OKLAHOMA CITY MAN ARRESTED ON CHARGE OF
AGGRAVATED POSSESSION OF OBSCENE MATERIALS
Theodore Grinie, 51, was arrested earlier this month
after an investigation by the Oklahoma State Bureau of
Investigation (OSBI) Internet Crimes Against Children
(ICAC) Unit. On August 6, 2021, officers from the Oklahoma City Police Department located Grinie and arrested him on a felony warrant. Grinie was booked into
the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a charge of
Aggravated Possession of Obscene Materials Involve
the Participation of Minors Under the Age of Eighteen
(18).
The case originated in April of 2020 when the National Center for Missing
and Exploited Children (NCMEC) forwarded a cyber tip they received from an
electronic service provider to the OSBI. An investigation was opened by the
OSBI ICAC Unit and based on the investigation a felony arrest warrant was
issued for Grinie. The investigation revealed NCMEC associated a total of 18
cybertips containing hundreds of child pornographic images to Grinies.
If you suspect a child is being sexually exploited, contact the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST or www.cybertipline.com.

AS FAST AS YOU CAN
Two men accused of burglarizing vehicles were
placed under arrest after a vehicle and foot pursuit
on September 12.
According to reports, the Oklahoma City Police
Department advised Yukon officers to be on the
lookout for a white truck at approximately 4:53
a.m. The truck was allegedly occupied by two men
who were breaking into vehicles near Sara Road
and State Highway 66.
Officers located the suspect vehicle in the area
of Ranchwood Boulevard and State Highway 66
and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The driver
didn’t stop, however. Instead, he took off with officers close behind.
Officers performed a TVI maneuver, ending the
vehicle chase.
The suspects, later identified as 28-year-old Jefferie Thomas Buck, 28, and 30-year-old Alexander
Nowell Burchell, took off running. With the assistance of the Oklahoma City Police K-9 Unit and Air
Support, the men were quickly apprehended and
placed under arrest.
During the investigation, officers discovered the
truck the suspects were traveling in was stolen out
of Oklahoma City.
Buck is being charged with eluding/attempting
to elude a police officer, possession of burglary tools by a previous burglar,
and knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property. His bond was set at
$11,000.
Burchell is being charged with eluding/attempting to elude a police officer
and knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property. His bond was set at
$6,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on November 15, 2021.

OCTOBER IS NATIONAL
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH
The following is a list of early warning
signs that someone may be abusive.
This list was put together by survivors of
domestic violence who reflected on the
early phases of the battering relationship
and identified some of the early warning
signs of abusers.
Someone who:
• Wants to move too quickly into the relationship.
• Does not honor your boundaries.
• Is excessively jealous and accuses you of having affairs.
• Wants to know where you are all of the time and frequently calls, emails
and texts you throughout the day.
• Criticizes you or puts you down; most commonly tells you that you are
“crazy,” “stupid” and/or “fat,” or that no one would ever want or love you.
• Says one thing and does another.
• Takes no responsibility for their behavior and blames others.
• Has a history of battering.
• Blames the entire failure of previous relationships on their partner; for example, “My ex was a total bitch.”
• Grew up in an abusive or violent home.
• Insists that you stop spending time with your friends or family.
• Seems “too good to be true.”
• Insists that you stop participating in leisure interests.
• Rages out of control and is impulsive.
Pay attention to the “red flags “and trust your instincts. Survivors of domestic violence frequently report that their instincts told them that there was
something wrong early on but they disregarded the warning signs and didn’t
know that these signs were indicative of an abusive relationship. Always take
time to get to know a potential partner and watch for patterns of behavior in
a variety of settings. Keeping in touch with your support system and participating in good self-care can lower your risk of being involved in an abusive
relationship.

DRUNK AND DISORDERLY
Two men were placed under arrest after they allegedly fired a rifle out of their truck within Weatherford city limits on September 13.
According to reports, officers were dispatched to
the 600 block of West Oklahoma Avenue after gunshots were heard in the area. When officers arrived
at the location, citizens in the area gave them a description of a truck where the gunfire had allegedly
come from.
Officers found the truck in the 700 block of North
7th Street. They stopped the truck and made contact with the occupants.
The driver, 25-year-old Jose Elizondo of San
Benito, Texas, smelled like alcohol. The passenger was identified as 24-year-old Weatherford man
Omar Alejandro Gonzalez.
Officers located a rifle, empty shell casings, and
empty beer bottles in the vehicle. Both men were
placed under arrest.
Gonzalez is being charged with the use of a vehicle in the discharge of a weapon, possession of
a firearm after a former felony conviction, carrying a
firearm while under the influence, and obstructing
an officer. His bond was set at $50,000.
Elizondo is being charged with the use of a vehicle in the discharge of a
weapon, carrying a firearm while under the influence, and driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. His bond was set at $50,000. Both
suspects are scheduled to appear in court on October 22, 2021.

Austin Michael Ault, 24, and 27-year-old Brandon Matthew Worley are being charged with second-degree burglary after they allegedly broke
