A Lawton taxi driver
needed more than just
a pain reliever Nov. 21
after he was shot in
the neck by two of his
passengers.
Reports say the
driver picked up two
juvenile Hispanic
males near the intersection of 67th and
Maple Streets and
drove them to an area near 69th and Southwest 70th Streets. The
driver told police he was reaching for the fare when one of the juveniles shot him in the neck. When the pair ran from the scene, the
driver chased them and a second shot was fired.
The cabbie was able to drive himself to the hospital where he was
treated for non life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made yet, and police don’t believe robbery
was the motive.

A Lawton man faces a felony drug charge after
police discovered meth in his possession during a
traffic stop.
Nathan Griggs, 26, was charged with possession
of a CDS- methamphetamines, Nov. 13 in Caddo
County District Court.
Caddo County deputies and Apache police officers were dispatched Nov. 9 to the area of Highway 62 and CR 1480 just south of Apache about a
suspicious vehicle at an abandoned house. Apache
officers were the first to arrive and during a search
of the car’s occupants, they found a small black
bag in the passenger’s possession. Inside the bag
was field-tested to be meth, a straw and a syringe.
After further investigation, it was determined
the two men were not at the house to steal anything and the driver was released. The passenger, Griggs, however, was taken
into custody for possession of meth and for an outstanding warrant in Grady
County. He was then transported to the Caddo County Jail and booked in.

Oklahoma City: Dennis Newton was on trial for the
armed robbery of a convenience store in a district court
when he fi red his lawyer. Assistant district attorney
Larry Jones said Newton, 47, was doing a fair job of defending himself until the store manager testifi ed that
Newton was the robber. Newton jumped up, accused
the woman of lying and then said, “I should of blown
your (expletive) head off .” The defendant paused, then
quickly added, “if I’d been the one that was there.” The
jury took 20 minutes to convict Newton and recommended a 30 year sentence.
A motorist was unknowingly caught in an automated speed trap that measured his speed using radar and
photographed his car. He later received in the mail a
ticket for $40 and a photo of his car. Instead of payment, he sent the police department a photograph of
$40. Several days later, he received a letter from the
police that contained another picture... of handcuff s.
The motorist promptly sent the money for the fi ne.
A woman was reporting her car as stolen, and mentioned that there was a car phone in it. The policeman
taking the report called the phone and told the guy
that answered that he had read the ad in the newspaper and wanted to buy the car. They arranged to meet,
and the thief was arrested.
Drug Possession Defendant Christopher Jansen,
on trial in March in Pontiac, Michigan, said he had
been searched without a warrant. The prosecutor said
the offi cer didn’t need a warrant because a “bulge” in
Christopher’s jacket could have been a gun. Nonsense,
said Christopher, who happened to be wearing the
same jacket that day in court. He handed it over so the
judge could see it. The judge discovered a packet of
cocaine in the pocket and laughed so hard he required
a fi ve minute recess to compose himself.
Detroit: R.C. Gaitlan, 21, walked up to two patrol
offi cers who were showing their squad car computer
equipment to children in a Detroit neighborhood.
When he asked how the system worked, the offi cer
asked him for identifi cation. Gaitlan gave them his
drivers license, they entered it into the computer, and
moments later they arrested Gaitlan because information on the screen showed Gaitlan was wanted for a
two-year-old armed robbery in St. Louis, Missouri.

Tulsa Police arrested a Sand Springs man in the
early-morning hours of Nov. 9 after he allegedly
shoplifted from a QuikTrip store.
Jail records show Justin Levi Brimer, 24, was
arrested on complaints of driving under the influence, assault and battery on a police officer and endangering others while eluding police.
Justin Brimer stole a case of beer and some taquitos from the QT at I-244 and Sheridan at around 2
a.m, according to a report. As Brimer was fleeing
the scene in his truck, a Tulsa police officer pulled
into the store’s parking lot just the clerk went outside. The clerk pointed at the truck and the chase
was on.
Police officers caught up with him on I-244 and,
after a short chase, Brimer pulled his pickup truck over. The beer and food
were found in his truck.
After much ado, Brimer was taken to the Tulsa County Jail and booked.

OK Jailbirds is cooperating with the efforts of Oklahoma
Department of Human Services to impact the huge social
problem of irresponsible parents who are not paying the
child supports ordered by our courts.
If these biological-only parents won’t honor the courts
order, perhaps public shame will get their attention.
If you know how to reach any of the Deadbeat Parents found on this page, please call the Oklahoma Department of Human Services
Child Support HotLine at 1-800-522-8014
It’s ALL about the KIDS!
Importance of Child Support
Children are our future and child support helps make sure they have a chance at a
productive life. Children have the right to get support from both parents and do not
lose this right when a parent leaves the home.
When children do not receive child support, they can:
Suffer both Emotionally and Physically
Live within a Reduced Standard of Living
Have their Basic Needs Unmet
Become Non-Supportive when they become Parents.
When one or both parents do not support their children, taxpayers often pay the cost
of raising children. When children receive public assistance and their parents pay no
child support, all taxpayers bear the cost of supporting the children.

FACT:
Most child sexual abusers find their
victims by frequenting such places as
schoolyards and playgrounds.
False. Most child sexual abusers offend
against children whom they know and with
whom they have established a relationship.
Many sexual assaults of adult women are
considered “confidence rapes,” in that the
offender knows the victim and has used that
familiarity to gain access to her.

WITNESS
BREAKING & ENTERING ftp poss cds/ para poss marijuana
An combative Anadarko man
had to be tased several times in the
drunk tank Nov. 21 after his arrest
on a drug complaint.
Jeremy Casey, 20, was charged
later that day with possession of a
CDS (marijuana) within 1000 feet
of a school, placing bodily fluids on
a police officer, and public intoxication.
Officer Jared Martinez reported he and several other officers
responded to a call about a disturbance in the 400 block of W.
Florida. The resident reported her
brother was trying to kick in her door; she wouldn’t let him in
because he was intoxicated.
En route, Martinez heard via the radio that the brother, Casey,
had left the residence and another officer found him in the 400
block of W. Mississippi. Casey had a strong odor of booze about
him, so officers cuffed him on a public intox charge, but during a
search of his clothing, officers found three bags of marijuana in
his possession.
At the jail, Casey would not walk without assistance and was
placed on the floor of the drunk tank. As Martinez was releasing
Casey, he became combative and spit on Martinez’ leg. After a
brief struggle, Martinez was finally able to release Casey from his
restraints and shut the drunk tank door.
As soon as the door was shut, Casey started hitting the jail door
and yelling profanities. Martinez told him twice to calm down or
get put in the restraint chair, but to no avail. The door was opened
and the chair was put inside the drunk tank. Casey informed the
officers he was not going to get in the chair. Several more times
Martinez warned him to get into the chair or be tased, and several
more times Casey refused, cussing at the officers the whole time.
Finally, Casey announced that the officers were going to have to
tase him because he was not getting in that (beeping) chair, so
they obliged him. He was then helped into the chair.
While officers were trying to secure his legs, Casey became combative again and reared back his leg to kick, but before he could,
he was zapped again with another tase.
That last tase was all it took and he was secured into the chair
without further incident.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol
Today, I’m going to discuss who
has the biggest impact on our
new drivers that hit the road each
and every day. First, the Oklahoma Driver’s Education classes and
schools across the state are second to none, and do a fantastic job
of educating our young drivers on the law, and proper way to safely
operate a motor vehicle. I would like to point to some other folks, who
I believe have a far greater impact on how our youngsters approach
driving, and address them, and that is the adults who these young
drivers look up to: the parents, older siblings, and extended family.
If you fit in this category, please pay attention. I believe that our
kids learn their driving behavior not from the Oklahoma Highway
Patrol, other law enforcement, or driver’s education instructor, but
from you, the parents and family. I know I learned that way! Let me
give you some examples.
You are a dad, and for whatever reason, when you are driving in
town, or on a county road, you just don’t buckle up. Maybe its because
you don’t drive fast in these areas, or have a farm tag and just don’t
have to; however, you do buckle up when you get on highways or go
on long drives. The message you are sending is that when you are in
the vehicle there are certain times that it is ok not to wear your seat
belt. If dad doesn’t have to do it, I don’t either! In fact, at least 50%
of all accidents happen on county roads, and you are more likely to be
in an accident within 10 miles of your residence than otherwise. So
the real message you are sending is, don’t buckle up during the times
that you are most likely to need it!
Next, mom gets off work at 5:00, and one of the kids has a ball
game in another town at 5:30. She can get there if she speeds. After
all, it is important to get to those activities, and it won’t hurt to push
the speed just a little. The message you send to your kids is, its ok to
speed, as long as you can justify it! The facts are that unsafe speeds
kill more young people 16 to 25 than any other single thing! The
message here needs to be that its ok to slow down and show up a few
minutes late.....it is much better than the alternative, which is never
showing up at all because you’ve been involved in an accident.
Please remember, when you are driving, you are setting the example
for someone....and they are watching you all the time. What message
are you sending? I hope it’s the one that says, I’ll lead by example
because I love you, and want to do my part to keep you safe! Thanks
for reading, buckle up, and be safe!

Caddo County authorities are on the
lookout for an Oklahoma City man wanted in connection with a carport fire on
Oct. 25 in Anadarko.
Damion Peteet, 30, is wanted on firstdegree arson charges. Court records show
him currently residing in Oklahoma City,
but the fire marshall’s report has him
living at a Tulsa address. He has been
charged with numerous other crimes
in the past in several counties including
Caddo, Stephens, Grady, Comanche, and
Oklahoma.
According to the fire marshall’s report, several neighbors told investigators they saw Peteet at the residence located in the 100 block
of Prairie Village in Anadarko. Evidence at the scene backed up what
witnesses told investigators. Each witness also picked Peteet out of
a photo lineup viewing.
A warrant for Peteet’s arrest was issued Nov. 9. If you know where
Peteet is located, please call the Caddo County Sheriff’s Department
at 405-247-6666 or your local police.

What you’re saying
about this on...
PAULA E: Trust He Will Get His In Lockup
Just Put Him In Gen Pop O Boys Take Care Of Em
ANGIE W: Not only was there a naked toddler
outside in the cold, and another naked toddler
locked in a dog crate there was a naked toddler in
the bed with him!!
CARRIE J: Thank god there was an alert
neighbor to bring this situation to an end. Sick
bastard... Hope those babies are getting help
CAMIE L: he got off easy because if i was the
judge he would of got 10 years after he got the
same treatment he gave the dogs
CONNIE J: Freak
REGINA R: Lock him in the jail cell naked..
hmmm wonder what would happen to him?
JACK H: Anyone else think this guy looks like
Freddy Krueger?
DONNA T: grrrr ought to do the same to him....
crazy ppl
SHAWNA D: wow dam people r sick an crazy
these days.
ANGIE T: Sadly our system will probably fail
these children, many of these parents are slapped
on the wrist told to take a few classes then let go
freely. Then these children fall prey to the same
thing happening over and over. Oklahoma does
not take serious offenses seriously, too many
kids are abused and sent back to the parents who
abused them (foster and real). Then they end up
seriously injured or worse. His bond is set low
for what he did. Sadly unless some big changes
happen they won’t even throw a piece of paper at
him...
Katie L: What a friggin piece of crap...what the
he’ll would possess him? That angers me. Praying
for those poor babies
Jimmy W: These children will die or have
worse done to them in dhs custody. It amazes me
that most people don’t know about this. Google
where Oklahoma is on the most abused children
are in the us. ...If u would like to help abused
children you can always go to genesiskids.com or
your local dhs office.
Michael W: I hate to stereotype a guy based on
his looks but HOLY HELL! He looks like a maniac
and he obviously is.
TERESA B: He should know better than to
take all those drugs with beer!!! Give me a friggin’
break. I think it’s best the kids were taken from
him. What they were learning by watching him
anyway? And to put a child in a dog crate??????
And covered in feces??? Jimmy...DHS or this
man??? I bet they r both in nice warm beds now.
TENA S: my heart breaks for those babies :(
as for him, I’d like to rip his out of his chest still
beating and shove it down his damn throat!!! It
sickens me how much I read of this almost daily!!
I could really rant on this one, but Im sure most of
you are thinking it already :D
WILLIAM L: if thats how yall think about
society then whatever. i just see the same
comments over and over again when things arent
really that bad. alot of people need help more
than death or jail. like yall aint ever done nothing
wrong. there is so much crap in this world no one
knows what to think anymore but the bad. just
like this stupid page. why not have follow ups on
these people to make a difference and actually see
change instead of hate. damn wife or girlfriend or
whatever probably drove him to it anyway.
GAYLENE C: There is a special place in h*ll
for people who abuse a child . Yes Oklahoma has
a high rate . Also don’t have enough people willing
to do foster care since the state doesn’t even pay
enough to cover the cost the child needs
William Lewallen, a 47-year-old Tulsa
man, was jailed Nov. 11 after police found
three unattended, naked children on his
property. One child was found locked in a
dog cage, covered with feces.
According to police, officers were
dispatched to Lewallen’s residence after
a neighbor heard the screams of a child
who had been stripped naked and locked
outside in the cold while the boy’s father
was passed out inside.
Investigators say officers arrived at the
residence and could immediately hear a
child screaming from inside the residence.
While looking for an open entrance
into the house, officers came upon an
18-month-old girl who was naked, covered
in feces and locked inside a dog cage.
When the officers kicked in the home’s
back door, they encountered a second
naked child inside who seemed to be
unattended. A further sweep of the house
revealed a third naked child who was
asleep on a bed in the master bedroom.
Officers also found Lewallen who was
passed out next to
the child.
During a police
i n t e r v i e w ,
Lewallen stated
that he fell asleep
after ingesting
a combination
of pain meds, a
muscle relaxer
and anti-seizure
medication.
“The screaming child in the dog kennel
did not wake the defendant nor did the
officers kicking the door down to rescue
the toddler in the dog cage,” stated a police
arrest affidavit.
Officers also noted in their report that the
home had no heat (it was about 40 degrees
that day) and there was little food in the
house to eat.
Lewallen was booked into jail and charged
with felony child neglect. His bond has
been set at $50,000.

What The Bible Says About Drugs
Respect the drug laws of the land – Finding specific
reference to drugs in the Word of God is difficult. However,
the effects from illegal drugs and abuse of prescription
medication is obviously against the law of man. It is illegal,
therefore, as Christians and citizens, we are to respect the
laws of the land. God has put people in government positions
to make choices for the better of mankind (remains to be
determined if man has done a good job or not).
Altering our minds – We also know that in several places
throughout the Bible we are warned of the foolishness of
altering our minds by way
of alcohol. In 1 Peter 2:11,
we are to abstain from
the passions of the flesh,
which wage war against our
soul. Therefore, anything
that causes us to destroy
ourselves, obviously should
be avoided. This could
be interpreted as drugs,
alcohol, sexual immorality,
gluttony, etc.
A Walters man was taken into custody on drug and weapons charges
after a Cotton County deputy found
him sleeping in his truck at an intersection.
Dillon Newby, 27, was charged
Nov. 13 with possession of CDS
(meth), possession of drug paraphernalia, and transporting a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle.
According to the police affidavit,
Cotton County Deputy David Johnston was traveling east on Highway 5
just west of Walters around 10 p.m.
on Nov. 12 when he noticed a pickup
stopped at the intersection on Shooter Hill Road. Another car came up behind it, stopped for a short period of time, went around the truck, and pulled onto the highway.
Johnston turned onto Shooter Hill Road and his headlights illuminated the cab area. Inside, behind the wheel, he saw a man, later
identified as Newby, with his head leaned back as if he were asleep.
The deputy pulled in behind the pickup to check on Newby and
Deputy Matthew Perry arrived to assist. Johnston knocked on the
window, but the driver didn’t move. He knocked again and Newby
opened his eyes and looked at the deputies. When Newby rolled
down the window, Johnston asked him if he was okay, and Newby
mumbled that he must have fallen asleep.
Newby moved his arm and Johnston noticed a rifle laying in the
seat next to him, and then saw another rifle in the back seat. Johnston told Newby to put his hands on the steering wheel and not to
move. Perry went around on the passenger side and recovered both
the rifles, one of them fully loaded.
Johnston asked Newby to step out of the pickup. He gave Newby a
pat-down and found a baggie with meth inside. He was then cuffed
and transported to the Cotton County Jail and booked in.
