A trio allegedly up to no good was caught by Panama police officers on January
26 after they tried to avoid police by turning down a side road.
According to the police report, Panama officers conducted a traffic stop on
Choctaw Street at approximately 10:11 p.m. The driver was identified as Bokoshe
woman Terra Jones, 32. The passengers were Enid man Steven Loyed Rowe, 39,
and Keota man Robert Franklin Bond, 24.
Officers checked the trio’s information, and dispatch advised Rowe had a felony
warrant.
Jones told police they were headed to Cowlington, but they turned down Choctaw Street to avoid the police.
An officer asked her if there was anything illegal in the vehicle. She told him, “I
do not know, because I do not know what those two have.”
The officer asked for consent to search the vehicle. She said yes.
During the search, police found three syringes, six 12-gauge shotgun shells,
a black beanie, black gloves, crow bar, lock cutters, binoculars, two flashlights,
collapsible baton, 25-round .22 caliber magazine and two earbuds for a walkie
talkie. There was also a sawed-off shotgun and backpack in the backseat where
Bond had been sitting.
The backpack contained black gloves, two micro-drills, rolling papers, a metal
container with marijuana and a lock pick.
Bond told an officer that when he started following them, Rowe handed him the
gun and told him to put it behind the seat. Rowe and Jones said that wasn’t true
and that the gun actually belonged to Bond.
They were all arrested and taken to jail.
At the jail, Bond handed the officer a handmade shank.
They are all being charged with possession of firearm after former felony conviction, possession of sawed-off shotgun, two counts of possession of burglary
tools and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Jones’s bond was set at
$9,000, Bond’s was set at $6,000, and Rowe’s was set at $3,000.
All are scheduled to appear in court on February 17, 2015.

REWARD: AUT HORITIE S SEAR CHING FOR SUSPECTS
IN OSAGE COUNTY CATT LE THEFT CASE
Special Ranger Bart Perrier and the Osage County
Sheriff’s Department are seeking information on the
theft of 12 head of calves that were stolen sometime between Tues., Nov. 11, 2014 and Wed., Nov. 19, 2014. from
an Osage County rancher located near Wynona, Okla.
According to Perrier the 12 head of missing calves were
pastured with the cows, and the calves were not weaned
at the time of the theft. The victim was out of town at
the time of the theft, and when they returned home on
Nov. 19, 2014 they discovered that the calves in question
were missing. The victim searched the pasture and did
not find any signs or carcasses that would support that
the calves had died.
Perrier said the missing calves were described as cross bred, black, red, mixed colored or
spotted in color. The calves vary in size from 250 lbs. to 600 lbs. All of the calves in question
have a “Box L” brand on their left hip and a notch under their left ear.
Anyone with further information regarding this case should contact TSCRA’s Operation
Cow Thief hotline at 888-830-2333 or call Special Ranger Bart Perrier at 918-275-4257. A
$2,500 cash reward has been collected and offered by the victim and TSCRA’s Operation Cow
Thief. This reward may be paid to individuals who can provide useful information leading
to the arrest and indictment of suspect(s). Individuals reporting information may choose to
remain anonymous.

A Wilburton couple was arrested January 15 after they
were caught trying to steal from some storage trailers because they heard it was “easy money.” The man said he was
desperate for money to pay for his attorney fees from a previous charge.
According to the affidavit, a Latimer County deputy was
contacted about an alleged burglary at some storage trailers
at the corner of Highway 270 West and Limestone Road at
approximately 1:45 a.m. When he arrived, he made contact
with the reporting party, who said he had been having issues
with people breaking into the storage trailers. He decided to
camp out and keep watch. He said he heard a loud banging
noise and saw two people trying to break into a trailer.
He gave the deputy several pictures taken by deer cameras
he had placed around the property.
While they were talking, the deputy heard another officer
yell at two people to get on the ground.
The officer said he saw an opened storage trailer. When he
went to investigate, he found Billy Joe Burton, 37, and Emily Elizabeth Hammons, 28, hiding under it. Hammons was
holding a long blue hammer.
Both suspects were placed under arrest.
Burton said he had been at the storage trailer the previous
night, but he was unsuccessful in breaking into the trailer.
He returned with more tools, but he and Hammons took off
running when they saw the RP’s flashlight. Burton said he
heard that stealing from the RP was “easy money” and he
needed money for attorney’s fees.
Police found lots of burglary tools near the storage trailer where the couple had been. Burton and Hammons were
placed under arrest and taken to jail.
Hammons is being charged with burglary in the second degree. She was released on a
$5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on February 17, 2015.
Burton is being charged with burglary in the second degree and possession of tools by
previous burglar. He was released on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court
on February 17, 2015.

Hugo woman Mikia Jolivette Mitchell, 29, allegedly lied
about her birthdate, then thanked an officer when he said
she looked way too young to have been born in 1963.
According to the police report, a state trooper was on patrol in the Hugo Jr. High school bus zone on Bluff Street
when he saw a vehicle pass a stopped school bus. The bus
was stopped with flashing red lights and an activated stop
arm.
The driver of the vehicle also disobeyed a traffic sign that
stated vehicles couldn’t drive westbound on Bluff Street
from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The trooper stopped the vehicle and made contact with the
driver, identified as Mitchell. She told him she didn’t have
her license, and she handed him an expired insurance card.
He asked her what her name was. She paused, then told
him her name was Monique Mitchell. He then asked her for her birthdate. She paused
again, then told him July 24, 1963.
The trooper told her he didn’t believe her.
Mitchell raised her voice and started arguing with the trooper. She asked him why her
birthdate was not believable. He told her because she appeared to be “way too young” to
be born that year.
Mitchell thanked the officer for the compliment and insisted Monique was her real
name and 1963 was her real birth year. The trooper was unable to locate anything with
the information Mitchell had given him. He asked her to have a seat in the patrol car.
When he told her the issue, she became angry and said she had the same problem with
a highway patrolman the month before. She told the trooper he wasn’t using his computer correctly and offered to punch in her information herself.
Eventually, Mitchell broke down and told the trooper her correct name and birthdate.
He placed her under arrest and took her to jail.
Mitchell is being charged with falsely personate another to create liability, unlawful
passing school bus, failure to stop at a stop sign, failure to carry insurance/security verification form and driving without a driver’s license. She was released on a $5,000 bond
and is scheduled to appear in court on February 24, 20115.

Yukon man Kyle Ashford Levescy, 25, ended up getting arrested after he called police and told them he had been assaulted by a “black
male” in a convenience store bathroom.
According to the store’s surveillance camera, there was never a black
man in the store.
On January 25 shortly after 6 a.m., Pittsburg County deputies were
dispatched to the Canadian EZ-Mart due to a man pulling a gun on a
customer. When they arrived, they spoke to Levescy, who was acting
strangely. He told them a “black male” had pulled a gun on him in the
restroom.
Police looked at video from the security cameras, but they determined there wasn’t a black male in the store at any time while Levescy was in the store.
The video showed Levescy walk out to his vehicle, grab a bag, then walk into the restroom.
A short time later, Levescy walked out without the bag.
Deputies went into the restroom to investigate. They found a propane torch and a small
cardboard box containing a baggy of black tar heroin and a jar of marijuana.
A deputy asked Levescy what had been in his bag. He told police he “got scared” and threw
a propane torch and a box containing heroin and marijuana in the trashcan.
The deputy asked him if he had been drinking. He said yes, and he also allegedly admitted
to smoking some meth before going to the store.
Levescy is being charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance
w/in 1000 feet of a school or park. His bond was set at $20,000 bond, and he is scheduled to
appear in court on February 26, 2015.
Cry wolf? Go to jail!

Two men arrested in Houston are accused of stealing
an iPad and using it to take selfies that they unknowingly
uploaded to the owner’s iCloud account.
The men appeared in the photos displaying money they are
also accused of taking from the victim.
Investigators arrested the pair on theft charges late Jan. 21.
The iPad, other electronics and thousands of dollars were
stolen from the victim’s truck Jan. 8. He later noticed his
iCloud account had images of the men holding $100 bills.
Some stolen items were dumped behind a Starbucks. The
victim believes his iPad connected to the Starbucks Wi-Fi and
the images synced to his iCloud account.
He shared the images with the media. The photos ended
up online, helping authorities identify the suspects as Dorian
Walker-Gaines, left in photo, and Dillan Thompson.

A&B w/DANGEROUS WEAPOn CHILD ABUSE BY INJURY
A Stigler woman was arrested January 2 after she allegedly lied to police about the whereabouts of an Alto,
Texas, man.
According to the affidavit, Stigler police received a call
about a vehicle in the ditch on NW Seventh shortly after
midnight. Police found a red truck in the ditch on the west
side of Seventh, just off of Panther Lane. Kimberley Renee Sweeten, 32, was sitting in the truck.
Soon after police arrived, the driver of the truck, Jonathan Earl Reid, 27, arrived in a Jeep with another man.
He had a strap to tow the vehicle from the ditch.
An officer asked Reid for his information; dispatch advised he had a possible warrant in Texas.
Reid overheard the radio traffic. When an officer told
him to get back in the Jeep, Reid walked toward the vehicle, but he then took off running and fled the scene.
Police searched for Reid, but they were unable to find
him. They impounded his vehicle and told Sweeten he
had a felony warrant. They told her to call them if she saw him.
At 1:24 a.m., police went to Sweeten’s residence in the 300 block of Ted Allen Lane. Sweeten was on the front porch. Officer asked her if she had seen Reid and what his phone number
was.
Sweeten became defensive, and she asked police why they wanted him, even though the
had told her about his felony warrant several times.
Police asked her to tell Reid to come out of the residence. She refused asked them why.
Officers placed Sweeten in handcuffs, but then said she wanted to go back inside and tell
Reid to turn himself in. By that time, Reid had fled the residence and police were unable to
find him.
Sweeten was taken to jail.
She is being charged with obstructing officer. She was released on a $1,000 bond and is
scheduled to appear in court on March 24, 2015.
Reid is being charged with escape from arrest or detention, reckless driving and no insurance verification. There is a warrant out for Reid’s arrest.

A Durant man arrested on suspicion of DUI couldn’t remember his fiancee’s name and accused an officer for pulling
him over because he was “black,” despite the fact he was driving down the middle of the road at 3:30 a.m.
On January 25, a Durant officer was on patrol when he saw
a truck stopped in the intersection of Chuckwa and Washington. The truck then started driving west on Chuckwa in
the middle of the road. According to the affidavit, the officer
stopped the vehicle and made contact with Wendell Lewis
James, 34.
Due to James’s slurred speech, glassy eyes, and the drool
coming out of the man’s mouth, the officer asked him to exit
the vehicle. He was unsteady on his feet, but when the officer
asked him how much alcohol he had consumed, he said none.
James told the officer he had just driven to Durant from
Houston, and he was getting married to the female passenger
on Monday. He said he had met her online. James added they were going to IHOP.
James was unable to tell the officer the woman’s name, but he kept calling her “Baby,”
“Baby Girl” and “Sarah.” Sarah wasn’t her name.
James did poorly on sobriety tests. He told the officer he was informant for the DEA in
Texas, so the officer needed to let him go. The officer told him that doesn’t mean he can drive
around drunk. James then told him he was just “messing with a n-----.”
During one of the tests, James blamed his poor balance on gastric bypass surgery and a
100-pound weight loss.
The officer placed him under arrest. James said the only thing he did wrong was “drive
while black.”
The officer reminded him it was 3:30 a.m. in the morning, and he had been behind his
truck, which meant the officer couldn’t tell what race his was.
James didn’t care. He told the officer as soon as he called his people, they would be on their
way to handle this, and the officer was making the biggest mistake of his life.
In the truck, the officer found an empty 40-ounce beer bottle and a partially full bottle.
James is being charged with driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
He was released on a personal recognizance bond and is scheduled to appear in court on
March 5, 2015.

An Antlers man arrested for a loaded gun in his vehicle made
a less-than-memorable impression on an officer when he was
found standing next to his truck, naked from the waist down.
“Scared” pantless man Caleb Donald Altom, 23, was arrested
January 20 after a Coal County deputy found him with a fully
loaded gun and -- let’s just say he was cocked and loaded.
According to the affidavit, the deputy was traveling westbound on state Highway 3 when he saw a truck parked in a
county roadway west of Coalgate at approximately 11:10 p.m.
The truck’s lights were on, and Altom was standing beside the
vehicle.
As the deputy pulled in behind the vehicle, the man jumped
into his truck. Altom called out to the deputy and advised him
he was naked. Unfortunately for the deputy’s eyes, Altom was
indeed naked from the waist down.
What was Altom doing standing beside his truck naked? He explained that he had stopped
to pee in the field.
The deputy told Altom to step out of the truck and -- for the love of God! -- put on the pair
of shorts that were sitting on his lap. He asked the half-naked man if he had any weapons on
him (where would he put it?) or in the vehicle. Altom said no.
When Altom stepped out of the vehicle, the deputy saw a pistol sticking out from in between the seats where Altom had been sitting. He placed Altom in handcuffs.
Altom told the deputy he was too scared to admit that he had a gun in the vehicle. The
deputy removed the fully loaded gun from the truck.
He then asked Altom where the rest of his clothes were. Altom said he had taken off his
clothing and put it in a bag in the backseat of his truck. The deputy saw the bag, but there
was stuff on top of it and it “did not appear to have been recently disturbed,” according to
the report.
The deputy asked Altom why he didn’t put the shorts on when he saw the patrol vehicle
pull in behind him. Altom said he was scared.
The scared man is being charged with acts resulting in gross injury and transporting loaded firearm in motor vehicle. He was released on a $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear
in court on March 6, 2015.

A Broken Bow man allegedly went
to man’s house, asked him to read a
verse from the Bible, then allegedly attacked him while he was reading from
the holy book.
Willis Dean Marshall, 23, was arrested after the man called police for
the not-so-divine assault.
On January 15, a Broken Bow police
officer was advised that an assault victim was at the emergency room with
an eye injury, and he wanted to file
charges, according to the affidavit.
When the officer arrived, he met
with the victim and noticed “a hematoma under his left eye area and an injury to his head and face area.”
The victim said he was at his friend’s house in the 800 block of
North Dierks watching television when Marshall knocked on the
front door. The victim’s friend opened the door, and Marshall walked
inside, carrying a Bible. He handed the victim the holy book and
asked him to read a verse. As the man was reading, he said Marshall
hit him in the face, then left the residence.
What in Jesus’ name?
The victim’s friend gave police the same account and said Marshall
hit the man in the face with a closed fist for no apparent reason. He
said he told Marshall to “get the hell off of [his] property and to never
come back.”
Police spoke to a woman who was friends with Marshall. She told
them Marshall was crying and told her he didn’t know why he hit the
man, and he wished he could take it back.
Marshall is being charged with aggravated assault and battery. His
bond was set at $20,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on
February 12, 2015.

A convicted felon with no clue
how the law works was arrested after
neighbors complained he was shooting at stuff.
The Atoka man said he thought it
was OK for him to have a gun because
he wasn’t in the city.
Nope!
On January 27, an Atoka County
deputy responded to a call that gunshots had been fired near a residence
at the intersection of Halfbank Road
and Bruno Road in Atoka. When he arrived, he made contact with 41-year-old Jimmy Lee Bicknell. Bicknell
told the officer he was the one who had been shooting, but he had
already told his neighbor he wasn’t going to shoot anymore.
The deputy asked him what he was shooting at. Bicknell said he
was shooting at an owl.
The deputy then asked the trigger-happy man if he had ever been
arrested and if he had ever been convicted of a felony.
Bicknell said yes. He also admitted to having two guns in his residence. He told the deputy, “They don’t belong to me -- I was borrowing them from friends.”
The deputy asked him if he was aware that it was illegal for him to
be in possession of firearm since he was a convicted felon. Bicknell
told him, “I thought if you lived out of the city it was OK.”
He gave the deputy the two rifles he had in his house. The deputy
placed him under arrest and took him to jail.
Bicknell is being charged with possession of firearm after former
felony conviction. He was released on a personal recognizance bond
and is scheduled to appear in court on February 11, 2015.

A Checotah woman with a history of assault was
taken to jail after she allegedly threatened to kill
her husband.
On January 18, a Checotah police officer was
dispatched to a residence located on Oakwood
Harbor North around 1:12 p.m. for a possible domestic. According to the affidavit, dispatch advised
the caller was male and they could hear a female in
the background threatening to kill him.
When the officer arrived, he saw a woman he
recognized as 26-year-old Cassie Lynn Stoker
standing in the front yard yelling at a man who was
sitting in a truck. He stepped out the patrol car, and Stoker ran into the house.
The man told the officer Stoker bit him, punched him, kicked him, hit him
in the knee with a wrench and threatened to kill him. The officer saw marks
and blood on the man’s face, hand, arm and knee.
The officer walked toward the house in an attempt to talk to Stoker. He told
her to put her hands behind her back. She told him she wasn’t going to jail,
clenched her fists and turned toward him as though she was ready to fight.
The officer tried to grab her hand, but she jerked away.
A struggle ensued. By this time, another officer arrived to assist, and he
tased Stoker in her stomach. When he turned the Taser off, she started struggling again.
The officer tased her again. She still struggled, but officers were eventually
able to get her in handcuffs. They placed her in the patrol car and went to
speak to the victim.
Stoker kept rolling down the window of the patrol car and opening the door.
The officer locked the car but on the way to jail, Stoker kept unbuckling her
seatbelt. She told the officer she wasn’t going to jail and he couldn’t make her.
At the jail, Stoker refused to change into the jail’s clothes.
Once Stoker had changed and was locked away, the officer discovered she
had been arrested in 2014 for assault and battery.
The victim told the officer this wasn’t the first time Stoker had assaulted
him.
Stoker is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon,
resisting an officer and failure to comply with lawful order. Her bond was set
at $10,000, and she is scheduled to appear in court on March 18, 2015.
