Former Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Deputy accused of crimes against children

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – A former sheriff’s deputy is accused of multiple counts of rape along with lewd acts with a child.

According to reports, former Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Deputy, Christopher Bowles, 39, was arrested after OKC police investigated him.

Bowles served as a deputy from 2008 – 2018 and authorities say he left on good terms. 

Allegations against Bowles involve sexual interactions with two children.

The arrest warrant reportedly stated that the suspect began inappropriate interactions with one of the victims when she was 11 years old.

Reports say one of the victims told her mother that the sexual encounters with Bowles lasted for at least five years.

While charges have not been filed against the suspect as of yet, Bowles was arrested on June 8th for one count of rape by instrumentation, five counts of first-degree rape, and five counts of lewd acts with a child.

The suspect is booked in the Oklahoma County Jail with a bond set at $600,000. (News 9)
