A 25-year-old Duncan man was locked up on
March 25 after an officer caught him cruising through
town in a vehicle he wasn’t supposed to be driving.
Joshua Clayborn Horner also allegedly had a pipe
with some meth in his possession.
According to the police report, a Duncan officer
was traveling southbound on Highway 81 at approximately 11:55 p.m. when he recognized a silver
vehicle sitting at the traffic light facing eastbound at
Highway 81 and Main. The vehicle matched the description of a car in an unauthorized use of a motor
vehicle report that had been given earlier that day.
The officer followed the vehicle and checked the license plate number
-- sure enough, it was the suspect car. He turned on his lights and followed
the vehicle southbound on 14th Street.
The vehicle eventually came to a stop at a driveway in the 100 block of
S. 14th Street.
The officer stepped out of his patrol car and asked the driver for his license and insurance. The driver handed over his license, which identified
him as Horner, and asked the officer, “What did I do for you to stop me?”
The officer advised him that the owner of the vehicle he was driving had
reported that Horner was not allowed to be behind the wheel of the car.
Horner responded, “We got all that worked out, and it’s OK now.”
But, it wasn’t.
In addition to the owner not wanting Horner to drive his vehicle, a records
check revealed Horner was driving with a suspended driver’s license.
Officers asked the man to step out of the car, and they placed him in
handcuffs. Another officer located a pipe with a white residue that later
tested positive for meth wrapped in a bandana that was tucked between
the driver’s seat and door where the suspect had been sitting.
Horner is being charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance, unauthorized use of a vehicle and driving with license suspended.
His bond was set at $10,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on
June 7, 2017.

We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money
or favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting officer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.
Thank you and God Bless

Jailbirds.rocks is cooperating with the efforts of Oklahoma Department of Human Services to impact the
huge social problem of irresponsible parents who are not paying the child supports ordered by our courts.
If these biological-only parents won’t honor the courts order, perhaps public shame will get their attention.
If you know how to reach any of the Deadbeat Parents found on this page, please call the Oklahoma Department of Human Services
Child Support HotLine at 1-800-522-8014
Importance of Child Support
Children are our future and child support helps make sure they
have a chance at a productive life. Children have the right to get
support from both parents and do not lose this right when a
parent leaves the home.
When children do not receive child support, they can:
Suffer both Emotionally and Physically
Live within a Reduced Standard of Living
Have their Basic Needs Unmet
Become Non-Supportive when they become Parents.
When one or both parents do not support their children,
taxpayers often pay the cost of raising children. When children
receive public assistance and their parents pay no child support,
all taxpayers bear the cost of supporting the children.

Sexual abuse affects both boys
and girls of all ages, in all kinds
of neighborhoods and communities. Children are more likely to be
sexually abused by someone they
know and trust than by a stranger.
Abusers do not always use physical
force. Many use games, gifts, lies,
or threats to engage children and to
keep them from telling anyone what
has happened.
Signs of Possible Sexual Abuse
The following may indicate sexual
abuse and should not be ignored:
• Unexplained pain, itching, redness, or bleeding in the genital area
• Increased nightmares or bedwetting
• Withdrawn behavior or appearing to be in a trance
• Angry outbursts or sudden mood swings
• Loss of appetite or difficulty swallowing
• Anxiety or depression
• Sudden, unexplained avoidance of certain people or places
• Sexual knowledge, language, or behavior that is unusual for the
child’s age
For more information, contact Prevent Child Abuse America, the National Child Traumatic Stress Network, the Enough Abuse Campaign, and
Stop It Now. At https://www.childwelfare.gov/topics/preventing/promoting/parenting, or call 800.394.3366.

Parker Heights, Texas, man Franklin D. Camacho,
37, and his younger adversary, 18-year-old Dakota
Howlingcrane of Anadarko, were locked up after an
early morning fight on March 12.
According to the police report, an Anadarko City
police officer was dispatched to the 100 block of East
Washington at approximately 1:56 a.m. to break up
a fight. He pulled up to the location and saw Camacho and Howlingcrane fighting on the north side of
the road.
When the officer stepped out of his patrol vehicle,
Howlingcrane backed up from Camacho, but Camacho lunged for Howlingcrane. The officer quickly intercepted Camacho and tackled him to the ground.
While he was trying to place the man in handcuffs,
Howlingcrane ran up to the officer and punched him
in the right side of his head. The officer placed both
men under arrest and transported them to jail.
While searching the men, he located a green glass
pipe and a small bag containing a crystal like substance on Camacho.
Howlingcrane didn’t have any drugs on him, but he
did appear to be under the influence of alcohol. He
had red watery eyes, slurred speech, and he smelled like booze.
Howlingcrane is being charged with battery/assault and battery on police
officer. He was released on a $5,000 bond.
Camacho is being charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at
$5,000. Both men are scheduled to appear in court on April 20, 2017.

TIPS FROM OHP
Today we are covering the
requirements of drivers when
approaching stop signs. We
are seeing far to many collisions and fatalities due to
people not stopping as required. State Statute tells us
we shall STOP as required
and after having STOPPED,
yield the right-of-way to any
vehicle which has entered the
intersection before we proceed.
Title 47-11-403B:
“Except when directed to proceed by a police officer or traffic control signal,
every driver of a vehicle approaching a stop intersection indicated by a stop
sign shall stop as required by subsection (d) of Section 11-703 of this title
and after having stopped shall yield the right-of-way to any vehicle which has
entered the intersection from another highway or which is approaching so
closely on said highway as to constitute an immediate hazard, but said driver
having so yielded may proceed and the drivers of all other vehicles approaching the intersection shall yield the right-of-way to the vehicle so proceeding.”

Nobody likes a neighbor who doesn’t pick up after their dog.
Case in point: two Maui residents were so upset at finding dog poop in their yard
that they allegedly menaced a neighbor with golf clubs.
The Maui News reports that Aaron Steen, 38, and Candace Deponte, 32, blamed
their neighbor for planting the dog feces in their yard and approached her while hurling
obscenities and wielding golf clubs.
The alleged victim was reportedly appraising damage to her car’s windshield when
Deponte entered the car and then followed the dog owner into her house, further
threatening to harm her. This earned Deponte a charge of first-degree terroristic
threatening, as well as first-degree burglary and first-degree unauthorized entry to a
vehicle — felonies both.
In addition to terroristic threatening, Steen was also charged with third-degree criminal property damage.
The two suspects are now prohibited from contacting the dog owner or going near
her house.
Police in Mt. Morris, New York, apprehended three burglary suspects by following a
trail of macaroni salad they left behind while making their getaway.
In a release, the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office reports thieves broke in and stole
a cash register from Build-A-Burger Restaurant, along with the establishment’s entire
surveillance system and a large bowl of macaroni salad.
Deputies were hot on the criminals’ trail, literally, as they attempted to escape via
the nearby Greenway Trail.
“Found along the trail were cash register parts, surveillance system parts, rubber
gloves, loose change and a steady trail of macaroni salad,” the sheriff’s office said. “It
was later discovered that the suspects stole a large bowl of macaroni salad, which
they took turns eating, along their escape route.”
Officers arrested Matthew P. Sapetko, 34, James P. Marullo, 35, and Timothy S.
Walker Jr., 23, by early afternoon. The three have been charged with third-degree
burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree grand larceny. Walker faces
additional charges for criminal possession of a controlled substance, say police.
Per the Democrat & Chronicle, the three have been booked into the Livingston
County Jail. Most of the stolen property has been recovered.
Here’s a volatile combination: nudity, guns, drugs and pizza.
At least for Phillip Engle, the 27-year-old man who found himself in a not-so-happy
situation at Happy’s Pizza in Muskegon Charter Township, Michigan.
Engle, who lives next door, allegedly showed up at the pizzeria wearing just a towel
with his three young children in tow. According to the police incident report, Engle
was carrying a gun, and he used it to bang on the glass door until it shattered. The
gun then allegedly discharged, and police found a bullet casing lodged in the door’s
metal frame.
Officers who responded to the scene say they found Engle on his porch with a
handgun. He threw the gun in the yard when ordered to drop it. Later he told them
that he had three loaded guns in his home, which they confiscated for safekeeping.
An employee at Happy’s Pizza told an officer from the Muskegon Township Police
Department that when Engle was at the shop, he yelled, “No one will help me,” and
“No one will feed my kids!” He also allegedly said, “I’m trippin’ out!”
Engle reportedly told police that he had earlier consumed four hits of LSD.
One of Engle’s young children told officers that her father had also shot the dashboard of their car because it wouldn’t stop beeping. They found a spent casing on the
dashboard and what appeared to be a bullet hole.
According to Fox 17, Engle’s wife said she took out a personal protection order
from him.
Engle was arraigned on four misdemeanor charges: malicious destruction of property worth $200 to $1,000, careless discharge of a firearm, reckless use of a firearm
and possession of a firearm while under the influence.
You know when you’re in an art gallery and you decide to steal one of the paintings
off the wall and then you can’t find a way to jam it into your sweatshirt because it’s a
painting and large rectangular paintings don’t belong inside sweatshirts? Hate it when
that happens!
Well, this art thief ran into a similar problem. Luckily, the piece was recovered by
gallery staff before the suspect could escape with it. However, the would-be thief is
still on the lam.
Police in the U.K. have released surveillance video in the hopes that viewers will be
able to help locate him.
Probably won’t be difficult, given his general difficulty with the concept of hiding.

TOLLIVER
TOLLIVER
Walters couple Jerry Dee Tolliver, 53, and his
51-year-old wife, Pamela Marie Tolliver, were locked
up on March 1 after apparently having a little too
much fun at the woman’s mom’s house.
According to the affidavit, a state trooper
stopped the couple on 9th Street just south of SH
5, because their vehicle’s tail lamp was broken. As
he was speaking to the couple, he immediately
noticed the odor of alcohol. He advised the driver, Jerry Tolliver, why he stopped him, and asked
where they were coming from. The man said they
had been at his mother-in-law’s.
The trooper asked the man how much he had
had to drink. Tolliver replied a few -- he said he was
not going to lie to the trooper, and he was going to
be honest with the police.
The trooper then asked if the passenger had
been drinking. Tolliver said yeah, she had drank a
little more than he did.
The man told the trooper his wife was supposed
to be the designated driver, but she had consumed
a little too much alcohol.
The trooper administered sobriety tests to the
man, but Tolliver didn’t do too well. While he admitted that he might be a little over the legal limit, the man told the trooper he
was sorry, he was just trying to protect his wife.
A preliminary breath test revealed he was definitely over the legal limit
-- two times over, in fact.
The man and his wife were placed under arrest and transported to jail.
Jerry Tolliver is being charged with aggravated driving a motor vehicle
while under the influence of alcohol. His bond was set at $1,500. His wife
is being charged with public intoxication. Her bond was set at $500. They
are both scheduled to appear in court on August 9, 2017.

GOLDSBERRY
46-year-old Debbie K. Goldsberry allegedly punched her
neighbor’s window so hard that it cracked.
The Sentinel woman was pissed because the neighbor called
the police on her man during an altercation on March 14.
According to the affidavit, a Hobart officer was dispatched to
a duplex in the 400 block of South Hill at approximately 11:39
p.m. due to people yelling at each other. When he arrived, he
saw a man standing outside holding a baseball bat. He told the
man to put the bat down and asked him what was going on.
The man said some guy he had never met was accusing him and his daughter of stealing some stuff. The man was yelling and cussing and told him he had
just gotten out of prison.
The officer asked the man where the suspect went. He pointed toward the
north side of the duplex. As the officer approached the door, he heard a man
and woman arguing inside the residence.
The man told the woman she could “go over there and get [her] own f------
dope.”
The officer knocked on the door and a man invited him inside. The man was
breathing heavily and appeared to be excited.
When the officer asked him what was wrong, the man explained that he and
his girlfriend, identified as Goldsberry, were helping the woman’s father move
some stuff out of his home. They had only been there a few minutes when the
man noticed that his wallet and car keys were missing. The man said he immediately blamed his neighbor.
The officer checked the man’s information and placed him under arrest for a
warrant. When they arrived at the jail, the officer was advised that dispatch had
received another call from the residence. This time, Goldsberry was harassing
the neighbors.
Officers found her standing on the front porch.
The victim said he and his kids saw Goldsberry looking inside their home. She
then started cussing and yelling at them for calling the police on her man. She
also punched the window and cracked it.
The angry woman told the officer she didn’t know anything about the window.
Goldsberry is being charged with malicious injury to property under $1,000
and disturbing the peace. Her bond was set at $200, and she is scheduled to
appear in court on May 30, 2017.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Dear editor:
My story begins in Greenwood, Arkansas, where I met my future wife,
who was from Oklahoma. I have lived in Arkansas all of my life and she
had lived in Oklahoma her entire life, and just by chance we met. She was
a single mother of two little girls and I was the father of three older children
who lived with their mothers.
We dated for some six months and I popped the big question and she
said yes. We made our home back in Arkansas, in my hometown. The girls
were enrolled in school and our new life began.
A month into our marriage my wife was served papers for custody by
her ex-husband who still resided in Leflore County, Oklahoma. We had to
obtain a lawyer, so we sought out who we thought would be the best and
hired them at the cost of $5,000, which to me was ridiculously over inflated
since there was no evidence of any wrong doing by the mother, but we
had no choice in the matter.
My wife had up until our marriage supported herself and her children
without child support and was doing a fine a job of it. The ex-husband
was 40 years old, still lived with his parents, had no job, paid no support
to his children, but from the very beginning we were the ones who had to
prove ourselves. Before we got too far into the case, we were told that
we had to hire a special attorney for the girls at the price of $750. We did
and took the girls on four separate occasions to the attorney and they told
the story of how they did not want to go back to their father’s house or
to live with him. Now our attorney said she was working on our case and
we had nothing to worry about. We had a pretrial hearing and the girls got
to stay with us but they starting refusing to go back to their dad’s, saying
they were scared. These girls were 10 and five at the time, but by the court
order we were told that they had to go.
So, even though the girls screamed and cried, they went to their dad’s.
I was afraid of the girls possibly being molested, so I spoke with our high
priced attorney and was told, “Well, you only have suspicion and until he
commits a crime there is nothing I or the judges will do.”
We told the attorney that we wanted this looked in to, but it never was,
and then we go to court. Instead of a hearing on the matter, the three attorneys and OSCE reached an agreement that there would be joint custody and his child support obligation, which he never paid, would be lowered
and we would continue to provide health insurance, as we had done all
along. He was given half the holidays and every other weekend.
For a solid year we were forced to let them go. Finally, the the oldest
child now was 12 at this time was so terrified about going, so my wife and
I told him we would not send her back and she told him she would not
go. It took us dropping his arrears in child support and he said she didn’t
have to come.
After a year of not seeing him and him not paying support I was able
to adopt the oldest girl. The adoption cost us $600 from an Arkansas attorney. After the adoption, my daughter now, felt safe and revealed to us
that she had in fact been molested starting back when he was taking us
to court. After the initial act, he told her that if she told, he would kill their
mother.
As of right now we are trying through the courts in Oklahoma to take all
his custodial rights away from him and we are trying to have him charged
with child molestation. Currently he is being investigated now but it is so
sad to me that three years ago, I looked our attorney in the eye and told
her what I believed was going on and no one was contacted, not even
DHS, to do a welfare check. I am just proud that we have both of the girls
here in Arkansas and they are being protected from that predator that they
thought was a father and from the attorneys Office of Child Support Enforcement or the Department of Human Services that are simply just seeking the dollar and not so much the safety and welfare of Oklahoma’s youth.
