POLICE CHASE ENDS WITH A WOMAN’S BODY FOUND IN BACK SEAT OF CAR

BAY AREA, Cali. — Sunday afternoon, Milpitas police ended up in a high-speed chase with a man who was suspected of killing his ex-girlfriend.
Police received a phone call requesting a welfare check of the victim near Dixon Road and N. Milpitas Boulevard, as it was suspected that the victim’s ex-boyfriend was potentially following her. (Kron4).
When they arrived to the area, officers noticed the victim’s car leaving the parking lot at high speed, leading to a pursuit. A witness at the location told officers, “they saw a deceased female inside the vehicle.” (SFGATE).
The pursuit ended in Fremont, California, where the suspect crashed the vehicle. The 42-year-old man had some injuries and was taken to the hospital.
When police searched the car, the 35-year-old victim was found in the backseat. Life saving measures were attempted, but she was ultimately declared dead at the scene. The victim appeared to have injuries that reflected assault with a weapon.
Names of both the victim and the suspect have yet to be released.
