DANGEROUS LIASONS
Two men have been taken into custody and charged
with first-degree murder in connection to the drug overdose death of an Enid man back in October 2021.
According to a press release from EPD, in the evening,
on June 28, Enid PD Narcotics Detectives and officers, and
Garfield County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, served
two arrest warrants for first-degree murder.
Kenneth Tyrone Sanders Jr., 37, and Gage Alexander
Huffman, 26, both of Enid, were charged in connection
with the overdose death of a 46-year-old Enid man in October of last year.
Sanders was taken into custody without incident at
High Point Trailer Park, 2700 N. Van Buren, at 6:07 p.m.
Huffman, who was already in custody on unrelated drug
charges, was served with his warrant at 6:20 p.m.
The eight-month long investigation began with officers
responding to an unattended death Oct. 20, 2021. Officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of West
York and found Eric Lee Houston deceased in a detached
garage.
Officers discovered drug paraphernalia consistent with
the use of fentanyl, contacted Narcotics Detectives, and
the investigation began.
Houston’s fiancée told detectives Houston had met with
Huffman to purchase counterfeit M-30 tablets containing
fentanyl. The three went to the High Point Trailer Park and
Huffman purchased the tablets from Sanders. Houston began smoking the tablets in the car and at his residence.
Narcotics Detectives contacted members of the Drug
Enforcement Administration Oklahoma City Office Tactical
Diversion Squad for assistance in investigating the case.
The agency aided detectives, provided guidance during
the investigation and shared their knowledge of working
overdose death investigations with local investigators.
During interviews, Huffman and Sanders corroborated
what Houston’s fiancée told detectives.
Sanders told investigators he knew the dangers of fentanyl and said he knew people who
have died from using it. When asked about the pills that killed Houston, Sanders said, “He
got those pills from me.”
Huffman told investigators he met with Houston, and Houston’s fiancée, to purchase tablets with fentanyl from Sanders. He said they drove to Sanders’ residence with $150 to
purchase the tablets.
Sanders and Huffman are being held without bond.
“It is impossible to distinguish between counterfeit or authentic prescription drugs when
buying them on the street, the consequences of taking these drugs outside the direction of a
medical professional has proven to be deadly time and time again,” said Eduardo A. Chavez,
Special Agent in Charge of the DEA Dallas/Oklahoma. “Mr. Sanders and Mr. Huffman are
being held responsible for their actions.
“Fentanyl is poisoning our streets and the DEA will never cease its efforts to remove these
drugs from the streets of Oklahoma.”
“Detective Walter Tuttle, Detective Sgt. Justin Hodges, Detective Sgt. Trey Kirkhart, Deputy Mark Vargas with assistance from the DEA, OBN and Garfield County District Attorney’s
Office worked countless hours working this investigation and building their homicide case
against Sanders and Huffman,” said Lt. Bryan Hart with Enid Police Department’s Detectives
Division. “This is just one example of the types of investigations conducted by the Enid Police
Department Narcotics Unit.
“This case remains under investigation along with other overdose deaths.”

OBN AND BARTLESVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT SHUT DOWN LARGESCALE METH TRAFFICKING ORGANIZATION
The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) and the Bartlesville Police
Department have shut down a large methamphetamine trafficking organization in northeast Oklahoma. OBN Spokesman Mark Woodward says
Agents and Officers served 13 Arrest Warrants just after 7:00 a.m. on
May 24 on individuals tied to a joint investigation launched by OBN and
Bartlesville Police Department in the fall of 2021. Woodward says this
organization is responsible for unloading significant quantities of methamphetamine onto the streets.
“During the course of the investigation, we found this organization shipping anywhere from 10 to 25 pounds of meth into northeastern Oklahoma
from the west coast on a weekly basis. Those shipments would then be
moved onto the streets in Washington County, Nowata County and parts
of Kansas.” ---OBN Spokesman Mark Woodward
Throughout the investigation, Woodward says Agents have seized more
than 35 pounds of meth and nearly 100 firearms associated with this organization. Woodward says a total of 13 individuals were arrested. Most
of the defendants were transported to the Washington County Jail where
they face a variety of charges including trafficking methamphetamine.
OBN Director Donnie Anderson says these types of joint investigations
are critical in eliminating drug threats in rural Oklahoma.
“Meth continues to be the top killer when it comes to drug-related deaths
in our state. I am grateful to our local law enforcement partners who work
tirelessly along-side our Agents every day to identify and dismantle these
trafficking organizations that destroy lives and families.” OBN Director
Donnie Anderson
Assisting with Arrest Warrants were Agents and Officers from OBN,
Bartlesville Police Department, Washington County Sheriff’s Department,
Nowata County Sheriff’s Department, The District 11 Drug Task Force and
the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.

HITTING THE HIGHWAY
Two stranded motorists were placed under arrest
after a deputy was dispatched to help them with car
trouble on June 10.
The men had drugs and drug paraphernalia in
their possession.
According to reports, a Woods County deputy
went to help the men at 7:20 p.m. When he arrived
about a half mile south of Jackson Road on US-281,
he saw a white truck resting partially in the roadway.
The driver’s side rear wheel was off of the vehicle.
Two men approached the deputy. The driver told
the deputy his name was Michael Louis McAuliff -
he gave the deputy an Arizona driver’s license. The
deputy later learned that the license belonged to the
man’s brother. His actual identity was 53-year-old
James Joseph McAuliff.
The passenger was 38-year-old Juan Michael
Tenorio from Anton Chico, New Mexico.
McAuliff said he was driving from Arizona to Kansas.
The deputy noticed that McAuliff appeared to be
under the influence of drugs.
While looking at the damage to the truck, he saw
a bag containing a white residue lying on the ground
on the passenger side. The residue later tested positive for meth.
The deputy asked McAuliff for consent to search
the truck. McAuliff denied permission.
At approximately 8:30 p.m., an Alva officer arrived with his K9. The dog alerted to the presence of
drugs in the truck.
Officers searched the vehicle and found a glass
pipe that tested positive for meth. They also found three containers under the vehicle that were concealed by velcro and magnets.
In the containers, officers found cocaine, two glass pipes with burnt residue,
a debit card, two identification cards with different names and McAuliff’s picture,
some marijuana, 26 Suboxone sublingual films, methamphetamine, a glass pipe
that tested positive for meth, two glass pipes with one loaded syringe with an amber-colored substance, two vape pens, and a vape cartridge.
Tenorio is being charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. His
bond was set at $1,000.
McAuliff is being charged with identity theft - unlawfully obtaining personal identifying information, possession of a controlled dangerous substance (cocaine) with
intent to distribute, possession of a controlled dangerous substance (suboxone)
with intent to distribute, possession of false identification card, possession of controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine), and unlawful possession of
drug paraphernalia.
His bond was set at $18,000.
Both men are scheduled to appear in court on July 12, 2022.
MCAULIFF
TENORIO We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money
or favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting officer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.
Thank you and God Bless

OSBI ARRESTS GARVIN COUNTY COUPLE ON
CHILD NEGLECT CHARGES
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation
(OSBI) arrested a mom and her boyfriend for
child neglect. Jourdan Jeanae Driskell, 32, and
her live-in boyfriend Bruce Andrews, 48, were arrested June 7 at the Garvin County Courthouse
in Pauls Valley. Both face one charge of Child
Neglect, which is a felony.
The OSBI was requested by the Garvin County
Sheriff’s Office on May 24, 2022 to investigate
allegations of child sexual abuse of a five-yearold girl. The child primarily lives with Driskell and
Andrews near Stratford. She recently reported to
her father that she frequently saw Andrews naked and saw his genitals. The OSBI investigation
revealed that the child watched Andrews touch
himself and he allowed her to touch his genitals. Driskill was present when these incidents
occurred. Both Andrews and Driskill allowed the
child to draw on their buttocks.
Driskell and Andrews bonded out an hour after
being booked into the Garvin County Jail.
The Pauls Valley Police Department and Garvin
County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation.
