DRIVER WHO CRASHED TRUCK INTO COOKIE FACTORY ARRESTED

TULSA, Okla. — On Friday June 30th, around 8:00 p.m., Officers responded to a call of a crash that happened near 3900 E. Pine St.

When Officers got to the scene they discovered a wrecked Chevy pickup that had crashed into the side of Nonni’s Food Business, leaving a massive hole in the side of its building.

A fireworks stand across the street had witnesses who saw the entire incident and tried to help the driver, Jorge Ruvalcaba, but Rulvalcaba fled the scene on foot.

Ruvalcaba was found and caught by Officers around 1600 N. Knoxville and taken into custody.

After showing several signs of intoxication, Ruvalcaba was given a breathalyzer test which showed that at the time of the crash, he had a .23 BAC.

After the investigation, Officers learned that Ruvalcaba lost control of the truck while street racing, jumped a curb and crashed into the cookie factory.

Ruvalcaba was taken to the hospital and then booked into jail for destroying more than $2500 worth of private property, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, speeding, aggravated DUI, no driver’s license and of course, no insurance.
