given the boot
An intoxicated 20-year-old man was arrested for first-degree burglary after he allegedly
broke into a home and assaulted a man with
a boot.
Officers also found a fake ID in his possession.
Reports state a Stillwater officer was dispatched to the 1900 block of East Lonewolf
Avenue to investigate an intoxicated man
who was trying to break into a residence.
When the officer arrived on scene, he met
with two men. While he was speaking with
them, a man later identified as Cash Cooper Young walked out of a nearby residence.
When Young saw the officer, he tried to hide
behind a brick pillar.
The officer asked to speak with him. Young appeared to be intoxicated and
had glassy bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and he smelled like alcohol.
The victim had a small laceration under his eye and his eye was starting to
swell. He told the officer that Young banged on his door and asked to be let
in. When the man told Young that he didn’t live at that residence, Young then
started banging on the man’s bedroom window. When the victim ignored
him, Young forced his way into the residence. He then walked into the victim’s
room, picked up a boot and hit the victim in the face. He also punched the
victim.
After the assault, Young left the residence.
During booking, the officer noticed a bar stamp on Young’s hand. He
checked the man’s wallet and found a fake Ohio’s driver’s license with a man’s
picture on it that resembled Young.
Young is being charged with burglary in the first degree. His bond was set
at $20,000, and he was scheduled to appear in court on November 3, 2020.

STATE AND LOCAL AUTHORITIES MAKE ONE OF THE LARGEST METH
SEIZURES IN STATE HISTORY
More than 100 kilos of methamphetamine has been seized as part of
an investigation into drug trafficking in the northeastern part of the state.
Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) Spokesman Mark Woodward says
his agency, along with the Grove Police Department started the investigation after developing information regarding large quantities of meth being
moved into the area.
“Over the past several days, investigators have conducted numerous interviews and served Search Warrants at multiple locations in Grove, Oklahoma in northern Delaware County. As a result, we’ve seized weapons,
cash and 231 pounds of methamphetamine which is one of the largest
meth seizures in our agency’s history.” ---Mark Woodward, OBN Spokesman
Woodward says the 231 pounds of methamphetamine has a street value of nearly $2 million. Five people have been arrested in connection with
the case. Their names are not being released at this time as the investigation is still on-going. They face a variety of charges, including Trafficking
Methamphetamine.

RUN, RUN, AS FAST AS YOU CAN
An Oakhurst man was taken into custody
after he led police on a chase that ended with
him crashing his vehicle.
Luke Thomas Garner, 27, was charged October 22 with endangering others while eluding/attempting to elude police officer, unlawful possession of CDS, unlawful possession
of drug paraphernalia, obstructing officer, and
failure to signal on turning, in Creek County
District Court.
According to the Creek County Sheriff’s
Office, on Wednesday, October 14, Garner, a convicted felon, attempted to elude
Creek County Deputies. Garner fled from the
Oakhurst area in a Honda Odyssey SUV after
a deputy witnessed several traffic infractions. Garner led deputies along the
railroad tracks adjacent Frankoma Road, eventually ramming through a gate
and abandoning his vehicle. He fled on foot with deputies in close pursuit.
With the assistance of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Sapulpa Police Department and other Creek County deputies, Garner was caught in a field near
61st Street and Frankoma. Inside the vehicle Garner was driving, deputies
located 10 hypodermic needles with methamphetamine and more than two
dozen white capsule pills.
Garner was placed under arrest and transported to the Creek County Detention Center. Bond was set at $30,000.

OSBI RENEWS REWARD AND RELEASES SKETCH OF
MAN IN CARINA SAUNDERS MURDER CASE
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is releasing a sketch
of an individual that agents would like
to speak with regarding the Carina
Saunders case. The sketch was made
based on the description of a man seen
in the area at the time of Carina’s death.
He is not a suspect or a person of interest; he is someone agents would like
to speak with to see if he has any information that might be helpful to the
investigation.
Additionally, in connection with the October anniversary of Carina’s remains being discovered, the Bureau is offering a $10,000 reward for information in the case.
Carina was 19 at the time of her murder. Her dismembered remains
were discovered behind a Bethany grocery store on October 13, 2011.
The case was investigated by the Bethany Police Department until the
OSBI was requested in April 2013. Over the course of the OSBI’s investigation, hundreds of reports have been written, dozens of search warrants
have been issued, interviews have been done, evidence has been collected and analyzed, and agents have even dug at several locations searching
for additional evidence. To date, the OSBI has not named or arrested a
suspect(s) in the case.
Carina’s case is highlighted in the OSBI’s Cold Case playing cards. The
decks of cards are distributed
through the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. Inmates can
purchase the playing cards at the
canteen. The hope is that an inmate playing a card game will
recognize a face or a case and,
if that inmate has information that
can be helpful, he/she will then
contact law enforcement.
If you recognize the man in the
sketch or have any other information related to the murder of Carina Saunders, contact the OSBI
at (800) 522-8017 or tips@osbi.

goodbye to you
On October 30, Attorney General Mike Hunter
announced a Lincoln County woman will serve 10
life sentences in prison after a jury found her guilty
of multiple sex crimes involving four children with
her boyfriend, who was convicted and sentenced
last year.
According to court documents, Crystal Bales,
35, and Johnathan Moran, 43, involved all of their
biological children in the sex acts. Three of the
children tested positive for meth and one tested
positive for marijuana. The children’s ages ranged
from nine months to 10 years old.
Two of the children belonged to Bales and Moran. Each had one child with another partner.
Attorney General Hunter said crimes against
children will never be tolerated by his office.
“The children in this case suffered unimaginable horrors at the hands of monsters,” Attorney
General Hunter said. “These individuals have no
business being a part of our society, and we want
to ensure they, and those who do unspeakable
acts to children stay behind bars for as long as
possible. I want to thank Senior Deputy Attorney
General Joy Thorp for her work and dedication
on this case. She and Lincoln County Assistant
District Attorney Greg Wilson worked tirelessly to guarantee Bales won’t be
able to hurt another child for the rest of her life.”
Moran was charged with seven counts of sexual abuse involving children
under 12. He accepted a plea deal and was sentenced to 40 years in prison.

We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money
or favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting officer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.
Thank you and God Bless
