Thomas man Justin David Ogletree, 27, was just a passenger in a car
an officer pulled over, but his attitude
and disruptive comments got him in
some major trouble.
Ogletree was arrested because he
just wouldn’t keep his mouth shut.
And no, Ogletree, the First Amendment doesn’t save you from this.
According to the police report, a
Thomas officer stopped a vehicle at
Fifth and Westine on April 2. The
driver wasn’t the problem, though.
Passenger Ogletree kept cussing and
making “smart comments.”
The officer kept telling the man to stop. He gave the driver a ticket
and asked for permission to search the vehicle. When the driver said
yes, Ogletree became even more disruptive. When an officer again
told him to stop, the man allegedly said, “F--- you. I have freedom of
speech.” He then said he was going to walk away “before I f--- these
guys up. “
The officer told Ogletree he was under arrest for threatening to
harm officers. Ogletree jerked away and spit at the officer.
On the way to the patrol vehicle, Ogletree started kicking the officer and he called him a “punk ass bitch.”
Ogletree continued to go from being calm one minute to hostile
the next. He kept fighting and cussing police, but officers were eventually able to get in the patrol vehicle. He was transported to jail and
locked up.
Ogletree is being charged with assault and battery upon a police
officer and obstructing officer. He is scheduled to appear in court on
May 1, 2015.

The OSBI was requested to assist the Pottawatomie County
District Attorney’s Office in the homicide investigation of Samantha Weaver, who has been missing since June 2012.
The DA’s Office recently received information that Weaver
was buried in a clandestine grave in rural Pottawatomie County, outside of Shawnee, Oklahoma.
In November 2014, the OSBI added a new “crime-fighting
tool” to its arsenal, a ground-penetrating radar. The groundpenetrating radar was utilized in this case and aided in finding
human remains, buried in a clandestine grave.
This search and recovery has been a collaborative effort between personnel from the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office, Shawnee Police Department, Pottawatomie County District Attorney’s Office, Office of the Chief Medical Examiner,
University of Oklahoma Forensic Archaeology Department,
and the OSBI.
The OSBI aims to stay a pioneer in law enforcement in the State of Oklahoma and is
pleased to be able to offer this technology (ground-penetrating radar) to law enforcement, in
the pursuit of justice.

On March 6, 1969, the first woman placed on the FBI's
Most Wanted list goes before an Oklahoma City judge after
her true identity is discovered a day earlier by OSBI fingerprint specialists.
Ruth Eisemann-Schier was wanted for her role in the kidnapping of Barbara Mackle from an Atlanta, GA, motel December 17, 1968.
Schier was using an assumed name when picked up at a
Norman drive-in restaurant several months later where
she worked as a car hop. Schier was living under the name
Donna Willis when she applied for a job at the Central State
Hospital in Norman. As stated in an article printed by The
Daily Oklahoman,
“As a routine procedure, she was fingerprinted and her fingerprints were sent to the crime bureau for a check against
criminal records. They were received Tuesday night. Mrs. Jean Price, a fingerprint technician at the crime bureau two years, noticed Wednesday morning that the prints matched
those of Ruth Eisemann-Schier.”

A Sayre man allegedly tried to break
into a home the morning of March 23.
Unfortunately for him, the resident was
home, and he recognized the suspect.
A Sayre police officer was dispatched
to the 400 block of Spurlin Drive at approximately 11:44 a.m. The caller said
51-year-old Randy Art Logan was trying
to get into his house.
The man told the officer he was sitting
in a chair when he heard the doorbell
ring. He went and looked out the window
to see who was ringing his doorbell. He
recognized the culprit as Logan.
The man said Logan then left his front porch and walked around
to the back of his home. The man heard the back door rattle, like
someone was trying to get in. The man said he grabbed his gun and
looked out the window to get a better view of Logan trying to break
into his home.
When Logan was unable to get in the house, the man said he took
off walking down an alley.
The officer found Logan walking around about a block east of
the victim’s residence. The officer confronted him at a residence in
the 1900 block of Iowa Circle. He asked the man why he was going
around knocking on people’s doors. Logan said he was looking for
work.
The officer then asked why he went to the back door and tried to
open it. Logan said because he wanted to see if someone was home.
The officer searched Logan’s person, and he found three flashlights and a pair of pliers. He placed the man under arrest and took
him to jail
Logan is being charged with attempted burglary in the first degree.
His bond was set at $15,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court
on April 16, 2015.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said it arrested a man for allegedly
driving up to 176 mph on Interstate 35 early on March 29.
Robert Bell was arrested after his car’s engine blew out.
He has been charged with speeding, failure to signal, fleeing and
eluding, impeding traffic, reckless driving, and an expired tag.
Bell was driving a Nissan Skyline GT-R, which was reportedly
used for racing. According to KHON-TV, a racing event was held in
Wichita over the weekend and some of the drivers, Bell among them,
were returning to Kansas City and impeding traffic on I-35.
The Kansas Highway Patrol and Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies
pursued Bell’s car and also notified Osage County and Coffey County
authorities that they might need assistance in stopping the vehicle.
Bail was set at $100,000.

A Blaine County deputy caught an
El Reno man in the midst of a crime on
March 31.
Brandon Levi Morton, 23, was arrested
for stealing a piece of plastic and small
vial of Mary Kay perfume out of a camper
trailer.
According to the affidavit, the deputy
was advised of the break-in 2 ½ miles
south of Watonga shortly after 6 p.m.
When he arrived at the camper trailer, he
noticed that the door was cracked open.
He ordered the suspect out of the camper
on his loud speaker. A short while later, Morton stumbled out out of
the trailer.
The deputy placed the alcohol-smellin’ man under arrest and
asked him if he had anything in his pockets the deputy needed to
know about. Morton said no.
At the jail, Morton emptied his pockets. Some of the items included a pipe with a burnt residue, a blue plastic clip (the deputy noticed
the clip had the name of refrigerator brand on it) and a small tube of
Mary Kay perfume.
Knowing that one of the owners of the trailer was a Mary Kay representative, the deputy didn’t think Morton was going to be driving
around in a pink car anytime soon.
After Morton was placed in a cell, the deputy returned to the residence where the crime occurred. The owners told him they were
missing a blue piece of plastic used to hold the fridge door open
when they weren’t using it and a small bottle of perfume.
Busted!
Morton is being charged with burglary in the second degree and
unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 22, 2015. Bond information was unknown at
time of print.

A brother and sister duo was arrested March 27 for assaulting a
man in Cordell. No one could tell police what the fight was about.
Cordell officers were dispatched to the 300 block of North Market
shortly after 8 p.m. for a fight in progress, according to the affidavit.
When they arrived, they saw 22-year-old Ashley Kay Jackson fighting with a man. When police pulled up, Jackson took off running.
An officer ran after her and placed her in handcuffs.
The man she was fighting with told police Jackson’s brother,
Binger man Joseph James Paul Jackson, 23, had come to his residence “talking s---” and wanting to fight. The man said while they
were fighting, Ashley Jackson joined in and hit him several times.
The man said sometime during the altercation, he ran inside and
grabbed a baseball bat in an attempt to scare the jacked-up Jacksons.
It didn’t work.
Ashley Jackson somehow got ahold of the bat and chased the man
around the yard. She then took the bat and broke the home’s front
door glass window.
When asked about the baseball incident, Ashley Jackson said she
would “protect [her] brother.” Multiple witnesses backed up the victim’s account of events.
Joseph Jackson approached police and told them it was all his
fault and his sister didn’t do anything wrong. He smelled like alcohol and he seemed to have trouble asking questions.
Police asked him if he had been involved in a fight. He responded, “With who?” He admitted to drinking but still acted like he didn’t know what the heck police were talking about.
An officer pointed at the victim and asked the man if they had fought.
He said, “With who? I don’t know those f------ people, and I don’t give a f--- about knowing
them!”
Well, OK then!
Ashley Jackson is being charged with assault and battery. She was released on a $1,200
bond. Joseph Jackson is being charged with assault and battery. His bond was set at $2,500.
Both Jacksons are scheduled to appear in court on June 4, 2015.
