Things allegedly got out of hand
during a bar fight at a Enid waterin’ hole on January 3. A pub
patron told police she got conked
by a beer bottle – a result of innocently standing near the bar
where the fight occurred.
According to the affidavit, an
Enid officer was dispatched to
the bar in the 3600 block of N.
Van Buren shortly after 1 a.m. to
investigate the assault. The victim said she was standing near
the west bar in the establishment
when a fight broke out next to her.
During the altercation, she said
she was hit in the face with a beer. The victim wasn’t in any way affiliated with the fight or with those involved in the scuffle.
A witness to the incident told the officer that he was talking to the
victim when the booze hit her face. He said Enid man Daryl Eric
Brown was involved in the fight, and the 35-year-old was responsible for hitting the woman with the beer bottle. The man said Brown
then left the building.
Brown of course denied everything. He told the officer he never
got into a fight – it was only a verbal argument. He also said he never
hit anyone with a beer bottle.
Brown explained that he left the bar because security asked him
to, and they escorted him outside.
Well, the officer then escorted the man to jail.
Brown is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous
weapon. His bond was set at $5,000, and he is scheduled to appear
in court on January 7, 2016.

Tifani P: I think 263 years is a little crazy.. Yes he
did very wrong. But you rape 36 women and got that many years. A military man
from where I’m from abused a baby until he later died and he got 15 years for child
abuse. Like what??? Are you serious. He is a very sick man and deserves time. But
that’s almost 3 life sentences... Priorities need to be set. A child can’t protect themselves, and neither can a woman.
Leslie B: Unfortunately, he will be segregated from the general prison population because he was a cop. If they had to worry about “prison justice” & being
afraid to close their eyes to sleep, perhaps a law enforcement officer might think
long & hard about abusing his or her authority…
Jim S: Law enforcement are suppose to keep a higher standard of living. If a
person is charged with a crime against a law enforcement official that crime penalty use generally more severe. The same standards should be equal for the trust
in the person enforcing the law is lost. So their penalty should also be be greater.
Lacie W: I think it’s odd that he was only charged on 18 out of 36 charges,
I also think it’s wierd that he forced that many women to do oral on him.... I’m
pretty sure if I was forced to do that id be biting as hard as possible. I’m not saying
he didn’t do the things he is being accused of but I do have a feeling a lot of women
jumped on the bandwagon on this.

a little jailhouse justice.
Michael S: This cop is a shining example of why the public does NOT trust
the police. As a whole...The police would tell you that the actions of a few should
not cast a shadow on all the rest.. This IS a SYSTEMIC problem and will NEVER
go away as long as the police are allowed to police themselves. Personally I feel
that 263 yrs is over the top for a punishment for the corrupt activiety that this cop
ingaged in. It’s almost like a cartoon sentence. As a tax payer It just dosen’t seem
fair to pay for his incarceration for the rest of my life. I would feel better about all
this if he were only sentenced to say 5 yrs in prison... REAL hard time in general
population like a REAL criminal. The catch to the short sentence would be that he

Police Department police officer. He was convicted on
December 10, 2015 of multiple counts of rape, sexual

looked at every bit of the evidence. Good verdict.

26-year-old Shirley Diane Roseberry and Raven Dale Roseberry, 33, were arrested on December 16 after police officers
were informed that they were selling drugs out of their Red
Rock home.
According to the affidavit, an Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics
officer went to the residence in the 11000 block of Windmill
Road at approximately 3 p.m. He saw Shirley and Raven in
the front yard.
When the officer told the homeowner, Raven’s father, why
he was there, the man acknowledged that he knew the couple was selling meth out of his home. He agreed to let police
search the house.
The officer told Raven what his father said and explained he
also had information from headquarters that he was selling
meth.
Raven didn’t try to argue.
When the officer asked where he kept the meth, the man
took officers to his room. They found a box containing empty
baggies, a spoon, a cut straw and Q-tips. A jacket on the bed
contained some digital scales and three baggies containing a
crystalline substance.
Shirley told the officer she had some marijuana in her purse,
which was inside of her truck. The officer retrieved the bag
and located a joint.
The woman asked to go inside and use the restroom. When
she was escorted inside, she showed an officer some more
meth that she said she was hiding from Raven. She handed
over a plastic baggy containing a crystalline substance. The
drugs found in the home tested positive for meth.
The couple was arrested and transported to jail.
Both Roseberrys are being charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine with
intent to distribute and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Their bonds were set at
$15,000, and they are scheduled to appear in court on January 7, 2016.

Victor Gonzales, 26, scared a woman when he broke into her home and
started cooking himself dinner on December 12.
The Kingfisher man had to be physically removed from the home.
According to the police report, a
Kingfisher officer was dispatched to
the 500 block of N. Sixth Street to investigate the incident at approximately
4:55 p.m. The woman said when she
came home earlier that day, Gonzales was in the kitchen making himself
some grub. She said the man had been
in her home before, but never without permission or while she was
gone. She said they were just friends.
The victim said the door to the house was unlocked so her son
could get inside, but Gonzales wasn’t supposed to be there.
Luckily, the woman’s male friend stopped by to drop off some
clothes, and the duo was able to push Gonzalez out of her home.
The friend told police the same story as the woman -- when he
stopped by, he found the victim and Gonzales inside of the residence. The victim was telling the man to leave, so he helped her get
the food thief out.
Nothing was missing or broken inside the home. Gonzales just
must have been hungry.
The victim told the officer Gonzales just walking into her house
without permission “kind of freaks” her out.
Gonzales is being charged with breaking and entering dwelling
without permission. His bond was set at $1,500, and he is scheduled
to appear in court on January 25, 2016.

A woman blamed Cleo Springs man Kevin Blake
Howington, 24, for breaking into her camper and
stealing “almost everything” she owned.
She was right.
The woman contacted a Major County deputy on
December 14 about the burglary. According to the
police report, she said she suspected that her neighbor, Howington, took the stuff.
On December 15, Howington was arrested for warrants out of
Blaine County. In addition to the warrants and the Major County
Sheriff’s Officer wanting to speak to the man, Fairview police were
investigating him for possibly stealing a vehicle from a business.
Witnesses saw Howington driving the stolen vehicle in Watonga.
When the car was found abandoned in Watonga, the business’ decals
had been spray painted over. There was also some women’s property
in the vehicle -- the victim later identified it as hers.
Howington denied knowing anything about the burglary or stealing the car. He blamed the stolen ride on his friend and said he knew
some of the victim’s stuff was in his camper. But, he said he didn’t
take it -- people were setting him up because he “had words” with a
man.
Police went to Howington’s residence where they found most of
the victim’s stolen property. The victim’s flat screen TV had been
damaged.
When officers told the man that they found the woman’s stuff at
his home, he continued to deny that he was the culprit. He said he
had an alibi for the weekend the burglary occurred. Unfortunately
for him, his alibi didn’t hold up so well. People he said he was with
told police Howington wasn’t telling the truth.
Howington is being charged with larceny of an automobile, malicious injury to property over $1,000 and burglary in the second
degree. His bond was set at $30,000, and he is scheduled to appear
in court on February 9, 2016.
