We here at Jailbirds realize the importance of child support to working families. We also realize it’s a real problem
in Oklahoma that custodial parents aren’t getting the money owed to them. Too many deadbeat parents are getting
away with not supporting their children and our “powers
that be” continue to turn a blind eye to it. So, Jailbirds taking a different approach in helping find deadbeat parents. In
the past, we’ve relied on the DHS website to get info, but
it is pretty lame, as you may have noticed. If you are owed
money from a non-custodial parent, it was court-ordered,
they haven’t paid, and they have a warrant for their arrest, please email news@okjailbirds.
com with the name of the parent in arrears, how much they owe, and what county the
money is owed through. We will try our hardest to confirm the warrant and feature them on
our expanded Deadbeat Parents page. The key here is that they MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE
WARRANT so we can confirm the charge. PLEASE DO NOT PUT THE PERSON’S NAME

Nicole R: Moms who can’t or won’t financially support her children get reduced housing, food stamps, insurance , educational grants, TANF etc.... dads who can’t or won’t
financially support his children get jail, liens on property, tax returns intercepted, licenses
and permits suspended , and a nice picture on jailbirds. Biased much?
Jailbirds: No, we are not biased. We don’t make the rules. But we do know the rules
and laws need to be changed. It’s not working now. Wouldn’t you agree? If you don’t like
the way things are done now, pick up your phone and call your representative. Put pressure on them. We are.
David S: You are absolutely correct. Sure glad I’m not the only one who sees that. My
ex owes over 50K to her first kids father. She receives food stamps, insurance, etc. Yet,
if I get one month behind they threaten me with suspension on my DL. Oh did I mention
we have 50/50 custody and my child is with me half the time!!! Oh I can tell so much more
about how the child support system sucks. BTW in Oklahoma the child support is handled
by a third party who claims to be with the state. Such a crock.
Nicole R: it’s most definitely not working. 50/50 custody when possible , between 2
fit parents, could alleviate financial burdens on both sides. Jailbirds, done, done and done!

issues.
Jailbirds : *smh* This is NOT about us or even you! It’s about your children! Who ever
said life was fair? Do what’s right and don’t let your kids go without basic things, even if
the other parent is not doing their part. Children need to grow up in a relatively healthy
environment. They need BOTH parents’ support, but can still thrive with only one! I grew
up with an alcoholic father who never paid my mom one dime of child support!! Each one
of us five kids grew up to go to vo-tech or college because we had at least one parent who
thought of us instead of herself. She paid a heavy price for us, and if my dad hadn’t been
a deadbeat, we would have had a much easier time putting food on the table. Growing up
on Rice-a-roni is crap. So don’t tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about because I’m a
“victim” of our system too. Only thing is, I chose NOT TO BE A VICTIM!

glad to hear you and your siblings grew up right. Gives me inspiration while I’m raising my
kids.
Jason P: I am from Arkansas and have wilfully paid my child support for 17 years
without missing a single payment. 3 years ago I remarried and my wife is from Oklahoma
she brought her 2 young daughters and I was appalled that the State of Oklahoma Child
Support Services were so out of touch enforcing noncustodial to pay their support. The
individual that owes his children is over $5k in arrears and has never made an effort in
the 3 years to wilfully pay. They seem to allow the deadbeats to slip through the system
unscathed. I and their mother support the children 100%. It doesn’t seem right that a
deadbeat of this magnitude should be allowed to keep getting away with it but I’m convinced that Oklahomas Child Support Services are,lacking a backbone or they are to lazy
to enforce the court orders. This guy has been threatened to loose his license have his
bank account froze and so forth but OCSE let’s him pay a one time payment of $50 and
all is good in their books and they drop the hearings on the matter. It’s sad that an agency
that is supposed to support the custodial parent and child support the deadbeats instead.
All I can say to Oklahoma OSCE is your lucky that the custodial parent and step parent
pick up your slack.

Keith G: Child support is a joke in Oklahoma. The ones who need the child support
can’t get it and the people who completely ruin there ex’s life over it don’t need as much
as they claim they need because that person makes good money. To base child support
off of ones income is complete bullshit.

My child is with me at least 50 percent of the time. Yet I still have to pay child support?
That’s BS. I also provide transportation to his school which is about 30 miles away from
my home. Such BS.
Keith G: The Oklahoma court system definitely favors the women, I was lucky and my
ex never even asked showed up in my case. Hasn’t been in the picture for almost 5 years
and never have I seen any child support money. Never even showed up*

best attorney.
Keith G: Sounds like you got a fair deal then, just good it should be, right? Just how*
Christina H: I don’t see Oklahoma favoring woman.....That’s just not true...I was in
a abusive relationship for years all his charges were dropped at court...I fight back once I
go to jail.. Have to pay him(my abuser) 5000 dollars and loose my kids....I pay child support...Have no problem doing that....But he never payed me a dime when I had the kids
so where is the favoritism?
David S: I’m glad you have stepped up and are showing not all us fathers are deadbeat. Keep up the great work. The kid(s) are what matters. Well Christina there are some
circumstances that it may go in another direction, but on a majority the women are favored. Though I’m sure there is much more to the story, and the violence certainly changes
things.

definitely favored...No matter what the situation is....
Keith G: I’m sorry if I offended anyone. I based my comment off of opinion and circumstances that I’ve seen my good friends (male) go through. I hate to see anyone who really
wants to be there for their kids go through the process of it all. I hope eventually everything
works out for you Christina Horne. David, I appreciate the thanks, I couldn’t do it without
the support of my family and girlfriend. They stepped up when I needed them the most
and it has helped tremendously. Keep doing what your doing for your kids buddy. One day
these kids are going to be old enough to realize the the shit you had to go through to see
them and what you did for them.
Charley E: The DHS child-enforcement division is full if idiots who don’t know their
head from a hole in the ground. It would do the state a great service to remove Jeff Lake
(the director), and fire every corrupt employee they have. Start from scratch on the rebuild
with people who really do want to help.

Becky M: I’ve been waiting for over 20 years and it being across state lines makes
it more difficult. Child support division here can’t seem to find him to serve him....and he
won’t work unless it’s cash under the table. And he has had more kids with other women
since we divorced.

type of job where his check could be garnished.

Tulsa woman Shonda Mary Jo Wilson,
41, allegedly drugged a man and stole his
phone and van.
According to the police report, an
Osage Nation officer was on patrol at the
Osage Casino parking lot on January 12
when security flagged him down. They advised him a woman was trying to get her
stuff out of a vehicle, but she couldn’t find
the person who had the keys. The woman
said her friend, identified as Wilson, had
given her a ride to the casino. Wilson told
her the van was stolen, so the woman said
she wanted to get her things out of the
vehicle.
The officer checked the tag, and sure
enough, it came back as stolen.
Officers located Wilson, who said she borrowed the van because hers
had been stolen the week before. Wilson told police she didn’t have the
keys to the vehicle. She also said she hadn’t talked to the van’s owner
because her phone was dead, but then she said she had called a friend
to come pick her up.
A towing service arrived on scene and unlocked the van.
The officer asked Wilson to identify her belongings. She pointed to a
brown purse and large makeup bag. Inside the purse, the officer located
two glass pipes used to smoke meth, a black electronic scale, a green
container with a white residue, and multiple small baggies used to package narcotics.
He also located some identification cards belonging to another woman
and a social security card belonging to a man.
Wilson said the man was her son, and she had the woman’s cards because she found them in the van, and she didn’t want someone else to
find them and steal the woman’s identity.
The van’s owner said he took the woman to a laundry mat. While there,
he went to the restroom. He sat down and started drinking a soda. He
then woke up in Wilson’s bed and his phone, money, and van were missing. He then called her and she told him she would be back in an hour, but
she never returned.
The man said he was certain Wilson drugged him and stole his stuff.
WIlson is being charged with possession of stolen vehicle and unlawful
possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $10,000, and she
was scheduled to appear in court on January 19, 2017.

We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money
or favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting officer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.

Adalberto Ramiro-diaz thought he was a smart criminal. Lots of dumb criminals think this, of course, but Ramiro-diaz could back it up: He had allegedly
been dealing drugs for a long time. This is quite an accomplishment because
the drug business is filled with risks: customers who want to cheat you, rivals
who want to rob you, cops who want to arrest you. How did he stay free for so
long? In July, according to TCPalm.com, Ramiro-diaz allegedly sold marijuana
and mushrooms to a customer. He let that customer in on the secret of his
success: “Adalberto bragged to me he had been doing this a long time and is
very smart about his narcotics transactions and that is why he has never been
busted. He said no one comes to his house without calling first and if someone
just shows up he will answer the door pointing a 9mm handgun at their head.”
Sounds smart! Unfortunately, this customer happened to be an undercover
investigator. Whoops! The alleged drug dealer was arrested in September.
In the summer of 2013, Anthony J. “Jimi” Lescowitch Jr. allegedly assaulted
a man, stole his ATM card, and ran away. He kept on running, apparently,
and the cops were having trouble finding him. So, in January 2014, the Freeland, Pennsylvania, police posted Lescowitch’s mug shot on Facebook, asking people to contact them with information on the suspect’s whereabouts.
To the cops’ surprise, one of the people who complied with their request was
Lescowitch himself, who immediately posted the photo on his own Facebook
wall along with an obscene comment. “lol I f---in love it A-----E,” he wrote according to Philly.com.
Reasoning that stupidity usually strikes twice, the cops sent Lescowitch a
Facebook message under the guise of an attractive woman, asking the fugitive
if he’d be willing to meet her for a drink. Lescowitch said no. (Very smart!) Well,
would Lescowitch at least be willing to come have a cigarette? Lescowitch
said yes. (Very stupid!) When Lescowitch showed up at the designated smoking spot, he was arrested—further proof that smoking is bad for you, I guess.
Later, the Freeland police posted a triumphant update on Facebook: “CAPTURED!!!!!! SHARES OUR STATUS ON FACEBOOK ABOUT HIMSELF, CAPTURED 45 MINUTES LATER.” The first comment on this new status: “One less

Wayne Wade should’ve stayed home. On July 30, the Florida man allegedly burglarized an apartment in the town of Hollywood only to encounter the
apartment’s tenant on his way out the door. “Uh-oh, now she knows what I
look like. I need to get out of here!” Wade presumably thought. So he fled,
only to realize that he had accidentally left his cellphone in the home he just
allegedly robbed. “Uh-oh, now the cops have my fingerprints and lots of other
incriminating data. I need to get that phone back!”
So he called his phone, maybe hoping that the person who answered would
see the humor in the situation and return it to him. Instead, the phone was
answered by a detective who was in the house investigating the burglary that
had just been committed there. According to the Sun-Sentinel, “Wade told the
cop his name and said he needed his phone back.” Instead, he was arrested,
and the fingerprints from his phone were used to tie Wade to five other unsolved burglaries. In court later that week, Wade told a skeptical judge that his
phone had been stolen. Uh-oh, no one believes my terrible excuse!

A 32-year-old Pawnee woman was
locked up after an officer found her crying
and stumbling down the road on January
1.
According to the affidavit, a Pawnee officer saw a woman, later identified as Rachel
Racquel Arkeketa, staggering northbound
on Fourth Street shortly after 1 a.m. When
he pulled up to the woman, he noticed she
was crying, so he stopped and asked her
what was wrong. She ignored him and just
kept walking.
The officer got in front of the woman,
but she still refused to talk. She seemed to
have trouble standing, and she smelled like
alcohol. He asked her what her name was. She said, “Rachel,” and told
him that she just wanted to go home.
The officer placed Arkeketa under arrest for public intoxication and
transported her to jail.
When they arrived, she refused to get out of the car. The officer pulled
her out of the patrol vehicle and escorted her inside the jail. When he removed the woman’s handcuffs, Arkeketa tried to hit him with her fist, but
the officer grabbed her hand.
Inside of the woman’s jacket, police found a syringe containing a small
amount of a pinkish colored liquid. In her purse, they found a straw with
a white powdery residue that tested positive for meth.
During booking, Arkeketa hit a detention officer in the face.
Arkeketa is being charged with possession of controlled dangerous
substance, battery/assault and battery on police officer, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication. Her bond was set at
$10,000, and she is scheduled to appear in court on January 24, 2017.

During the recent OSBI Awards Ceremony, the Bureau recognized the stellar work
performed on a cold case homicide that
solved the mystery. Special Agent Amie
Gates and Cold Case Special Investigator
Clif Gann worked together to determine
who killed an elderly woman more than 30
years ago.
In March 1985, Roxie Webb was stabbed
and strangled to death inside her Guymon
home. The police department requested
OSBI investigative assistance. For years,
special agents followed leads, but the case grew cold; however, OSBI
special agents would regularly review the case.
Special Agent Amie Gates inherited the case and began working with
local law enforcement to remind them of the brutal murder of the elderly
woman. She also called upon Cold Case Investigator Clif Gann. The two
developed a lead through the Texas County Sheriff’s Office from an inmate. That inmate had been told of the murder by the man who said he
was involved. That information led to a witness who had been married to
one of the suspect. That man had since died, giving the woman confidence she could speak with law enforcement.
Information provided from those interviews, gave special agents names
and detailed information about the murder only the killers and investigators knew. A check with Vital Statistics showed all three men had died.
However, these agents presented a report to the district attorney. District
Attorney Mike Boring felt the evidence was so strong he issued a letter
indicating there would have been sufficient basis to file charges on the
three men.
The relentless efforts by Special Agent Amie Gates and expertise of
seasoned Cold Case Investigator Clif Gann finally put to rest a murder
mystery never forgotten.

Porter man Gary Lee Poindexter Jr., 26, was arrested after he led an officer on a chase through Bartlesville
and then hid in a doghouse on January 17.
According to the affidavit, a trooper advised another
officer that he saw a white Impala traveling eastbound
on Adams Boulevard shortly after 9 a.m. The driver
wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and the car had defective
taillights, but the trooper wasn’t able to stop the car
due to traffic.
The officer located the vehicle making a right turn
onto Johnstone Avenue from Adams. The driver made
another right-hand turn onto 8th street, and the trooper
activated his lights in order to conduct a traffic stop.
The vehicle just kept on going.
The trooper pursued the car as it sped through stop signs and reached speeds
in excess of 50 mph. It eventually slowed down near Keeler and 16th, and a man
wearing gray sweats exited the car and took off running into a nearby neighborhood.
Around noon, a person called dispatch and reported that a man was in his
backyard hiding in the doghouse at his residence in the 1600 block of S. Johnstone. The description of the person in the doghouse matched the description
of the suspect.
Another person called and advised dispatch that a gray jacket that didn’t belong to them was in their backyard in the 1800 block of Johnstone.
A witness told police that he saw a man who appeared to be out of breath
running southbound through the alley between Keeler and Johnstone.
An officer located the man at the intersection of 18th and Keeler. He was the
same man who had been behind the wheel of the Impala and hiding in the doghouse. He was identified as Poindexter.
Officers located a black box on the man that contained a crystal-like residue
that tested positive for meth.
Poindexter is being charged with eluding/attempting to elude police officer,
possession of controlled dangerous substance, driving with license canceled/
suspended/revoked and improper tail lamps/tag lamps. His bond was set at
$150,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on February 3, 2017.
