After Cody Dalton Littlefield, 21, was kicked out of
his residence for drugs, he fought with police officers
and tried to escape being arrested.
The Inola man didn’t make it though, and he was arrested on May 1.
According to the police report, Rogers County deputies were dispatched to a residence on Tracy Road
around 7:55 p.m. because Littlefield was “tearing the
place up.” Deputies found two men holding down Littlefield in a back room. There was blood all over the
kitchen floor.
A woman told police that she owns the house, and
she let Littlefield stay there until he could get back on his feet. Unfortunately,
she said she stopped to check on him, and she found drugs and alcohol “all over
the house.” She told her son to inform Littlefield that he needed to find another
place to live.
Littlefield didn’t take this news lightly, however, and he tried to fight the messenger. He punched out a bedroom window and got blood all over the house,
while trying to fight everyone.
Police placed the man under arrest. While a deputy was transporting the man
to the patrol car, he spit in the deputy’s face.
Once he was secured in the front seat of the car, he somehow undid his seatbelt,
unlocked the door and took off running. He only make it about 200 yards before
a deputy caught him and put him back in the car.
Littlefield is being charged with prisoner placing body fluid on government
employee, attempting to escape arrest and breach of peace. He is scheduled to
appear in court on June 1, 2015. Bond information was unknown at time of print.

Chances are, while you are
reading this, it may be raining,
has been raining, or is about to
rain somewhere in Oklahoma! We are finally getting those much
needed showers to fill up ponds and lakes. Unfortunately, we
are getting most of it all at once, and we are having some major
flooding! I’m going to talk a little about the dangers that roadway
flooding can present, and some tips for avoiding them.
Every year that we have flooding, we get stories about motorists
who are stranded in water that has risen up over the roadway. The
news has the usual shot of one vehicle with its hazard lights on not
moving, followed by video of other vehicles still driving through
these flooded roads. The solution is very simple, if you don’t want
to be that vehicle that is stranded, don’t drive through standing
water! Most of the locations that typically flood over in heavy rains
are traditional places where this happens year after year. The
problem with this is that usually, the locals think since they’ve been
able to drive through it before, it shouldn’t be any problem now.
A lot of things can happen under water that we can’t see
though. Parts of the roadway could wash out, debris could be
covered up that can’t be seen, and other unseen hazards could
be present. All of these things can spell disaster for the person
who assumes it will be OK to drive through standing water on the
roadway.
Next, don’t drive around “Road Closed” signs. Every year in
these traditional flood areas, the public safety officials close the
roads for safety, and every year people drive around those signs
and end up needing rescued. Not only are those signs put up for
your safety, it is illegal to drive around them. They are Official
Traffic Control Devices, and as Oklahoma State Statute 47:11-201A
states: The driver of any vehicle shall obey the instructions of any
official traffic-control device...unless otherwise directed by a traffic
or police officer.
Last, be aware of your surroundings, so that you can find an
alternate route if needed. In today’s technology driven world, this
is easier than ever to do. Use that smart phone, tablet, or GPS
device to find a way around flooded areas. Also, when the potential
for floods can cause roads to be closed, give yourself extra time to
reach your destination, in case an alternate route is needed.
This spring has been a bounty of rain that Oklahoma has needed
for a few years, but with the good comes some potential bad in the
form of flooding. Now you’ll have some tips for avoiding any of
the pitfalls that inherently come with them! Don’t be that vehicle
they show on the news every year, flooded or swept away. Please
remember, TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN
Thanks for reading, buckle up, and be safe!
Tips from a Trooper

On Tuesday, May 5, 2015, OSBI agents traveled to Texas to arrest a suspect in a 2006 homicide case. Agents located Howard
Shelton Mason, Jr., 55, in El Paso and arrested him for killing
77-year-old Burney Ray Bounds.
On October 15, 2006, Bounds’ body was discovered by a friend
at Bounds’ residence, 10569 214th Street, Blanchard, Oklahoma. The McClain County Sheriff requested OSBI investigative
and crime scene assistance.
The investigation revealed Bounds’ house was ransacked and
the victim was tied up. The medical examiner reported Bounds’
cause of death was traumatic asphyxia and the manner of death
was homicide.
During the course of the investigation, leads became sparse and the case went cold.
In the past 18 months, OSBI has hired more agents allowing an increase in investigative
resources.
In January 2015, a new agent was assigned Bounds’ case and was able to act on information provided by fingerprint evidence worked by the OSBI Latent Evidence Unit
that pointed to Mason. With the assistance of the Texas Rangers, agents arrested Mason
at a halfway house in El Paso. Mason was on parole in Texas for failure to register as a
sex offender. He was booked into the El Paso County jail where he awaits extradition to
Oklahoma.

A Tahlequah woman was taken into custody May 12 after she
cut a Muskogee Petco employee
with a knife while trying to steal
a snake.
Patricia Miller, 50, was
charged May 14 in Muskogee
County District Court with assault with a dangerous weapon,
and assault and battery with a
dangerous weapon, both felonies.
According to reports, Miller entered the Petco on W.
Shawnee Bypass in Muskogee just before closing and asked
to see the snakes. While the employee was drawing up the
paperwork for Miller to purchase the snake, Miller left and
got a knife. Miller then held the knife to the woman’s throat
and demanded the employee to hand over the snake.
Another employee intervened in the altercation and Miller then cut him with the knife while taking her to the floor,
according to the affidavit. Reports state Miller also bit the
employee.
Police arrived shortly thereafter and arrested Miller.
She was transported to the Muskogee County/City jail and
booked. She was later released on a $50,000 bond and ordered back to court June 4, 2015.

Computer interconnectivity has produced enormous benefits, but has also
enabled criminal activity
that exploits this interconnectivity for financial gain
and other malicious purposes, such as internet
fraud, child exploitation,
identity theft, and terrorism. The Internet can give
identity thieves, hackers,
and scammers online access to your computer, financial and personal information and more.
Additionally, today’s mobile devices are well integrated with the internet and have far more functionality than mobile phones of the past.
They are increasingly used in the same way as personal computers, potentially making them susceptible to similar threats affecting computers connected to the Internet.
For youths, the internet often serves as a positive and powerful arena for socializing and learning. However, the use of the internet also
brings about risks to their safety, including the dangers of sexual solicitation, online harassment and bullying, and exposure to illegal content. By discussing responsible socializing and communicating, parents -- regardless of whether they are technologically savvy -- can help
their kids make better decisions about online behavior.
Efforts to address cybercrime include activities associated with protecting networks and information, detecting criminal activity, investigating crime, and prosecuting criminals, . The Administration has
taken significant steps to better protect America against cyber threats
and has developed a pragmatic and focused cyber-security legislative
proposal for Congress to consider. The proposed legislation is focused
on improving cyber-security for the American people, our Nation’s
critical infrastructure, and the Federal Government’s own networks
and computers.

Colcord man Christopher Jacob Fisher, 24, was arrested
May 7 after he allegedly attacked a couple of men because
he thought they called the police on him. He also told another man that he tried to scalp one of the victims.
On April 30 at approximately 9:36 p.m., a Jay police officer was dispatched to the 300 block of W. Delaware due to
an assault, the affidavit states. When he arrived, he found
a man who had blood on his face and a shallow cut across
his throat. He said Fisher assaulted him, but he didn’t want
to press charges.
Another one of Fisher’s victims was already at the hospital. He told police Fisher was angry because he said the
men had called the police.
Both victims were reluctant to tell the officer anything
about the altercation.
On May 7, one of the victims contacted police and said he
wanted to press charges against Fisher for the assault. He said Fisher had stabbed him with
a steak knife and cut him on the wrist, head and throat. He allegedly told the man, “I can kill
you.” He said Fisher also told him to take care, because he knew he had talked to the police
multiple times. The victim said it was the third time Fisher had attacked him, and he was
sick of it.
Around 5:36 p.m., police made contact with Fisher at his residence in the 200 block of S.
Fourth Street. They placed him under arrest and took him to jail.
Fisher asked them why he was being arrested. They told him he knew what it was about.
He refused to speak to officers about the incident.
Later that day, police spoke with another man, who told them Fisher had “bragged” to him
about “f------ up” one of the victims. He said he held one of the men’s hair up and tried to
scalp him.
Eesh.
Fisher is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. His bond was
set at $20,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on May 12, 2015.

A Roland man was arrested after
a police officer found him wandering around a stranger’s front porch
with his shorts around his knees on
May 6.
Andrew Martin, 26, will hopefully remember to wear a belt next
time -- or to go to his own house!
On May 6, a Sequoyah County
deputy was dispatched to East
1090 Road because a naked man
was trespassing on some property.
According to the police report, he
found Martin standing on the front
porch with his shorts “down around
his knees.”
The deputy asked the man what he was doing. Martin replied that
he wasn’t doing anything. The deputy asked Martin to walk toward
him, but he realized that the man was so drunk he was unable to
stand on his own. So, he grabbed Martin and asked him if he knew
where he was. He replied that he was just hanging out at his house.
The deputy told him he wasn’t at his residence.
But to the important question -- regardless of where he thought
he was, why the heck was he walking around outside with his shorts
pulled down?
Martin said he didn’t know.
The deputy placed Martin under arrest and transported him to jail.
When they arrived, he asked the man if he had any illegal narcotics
on his person. Martin said no, but during booking, an officer found
14 blue pills in the man’s pocket.
The intoxicated exhibitionist is being charged with indecent exposure and public intoxication. His bond was set at $10,000, and he is
scheduled to appear in court on May 20, 2015.

Nowata man Richard Travis Aymer,
43, was carted off to jail after police
found him sitting behind the wheel of
a car while intoxicated.
According to the police report, a
state trooper was advised that there
was a possibly intoxicated driver in the
area shortly after 8 p.m. on April 25.
The trooper located the vehicle going
west on Wettack Avenue.
The trooper pulled behind the vehicle and noticed it was traveling on
the wrong side of the road. He then
stopped the car and made contact with the driver, identified as
Aymer, and immediately smelled a strong odor of alcohol.
Aymer admitted to drinking a couple of beers, but when the trooper asked him where he was coming from, he said he couldn’t remember. Aymer’s eyes were red and watery and his speech was slurred.
The trooper asked him to step out of the vehicle for standard field
sobriety tests. Things weren’t looking well for Aymer -- when he
stepped out of his car, he was unsteady on his feet.
Not surprisingly, he didn’t do too well on the sobriety tests. A portable breath tests revealed his BAC was .158, nearly twice the legal
limit.
Another officer talked to Aymer’s passenger, and he found a bottle
of whiskey in the car.
Aymer is being charged with driving a motor vehicle while under
the influence of alcohol and transporting open bottle or container of
liquor. His bond was set at $1,500, and he was scheduled to appear
in court on May 11, 2015.

A Broken Arrow man was arrested
for suspicion of assault after he allegedly threatened to kill some women at
a Quik Trip.
Jared Kyle Lowe, 29, then proceeded to follow the women to their house
and attack one of their husbands.
On May 4, a Broken Arrow police officer was dispatched to the 2700 block
of E. Norman Place shortly after 4 p.m.
due to a fight in progress. Three women at the residence told the officer they
went to Quik Trip earlier that day, and
Lowe walked up to them said he was
going to kill all of them. He then punched one of them in the face.
According to the affidavit, the women left the store, but Lowe knew
just where they were going.
They said Lowe left the store before them, and he was sitting in the
road in front of one of their houses when they arrived. He then exited
his vehicle and started fighting with one of the women’s husbands.
He pulled out a pocketknife, but the husband grabbed a weight lifting
bar and started hitting the man until he left.
When the officer met with the suspect, the man had large lacerations on his shoulder, back and legs. Lowe told the officer that an
unknown man assaulted him while he was driving, and he pulled out
his knife to defend himself. The officer didn’t buy it, and based on the
four witnesses’ statements, he placed the man under arrest and took
him to jail.
Lowe is being charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous
weapon, three counts of assault, assault and battery, and four counts
of threaten to perform act of violence. His bond was set at $50,000,
and he was scheduled to appear in court on May 14, 2015.

According to the police report, the officer
was dispatched to the area of U.S. Highway 60
and County Road 4380 shortly after 7 p.m. because there was a “reckless driver operating at
a high rate of speed and running cars off the road.”
The officer stopped the vehicle, but when he asked the driver if she
was in a hurry to get somewhere, he probably wasn’t expecting her
answer.
“I need to get f----,” she told him.
“Excuse me?” he asked, probably thinking he hadn’t heard right.
Oh, but he had.
Littlefield told him she was headed to her boyfriend’s house and
she was horny. While Littlefield was offering up too much information, the officer noticed that she smelled like alcohol. She denied
drinking and said the vehicle belonged to her stepfather, and he was
an alcoholic.
When the officer went to his patrol car to check her information,
Littlefield exited her vehicle and started digging around under her
seat. She told him she was just cleaning her truck.
He asked her to have a seat in his patrol car, but she started running her thumbnail in the grooves of the dash in his car. She once
again told him she was just cleaning.
The officer tried to conduct sobriety tests, but Littlefield was too
unsteady on her feet to complete the tests.
She eventually admitted she had had two shots of chocolate vodka
prior to the stop.
Littlefield is being charged with driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and speeding in excess of lawful maximum limit. She was released on a $1,089.50 bond and is scheduled
to appear in court on July 16, 2015.
Love will have to wait

The oft-troubled George Zimmerman was involved in a shooting near
Orlando on May 11.
Zimmerman, a lighting rod figure in the debate over gun rights, was
shot at in a dispute with another man, Lake Mary Police Chief Steve
Bracknell told WESH TV.
Initial reports indicated that Zimmerman had been shot, but attorney
Don West told the Associated Press that broken glass and other debris
had sprayed him. Zimmerman was treated and released from a hospital.
Zimmerman infamously shot and killed Trayvon Martin, an unarmed
17-year-old, in a gated community in 2012. A jury acquitted Zimmerman,
but since then he’s been involved in a series of disputes involving
allegations of domestic abuse and speeding.
Images posted to social media show bullet holes in a truck towed from
the scene.

David William Ellis, 26, isn’t so great with breaking into places and stealing stuff.
The Quinton man was arrested May 10 after he
was caught trying to steal some stuff from a Miami
recycling business.
According to the police report, an Ottawa County
deputy was dispatched to the business in the 1200
block of H. Street at approximately 8:35 p.m. because the property owner had caught Ellis redhanded.
The owner told the deputy she and several other
people went to the property to do a nightly check.
They found Ellis trying to steal some scrap metal. It
also appeared as though he had cut the lock off the
gate to get onto the property.
When the deputy made contact with Ellis, the man simply told him that he was
just trying to make some money.
The deputy asked if he had permission to take the stuff -- Ellis said no.
The deputy told him, “So you knew you were stealing.”
Ellis replied, “I didn’t know it was stealing if it didn’t belong to anyone.”
Not a good excuse!
The deputy found a gray truck with a flatbed trailer hooked up to it. Inside of
the truck, he noticed some bolt cutters.
Ellis said the gate was already open when he got there, but the property owner
said the gate had been locked earlier. The lock on the gate also appeared to have
been freshly cut.
Ellis is being charged with attempted grand larceny and trespassing. His bond
was set at $3,000.
Caught in the act!
