A Ringwood woman was arrested on May 25 after she
was caught shoplifting at Walmart.
28-year-old Jessica Erin Campbell allegedly attempted
to steal $46.97 worth of merchandise.
According to the affidavit, an Enid officer was dispatched to Walmart in the 5500 block of West Owen K.
Garriott Road at approximately 4:52 p.m.
An asset protection employee told him that she started
watching Ringwood shortly after 4 p.m.
The woman was perusing the health and beauty department while fumbling with a bag in front of her cart.
Ringwood continued walking throughout the store. As
she moved through the produce section, the employee said that an object that
was on the child seat of the car somehow disappeared.
Ringwood went to the self-checkout and paid for a few things in her cart, but
it appeared she didn’t pay for everything.
After the woman walked past all of the registers, the employee approached
her and asked her to go to the loss prevention office. The employee said once
they were in the office, she told the woman to put the items she didn’t pay for on
the table. She put a few items on the table, including a bottle of lotion that didn’t
belong to the store.
Other items that weren’t paid for included tissue paper, wrapping paper, cupcakes, tote bag, foundation, concealer, and tanning oil.
The officer asked Campbell what her name was. She told him it was Kim.
When he asked for identification, she told him she didn’t have any. When he
asked how she spelled her name, she replied, “Well, my name is Jessica, but
people call me Kim.”
The officer asked her who called her Kim -- she said her mom.
The officer asked for her mother’s phone number, but the number was out of
service.
The officer believed Campbell was trying to conceal her identity -- he was right.
She had an active warrant out of Major County.
The officer placed her under arrest and transported her to jail.
Campbell is being charged with larceny from retailer. His bond was set at
$1,500, and he is scheduled to appear in court on June 9, 2016.

A Carney woman’s trip through Noble County was cut short when she was stopped for
speeding on May 18.
The speeding wasn’t the issue -- the suspected DUI, methamphetamine, open container, and paraphernalia were.
According to the police report, a Noble
County deputy stopped 36-year-old Miranda
Leigh Berry on I-35 at MM184, because the
woman was driving 76 mph in a 70 mph zone.
She also didn’t have the proper lights on her
license plate.
When the deputy approached the car, he
was immediately greeted by the stench of alcohol. There was a clear plastic cup in the floorboard between Berry’s feet -- she attempted
to hide it.
The deputy asked her what was in the cup. She told him it was vodka and
lemonade, and she had spilled it while driving.
The deputy told her to exit the vehicle. He conducted standard field sobriety
tests, but Berry either couldn’t complete them, or she couldn’t follow instructions. Either way, she probably wasn’t sober.
The deputy inventoried the woman’s vehicle to search for more open containers. He found a baggie which contained what appeared to be large shards of
meth, a piece of tin foil with a black residue, and a box of aluminum foil.
Due to the items in the car, the officer suspected Berry planned to distribute
the meth. He placed her under arrest and transported her to jail.
Berry is being charged with unlawful possession of controlled drug with intent
to distribute, driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and
drugs, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and transporting open bottle
or container of liquor. She was released on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to
appear in court on July 11, 2016.

Enid man Jose Jaquez Alarcon, 28, went
to jail in Kingfisher County after police found
drugs and paraphernalia in his vehicle during
a traffic stop on May 10.
According to the police report, Hennessey
officers stopped Alarcon shortly after 6 p.m.
because he was driving 66 mph in a 45 mph
zone in the 800 block of South Main. The driver stopped in the middle of the Love’s parking
lot.
An officer went to tell him to pull forward
so he wouldn’t block traffic. When he approached the driver’s window, he noticed that
the driver had both hands in a backpack that
was sitting in the driver’s seat.
The officer knocked on the window, making
the man jump. He seemed very nervous and
distracted.
The officer asked the man for his information. Alarcon handed over an insurance certificate and a license from Mexico.
After confirming through dispatch that the man didn’t have a valid license, the
officer placed him under arrest.
Officers conducted an inventory of the car and they found a pipe with a burnt
residue, a lighter with a marijuana leaf on it, and some razor blades in the backpack.
Alarcon later admitted to having a baggy of meth hidden in the lighter.
The officer retrieved the baggy -- the substance tested positive for meth.
Alarcon said the pipe, lighter, and meth didn’t belong to him -- he was just
holding them for a friend.
Alarcon is being charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance,
unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a driver’s license.
He was released on a $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June
9, 2016.

An L.A. gang member, Nazario Conchuza
Gonzalez, who is part of the infamous Ms-13
gang, also called Mara Salvatrucha, has died of
medical complications after attempting to gold
plate his own genitals to celebrate his 21st
birthday.
The young man that is originally from El Salvador and is an active member of the MS-13
crime family is believed to have attempted to
gold plate his own genitals with a professional
automotive gold plater stolen from a local garage after first painting his genitals with a leadbased paint, believe experts.
The 21-year old man who was allegedly a
fan of the 2002 American comedy movie Goldmember, which is a loose parody of the James Bond films Goldfinger, had taken the
Spanish nickname of “Pelotas de oro”, or golden testicles, before attempting to gold
plate his own genitals to his ultimate demise.
Dr Ian Joseffson of the Los Angeles Community Hospital warns of a growing trend
within gang members to attempt the “deadly operation”.
“This is the third case this year, but we have had many occurrences in hospitals in
the region these past years. It seems to be a growing trend within the gang member
community” he told reporters.
“I have no idea where this idea comes from but plating one’s own genitals will only
ultimately end in serious medical complications or even death, as we have seen in this
case” he explained.
Some experts believe the tradition might find it’s roots in prehistoric Mesoamerican
cultures, such as the Mayas who painted parts of their bodies with gold paint to empower themselves and as an offering to the gods.

Fairview man Everett Lee Loyd Jr., 32, went
to jail on suspicion of DUI after officers received
complaints that he was driving recklessly on May
17.
According to the affidavit, a Fairview officer was
dispatched to the apartments in the 600 block of
W. Beck shortly after 11 p.m. to investigate the
complaints. He found the man speeding down
Main Street.
The officer watched as the vehicle turned off
Main Street onto Walnut, traveling eastbound
in the westbound lane. He then came to a stop
without signaling, parking eastbound against the
westbound curb.
When the officer exited the patrol car, the driver
of the suspect vehicle also stepped out of his
vehicle.The officer noticed that the man was staggering and seemed to have
trouble keeping his balance.
Loyd also smelled like alcohol. He asked the officer in thick, slurred speech,
“What’s the problem?” The officer told him there were complaints that he was
driving recklessly through the apartment complex.
Loyd told the officer he had just been at the apartments for a minute to see
his girlfriend. When the officer asked the man if he had been drinking, Loyd
replied, “I’ve had two or three. I just need to go home.”
Well, that probably wasn’t going to happen.
The officer asked Loyd if he could take the standard field sobriety tests. Loyd
said yes, but he didn’t follow instructions and he refused to complete some of
the tests. The tests that he did take revealed he probably wasn’t sober.
As the officer placed the man under arrest, Loyd told him that he had an unloaded pistol behind his seat.
No he didn’t.
He had a loaded pistol in the glove box.
Loyd is being charged with driving a motor vehicle while under the influence
of alcohol and carrying firearm while under the influence. His bond was set at
$10,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on June 29, 2016.

Drugs and alcohol cause sexual offenses to

False. While drugs and alcohol are often
involved in sexual assaults, drugs and alcohol
do not cause sexual offenses to occur. Rather,
drug and alcohol use may be a disinhibitor for
the offender, while being under the influence
may increase a potential victim’s vulnerability.
