A DISTORTED VICTIM MENTALITY
A sex offender and Enid mother were arrested Friday, June 18, after detectives responded
to a tip from Department of Human Services.
A press release by Enid PD stated that on
June 18, Detective Sgt. Aaron Barber was
contacted by DHS regarding a juvenile female
involved in a dating relationship with an adult
male sex offender.
Barber, Officer Walter Tuttle and Detective
Brian Schwarzkopf began an investigation,
which led them to 2709 E. Eucalyptus in Enid.
When officers arrived, they encountered Christian Jade Wyman, 23, and he was arrested for
probably cause on a complaint of failure to register as a sex offender.
Illegal narcotics were found on Wyman at the
time of his arrest and drug paraphernalia and
firearm ammunition was present within view inside the residence. A search warrant was obtained for Wyman’s residence and during the
search, further drug paraphernalia was found,
along with a modified firearm.
During an interview, Wyman admitted to
having sex with the juvenile female when she
was 13 years-old. He also had nude images
of her on his phone. During the course of the
interview, Wyman intimated he was a victim
because he did not know how the girl would react if he attempted to end
their relationship.
During the course of this investigation, Barber obtained information regarding the juvenile female’s mother having knowledge of the inappropriate relationship. The mother was interviewed and subsequently placed
under arrest.
Wyman was arrested on complaints of first-degree rape, possession of
child pornography, violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act, failure to register as a sex offender, sex offender living within 2,000 feet of a
school, possession of a firearm after former felony conviction and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. His bond was set at $100,000.
The mother, Aimee Boatman, 47, was arrested on a complaint of enabling child sexual abuse. Her bond was set at $75,000.

WALK THE WALK
A 32-year-old man from Wichita, Kansas, is facing multiple charges in Woods County after he allegedly resisted
officers and broke an officer’s hand during an altercation
on June 21.
According to reports, Woods County deputies were dispatched to U.S. 281 near Craig Road to investigate a man
walking with no shirt or shoes at approximately 4:30 p.m.
When they made contact with the man, identified as Caleb
Grant Phye, he told them that he had run out of gas and
he was taking a glass bottle he had in his pocket to a gas
station to get some fuel for his car.
Phye was acting erratically while the deputies tried to figure out what was going on – he would answer their questions, then become angry and aggressive. He lunged at officers and moved away
rapidly, leading them to believe that he was under the influence of something.
The deputies told Phye they would take him to a gas station, but the man refused
to empty his pockets and he kept on walking.
Phye walked down the road, yelling at the deputies and reaching into his waistband
as though he had a weapon. At one point, he took the glass bottle out of his pocket
and started swinging it around.
A deputy fired his taser at Phye. The man fell to the ground and was placed in
handcuffs.
Deputies took the man to the hospital where he was medically cleared for arrest,
however, Phye refused to leave the exam room. Alva officers arrived to assist.
Phye was cuffed in the front – when officers tried to move the handcuffs to the back,
he resisted and used his head and torso to cover the handcuffs. One of the deputies
got his hand caught on the bridge of Phye’s nose – as the man twisted and shook his
head and caused the deputy’s hand to break.
Phye was transported to jail where he continued to act erratically.
Officers later found the man’s vehicle near where he was walking.
A toxicology report revealed Phye was under the influence and meth and marijuana
at the time of the altercation.
Phye is being charged with assault and battery upon a police officer, resisting an
officer, and public intoxication. His bond was set at $3,750, and he is scheduled to
appear in court on July 13, 2021.

We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money
or favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting officer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.
Thank you and God Bless

Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty KINGFISHER COUNTY 13 | JULY 2021
Agents from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), assisted by the Grady County Sheriffs Office and the Chickasha Police Department, arrested 21-year-old Chance Arlan Mason in May on
multiple child pornography charges.
The case originated in January 2021 when the
National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
(NCMEC) forwarded a cyber tip to the OSBI that
they had received from an electronic service provider. The OSBI Internet Crimes Against Children
(ICAC) Unit opened an investigation upon receiving
the tip. Based on that investigation, a search warrant was served at Mason’s residence. As a result, he was arrested without
incident and booked into the Grady County Jail.
Mason is charged with Aggravated Possession of Child Pornography
and Violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.
If you suspect a child is being sexually exploited, contact the National
Center for Missing and Exploited Children immediately at 1-800-THE-LOST
or www.cybertipline.com. You can also contact the OSBI Internet Crimes
Against Children (ICAC) Unit at (800) 522-8017 or [email protected].
