THE STING
An Enid man is facing multiple felony charges after
a sting operation revealed he allegedly tried to make
sexual contact with whom he thought was a underage girl.
According to Enid Police Department, Chad Neal
Weber, 48, was arrested on complaints of Violation
of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act and Soliciting
Sexual Contact with a Minor by use of Technology.
Weber was arrested on the afternoon of June
25 following a joint undercover operation between
Vance Air Force Base Office of Special Investigations
and Enid Police Department detectives.
During a subsequent Interview between Weber and Detective Sean Dyer, Weber
confessed to his involvement in conversing online with the undercover OSI Agent who
was portrayed as a 14-year-old female. Weber also admitted to attempting to meet
with “her” for sexual purposes.
Weber was booked into the Garfield County Detention Facility on the above complaints.
As of press time, charges have yet to be filed in Garfield County District Court.

MORE CRAWL OUT OF
THE WOODWORK
Two additional arrests have made following
the Freedom double homicide back in April.
On April 11, 2024, the Woods County Sheriff’s
Office requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of
Investigation to assist with a double homicide.
Around 4:00 a.m. that morning, Woods
County deputies responded to a residence in
Freedom, near Saddlehorn Drive and Dusty
Trail, regarding possible gunshots. When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered 70-yearold Gary Neil Bradt deceased and 19-yearold Timothy Lane Wilcox in critical condition.
Life-saving measures were performed, but unfortunately Wilcox passed away at the scene.
Based on the evidence obtained from the
property, three suspects were located and detained for questioning. 23-year-old Christopher
Isaiah Padilla, 20-year-old Elijah Isaiah Mann,
and 17-year-old Catelynne Gorre were arrested
on two counts of First-Degree Murder. All three
suspects were booked into the Woodward County Jail.
On June 20, additional felony arrest warrants were issued in the Woods
County District Court for 22-year-old Mia Ruth Davis and 20-year-old Grant
David Gallagher. Davis was charged with Conspiracy to Commit a Felony
and two counts of Aiding and Abetting Felony Murder. Gallagher was also
charged with Conspiracy to Commit a Felony. That same day, Davis was arrested at the Garfield County Courthouse by deputies. She is currently being
held at the Woods County Jail. On June 25, Gallagher turned himself into the
Woods County Sheriff’s Office.

AROUND THE NATION
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (KABC) -- Boxer Ryan Garcia is
speaking out on social media following his arrest for felony
vandalism at a Beverly Hills hotel.
In a series of posts to X on Saturday and Sunday, Garcia compared himself to Britney Spears and Donald Trump
and spoke about medical issues as well as his religious
beliefs.
Police say the boxer caused about $15,000 in damage
to the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills on Saturday.
After being booked, the fighter complained of a medical issue and was taken to Cedars
Sinai Medical Center.
He’s now out on bail.
“I feel like I’m Ryan Spears Aka Britney Spears,” he wrote in one post.
An attorney representing Garcia issued a statement that the boxer is going through some
mental health and family struggles.
“This comes at an extraordinarily challenging time for
Ryan, as he has been grappling with devastating news regarding his mother’s health,” said attorney Darin T. Chavez
with Tricarico Chavez LLP.
“First and foremost, we urge everyone to respect Ryan’s privacy during this difficult period. Ryan has been
open about his struggles with mental health over the years
and at this time he is dealing with an immense emotional burden. The support and understanding from fans and
the public are crucial as he navigates these personal challenges. We are working diligently to provide Ryan with the
resources he needs. Our team is committed to ensuring
that he receives the appropriate help and care to address
both his immediate and long-term well-being. We ask for
continued support and compassion as Ryan focuses on
his family and his health at this time.”
Garcia (25-1, 20 KOs) faces suspension from the New
York Athletic Commission after he tested positive for the
banned substance ostarine in the lead-up to his majority
decision victory over Devin Haney in April in a major upset.
Garcia floored Haney three times but was ineligible to
win the WBC junior welterweight title after he was 3.2
pounds overweight.
A decision is forthcoming from the commission, and his
victory could be overturned.

AROUND THE STATE
Trail-blazing
On June 4, around 7:45 p.m., an Officer attempted to stop a red Chevy sedan near 5100
S. Riverside. The sedan ran a red light and was
driving on the rim of the front passenger tire.
Instead of stopping, the Chevy drove onto the
River Parks pedestrian trails and continued driving south. The suspect put numerous pedestrians and cyclists in danger on the trail, forcing
some of them to jump out of the way to avoid being
hit.
Officers quickly mobilized in the area and set up
stop sticks ahead of the pursuit, successfully deflating the driver side tires. The Chevy stopped near
7100 S. Riverside on the trail.
Officers gave the driver, identified as Wayne
Seward, numerous commands to exit the vehicle,
but he refused. Pepper balls were deployed in a
attempt to coerce the suspect out of the car. Ultimately with the help of a K9 Officer, Seward was
taken into custody.
Wayne Seward was arrested for Eluding and Obstructing Justice.

OSBI INVESTIGATES
HOMICIDE IN DOVER
On May 24, 2024, the Kingfisher County Sheriff’s
Office requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to assist with a homicide.
Earlier that evening, Kingfisher County deputies
responded to an altercation near South Chisholm
Trail and West Redfork Drive in Dover. When deputies
arrived on scene, they discovered an adult male severely injured. Life-saving measures were performed
by medical personnel, but unfortunately the victim passed away at the scene.
Based on the information and evidence gathered, 37-year-old Jorge Maradiago
Cruz was located and arrested on Manslaughter charges. Cruz was booked into the
Kingfisher County Jail.
The victim was transported the Office of the Oklahoma Chief Medical Examiner to
determine a cause and manner of death. This is still an ongoing investigation.

CONNECTING POINTS
Bond was denied for a 42-year-old Enid man
after he entered a plea of not guilty at his preliminary hearing in connection to a Ringwood man’s
death.
Floyd Dean Cox II was charged June 27 with
felony - murder in the first degree - deliberate intent, in Major County District Court.
According to OSBI, on June 7, the Major County Sheriff’s Office requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to assist
with a suspicious death.
Around 12:00 p.m. that day, Major County deputies received a call regarding
31-year-old Tyler Sladek, who was found deceased at a residence in Ringwood.
Sladek was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine
a cause and manner of death. It was determined Sladek suffered injuries consistent with homicide.
Based on the information and evidence gathered, OSBI special agents located and interviewed Cox. On June 27, Cox was arrested in Enid and booked into
the Garfield County Jail. He was later transported to the Major County Jail to
face the murder charge.
