An El Reno nurse was taken into custody after investigators discovered his extensive collection of child pornography.
A felony aggravated possession of child
pornography charge was filed Dec. 6 against
Shannon Cohee, 48, in Canadian County District Court.
Online undercover investigators were
searching the web for sexual predators Nov.
29 when they came across Cohee. Reports
from the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office
claim they found 14 hard drives, three computers, and over 25,000
videos and images of child pornography in Cohee’s home. Reports say
he kept an entire room just for his pornography. The room included
a fingerprint scanner for the computers so he could only access the
data, and books on how to molest children and get away with it.
Three hospitals where Cohee has worked as a registered nurse and
paramedic are co-operating with authorities in getting patient names
who have been in contact with him, reports say, even though Cohee
claims he never had any inappropriate contact with any pediatric patients.
He was booked into the Canadian County Jail.

What The Bible Says About Drugs
Respect the drug laws of the land – Finding specific
reference to drugs in the Word of God is difficult. However,
the effects from illegal drugs and abuse of prescription
medication is obviously against the law of man. It is illegal,
therefore, as Christians and citizens, we are to respect the
laws of the land. God has put people in government positions
to make choices for the better of mankind (remains to be
determined if man has done a good job or not).
Altering our minds – We also know that in several places
throughout the Bible we are warned of the foolishness of
altering our minds by way
of alcohol. In 1 Peter 2:11,
we are to abstain from
the passions of the flesh,
which wage war against our
soul. Therefore, anything
that causes us to destroy
ourselves, obviously should
be avoided. This could
be interpreted as drugs,
alcohol, sexual immorality,
gluttony, etc.

A British man has been charged with murdering his American beautician wife at their
home in England.
Janee Parsons, 31, who grew up in the Mustang/Yukon area before moving to England
with her husband and two children, died of
multiple stab wounds at their detached house
in Bicester, a town northwest of London. Her
husband Andrew, 38, appeared Nov. 4 before Oxford Magistrates Court, according to
Thames Valley Police.
Janee was found by police after they were called to her home on Dec. 1. Officers and paramedics tried to resuscitate her, but she was declared dead at hospital.
Detectives were given extra time to question Parsons, after he was found in their rented
house with his severely injured wife. Neighbors heard chilling screams and called authorities.
The couple’s sons, aged eight and five, were not in the house at the time their mother was
killed, although police would not confirm where the children were.
A examination revealed she had died from multiple stab wounds.
The pair had lived in the rented house in Bicester in Oxfordshire for around 18 months.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol
Today, I’m going to discuss who
has the biggest impact on our
new drivers that hit the road each
and every day. First, the Oklahoma Driver’s Education classes and
schools across the state are second to none, and do a fantastic job
of educating our young drivers on the law, and proper way to safely
operate a motor vehicle. I would like to point to some other folks, who
I believe have a far greater impact on how our youngsters approach
driving, and address them, and that is the adults who these young
drivers look up to: the parents, older siblings, and extended family.
If you fit in this category, please pay attention. I believe that our
kids learn their driving behavior not from the Oklahoma Highway
Patrol, other law enforcement, or driver’s education instructor, but
from you, the parents and family. I know I learned that way! Let me
give you some examples.
You are a dad, and for whatever reason, when you are driving in
town, or on a county road, you just don’t buckle up. Maybe its because
you don’t drive fast in these areas, or have a farm tag and just don’t
have to; however, you do buckle up when you get on highways or go
on long drives. The message you are sending is that when you are in
the vehicle there are certain times that it is ok not to wear your seat
belt. If dad doesn’t have to do it, I don’t either! In fact, at least 50%
of all accidents happen on county roads, and you are more likely to be
in an accident within 10 miles of your residence than otherwise. So
the real message you are sending is, don’t buckle up during the times
that you are most likely to need it!
Next, mom gets off work at 5:00, and one of the kids has a ball
game in another town at 5:30. She can get there if she speeds. After
all, it is important to get to those activities, and it won’t hurt to push
the speed just a little. The message you send to your kids is, its ok to
speed, as long as you can justify it! The facts are that unsafe speeds
kill more young people 16 to 25 than any other single thing! The
message here needs to be that its ok to slow down and show up a few
minutes late.....it is much better than the alternative, which is never
showing up at all because you’ve been involved in an accident.
Please remember, when you are driving, you are setting the example
for someone....and they are watching you all the time. What message
are you sending? I hope it’s the one that says, I’ll lead by example
because I love you, and want to do my part to keep you safe! Thanks
for reading, buckle up, and be safe!

Oklahoma City: Dennis Newton was on trial for the
armed robbery of a convenience store in a district court
when he fi red his lawyer. Assistant district attorney
Larry Jones said Newton, 47, was doing a fair job of defending himself until the store manager testifi ed that
Newton was the robber. Newton jumped up, accused
the woman of lying and then said, “I should of blown
your (expletive) head off .” The defendant paused, then
quickly added, “if I’d been the one that was there.” The
jury took 20 minutes to convict Newton and recommended a 30 year sentence.
A motorist was unknowingly caught in an automated speed trap that measured his speed using radar and
photographed his car. He later received in the mail a
ticket for $40 and a photo of his car. Instead of payment, he sent the police department a photograph of
$40. Several days later, he received a letter from the
police that contained another picture... of handcuff s.
The motorist promptly sent the money for the fi ne.
A woman was reporting her car as stolen, and mentioned that there was a car phone in it. The policeman
taking the report called the phone and told the guy
that answered that he had read the ad in the newspaper and wanted to buy the car. They arranged to meet,
and the thief was arrested.
Drug Possession Defendant Christopher Jansen,
on trial in March in Pontiac, Michigan, said he had
been searched without a warrant. The prosecutor said
the offi cer didn’t need a warrant because a “bulge” in
Christopher’s jacket could have been a gun. Nonsense,
said Christopher, who happened to be wearing the
same jacket that day in court. He handed it over so the
judge could see it. The judge discovered a packet of
cocaine in the pocket and laughed so hard he required
a fi ve minute recess to compose himself.
Detroit: R.C. Gaitlan, 21, walked up to two patrol
offi cers who were showing their squad car computer
equipment to children in a Detroit neighborhood.
When he asked how the system worked, the offi cer
asked him for identifi cation. Gaitlan gave them his
drivers license, they entered it into the computer, and
moments later they arrested Gaitlan because information on the screen showed Gaitlan was wanted for a
two-year-old armed robbery in St. Louis, Missouri.

Deaths in crashes involving drunk drivers
with a blood alcohol
concentration (BAC) of
.08+ dropped in 2010,
but despite this decrease, there were still
10,228 lives lost – that’s
one person every 51
minutes. That makes it
everyone’s problem.
It seems that many people were doing their part to put a stop to
this completely preventable epidemic. Alcohol-related traffic fatalities reached a low point in the late 1990s. Research also indicates
that 62% of Americans exposed to the now-iconic Friends Don’t Let
Friends Drive Drunk campaign have personally intervened to stop
someone from driving drunk, no doubt saving countless lives.
However, since the late 90’s, alcohol-related driving deaths have
been steadily increasing. It seems that though the campaign was
very successful, it did not change the behavior of many potential impaired drivers. Many thought the messages to be targeted at overtly
drunk drivers, and not them. When decision time came, they would
consider themselves merely “buzzed” and get behind the wheel.
The new PSAs created to address this gap were released in December 2005 with the objective to inspire dialogue and recognition
of the dangers of “buzzed” driving and subsequently, to motivate
people to stop driving buzzed. The next installment expands on this
message, equating buzzed driving and drunk driving and demonstrating the devastating consequences that can occur as a result of
buzzed driving. The overall campaign hopes to educate people that
consuming even a few drinks can impair driving and that Buzzed
Driving is Drunk Driving.

Weatherford for the past several weeks investigating the October 15th disappearance of Jaray Mickell Wilson,” OBN spokesperson Kevin Woodward said. “While following up on
leads in the case, our Agents, along with the
Custer County Sheriff’s Department, Weatherford Police Department, and Oklahoma
City Police Department, developed information leading to two suspects in the September
10th, 2012 homicide of Jonathon Kyle Patton
in far southeast Oklahoma County.”
Woodward also said Paz and Southerland
have not been ruled out as suspects in Jaray
Wilson’s disappearance.
OBN Director Darrell Weaver says the agency’s Human Trafficking Unit will continue to work aggressively to find answers in Wilson’s disappearance.
“It’s amazing the tireless, relentless and focused work of the OBN
Human Trafficking Unit in trying to locate missing Jaray Wilson. I
commend this elite group of crime fighters and investigators who
have teamed with the Custer County Sheriff’s office, Weatherford
Police Department and the OCPD to pursue justice. We will continue
to work tirelessly to find Jaray or other human trafficking victims in
our state. Frankly, losing one of our young people to such a horrific
crime is simply unacceptable! We will never retreat or concede to
those that want to do harm to our citizens.”
Anyone with information about Jaray Wilson’s disappearance is
urged to call OBN at 1-800-522-8031.

Garry Thomas Allen:
Executed Nov. 6, 2012
Convicted murderer Garry Thomas Allen,
whose Oklahoma execution had been halted
three times while legal questions about his
mental health were debated, was put to death
by lethal injection Nov. 6, a state prison
spokesman said.
Allen, 56, killed the mother of his two children
on November 21, 1986, gunning her down in
front of daycare workers after she arrived to
pick up the couple’s 2- and 6-year-old sons.
Gail Titsworth, 24, had moved out of Thomas’
home four days earlier and rebuff ed his pleas
to return.
Allen was drunk and shot the woman four
times before a police offi cer found him in a nearby alley and shot him in the
face during a struggle over the offi cer’s gun.
Allen lost his left eye and sustained brain damage from the gunshot
wound, according to court testimony, but a jury found him competent to
stand trial.
Allen, who had a long history of drug and alcohol abuse and had been
hospitalized for psychological problems, insisted on entering a “blind” guilty
plea to murder, meaning the plea was entered without his knowing what his
punishment would be.
His plea was intended to spare the emotions of his family and the family of
the woman he killed, records show.
Allen was the fi fth inmate executed in Oklahoma this year and the 36th in
the United States. He was pronounced dead at 6:10 p.m. local time at the
Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester, said state prison spokesman
Jerry Massie.
Allen delivered a rambling and often unintelligible fi nal statement that
touched on the presidential election, including a prediction that “it’s going
to be a very close race,” Massie said.

Tulsa Police arrested a Sand Springs man in the
early-morning hours of Nov. 9 after he allegedly
shoplifted from a QuikTrip store.
Jail records show Justin Levi Brimer, 24, was
arrested on complaints of driving under the influence, assault and battery on a police officer and endangering others while eluding police.
Justin Brimer stole a case of beer and some taquitos from the QT at I-244 and Sheridan at around 2
a.m, according to a report. As Brimer was fleeing
the scene in his truck, a Tulsa police officer pulled
into the store’s parking lot just the clerk went outside. The clerk pointed at the truck and the chase
was on.
Police officers caught up with him on I-244 and,
after a short chase, Brimer pulled his pickup truck over. The beer and food
were found in his truck.
After much ado, Brimer was taken to the Tulsa County Jail and booked.

It’s ALL about the KIDS!
Importance of Child Support
Children are our future and child support helps make sure they have a chance at a
productive life. Children have the right to get support from both parents and do not
lose this right when a parent leaves the home.
When children do not receive child support, they can:
Suffer both Emotionally and Physically
Live within a Reduced Standard of Living
Have their Basic Needs Unmet
Become Non-Supportive when they become Parents.
When one or both parents do not support their children, taxpayers often pay the cost
of raising children. When children receive public assistance and their parents pay no
child support, all taxpayers bear the cost of supporting the children.

A traffic stop ruined the day
for three Elk City residents on
Dec. 3.
At about 1:20 a.m. that day,
Elk City police officer Raymond
Chatham pulled over a green
car driven by Samuel Craig, 34,
after he reportedly made improper turn signals. Craig said,
“I knew you were behind me and
was gonna pull me over anyway,
so I pulled in here to help you
out.”
Craig’s passengers, Jamie
Morrison, 31, and Nicole Drew,
22, said they did not have IDs with them. When Chatham
went back to his patrol car to input Craig’s information, Drew
tried to distract him while Morrison shoved a bag of drugs
in the groin area of his pants, telling him, “Put it away! He’s
watching!”
When Chatham asked to see the partially hidden bag, Morrison tried to wield a knife at him, resulting in everyone’s arrest,
according to the affidavit.
Once all the suspects were out of the car, Chatham found a
clear bag of methamphetamine inside a red straw, prompting
the group to blurt out, “Oh s---! I forgot about that! F---!”
A search of Morrison’s seat turned up a black pouch containing a methamphetamine pipe. The bag Morrison tried to
hide had two pipes, four used bags of meth and two grams of
meth in small bags, Chatham said.
Drew’s purse had a methamphetamine pipe, two small plastic bags and a digital scale, according to the affidavit. She said
she did not know how the paraphernalia got in the purse but
admitted the purse was hers.
Craig tried to throw his pipe away, but it landed near the patrol car. When asked about the bag, Craig said, “I don’t know
what you’re talking about! It must have already been there!”
En route to the police department, Morrison tried to play
the hero and asked if he could take the fall for Drew. He said,
“All of it is mine. Can we somehow take her out of the picture
and just put it all on me? I’m already f---ed.”
All appeared in court Dec. 4 and remain in custody on
$25,000 bond each. They will appear in court at 1:30 p.m.
Dec. 18.

The key to your freedom
A convicted felon was once again thrown into jail Nov. 17
after he decided to take an illegal hunting trip with a couple
of his buddies.
Ronald Ek, 38, was charged Nov. 21 with two counts of
hunting without landowner permission, and then on Nov.
27, charged with possession of a firearm during felony probation.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the Department
of Wildlife Conservation in Blaine County received a call
about several hunters, possibly Native American, illegally
hunting on tribal lands. Lt. Mark Walker advised the man to
call the BIA and to call back when he got more information.
A couple of hours later, the man called the Wildlife Department back and said the hunters were not Native American and a warden was needed.
Walker met the man and BIA Officer Nick Miller at the site. It had been determined
through the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office that one of the men, Ek, was a convicted felon,
and he was seen with a rifle and another gun in his possession.
Ek was transported to the Blaine County Jail and booked in. Bond was set at $5000.

A 23-year-old man was arrested at a Walmart
Nov. 5 after flashing his breast implants at fellow
shoppers before spitting blood at police.
Jeremy Owens, from Pennsylvania, was arrested
for his alleged bizarre behavior at the Lackawanna
County store.
Police found him on a local bus which he then
refused to get off.
After he was arrested and put into a police car,
Owens, who calls himself ‘Jamie’ banged his head
against the window and cut himself, which allowed
him to spit blood at officers.
The 23-year-old was jailed for aggravated
assault, drug possession, and making terrorist threats.
He was not charged for indecent exposure.
Owens was arrested two weeks ago for lying to police about the abduction of a friend
and previously in March following a disturbance at a doughnut shop when he allegedly
spat on two female customers.

What you’re saying
about this on...
PAULA E: Trust He Will Get His In Lockup
Just Put Him In Gen Pop O Boys Take Care Of
Em
ANGIE W: Not only was there a naked toddler
outside in the cold, and another naked toddler
locked in a dog crate there was a naked toddler
in the bed with him!!
CARRIE J: Thank god there was an alert
neighbor to bring this situation to an end. Sick
bastard... Hope those babies are getting help
CAMIE L: he got off easy because if i was the
judge he would of got 10 years after he got the
same treatment he gave the dogs
CONNIE J: Freak
REGINA R: Lock him in the jail cell naked..
hmmm wonder what would happen to him?
JACK H: Anyone else think this guy looks like
Freddy Krueger?
DONNA T: grrrr ought to do the same to
him....crazy ppl
SHAWNA D: wow dam people r sick an crazy
these days.
ANGIE T: Sadly our system will probably fail
these children, many of these parents are slapped
on the wrist told to take a few classes then let go
freely. Then these children fall prey to the same
thing happening over and over. Oklahoma does
not take serious offenses seriously, too many
kids are abused and sent back to the parents who
abused them (foster and real). Then they end up
seriously injured or worse. His bond is set low
for what he did. Sadly unless some big changes
happen they won’t even throw a piece of paper
at him...
Katie L: What a friggin piece of crap...what
the he’ll would possess him? That angers me.
Praying for those poor babies
Jimmy W: These children will die or have
worse done to them in dhs custody. It amazes me
that most people don’t know about this. Google
where Oklahoma is on the most abused children
are in the us. ...If u would like to help abused
children you can always go to genesiskids.com
or your local dhs office.
Michael W: I hate to stereotype a guy based
on his looks but HOLY HELL! He looks like a
maniac and he obviously is.
TERESA B: He should know better than to take
all those drugs with beer!!! Give me a friggin’
break. I think it’s best the kids were taken from
him. What they were learning by watching him
anyway? And to put a child in a dog crate??????
And covered in feces??? Jimmy...DHS or this
man??? I bet they r both in nice warm beds now.
TENA S: my heart breaks for those babies :(
as for him, I’d like to rip his out of his chest still
beating and shove it down his damn throat!!!
It sickens me how much I read of this almost
daily!! I could really rant on this one, but Im
sure most of you are thinking it already :D
WILLIAM L: if thats how yall think about
society then whatever. i just see the same
comments over and over again when things
arent really that bad. alot of people need help
more than death or jail. like yall aint ever done
nothing wrong. there is so much crap in this
world no one knows what to think anymore but
the bad. just like this stupid page. why not have
follow ups on these people to make a difference
and actually see change instead of hate. damn
wife or girlfriend or whatever probably drove
him to it anyway.
GAYLENE C: There is a special place in h*ll for
people who abuse a child . Yes Oklahoma has a
high rate . Also don’t have enough people willing
to do foster care since the state doesn’t even pay
enough to cover the cost the child needs
William Lewallen, a 47-year-old Tulsa
man, was jailed Nov. 11 after police found
three unattended, naked children on his
property. One child was found locked in a
dog cage, covered with feces.
According to police, officers were
dispatched to Lewallen’s residence after
a neighbor heard the screams of a child
who had been stripped naked and locked
outside in the cold while the boy’s father
was passed out inside.
Investigators say officers arrived at the
residence and could immediately hear a
child screaming from inside the residence.
While looking for an open entrance
into the house, officers came upon an
18-month-old girl who was naked, covered
in feces and locked inside a dog cage.
When the officers kicked in the home’s
back door, they encountered a second
naked child inside who seemed to be
unattended. A further sweep of the house
revealed a third naked child who was
asleep on a bed in the master bedroom.
Officers also found Lewallen who was
passed out next to
the child.
During a police
i n t e r v i e w ,
Lewallen stated
that he fell asleep
after ingesting
a combination
of pain meds, a
muscle relaxer
and anti-seizure
medication.
“The screaming child in the dog kennel
did not wake the defendant nor did the
officers kicking the door down to rescue
the toddler in the dog cage,” stated a police
arrest affidavit.
Officers also noted in their report that the
home had no heat (it was about 40 degrees
that day) and there was little food in the
house to eat.
Lewallen was booked into jail and charged
with felony child neglect. His bond has
been set at $50,000.

The OSBI is off ering up to a
$5,000 reward for information
that leads to the arrest and
conviction of the person or
persons responsible for the
murders of two men in Pittsburg
County December 5, 2010.
David Smith (d.o.b. 6/1/1964)
and Mark Anthony Hall, Jr.
(d.o.b. 9/23/1982) were shot
to death inside Smith’s home
approximately four miles north of Hartshorne on Webber Hill.
At the beginning of the case, many possible suspects were identifi ed.
However, through thorough investigating, those persons have been
eliminated as suspects. Agents are currently running strong leads but
still need the public’s help.
“The OSBI is hopeful such a large reward for information will
encourage someone with crucial information to come forward,” Jessica

If anyone has information about this double murder, please contact
the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017.

An attempted break-in resulted in
felony charges against a Sentinel man
Nov. 16.
At 7:40 p.m. Nov. 9, Sentinel police
chief Rusty Cannon was dispatched
to the Sentinel Storage, located at the
300 block of West Main, in reference
to an interrupted burglary. The owner
of the storage unit said he came by to
check on the property after a tenant
told him there were four units with
the locks cut.
He said he opened one of the units
to see Kevin Blackburn, 41, inside the
storage unit. Blackburn ran from the
scene but the owner told Cannon he was about 6 feet tall, had facial
hair and was wearing jeans and a black shirt. Blackburn was later arrested in an alley separating Third and Fourth streets, according to
the affidavit.
Cannon took Blackburn to the owner, who positively identified
him. When Blackburn was inside the patrol car, he told Cannon he
was going to get him, saying “You are dead”, according to the affidavit.
Blackburn appeared in court Nov. 20, where Washita County judge
Chris Kelly ordered him to remain in custody on a $50,000 bond and
refrain from contacting the storage unit’s owner. However, his attorney filed a request for a recognizance bond Dec. 7.
Blackburn previously pleaded no contest to stalking and threatening an act of violence in Kiowa County last year, receiving a one-year
suspended jail sentence. He also has four pending animal cruelty
charges in Washita County, where he is accused of starving four dogs
and allowing them to be housed with their own feces.
Blackburn will next appear in court at 9 a.m. Jan. 15.
