After 14 years on the lamb, alleged
double-murderer David Lee Kemp is
back in the custody of the Comanche
County Sheriff’s Department.
The 43-year-old Lawton man is accused of murdering his ex-wife,Christina
Cremer, and her boyfriend, Robert Miller. Their bodies were found in their Lawton apartment in August of 1998. Both
died from multiple gunshots wounds.
In March 1999, he and eight other
inmates escaped from the Comanche
County Jail by overpowering a guard
with a large grilling fork. Seven were recaptured, most within the same day, but Kemp had eluded capture
since.
Kemp has been featured on “America’s Most Wanted” and “Unsolved Mysteries” TV shows.
According to reports, Kemp turned himself in at a rest stop along
I-44 on April 26. He told the arresting deputy he was “done running”
due to his health.
Court records show Kemp’s status conference has been scheduled
for May 9 at 3 p.m. Bond remained denied.

When a Wal-Mart employee told a customer that they didn’t accept printed online coupons, he wasn’t prepared for the feisty 61 year
old woman’s response. The assistant manager got involved, and was
called names by the upset costumer. More employees followed her
out to her car. “I have something for y’all”, she declared as she waved
around a 38. special she had gotten out. The police were called at
this point, and she eventually had to be tasered. The worst part? The
coupon only saved $1.
A woman in Virginia called the police after returning home and
finding her Crock Pot empty of the chicken she had put in earlier.
Instead of assuming she had neglected to start cooking it in the first
place, the woman very intelligently decided that someone had broken
in and stolen it. Yes, snatched a half-raw chicken from a boiling Crock
Pot. There was no sign of forced entry, but the woman did not own
any pets that could’ve been the culprits. Anyway, nobody had dinner
that night.

An Anadarko man is being held without bond, accused of beating his
father to death.
Carnell Ray, 30, was charged April 8 with murder in the first degree with
deliberate intent in Caddo County District Court.
According to the probable cause affidavit, police were dispatched to a local carwash on April 1 at 3rd and W. Central in reference to a fight in progress. When they arrived, they found James (Jimmy) Taylor lying on the
ground unresponsive. A silver pair of brass knuckles was on his right hand.
Taylor was taken to the Physicians Hospital Emergency Room and then
air-lifted to Oklahoma City, where he later died.
Witnesses at the scene said a young black man in a camouflage jacket beat Taylor up. After Taylor was on the ground, the young man kept kicking and hitting him. He then took off running on
E. Central.
Another witness said he was sitting on his couch when he heard a commotion at the car wash.
He went outside and told his kids, who were playing in the yard, to get inside the house. The man
then told the witness to call an ambulance and “tell them a man got beat up by birds or something.”
Ray was picked up a couple of blocks away and transported to the Caddo County Jail.
Ray’s mother said he was mad because he wanted money from them, but they would only give
him $10.
Ray was denied bond and ordered back to court for his preliminary hearing on May 23 at 9 a.m.

there, brought a shotgun, he intended to kill
it the whole time. I like how this story makes
him out to be the victim.
A 76-year-old Auburn, Massachusetts man, Richard Ahlstrand,
had spotted a black bear in his backyard around his bird feeders.
He went to fill up his bird feeders, and as a precaution, he took
his shotgun. Sure enough, the black bear showed up and started
to chase the old man. The man aimed his shotgun at the bear
and shot it, killing the bear.
Now he’s facing charges for illegally killing the bear, illegally
baiting the bear, illegal possession of a firearm and failure to
secure a weapon. Because he “murdered” the bear, police confiscated his shotgun as well as
two others he had in his possession. Ahlstrand pointed out the idiocy of his elected officials:
“They got me set up now like I’m some kind of murderer. And then the environmental guy
told me, ‘You should have called me instead of shooting it.’ What was I going to do, say ‘Mister
Bear, would you excuse me please while I go make a phone call?’”
Authorities thought that the bear may have had cubs, but as Ahlstrand hadn’t shot the bear,
he may not be here today. He was sure it would have at least mauled him. Ahlstrand recalled
that the bear was about 7 feet tall when it stood on its hind legs, and he estimated it weighed
around 300 or 400 pounds.
Officials say the man “baited” the bear with birdseed... Because we all know that bird seed is
only used to bait bears.

A Walters man and woman were arrested for
child neglect after they left an autistic 7-year-old
girl in the care of a young man “not capable of caring for her properly.”
William Seybold, 21, was charged April 23 with
child neglect, and Mary Seybold, 48, was charged
with enabling child neglect.
Cotton County Deputy Scott Munn met with DHS
workers to assist with a welfare check on a little girl
living with the Seybolds. She had autism, suffered
from seizures, and was on medication, according to
the probable cause affidavit.
When they arrived at the Seybold’s home, the
TV could be heard but no one would answer the
door. Finally Munn cracked the door open and announced himself. A young man came to the door
after a dog tried to bite Munn on the foot.
The young man said he was on the phone with
his mother, Mary Seybold, and that she was giving
him directions on what he was suppose to say to the
deputy. His mother did not want to speak to Munn,
but after insisting, she finally agreed to speak with
him.
On the phone, Mary told Munn he needed to get a warrant to go inside
the house and was very hostile and irritated.
While Munn was waiting on the warrant, he could smell the pungent
odor of human and animals feces and noticed roaches crawling through an
open window. Trash was on the floor about two inches deep. The girl was
unbathed, her hair matted, and her medical condition was out of control.
The deputy then found out the Seybolds had not been home for over two
months and another adult had been bringing the girl, the young man, and
the pets some food.
The little girl was immediately taken into DHS custody.
Bond for Mary Seybold was set at $25,000. She pled not guilty to her
charge and a preliminary hearing was set for June 6. William’s bond was
set at $5000.

An armed bank robbery in
Melbourne, Fla., was cut short
when the robber seemed to become a bit mesmerized by the
blonde teller, allowing her an
opportunity to grab his gun.
According to Melbourne police, the man walked into the
Florida Business Bank on Harbor Blvd at around 2:50 p.m.,
pulled a gun from his pants
and demanded cash from the
teller.
The teller complied with the
robber’s demands and placed an undisclosed sum of cash on the counter.
When the robber set his gun on the counter to collect the cash, the teller quickly snatched
it up without hesitation. The robber grabbed what cash he could, stuck it in a bag and fled
from the bank on a bicycle.

the human race. Caucasians,
Africans, Asians, Indians, Arabs,
and Jews are not different
races. Rather, they are different
ethnicities of the human race.
All human beings have the same
physical characteristics (with
minor variations, of course).
More importantly, all human
beings are created in the image
and likeness of God (Genesis
1:26-27). God loved the world so
much that He sent Jesus to lay
down His life for us (John 3:16).
The “world” obviously includes all ethnic groups.
God does not show partiality or favoritism (Deuteronomy 10:17; Acts 10:34;
Romans 2:11; Ephesians 6:9), and neither should we. James 2:4 describes
those who discriminate as “judges with evil thoughts.” Instead, we are to love
our neighbors as ourselves (James 2:8). All forms of racism, prejudice, and
discrimination are affronts to the work of Christ on the cross.
Jesus commands us to love one another as He loves us (John 13:34). If God is
impartial and loves us with impartiality, then we need to love others with that
same high standard. Jesus teaches in Matthew 25 that whatever we do to the
least of His brothers, we do to Him. If we treat a person with contempt, we are
mistreating a person created in God’s image; we are hurting somebody whom
God loves and for whom Jesus died.
Racism, in varying forms and to various degrees, has been a plague on humanity
for thousands of years. Brothers and sisters of all ethnicities, this should not be.
Victims of racism, prejudice, and discrimination need to forgive. Ephesians 4:32
declares, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just
as in Christ God forgave you.” Racists may not deserve your forgiveness, but we
deserved God’s forgiveness far less.
