Investigators with the Canadian County Sheriff’s
Office arrested Kyle Henthorn, 18 years old, Thursday, May 25th, after he began a sexual communication with what he believed was a 11 year old
male from Mustang, OK. Henthorn was in communication with the underage male from Mustang and
started off asking the underage male very specific
sexual questions about their sexual history.
Henthorn, who is a student at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, OK, began communicating with what he thought was an 11 year
old male, the victim was actually a 13 year old male
pretending to be 11. Henthorn communicated with the underage child
since April 2017 and as the conversation continued the victim indicated he
was uncomfortable and wanted to leave the conversation, but Henthorn
begged him to keep talking.
Henthorn told the victim he would do anything for him and would not
stop talking to the underage child even after he was told the victim liked
girls only.
Henthorn then described in detail his own anatomy and told the victim
“everything will stay between us.” Henthorn asked the under-aged boy if
they had experimented with any sexual stuff, and have they masturbated
yet.
“Kyle Henthorn could not take no for an answer. He kept pushing this
child to keep talking and wanted show this underage child various sexual
acts,” said Chris West, Canadian County Sheriff
During the investigation, investigators learned Henthorn was living in Durant, Oklahoma and going to school at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Investigators worked with Southeastern Oklahoma State University
Campus Police to locate Henthorn and conduct an interview. Once he
was located, Henthorn cooperated with investigators and admitted to the
sexual conversation he thought he had with an 11 year old male.
Henthorn also gave investigators permission to conduct a search of his
cellular phone. Located on the phone were numerous conversations with
other underage children. Some conversations took place with children
from the United Kingdom. Investigators confirmed from Henthorn he also
sent nude photographs of himself to his victims using Snap Chat.
“We are still figuring out just how many victims this man has. Kyle Henthorn has attempted to victimize numerous children on Social Media, we
are going to figure out how many and how many more charges are going
to send over for prosecution.” said Christ West.
Henthorn was booked into the Canadian County Jail on the charge of
Lewd Acts with a Child and Violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes
Act. Henthorn's bond was set at $100,000. The Sheriff’s Internet Crimes
against Children unit continues to operate under the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations ICAC Task Force, and is assisted with polygraph
examinations by the United States Secret Service.

TIPS FROM A TROOPER
Summer time can be a time of fun, whether
its at the lake, pool, or any of the numerous other activities to be found throughout this great
state, but it is also a time of serious heat. With
temperatures reaching into the 100’s many
times already, and more to come, I thought I
would touch on the way heat can affect your
traveling plans, and some tips to help you beat
the heat!
First, be prepared. Cars suffer in the heat just like we do. If and when
they break down, you’ll want to be ready. Be familiar with your emergency
equipment in your vehicle. This means learn where your jack, spare tire,
and tire tool are. Learn how to use them. Figuring that out on the side
of the road at 102 degrees is no fun at all. The owner’s manual of your
vehicle has a section on roadside emergencies that can help you figure
out where the emergency equipment is stored, and tips on how to use it.
Learn the steps to change a flat! Although we will be happy to help you
if you are broken down, we aren’t always close, and may not be able to
get to you for a long period of time. If you know how to get yourself out of
a roadside emergency, that’s less time you’ll spend in the heat.
Take lots of water with you if you are going on a trip, especially if it’s a
long one. Have a cell phone with you so you can call for help if you need
it. Be aware of your surroundings when driving, so you can give the person you call for help an accurate location for where you are. Also, if you
can get your car to a place of shade, do so.
Temperatures can be up to 20 degrees cooler in a place of shade such
as an overpass or large trees.
Lastly, make sure your car is maintained properly. Ever notice how many
pieces of tires you see on the roadway during the summer? The heat is
hard on tires, so make sure they are properly inflated and have good tread.
If your tread is worn, get them replaced.
The pavement those tires are rolling on is even hotter than the thermometer is showing! Visually check your belts, and make sure all your fluids are
filled up. That ounce of prevention can keep you from being stuck on the
side of the road in 100 plus temperatures.
Preparing for roadside emergencies in the heat is just as important as it
is in the winter, but it seems like we just don’t prepare the same for it. Just
a few minutes of learning how to change a flat, packing in a case of water,
and being aware of your surroundings can keep a bad day from being a

A Kentucky fugitive
was arrested in Beckham
County on May 13 on a
murder warrant.
Hopkinsville Police said
Sergio Del Angelo, 23, of
Hopkinsville, was wanted
for his alleged involvement in the shooting
death of Kristofer Armstrong, 25, on May 11 in
Hopkinsville.
According to officials,
he was arrested in Beckham County and was held in the Beckham County jail
until his extradition back to Kentucky.

A man in Iowa City, Iowa, is accused of posing as a Victoria’s Secret representative
in order to get women to send him underwear photos.
Police said Sean Boies, 29, used a phishing scheme to get IDs and passwords of
University of Iowa students. He then used that information to create a profile on Qualtrics, a web-based survey platform that he used to create surveys he would send to
female students, the Iowa Press-Citizen reports.
In one survey, Boies claimed to represent the Victoria’s Secret lingerie company and
allegedly asked interested women to upload pictures of themselves in their bras and
panties in hopes of being flown to Miami for a photo shoot.
Two women submitted photos, the Associated Press reports.
Police said Boies admitted that he created the survey specifically to receive pictures
of women.
He also admitted sending a second survey promising a $25 Victoria’s Secret gift
card in return for information, according to KCRG.com
Boies allegedly admitted to police he never sent those promised cards.
Boies is charged with two counts of identity theft under $1,000 and unauthorized
computer access, KWWL.com reports. He was booked and released at the Johnson
County Jail.
A Florida police officer arrested on suspicion of purchasing cocaine reportedly told
arresting officers, “The crack is not for me, it’s for my wife.”
Christopher Heredia, 25, of the Sweetwater Police Department, was arrested after
Miami-Dade cops witnessed him allegedly purchasing drugs in a Walgreens parking
lot. When the suspect drove off, officers pulled him over, WSVN TV reports.
During the traffic stop, Heredia told officers he was an off-duty “P.O.” who had been
relieved.
The police report noted that Heredia was stuttering and appeared nervous with
trembling hands, according to NBC Miami.
A subsequent search revealed a baggie of crack cocaine on the driver’s side floorboard as well as three Xanax pills.
That’s when Heredia said the drugs were actually for his wife, the station reports.
Heredia was charged with purchasing cocaine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, Local10.com reports.
Heredia was released on $13,500 bond. The Sweetwater Police Department did not
release why he was relieved of duty at the time of his arrest, telling NBC Miami that as
a former officer, his personal information is protected.
The Department did release a statement saying Heredia has been “relieved of duty
pending the outcome of an internal investigation.”
Police also arrested Tina Schofield, 37, who allegedly sold Heredia the drugs.
Talk about being all up in someone’s grill. A man in Dayton, Ohio, is facing indecency
charges after a witness reported seeing him attempt to have sex with the front grill of
a van parked on the street.
Officers responding to a call found the suspect, 35-year-old Michael Henson, wearing only a pair of black shorts and black shoes, according to NBC4i.com, which cited
a police report.
Henson was taken into custody and put in the back of a squad car while officers
spoke to a female witness.
She said she saw Henson pull down his shorts and then put his genitals into the
front grill of a red van parked on the side of the road, according to WDTN.com.
When the suspect passed out in the front yard near the van, the woman called
police.
Henson woke up and was walking before police came to the scene, according to
the Dayton Daily News.
Officers who questioned him said he appeared to be intoxicated.
Police contacted the owner of the van, who allegedly said he was unaware of any
incident.
Henson was booked on public indecency charges and taken to the Montgomery
County Jail.

Computer interconnectivity has produced enormous benefits, but has
also enabled criminal activity that exploits this interconnectivity for financial
gain and other malicious purposes, such as internet fraud, child exploitation, identity theft, and terrorism. The Internet can give identity thieves,
hackers, and scammers online access to your computer, financial and
personal information and more. Additionally, today’s mobile devices are
well integrated with the internet and have far more functionality than mobile phones of the past. They are increasingly used in the same way as
personal computers, potentially making them susceptible to similar threats
affecting computers connected to the Internet.
For youths, the internet often serves as a positive and powerful arena for
socializing and learning. However, the use of the internet also brings about
risks to their safety, including the dangers of sexual solicitation, online harassment and bullying, and exposure to illegal content. By discussing responsible socializing and communicating, parents -- regardless of whether
they are technologically savvy -- can help their kids make better decisions
about online behavior.
Efforts to address cybercrime include activities associated with protecting networks and information, detecting criminal activity, investigating
crime, and prosecuting criminals, . The Administration has taken significant steps to better protect America against cyber threats and has developed a pragmatic and focused cyber-security legislative proposal for
Congress to consider. The proposed legislation is focused on improving
cyber-security for the American people, our Nation’s critical infrastructure,
and the Federal Government’s own networks and computers.

A 44-year-old Cordell man was arrested
after he allegedly threatened to kill another
man at the Dollar General on May 24.
According to the police report, dispatch
contacted a Cordell officer at approximately 4:30 p.m. and advised him that a
man was making threats at the store.
The officer met the victim at the police
department. The victim said Christopher
Gambrell had approached him in the store
and told him, “I’m going to kill you.”
When the officer knocked on Gambrell’s
door in the 300 block of North College to
talk to him about the incident, the man
walked outside and dropped down to a
kneeling position. He then asked the officer if he was there to kill him.
The officer informed the man that no, he was just there to speak with
him.
When Gambrell looked up and saw the other officers that were present for backup, he walked away from the location.
The officer caught up to the man about a block away.
After about 5 minutes, the officer convinced Gambrell that they
weren’t there to hurt him - they were only there to place him under arrest for the threats he made.
Gambrell was visibly upset, but officers were able to place the man in
handcuffs. They then put him in a patrol car and transported him to jail.
Gambrell is being charged with threaten to perform act of violence.
His bond was set at $200, and he is scheduled to appear in court on
June 5, 2017.
