Three metro area men were taken into custody at the end of April for allegedly preying on
underage girls.
Terry, Erwin, 24, of Midwest City; Kyle Maxwell, 27, a mechanic at Putnam City Schools;
and Timothy Johnson, 25, of Piedmont, were all
booked into the Canadian County jail on sexual
misconduct complaints.
According to reports, Erwin sent a friend request to an undercover profile and solicited a
“14-year-old girl” for sex.
Erwin was booked into jail on a complaint of
lewd or indecent proposal; his bond was set at
$50,000.
Maxwell also sent a friend request to an undercover officer that was pretending to be a
14-year-old girl. Maxwell allegedly presented
himself as an adult woman, and had an “extremely sexually-charged conversation” with
the “14-year-old”, and wanted to have a threesome. When officers showed up at Maxwell’s
house to arrest a woman, they discovered Maxwell was pretending to be his fiancé.
Maxwell was booked into jail on a complaint
of lewd or indecent proposal; his bond was set
at $50,000.
Johnson was visited by authorities at his
workplace after the parents of a 16-year-old girl
called police shortly after he allegedly sexually
assaulted her. The girl said Maxwell touched
her genitals and breasts forcefully in a parking lot on April 24. She
said he also made her fondle his genitals while he drove her home.
Johnson allegedly admitted everything the girl told them was true.
He was taken into custody on a complaint of sexual battery, but posted bond and was released.

When Weatherford man James Alex Dorman, 23, tried to hitch
a ride from a bar in the early morning hours of April 12, things
didn’t go so well for him. He allegedly jumped into a car uninvited
and then punched a man who wasn’t too happy that he was in the
vehicle.
According to the affidavit, Weatherford police were dispatched
to a fight in progress at Fourth Street and Arapaho at approximately 2:30 a.m. When officers arrived, they found a man who
had blood coming from his ears, nose and mouth lying on the
ground beside a car.
The man told police a friend picked him up from a bar earlier,
but Dorman jumped in the car uninvited and asked for a ride. The
victim said he told Dorman to get out of the car; Dorman then
threw something at him and exited the vehicle.
The victim said they drove away, but he later saw Dorman run up to the vehicle and start
hitting it. When the victim jumped out of the car to ask Dorman what the heck was going on,
Dorman allegedly punched the man, causing him to lose consciousness.
A witness said Dorman punched the victim, however, he said the victim deserved it because
he was “talking s---” and Dorman had the right to do what he did.
According to hospital records, the victim suffered two fractures to his lower jaw, a concussion and a laceration to his right ear from Dorman’s punch.
Dorman is being charged with aggravated assault and battery. He was released in a $2,500
bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 5, 2015.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of
Investigation is off ering up to a $5,000
reward for information that leads to the
arrest and conviction of the person(s)
responsible for murdering Richard
Piersall 14 years ago.
Piersall was shot during an armed
robbery of the Kum-N-Go convenience
store in Wagoner, April 9, 2001.
Piersall, 59, worked as a clerk at the
store.
Investigators developed several
suspects during the investigation but
more information is needed from
witnesses in the area. Investigators
believe several citizens in Wagoner have
information vital to the prosecution of
this case.

When a man contacted Joseph Kenneth Chervenka about $40 he owed him,
Chervenka became angry and told the
man he would “box with him” about the
money.
The man said no, but Chervenka wasn’t
giving up the borrowed $40. He then allegedly jumped into a vehicle and tried to
run the man off the road.
On April 26 shortly after 7 p.m., a man
arrived at the Beckham County Sheriff’s
Office to file a report on Chervenka. According to the affidavit, the man told a
deputy that after he declined the Elk City
man’s offer to fight about the money, he and Chervenka met near the
latter’s home. Chervenka then jumped out of his truck and started
taunting the man, challenging him to fight. The man said he tried to
leave, but Chervenka got back in his truck and “came after him.”
The man told the officer the chase lasted about 2.5 miles, but it was
a scary 2.5 miles. Chervenka allegedly tried to run the man off the
road; he also rammed the back of his truck while going an approximate 60-80 miles per hour, according to the victim.
The man said after the impact, his truck shut down and wouldn’t
start. Chervenka then pulled in front of him and started threatening
him. He eventually left the scene and the man hitched a ride to the
sheriff’s office.
The next day, police went to Chervenka’s residence with search
warrant in hand. They located his truck, and they saw “apparent
damage” to the front.
Chervenka walked into the garage and handed a deputy his phone.
He said his boss was on the line. His boss told the deputy that Chervenka told him, “Yeah, I bumped him in the back end -- trying to get
his attention to not come back to my house anymore.”
Chervenka was placed under arrest and transported to jail.
Chervenka is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. His bond was set at $20,000, and he is scheduled to
appear in court on July 28, 2015.

An Oklahoma City woman lied about who she
was to a Blaine County deputy after he offered to
give her a ride to a car on April 25.
34-year-old Rachel Amanda Nelson told the deputy she just didn’t want him knowing who she was.
According to the police report, the deputy first
made contact with Nelson after he was dispatched
to a parking lot at the corner of Highway 8 and
Highway 270 in Watonga shortly after 3:30 p.m.
Apparently, someone saw the woman was walking back and forth in
front of a store, and she appeared to be “disturbed” because she was
waving her arms in the air.
An employee told the deputy Nelson told her that her car had broken down outside of town, and she needed to charge her phone so she
could call someone for help.
The deputy approached Nelson, and he asked her if she wanted a
ride back to her car. She said that would be great. He then asked for
identification, but Nelson said she left her wallet in her car. She told
the deputy her name was Jessica, instead of Rachel.
When the deputy checked the name, he was advised “Jessica” had
two warrants for her arrest.
He told Nelson, but she said it was a mistake and she had already
paid the warrants. She told him to take her to the sheriff’s officer so
they could straighten it out.
When they arrived at the sheriff’s officer, things just kept getting
messier. She eventually admitted to the officer that she had lied about
her name because she had a felony warrant out of Oklahoma County.
She thought she could get out of being arrested by lying about her
name.
She should’ve chosen someone who knew how to stay out of trouble!
Nelson also told the deputy that she had dropped her license in his
patrol car because she didn’t want him to find out who she really was.
Sure enough, the deputy found her ID card pushed down between the
center console and passenger seat.
Nelson is being charged with falsely impersonate another to create
liability. Her bond was set at $5,000, and she is scheduled to appear
in court on May 12, 2015.

Oklahoma Game Wardens Michael Zimmerman (Grady Co.) and John Grellner (Caddo Co.)
were patrolling Ft. Cobb Lake when they observed a suspect in an inflatable kayak with a gill
net. The suspect attached the gill net to one of
several jugs and stretched it out. Later, the suspect was observed removing fish from the net,
bringing them back to shore.
Wardens made contact with the suspect and
seized a 150 ft. long gill net from the lake, along
with the kayak and numerous Channel Catfish,
Striped bass hybrids, White bass and an assortment of non-game fish.
Charges are pending, in District Court, including multiple counts of illegal take of game fish
and illegal take of non-game fish.

Dill City man Blake Renee Brown, 62,
claimed he was anything but intoxicated
when a Washita County deputy found him
slumped over his steering wheel honking
the horn on April 30. He even tried to get the
deputy to smell his breath, which he claimed
smelled like “bowels” because he had stomach problems.
All the deputy smelled was alcohol.
According to the police report, a Washita
County deputy was dispatched to N2160
and E1210 around 5:38 p.m. due to a man
slumped over his steering wheel honking the horn. He found Brown
passed out, and he could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from
the vehicle.
When he woke the man up, Brown told him he was fine and his
home was just down the road. He then said he had had a few beers
earlier and he wasn’t drunk, but he had stopped to fix his tire and he
fell asleep.
The deputy asked if he would go through sobriety tests.
Brown said yes, but he had bad knees, lupus and other ailments
that affected his stomach and the rate that his body metabolized alcohol.
He then breathed into the deputy’s face and said, “My breath
smells like bowels, doesn’t it?”
The deputy said the only thing he smelled was alcohol, but Brown
again breathed into his face.
He asked, “You don’t believe me, do you? I have problems with my
stomach, and my breath smells like this.”
Despite his s--- breath, Brown didn’t do well on sobriety tests, and
a preliminary breath test revealed the man’s BrAC was .156.
He was placed under arrest and transported to jail.
Brown is being charged with actual physical control of vehicle
while under the influence. He was released on a $3,000 bond and is
scheduled to appear in court on July 9, 2015.
