SECRET FOLDERS
A private school principal in Yukon was caught red-handed
at his home when investigators found child sexual abuse material secretly hidden on his phone.
According to a press release by Canadian County Sheriff
Chris West, on March 25, 2025, at approximately 6:30 AM,
the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in Yukon as part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Upon entering the
residence, authorities gathered all occupants for questioning.
Kevin Cobbs, the suspect in the investigation, was informed about the search warrant and provided
him with a copy.
During the interview, Cobbs was informed of his rights and consented to a conversation with
investigators. At 6:39 AM, he was read his Miranda Rights and acknowledged them by signing a
waiver. During questioning, Cobbs admitted to viewing explicit material involving various adult and
adult-female relationships but denied seeking or possessing images related to CSAM.
Investigators further examined Cobbs’ personal devices, including his iPhone. Upon review, they
discovered a disturbing image in a hidden folder within the photo app on his phone. The image depicted a young, nude male, whom Cobb identified as a 16-year-old boy. He said he knew the victim
and provided details on how to locate him.
Cobbs was asked to explain why the photo was stored on his device, and he responded that he
was unsure how to handle it after it was airdropped to him by the young male. He acknowledged
knowing about the image but failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for its possession. Cobbs
had placed the photograph in a hidden folder on his phone to conceal it, but investigators used
forensic examination methods to recover and preserve the photo as evidence.
Based on the discovery of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on Cobbs’ phone, he was promptly
informed of his arrest and subsequent charges of possession of such material. Despite being offered
the chance to undergo a polygraph examination, Cobbs declined. Without incident, he was taken
into custody and transported to the Canadian County Jail. The ongoing investigation will likely reveal further details as they become available. Cobbs’s bond was set at $25,000, and he has since
secured his release from jail.
During the forensic examination of Cobbs’s iPhone, additional evidence was unearthed, including
more photographs of young males who had been traded on Snapchat. These photos were cleverly
concealed behind a photo vault to prevent unwanted access. Moreover, forensic examination uncovered video evidence taken by Cobbs that depicted underage children in their underwear.
The Canadian County Sheriff’s Office is collaborating closely with the Canadian County District
Attorney’s Office and will present additional charges against Cobbs, including lewd acts with a child,
attempting to delete evidence, and more. As the forensic examinations progress, the sheriff’s office
anticipates the discovery of further evidence, which may lead to the filing of additional charges with
the district attorney’s office.
Cobbs was employed at the time of his arrest as the principal of Southwest Covenant High
School.
If you suspect that your child may be a victim of such exploitation, please reach out to the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office for assistance and contact the investigation division. FRANK

BAD GIRLFRIEND
A felony warrant has been issued for 24-yearold Sayre woman accused of ripping off an elderly
woman.
Abbagail Marie Lingle, 24, was charged April 2
with obtaining financial institution information by
false statement and taking/receiving stolen credit
or debit card, in Beckham County District Court.
According to reports, Lingle has been issued a
felony arrest warrant for the two charges.
The charges stem from an incident reported on February 23, 2025. An elderly Sayre resident contacted local authorities, claiming that Lingle and her
boyfriend, the woman’s grandson, had been staying at her residence without
her permission for several weeks. Initially, the woman had allowed the couple
to stay temporarily while they awaited a ride, but they allegedly returned after
leaving for a short while.
The situation escalated when the woman discovered that her credit card had
been used without her consent. She reported that Lingle had transferred $125
to herself via PayPal using the woman’s card. When confronted, Lingle denied
the accusations.
To support her allegations, the victim provided banking documentation. She
stated that she has been trying to remove the couple from her residence, where
they allegedly continued to stay at her house when she didn’t want them there.
Lingle’s bond has been set at $2,500.

YOU'RE FIRED!
A 46-year-old man who served as the police
chief/officer for the town of Arapaho was terminated by the Arapaho Town Council on March 25.
The council terminated Jah Malachi Banks
during a special meeting after they originally hired
him on March 6. Reports state the town council
voted to remove the man from his position due to
pending criminal matters.
On March 9, Banks was arrested in Weatherford after he allegedly removed
an affixed license plate to a motor vehicle to conceal. He was also driving with
a suspended license.
During the traffic stop, the man had the Arapaho Police badge and a weapon
on his person. He also had a 12-gauge shotgun in his vehicle along with several
different Pennsylvania driver’s licenses.
During the session, Banks had the opportunity to address the town council.
He said he was proud when the town council hired him, but he felt as though he
became a target for some reason. He also said he didn’t understand why there
was a special meeting called.
Arapaho legal council said that since Banks was a probationary employee,
he would have only been able to issue citations. He wouldn’t have been able to
place anyone under arrest.
Banks is being charged with driving with license canceled/suspended/revoked. His bond was set at $1,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on
May 13, 2025.

on charges of Methamphetamine trafficking following an extensive investigation. The operation resulted in the recovery of
approximately 12 pounds of methamphetamine.
On Wednesday March 5, 2025, law enforcement agencies
executed a search warrant at a residence in Hope, in a coordinated effort targeting suspected Methamphetamine distribution in Hempstead County. Investigators seized approximately 12 pounds of methamphetamine, valued at approximately
$40,000.00. Thomas was taken into custody without incident
and now faces Trafficking charges.
“The success of this operation is a direct result of the collaboration between local, state, and federal law enforcement
agencies,” said Gary Dorman, Director of the 8th North Drug
Task Force. “The distribution of methamphetamine continues
to be a serious threat to our communities, and we remain committed to holding traffickers accountable.”
The 8th North Drug Task Force is comprised of deputies and
officers from the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office, the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office, the Hope Police Department, and
the Prescott Police Department. Their combined efforts, along
with assistance from the 8th South Drug Task Force, 9th West Drug Task Force, and the
FBI, were instrumental in the success of this investigation.
Thomas is currently being held at the Hempstead
County Detention Center
Also Arrested was David
Bentley age 60 of Nashville, Arkansas for Conspiracy to Commit Trafficking.
Both were taken to the
Hempstead County Detention Center to await a
first court appearance.

HOT ROD LINCOLN
A Sentinel man thought he could escape justice
as he led officers on a high-speed chase through
Cordell on April 1, but he was the one that was
fooled.
Joe Thomas Jordan, 40, was charged April 4
with felony endangering others while eluding/attempting to elude police officer and DUI, in Washita County District Court.
According to court information, on April 1, a Washita County deputy pulled
Jordan’s 2020 Lincoln SUV over for a traffic violation and Jordan was asked to
step out of the vehicle. Instead of doing what he was told, Jordan accelerated
away, and drove south on Linwood Street, turned east to Glenn English Street,
and failed to stop at stop signs. He then turned south on Glenn English Street
and accelerated. He was about to rear end a tractor trailer but suddenly made
an aggressive lane change to avoid a collision. He continued to drive left of center, causing other motorists to take evasive actions.
Jordan eventually came to his senses and stopped his vehicle at the intersection of US HWY 183 and CR 1210. At that time, it was discovered he was driving
under the influence and he was escorted to the Washita County jail.
Bond for Jordan was set at $50,000 and he was ordered back to court on
May 6 for his preliminary hearing conference.

AROUND THE STATE
Suspects caught in Owasso after the felonious incident at
a Tulsa Burger King
On March 6, around 6:30 p.m., Officers responded to
the Burger King near 81st and Garnett for a call about an
armed robbery.
The victim told us that he was selling clothes to the
suspect from a Facebook Marketplace post and met with
him at the Burger King to make the exchange.
The suspect, Billy Davis, arrived in a black BMW. Instead of paying the victim, Davis pulled out a handgun,
robbed the victim, then took off.
Around 10:20 p.m., a Lieutenant with the Tulsa Police Mingo Valley Street Crimes Unit
spotted the suspect vehicle on 169 NB heading north. With help from Patrol Officers, our K-9
Unit, and the Owasso Police Department, we stopped the car in Owasso at 76th St. North
and Highway 169.
The victim arrived at the scene and identified Billy Davis as the suspect and another teenager as the getaway driver from the robbery. Officers searched the vehicle and recovered the
clothing that was taken during the robbery.
Billy Davis was arrested for Robbery with a Firearm. The driver of the BMW is a juvenile
and a tribal member who falls under the McGirt ruling. He was released to his parents, and
the case will be sent to tribal authorities.
The other two individuals in the vehicle, also juveniles, were released.
Great collaboration from our Officers and
Owasso in making this arrest!
This is an arrest, not a conviction.
P.S. With the proliferation of online person-to-person sales, we strongly encourage
people to use our parking lots for the exchange.
Our safe spaces are also ideal for child custody
changes.
