A task force from combined law enforcement agencies arrested four people
Nov. 12-13 inside the Cushing city limits.
Cushing Police Department, the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Payne
County Sheriff’s Department executed three narcotic search warrants on
Cushing residents, resulting in the four arrest and multiple narcotic-related
charges.
James Emil Butler, 51, Bill Raymond Lemons, 61, Diana Jean Hopkins, 54,
and Danielle Jane Milligan-Hopkins all face charges filed by the Payne County
District Attorney’s office.
Butler was arrested at his residence, 817 W. Moses St., at 2:48 p.m. Nov. 12.
CPD officers served a search warrant at the home. Sgt. Matthew Piatt, Officer
Sherman and Master Patrol Officer Hall, during a search of the residence, discovered multiple items.
Officers found a set of digital scales, a plastic baggy containing a while powdery rock substance and a green leafy substances. The substances tested presumptively positive for cocaine and marijuana, respectively.
Police measured a distance of 879 feet from the house to Northwest Park.
Butler was arrested and held on the complaints of possession of cocaine with
intent to distribute within 2,000 feet of a park, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to affix tax stamp, and knowingly maintaining a residence where drugs are kept or sold.
A day later, officers from all three agencies searched 716.5 S. Steele Ave.
Upon entering at 6:17 a.m., they placed Lemons in investigative detention.
Sherman and Hall searched the residence, where they found a smoking pipe, a
green leafy substance that tested presumptive positive for marijuana, a grinder, syringes, a digital scale, a plastic baggy containing a white crystallized substance that tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine, and a video
surveillance system. His residence measured 401 feet from Memorial Park.
Lemons was arrested for possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a
park, possession of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a park, possession
of drug paraphernalia, failure to affix tax stamp, knowingly maintain a residence where drugs are kept or sold and use of video surveillance while committing a felony
Hopkins and Hopkins-Milligan were arrested about 8:21 a.m. at 1318 E. Oak
St., in the home of Danny Hopkins.
Piatt and his canine partner and Hall and Sherman conducted searches of
the residence. They seized in the bedroom a crystallized substance — tested
presumptive positive for methamphetamine — a burned leafy substance and
rolling papers.
During the search of Milligan’s room, officers seized a smoking pipe containing a burned leafy substance that tested presumptive positive for marijuana.
Hall measured a distance of 590 feet from the residence to Broadway Park.
Hopkins was arrested for possession of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet
of a park, possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a park and possession
of drug paraphernalia.
Hopkins-Milligan was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a park and
possession of drug paraphernalia.

We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money or
favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting
offi cer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.

A Mannford woman was arrested after she allegedly
threw a pool ball at a bartender at the local VFW because the
bartender cut her off.
When police arrived at 29-year-old Lindi Kristine Dolan’s
house to take her to jail, she locked herself in a bathroom.
According to the police report, a Creek County deputy was
dispatched to the establishment in the 2200 block of Highway 48 shortly after midnight on November 15. The victim
said Dolan had been at the bar “drinking for some time.” At
one point, she fell down, and the victim told her she wasn’t
going to serve her anymore alcohol. This upset Dolan and she yelled, “I’ll have
this bar shut down!”
The victim told her she needed to leave, but Dolan refused. When the victim
walked around the bar to escort the inebriated woman outside, Dolan allegedly
grabbed a pool ball and threw it at her, striking the bartender in the head. The
victim had a large cut and some swelling above her right eyebrow.
When police went to the suspect’s home in the 3200 block of S. 401st Avenue,
they saw her run around her house. She then slammed the door in a deputy’s face.
The deputy entered the home and saw Dolan lock herself in a bathroom.
Police eventually convinced her to exit the room. She told them she was the
victim – she said the bartender attacked her.
Even though Dolan didn’t have any visible injuries, she requested an ambulance. EMS workers couldn’t find any injuries on the woman either.
Dolan is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and
obstructing officer. She was released on a $15,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on December 4, 2015.

Luther man Kenneth Ray Castillo, 25, was arrested
in Logan County after he scared the crap out of a couple women when he tried to break into their residence
on November 17.
It’s all good though – Castillo was “cool” with being
arrested.
Edmond officers were dispatched to the 3200 block
of Kathy Lane shortly after midnight because a man
was trying to break into a residence, according to the
affidavit. The caller advised that a man was walking
around the backyard and front porch, screaming and
yelling and banging on the door. The man also tried
to break into an SUV that was parked in front of the
house.
When officers arrived, they saw a man pulling on the door handle of a vehicle.
They asked the man, later identified as Castillo, what he was doing. He started
screaming and yelling and seemed to be under the influence of some kind of
drug.
Near the man, an officer found a gray shoe and a bag Castillo said was his. Inside the bag, police found a spoon with a white residue that later tested positive
for meth.
Officers made contact with the victims, who were visibly frightened.
An officer checked the backyard and found another shoe matching the one located near Castillo.
During the investigation, Castillo mumbled something about smoking weed
and needing to take care of his 17 kids.
An officer asked him why he was at the residence. He answered that he knew
the woman who lived there. When the officer asked him what her name was, he
said he didn’t know – he just wanted to go inside.
The officer told Castillo he was being arrested for burglary, possession and
trespassing. Castillo said he was cool with that.
On the way to jail, the would-be burglar became combative, and started kicking
and fighting with a jacket that was on a coat hanger in the backseat.
When they arrived, police had to place the man in a restraint chair. He spit at
an officer’s eye, but luckily the officer was wearing glasses and the lenses caught
the fluid.
Castillo is being charged with attempted burglary in the first degree, attempted
burglary in the second degree, assault and battery upon a police officer and unlawful possession of controlled dangerous substance without a prescription.

An 18-year-old Meeker man was arrested November
16 after he reportedly fired a gun after a scuffle in his
grandfather’s front yard.
Luckily, the only thing the discharged bullets hit was
a vehicle.
According to the police report, Meeker officers were
dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of S. Clark
around 10:58 p.m. to investigate some shots fired. They
were met by the homeowner, who told police that his
grandson, Ryan Donald Cornett, had been attacked in
the front yard. He said another man hit his grandson
and busted his lip.
He didn’t say what Cornett did, however.
A witness who was at the scene during the incident told an officer that Cornett
had a gun and fired off two or three rounds during the altercation. Two of the
rounds went into the ground, but another one hit the back of his vehicle. He and
the other man involved in the fight fled the residence.
An officer found them at a local convenience store. When police made contact
with Cornett, they immediately noticed that he smelled strongly of alcohol.
They placed him under arrest for suspicion of assault.
The man’s grandfather went into his home and brought the officers the gun his
grandson allegedly fired.
Officers then transported the intoxicated man to the Lincoln County Jail.
Cornett is being charged with feloniously pointing firearm. His bond was set at
$3,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on February 29, 2016.
