Oklahoma City man Thomas Dwayne Pierson, 54, was arrested in Poteau after he refused to leave a bondsman office on June 24.
According to the affidavit, he was drunk and
disorderly, and was harassing female staff.
A Poteau officer was dispatched to the officer in the 100 block of Fleener Avenue shortly
after 5 p.m. to investigate a report of a possibly
intoxicated man who refused to leave. When
she arrived, she met with some employees
who told her they had asked Pierson to leave
their office several times, but he kept refusing.
They said he kept asking them for a ride home,
but they kept telling him no.
The employees told the officer Pierson actually had a ride home waiting on
him outside before she arrived, but he refused to get in the vehicle.
A female employee said Pierson came into the officer with a woman and
sat down in a chair.
While the woman was talking to her, Pierson kept making crude, sexual
comments to both of them.
According to the employee, he told her he wanted to “f--- [her] mother”
and “f--- [her] up the a$$. He also took his wooden cane and swiped it between the other woman’s legs and told her to sit on it.
The employee said Pierson also kept chewing up cigarettes and spitting
them at her.
Pierson refused to stand up, so several officers had to forcefully escort him
to jail. At one point he asked, “You don’t believe me do you?”
When the officer asked what he was talking about, he replied that he
needed to “take a s---.”
In the booking area, the man continued to harass woman, telling the female officer that she was “sexy.”
Unfortunately for him, the officer recognized him from an incident earlier
that day. He was released from a hospital around 3 p.m. Officers took him
to jail, where he was released shortly after being booked in. He became
combative and refused to leave jail property; officers had to escort him off of
jail property. He presumably then walked to the bail bonds office where he
was arrested.
Pierson is being charged with trespassing after being forbidden and resisting an officer. He was released on a personal recognizance bond and is
scheduled to appear in court on September 26, 2016.

23-year-old Curtis Joseph Lee Prock reportedly threatened to kill an officer during an altercation on June 27.
The Wilburton man also tried to grab the officer’s pistol.
According to the police report, a Wilburton
officer was traveling down Main Street around
11 p.m. when he saw some vehicles stopped
near the intersection of Central and Main. As
he drove by the vehicles, he saw a man lying
across the westbound lane in the 200 block of
East Main.
The man stood up and started yelling at bystanders, “F------ kill me!”
The officer started walking toward the man,
later identified as Prock, but Prock took off running and sprinted through the Goldberg-Joseph Park. He turned westward in
a south alley, and tripped in the gravel behind a restaurant.
The officer jumped on top of him, but the man continued to fight. He tried to
pull the officer’s pistol from the holster and said, “You’d better kill me before I
kill you! I’m gonna f------
kill you, pig.”
The officer was able to get one of the man’s hands into a handcuff, but
Prock continued to resist and tried to grab the officer’s baton.
When the officer eventually subdued the man, Prock admitted to drinking
and taking pills. He smelled strongly of alcohol.
At the jail, he continued to taunt the officer and kept bragging that he was
able to touch the officer’s pistol, and how he could have and should have killed
the officer.
Prock is being charged with aggravated assault and battery upon a peace
officer, and public intoxication. His bond was set at $25,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on July 19, 2016.

For a trio of drug thieves, it was their lucky day. They broke into a home in
Silver Springs, Florida, and discovered three jars of cocaine. They took it home
and snorted the contents. That’s when they discovered that the jars were in
fact urns, and that they were snorting the cremains of the victim’s husband
and two dogs.
When an attempted robbery at a Lowes Home Improvement store went
awry, Milton J. Hodges fled across the street and jumped a fence … right into
the Cypress Cove Nudist Resort & Spa. As the Orlando Sentinel pointed out,
“As one of the only folks wearing clothing,” Hodges was easily spotted by
police.
It’s the worst possible time to faint—in the middle of robbing a bank. But
that’s what happened to a Beavercreek, Ohio, thief. The teller called 911 and
asked for medics. But you have to applaud the man’s stick-to-it-iveness. While
the ambulance was en route, the suspect handed a note to the teller demanding all her cash.
The victim’s jewelry was missing, the electronics were gone, and a window
was smashed. No wonder she was hysterical when officer Charanjit Meharu of
the Calgary police arrived. Then her French-speaking father called. Speaking
in French, she explained that it was all a scam in order to get the insurance
money. What she didn’t suspect was that Officer Meharu speaks six languages, including French.
A 12-year-old boy adamantly denied having stolen an iPhone when questioned by police at his home. And then the iPhone rang in his closet. Okay, yes,
he stole that. But as for the Blackberry he was also accused of stealing, he
double-adamantly denied… *RING!!*
Don’t you hate it when you suffer a heart attack and think you’re going to die,
so you confess to a 17-year-old murder, only to find out you’re not going to
die and then get sentenced to life in prison as a result? Yeah, so does James
Washington, of Nashville, because it happened to him.
Following a dispute, Craig Aylesworth, of Bithlo, Florida, allegedly tossed a
Molotov Cocktail at his neighbor’s trailer home … just as the winds shifted,
sending embers on to his own trailer. Luckily, he was arrested, since he no
longer had a home of his own to return to.
A San Francisco thief pedaled his bike up to a woman on the sidewalk,
snatched the iPhone out of her hands, and rode away. Unknown to him, the
woman was in the middle of demonstrating the iPhone’s new GPS tracking
device, which worked—the thief was captured minutes later.
Anthony Kenneth Mastrogiovanni was impersonating a police officer when
he pulled over another car for speeding. The driver quickly sussed out that
Mastrogiovanni was fibbing since he, too, was a cop, but in his case, the kind
of cop who doesn’t have to pretend he’s a cop because he really is a cop.
Mastrogiovanni was arrested for impersonating a police officer.
How convenient! Only a few months earlier, an Iowa City, Iowa, man had his
driver’s license stolen. Then who should show up at the bar where he worked
as a bouncer, but the thief brandishing the bouncer’s very own license as his
form of ID.
Is there no honor among thieves? While two suspects were being questioned by Ogden, Utah, police about shoplifting from a store, someone broke
into their car and stole a stereo and several other items.
An El Paso, Texas, man busted into a church and absconded with the safe.
Safes are heavy, so he only got a few yards before dropping it on a neighbor’s
lawn, where he tried to crack it open. That’s when he was confronted by the
home’s occupant—a police officer.

The Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI special agents assist with a
homicide at Choctaw Park in Krebs.
Early on the morning of July 15, a Krebs
police officer received information that
Devin Sizemore, 21, and his 2-year-old
daughter were at that park. Police had
been searching for the two since July 12
after family notified officials Devin was acting strangely.
When the Krebs officer arrived at the
park, he heard screams. He followed the
screams and found the girl floating in the
park’s pond. The officer jumped in, pulled
the girl out of the water, and attempted
CPR. The girl was transported to McAlester Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The Krebs officer made contact with the girl’s father, Devin, who was
standing nearby. When the officer attempted to arrest Devin, Devin attacked
the officer and tried to drown him in that pond. A Pittsburg County deputy
on the scene rushed in to help. The two officers were able to arrest Sizemore. He has been booked into the Pittsburg County jail on one count of
first degree murder.
According to the OSBI probable cause affidavit, Sizemore told an investigator that he “put [the child] in the pond to “‘baptize’” her, because of all
the evil in the world.”
OSBI special agents have been on the scene since early this morning
conducting interviews and collecting evidence.

McAlester man Brian Wayne Davis Jr.,
25, allegedly took some stuff from an oilfield site on July 7, including solar panels
and batteries.
When questioned about the incident,
he told police he was “very high” on meth
when he stole the items.
According to the police report, a Pittsburg County deputy was advised that a
Savanna police officer had arrested three
people the night before who had some solar panels and a battery in their truck. The
next day, he went to the well site where
the burglary reportedly occurred to check
things out.
The deputy met with a representative
from the oil company working on location
who showed him three different places where solar panels and batteries
were missing. The deputy told the man officers had recovered some similar items from some people the night before. When he showed the man
pictures of the items, the man positively identified them as belonging to his
company.
The deputy went back to the sheriff’s officer to speak to the trio about
the robbery. The first man he spoke to said he was clueless about the stolen property. When the deputy spoke to Davis, the man admitted that the
stolen property was his, and his friends knew nothing about it. He admitted
that he was “very high” when he stole the equipment. He said that he used
methamphetamine daily.
Davis is being charged with burglary in the second degree and larceny
of oilfield equipment. His bond was set at $10,000, and he is scheduled to
appear in court on July 28, 2016.

Attorney General Scott Pruitt announced the Attorney General’s Office is
joining efforts with the Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women, the
YWCA and the Oklahoma Women’s Coalition to host the 2016 Solutions,
Initiatives, and Strategies Summit exploring issues surrounding domestic violence.
The 2016 Domestic Violence Summit will be held in Oklahoma City to educate and increase awareness about domestic violence, discuss its impact,
prevention, and obstacles to change. City and state leaders, business leaders, professionals, service providers, and members of the faith community will
explore specific issues surrounding domestic violence and its effect on Oklahoma. The goal for this event is to formulate recommendations to stimulate
changes in state policy and create initiatives to benefit survivors of domestic
violence statewide.
“Unfortunately, domestic violence is a serious issue in Oklahoma, affecting
thousands of families each year,” Attorney General Pruitt said. “This summit
is an opportunity to educate and increase awareness of domestic violence in
hopes that we can make strides toward preventing the tragedy of lives being
destroyed by violence in our state.”

A Checotah man was locked up after he allegedly stabbed
a man with a knife during an altercation on June 29.
45-year-old Tutter Bert Hale told police he was just trying
to protect himself.
According to the affidavit, a Checotah officer was dispatched to the 800 block of North Broadway shortly after
9 p.m. to investigate the stabbing. On the way to the residence, he passed a blue truck.
When the officer arrived, he saw a man lying on the ground
who was “bleeding substantially.” The officer asked who was
responsible for his injuries. The man replied that it was Hale.
A witness told the officer the alleged assailant had fled the scene in his blue
truck.
The victim said he kept telling Hale to leave because he was pressuring a girl
to take her bra off. They had made the man leave four hours earlier, but he came
back to the property, brandishing a knife and threatening to kill people.
The victim said he thought he could calm the man down since he wasn’t mad at
him, but he was wrong. Hale swung at the victim with a knife, so the victim swung
back. The victim said Hale then “stabbed the s--- out of [him].”
Hale later arrived at the police department to speak with an officer. He told
police the victim started swinging at him and busted his lip. He added, “It just so
happened, I was fishing. I had my knife on me. I stuck him.”
The officer asked why he injured the victim.
Hale explained that he stabbed the man because the victim was overpowering
him and he feared for his life. He said the victim was sticking up for another man
that he didn’t like. He said he didn’t like the man because he hits women.
The officer then asked the man if he had left the residence, then came back.
Hale said yes, he was supposed to come back for a tattoo. He added that during
the fight, he was on his back and struggling to get up -- that’s when he pulled out
the knife. After he stabbed the victim, he said he ran one way, and the victim ran
the other way.
Hale is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. His
bond was set at $25,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on July 27,
2016.

On July 4, at approximately 6 a.m., the Haskell County
Sheriff’s Office received an emergency call reference a man
on State Highway 82 in Lequire waving his arms.
A deputy made contact with the man, 25-year-old Mickey Richardson and arrested him for public intoxication. He
then placed Richardson in handcuffs and buckled him in
the back seat of the patrol unit.
As the deputy was driving to the jail, Richardson managed to slip the handcuffs to his front and crawl into the
front seat. Richardson attempted to grab the deputy’s
shotgun. The deputy tried numerous times to tase Richardson without success.
At some point, the deputy exited the patrol unit and Richardson took control
of the vehicle. Richardson drove toward the deputy, but swerved at the last
moment.
Several officers in the area pursued the stolen police Tahoe. A Quinton officer spotted the SUV driving southbound on State Highway 82, the opposite
way the officer was traveling. The officer saw Richardson holding a shotgun
out the driver’s window, pointing it at the officer. The officer shot one time at
the Tahoe, striking a back tire. Richardson continued to drive.
A Stigler officer then spotted the vehicle traveling southbound on State Highway 82. The officer saw Richardson driving toward him with a shotgun outside
the window, pointing toward him. The officer took cover behind his patrol car.
The Quinton officer then picked up the Stigler officer and continued to pursue Richardson. During this pursuit, they saw the passenger window of the
Tahoe explode as though it had been shot from inside. The officers also heard
a shotgun blast.
The Stigler officer fired at Richardson. Shortly after, the stolen police Tahoe
slowed to a stop. Richardson had been hit by gunfire. He was transported to
a Tulsa area hospital.
Richardson was later taken to the Haskell County jail on multiple complaints
including public intoxication, grand larceny, and assault and battery on a police
officer. No one else was injured.
The Haskell County Sheriff requested OSBI investigate the shooting. The
district attorney will determine whether the shooting was justified.
