The third suspect in a triple homicide was found
in Lawton on November 30.
Reports state Alvin Artis was the third suspect
arrested in a shooting that occurred in South Carolina over the summer. The shooting claimed the
lives of three teenagers.
The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force received
a tip that Artis was in Lawton. The Special Operations Division of the Lawton Police Department
worked with the marshals to locate Artis.
Around 10:40 a.m., they arrested the man when
he walked out of a residence to get into an Uber.
Deputies executed a search warrant at the residence. They found evidence that connected the
man to the homicides.
The other two suspects were arrested in June.

IN THE MARKET
A 38-year-old Duncan woman allegedly admitted that she helped her boyfriend burglarize storage units to sell things on Facebook
Marketplace.
According to the affidavit, a Stephens
County investigator interviewed a man on
November 21 about a series of burglaries
that had occurred at the Meridian Storage
units. The man said he took another man and
the man’s girlfriend in his truck to the storage
units.
The girlfriend was identified as Angeline Michelle Elliot.
The man said the couple took items out
of a storage unit. He didn’t watch what they
took, and he didn’t ask them if the storage
unit belonged to them.
After they took stuff out of the unit, the man said he drove them back to
their residence.
Video surveillance showed that the alleged burglary took place on October
15. The man’s truck was at the storage units at 3:19 a.m. and 4:56 p.m. All
three individuals exited the truck and loaded things into the vehicle.
The investigator spoke to Elliot after she was arrested on November 21.
She admitted going to the storage units with the other men. She added that
her boyfriend got rides to the storage unit and told people that the unit belonged to his family. Elliot said she knew the unit wasn’t her boyfriend’s. She
also said that there was a lot of stolen items at her house.
Her boyfriend had already sold many of the stolen items on Facebook Marketplace. She said that while the burglaries were her boyfriend’s idea and she
had accompanied him to break into other storage units and homes.
Elliot is being charged with burglary in the second degree. Her bond was
set at $5,000. Court date was unknown at the time of publication.

Graham Price of South Wales ripped off the bank where he worked, but he wasn’t
completely duplicitous. He left a note in the safe: “Borrowed, seven million pounds”—
signed “Graham Price.”
A Good Samaritan noticed an elderly man being robbed, so he jumped in and
punched the thief. The thief was so upset, he called the police to complain.
When Stephan Crane broke into the Ravelli Republic (Montana) newsroom, he used
the computers to watch porn and check Facebook. Then Crane doused the offi ce with
a fi re extinguisher, took some candy, and left. It wasn’t diffi cult to fi nd him, however; the
police just followed the trail of stolen M&Ms that led to his sister’s place across the way.
When police in Vancouver, Canada, asked to search Jason Pauchay’s apartment
for drugs, he was not a suspect—in fact, they were looking for someone else. That all
changed when they got a look at how his name was listed on his cell phone: “Jason
Pauchay Drug Dealer.”
Two men decided a back-to-school event at an offi ce supply store would be the perfect time to do some shoplifting. After all, store clerks would be busy helping an infl ux of
shoppers. The sale happened to coincide with the annual “Shop with a Cop” day when
about 60 police offi cers show up to help children pick out school supplies.
Adan Juarez Ramirez had it all fi gured out—he could be a cop without having to take
the boring test. But he was arrested in Grapevine, Texas, after pulling over a driver in his
pickup truck, outfi tted with fl ashing lights. He even had an ID badge, which he’d made
by blacking out a restaurant gift card and etching in the word “POLICE.” However,
he’d kept the restaurant’s logo, a jalapeño pepper surrounded by the words “Chipotle
Mexican Grill.”
A Target store in Augusta, Georgia, agreed to take back a printer from a dissatisfi ed
customer. Then the clerk noticed some work the customer forgot to remove from the
machine: Counterfeit bills.
Two machete-wielding men barged into a Sydney, Australia, bar demanding money.
They didn’t know the club was hosting a bikers’ meeting at the time. One of the robbers
ended up in the hospital, the other hog-tied with electrical wire.
In Mesa, Arizona, a home break-in was foiled when the burglar jumped through the
bedroom window—and got trapped in a clothes hamper. Cops took it from there. (That
defi nitely wasn’t the kind of clean getaway he had planned.)

AROUND THE STATE
Gotta catch ‘em all!
For the past several months, the Tulsa
Police Department has been investigating a
fraudulent Pokémon Card Scam.
Detectives were contacted by five victims
across the United States. Victims in Hawaii,
Arizona, Texas, Colorado and Ohio all reported buying rare and high value Pokémon
cards from the suspect in Tulsa, identified as
Michael McCoy.
Each victim purchased the cards for thousands of dollars only to find out the cards
they received were fake.
During the investigation, Detectives partnered with a special prosecutor with the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office
who specializes in intellectual property and trademark infringement. Through
collaborations with Nintendo Corporation, a representative determined that
the Pokémon cards were in fact counterfeit. The cards that were sold by the
suspect had little to no value on their own, however were being sold as “rare
collectors cards” for $350 per card.
On November 1, Officers arrested Michael McCoy at a local Post Office as
he was in the process of mailing more counterfeit cards to another potential
victim.
McCoy is now charged with:
- Obtaining Merchandise by False Pretense over $1000 x 5
- Violation of Trademark Anti-Counterfeiting Act
McCoy also had warrants for his arrest out of Arkansas.
This is an arrest, not a conviction.

We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money
or favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting officer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.
Thank you and God Bless
