her from a cellphone and she wanted the Earlsboro man to stop.
So much for love behind bars. Better luck when you get out,
Chalepah!
And, good luck getting out if you keep getting caught with contraband items while in jail.
Due to the information they received, jailers shut off the water to
the facility so no contraband could be flushed, and deputies conducted a search of the inmates.
One of the jailers noticed that Chalepah had a cellphone in his
hands. When a deputy told Chalepah to hand him the phone,
Chalepah broke the flip phone in half and handed it to the deputy.
The deputy informed him that it didn’t matter if the phone was broken or not.
In Chalepah’s jail cell, police found a battery for his cellphone.
Chalepah told them, “Y’all found what y’all were looking for.”
While he was being searched, he also told police, “That was my
cellphone and I plead guilty.”
Despite the phone being broken, a deputy was able to place a phone
call to demonstrate that it worked and Chalepah would have been
able to make calls.
Chalepah is being charged with possession of cellphone in a penal
institution. His bond was set at $15,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on June 5, 2014.

If you have experienced
criticism or cruelty because of
your faith, Jesus explains why:
“’If the world hates you, keep in
mind that it hated me first. If you
belonged to the world, it would
love you as its own. As it is, you
do not belong to the world, but I
have chosen you out of the world.
That is why the world hates you.’”
(John 15:18-19, NIV)
Despite the discrimination we face as Christians, Jesus reveals
what we need to know to keep going:
“’And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’”

Altus police say they arrested an
Altus woman on May 23 because
they found marijuana in her vehicle.
According to the affidavit, an officer was dispatched to the 900
block of North Julian due to a suspicious vehicle parked in front of
a residence. When the officer arrived, he spotted the suspect vehicle
and made contact with the driver,
20-year-old Shasta Dawn Roberts.
The officer noticed that Roberts
appeared to be very nervous and
was sweating and breathing heavily.
Her pupils were also constricted, and her hands were shaking.
While speaking with her, the officer saw what appeared to be small
amounts of tobacco on Roberts’s person. There were also two cigar packs in plain site in the vehicle. On the ground outside of the
driver’s door, the officer saw what appeared to be a good amount of
tobacco.
Due to his training and experience, the officer had a hunch that the
tobacco in the cigars in the cigar packs was being taken out, and the
cigars were being used to roll marijuana blunts.
He was right.
A K9 arrived to conduct an open-air sniff of the vehicle. The K9
alerted, and the officer searched Roberts’s car. He found a cigar
blunt behind the passenger’s seat with a green leafy substance that
tested positive for marijuana.
He placed Roberts under arrest and transported her to jail.
Roberts is being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. She was released on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled
to appear in court on June 25, 2014.

Oh, to be young again…
Police have arrested a high school sophomore after they learned she gave them a false
name and is actually 31 years old.
KLTV reported the Longview, Texas, investigation found Charity Anne Johnson is 31.
Johnson was enrolled at New Life Christian
School as “Charity Stevens.”
School officials said a person claiming to be
her guardian brought her to enroll.
She gave the school a fake birth date that
would have made her 15.
The school discovered her false identity Tuesday.
She has been at student at the school since October 2013.
Resident Tamica Lincoln said Charity told her she was 15 and needed a place to stay back in March.
“I sympathized with her and invited her into my home,” Lincoln told
KLTV. “I took her in as a child, did her hair, got her clothes and shoes.”
Lincoln said Charity claimed she was abused by her biological father
and that her mother was dead.
Lincoln told KLTV she acted as Charity’s guardian and even met
with Charity’s 10th grade teachers at New Life Christian School.
“I just don’t know why she did it,” Lincoln said. “Why put yourself
and others at risk to do something like this? I have deep concerns
about her being who, we don’t know she is, and then she’s out there
at the school.”
Lincoln said she called police and went straight to the school as soon
as soon as she realized Charity was using a fake identity.
“Teachers were crying and students were crying and her best friend
just couldn’t believe it,” Lincoln said.
Johnson was arrested for failure to identify/giving false, fictitious
information.
KLTV said she is in the Gregg County Jail on $500 bond.
