BODYCAM OF ARREST OF 12-YEAR-OLD GIRL WHO STABBED 9-YEAR-OLD BROTHER TO DEATH

TULSA, Okla. — Bodycam footage was released Friday showing Tulsa Police Department’s arrest of the 12-year-old girl who stabbed her 9-year-old brother to death in January.

At the River Bank Plaza Apartments, Police say the girl woke her parents up before midnight to tell them that she had stabbed her little brother. Emergency personnel performed CPR and the boy was rushed into surgery at the hospital, but he died around 2:30 a.m.

“I don’t know what the f*** happened, I’m sorry,” the girl said numerous times while crying and asking the arresting officer if she was going to jail.

The 12-year-old’s face was blurred as well as her mother’s due to the policy of an ongoing investigation. “She’s never been aggressive or anything, it’s not like her,” the girl’s mother said while being interviewed by an officer right after the incident.

No motive for the killing has been released at the time and Tulsa Police Department’s Captain Richard Meulenberg said, “This is going to be a long, convoluted process… there’s nothing easy about this.”
