PREVIOUS EMPLOYEE OF
WOODALL SCHOOL UNDER
INVESTIGATION
A woman who was employed by Woodall School allegedly made several personal purchases over the course of two
years.
These purchases totaled $45,000.
According to reports, a Cherokee County deputy spoke to
Woodall School’s superintendent on June 7, 2024. She said
someone from Amazon Capital Services advised her on May
24, 2024, that the school was in default of $5,066.
School officials investigated why the account had been in
collection for several months.
They found out that three payments had been lost. They also discovered an unauthorized purchase of $1,968 made on the school’s bank purchasing card.
There were three scanned reissued checks totaling $3,097, but the checks didn’t match the previous checks written for the same PO.
The employee, who was the school’s encumbrance and activity accounts clerk, cleaned out her
office on May 27, 2024. She emailed the superintendent the next day with her resignation.
The superintendent also got statements from Arvest Bank for the school’s account. The statements didn’t match what the employee had submitted - some of the invoices were deleted.
When the superintendent looked at the employee’s fuel cards, she discovered the employee
made unauthorized fuel purchases for her personal vehicle, totaling $15,632.
There was no agreement in place that Woodall School would provide fuel or transportation for
the woman.
The former employee also made several purchases on the school’s activity account, buying a
Playstation PS5, a Playstation wireless headset, a PS5 cooling station, a PS5 Star Wars game, some
Vans shoes, and a T-shirt.
In total, the former employee allegedly made unauthorized transactions that came to a total of
$45,800.
The deputy spoke to the suspect on September 24, 2024. She said she resigned from her position due to unrelated reasons, but that she and the previous superintendent had an agreement that
she would be compensated for running errands with her personal vehicle during business hours.
The suspect’s name and formal charges were unavailable at the time of publication.

AROUND THE NATION
MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A Miami Beach Corvette owner faced an unusual situation when he discovered an
intruder trapped inside his car and asked him for help
to get out.
“My brother, this is not your car, this is my car,” Julio
Solano, the owner of the car told 33-year-old Ravesh
Rabindranauth.
“Can I get out?” Rabindranauth was heard asking
Solano while being recorded on the victim’s cellphone.
“No, you can’t get out. We’re calling the cops,” Solano replied.
Solano told a local news station that he was stunned when he returned to his car after
breakfast and found Rabindranauth sitting inside, pleading for help.
The incident unfolded at a parking garage on Washington Avenue and 16th Street in
Miami Beach.
Miami Beach police arrived on the scene and arrested Rabindranauth, who now faces
burglary charges.
Julio Solano believes that while Rabindranauth managed to break into the vehicle, he
was unable to start it or escape due to the car’s security system.
“The car’s electrical components don’t function without the keys, and fortunately, he
didn’t know about the manual door release under the seat,” said Solano.
Investigators said Solano had notified the owner of Premiere Auto Miami 1, an exotic
car rental company that stores its vehicles in the garage.
Authorities said Rabindranauth was read his Miranda rights and agreed to speak with
the officers. A routine records check revealed no local criminal history or outstanding
warrants.
Jail records show he is facing one count of burglary of an unoccupied conveyance.
He was taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where his bond was
set at $2,500.

EZ COME, EZ GO
A Tulsa man is one of several possible suspects
caught in connection to an early-morning burglary
at a Wagoner convince store in September.
Jose Alfredo Pacheco-Gomes, 20, was charged
September 30 with burglary second degree in
Wagoner County District Court.
According to a Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office
press release, on September 12 at approximately
3:49 a.m., Wagoner County Deputies and Investigators responded to the EZ
Mart in Broken Arrow, in Wagoner County, to investigate a burglary. During the
investigation, it was founded that the suspects stole lottery tickets, lighters, and
miscellaneous snacks.
After further investigation, on September 20, Wagoner County Investigators
and District #27 Drugs and Violent Crimes Task Force located one of the suspects in the north Tulsa Area.
During an interview with investigators, Pacheco-Gomes allegedly confessed
that he burglarized the EZ Mart, along with two other individuals he identified as
“Quesadilla” and “Gabriel”, according to to the probable cause affidavit.
Pacheco-Gomes was taken into custody and transported to the Wagoner
County Detention Center and booked into jail. Bond was set at $5000 and is
scheduled to next appear in court on November 5.
The press release states that investigations into the burglary are still ongoing
and more arrests may soon follow.

STARTING THE SCHOOL
YEAR OFF WRONG
Muldrow Public Schools superintendent Leon
Ashlock was taken into custody on the morning
of October 8 after he crashed the vehicle he was
driving into a concrete barrier on the Creek Turnpike in Tulsa.
After a thorough investigation, Ashlock, 47, was
escorted to the Tulsa County Detention Center on
suspicion of DUI.
According to reports, Ashlock was allegedly driving a vehicle owned by the
school system in Tulsa. An off-duty firefighter followed the vehicle and relayed
information to the Tulsa Police Department of the driver’s erratic driving. Ashlock
then crashed into the barrier.
Officers arrived at the scene of the crash and allegedly discovered two bottles
of 100-proof cinnamon schnapps within reach of the driver. One bottled reportedly had several of ounces left, while the other was completely empty.
Ashlock was very unsteady on his feet, his eyes were red, watery, and bloodshot and he had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. His actions were lethargic and he seemed confused. He could not explain
to officers why he was in Tulsa, where he was coming from, or where he had
been, reports state.
The Probable Cause Statement said Ashlock failed all his field sobriety tests
and showed signs of impairment.
As of press time, no charges have been filed in Tulsa County District Court.

AROUND THE STATE
Gotta give kudos to a Jennings man who was
so determined to get to his court date on time in
Pawnee that he “borrowed” a LifeNet truck to get
there. But, alas, it was all for nothing.
Kody Ray Adams, 28, was charged September
25 with larceny of a motor vehicle, in Payne County District Court.
According to OHP, Adams was at a gas station
in Stillwater on September 24 asking people for a ride to Pawnee County for his
court date. When he couldn’t find a ride, he decided to hop in an unoccupied
LifeNet ambulance supervisor vehicle that had been left running.
OHP Ryan Trooper Long caught Adams at the courthouse walking in after
Adams had ditched the vehicle. Trooper Long arrested him after he admitted to
“borrowing” the vehicle, took him up to his court date, and then took him right
back to Payne County.
And guess what the court date was for??? Possession of a stolen vehicle.
Adams’ next court date was set for October 1, which he missed because
he was still in Payne County jail, and bond for the Pawnee County charge was
revoked.

We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money
or favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting officer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.
Thank you and God Bless

18 | NOVEMBER 2024 MUSKOGEE COUNTY Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty
A SERIES OF
UNFORTUNATE EVENTS
A 59-year-old Tulsa man was put behind bars
in Muskogee County after he crashed a stolen car
into an innocence bystander’s vehicle.
Kevin Glenn Petty was charged September 24
with felony causing great bodily injury while eluding/attempt to elude, felony possession of stolen
vehicle, misdemeanor resisting an officer, and
misdemeanor driving with license cancelled/suspended/revoked, in Muskogee County District Court.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Petty was driving a stolen 2015
Chevy Impala in Muskogee. An officer tried to stop the vehicle, but Petty wasn’t
having any of that and led officers in a pursuit. Shortly after the pursuit began,
Petty whipped into a local business and bashed into another vehicle there. Unfortunately, there was a woman inside the other vehicle and a child.
Petty took off on foot, but was apprehended a short time later.
Bond for Petty was set at $4000 and he is scheduled to next appear in court
on December 11 for his preliminary hearing.

THAT'S METHED UP!
TSA detects methamphetamine concealed in traveler’s groin at Philadelphia International Airport
When a Transportation Security Administration
checkpoint scanner at Philadelphia International Airport
alarmed in the groin area of a Columbia County, Pa.,
man yesterday (September 30), a shotgun shell that appeared to be tampered with was
removed from beneath the man’s clothing.
A closer inspection of the altered shotgun shell determined that the white powder that
had been concealed inside of the shell was not an explosive. Philadelphia Police determined that the shell contained methamphetamine and arrested the man, a resident of
Orangeville, Pa., on a state charge.
Shotgun shells as well as any caliber of ammunition are prohibited from being carried
through a security checkpoint.
“Our focus is in ensuring that nobody attempts to bring explosives onto a flight,” said
Gerardo Spero, TSA’s Federal Security Director for the airport. “We use technology and
the skills of our officers and explosives experts to help ensure that explosives do not get
past our checkpoints.
“In this instance, our explosives experts conducted a test to determine what the mysterious white powdered substance
was and fortunately it was determined not to be an explosive. It
is disappointing to see individuals
attempt to hide items on their person or among their carry-on items
in an attempt to conceal them.
We are not looking for drugs,
but when we come across them,
we alert law enforcement and let
them handle the situation.”
Spero commended his officers
and explosives specialist for their
expert handling of the situation.
“It was a good catch and a job
well done by all involved, including our law enforcement partners,” he said.
Shotgun shells as well as any
caliber of ammunition is prohibited from being carried through a
security checkpoint.
