We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money or
favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting
offi cer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.
Thank you and God Bless

OCSO SEEKS HEL P FROM
PUBLIC FOR HISTORY PROJECT
(Oklahoma City) The Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office is making a
plea to anyone who might have historic pictures, or artifacts related to
our agency to share them with us.
“The Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office is working on a history project.
If you, your family, friends or acquaintances have any old photos or artifacts related to OCSO would love to have them or a digital copy”, said
Oklahoma County Sheriff John Whetsel.
The Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office has been in existence since the
1890’s well before Oklahoma became a state in 1907, and we have very
few items in house to document our history. “These items we are looking for could be from the 1890s, the 1900s, during the Oklahoma City
Bombing – just historical photos involving the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office including people, vehicles, etcetera”, said Whetsel.
If you have pictures, documents, or any artifacts which we could include in our archives, and displays please scan and email them to [email protected] or direct message them through our Facebook page.
You can also contact Public Information Director Mark Myers at (405)
713-1029.
Thank you in advance for assisting us with this project.

As the weather starts to warm
up, recreational thoughts naturally
turn to the wonderful lakes
and other waterways in the state of Oklahoma. Along with the
increase of activity in and around the water, comes the potential
for drownings or near drownings, most of which can be prevented
with the use of Personal Floatation Devices. I’ve talked about them
before, but a refresher never hurts, so here goes!
First, let me just say that there are 5 types of PFDs. I’m not
going to get into their descriptions, just which types are required
for what situation. All PFDs must be U.S. Coast Guard approved,
and used in accordance with their label. The label will also state
the type. All vessels must carry one wearable (Type I, II, III,
or V) USCG approved PFD for each person on board or being
towed. In addition to that, vessels 16 feet in length or longer
must have one Type IV USCG approved PFD on board and readily
accessible. Oklahoma Law requires that all children under 13 years
of age wear an approved PFD whenever underway in a vessel less
than 26 feet in length. Each person on a personal watercraft or
sailboard must wear an approved PFD. Anyone being towed on
water skis or similar devices must wear an approved PFD. Ski belts
are not approved PFDs.
Now, besides being USCG approved, all PFDs must be: In good
serviceable condition. They must also be readily accessible. Readily
accessible means you must be able to put the PFD on in a reasonable
amount of time in an emergency. PFDs should not be stowed in
plastic bags, in locked compartments, or have other gear stowed on
top of them. They must also be of the proper size for the intended
wearer. Sizing for PFDs is based on body weight and chest size. A
good way to test this, especially for children, is to put it on, adjust
the straps, and have the wearer raise their arms up, and try to pull
it up off them. If it can come off, it is not the right size for the
wearer.
Those are the requirements, so now lets talk about the
suggestions. If you have children in or around water, make
sure they have a PFD on. Air mattresses, floaties, and other toy
floatation objects don’t count. There have been way too many
stories of toddlers near the water’s edge falling in and drowning,
and these could be prevented by following this suggestion. Also,
keep a watchful eye on those kids...even if they are only out of
your sight for a few seconds, its long enough for them to get in
trouble around the water. Last, wear one on boats even if you don’t
have to. In an emergency, you may not have enough time to put it
on. Thanks for reading, buckle up those PFDs and seat belts, and
be safe!

An Enid man accused a police
officer of planting drugs in a patrol vehicle after he was detained
for a stolen tag.
On April 26, Enid police responded to the 3100 block of W.
Garriot in response to a stolen
Missouri tag on a vehicle, according to the affidavit.
When they made contact with the occupants of the vehicle, they
asked the driver and passenger, identified as Joshua Raymond Rodriguez, 24, to exit the vehicle.
Police handcuffed both men and detained them in patrol vehicles.
During a search of the vehicle, they found a bottle of whiskey and
two unopened cans of beer.
Rodriguez told police that the alcohol was his and the driver had not
been drinking. He said he had been drinking at a friend's house.
An officer had Rodriguez to exit his patrol vehicle to take off the
handcuffs. As he took off the first handcuff, another officer handed
him a clear plastic baggy with a white crystal substance he had found
in the seat where Rodriguez had been sitting.
Rodriguez tried to deny ownership of the bag, but the officer told him
that he was the first person in the patrol car after the officer checked it.
Rodriguez said he was going to be honest; he told police that he had
a bag of marijuana in his pocket, but the meth was not his.
An officer searched Rodriguez and did not find any marijuana. Rodriguez told him that the other officer had planted the drugs in the
patrol vehicle.
Police transported Rodriguez to jail. The white substance tested
positive for methamphetamine.
Rodriguez is being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and transporting an open container. He was released on
a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 16, 2014.
Let’s be honest…

Watch out for Home
Repair Fraud!
In Oklahoma, the wind and
rain that come with spring can
wreak havoc on our homes and
property. By being prepared
and being aware, consumers
can avoid being victimized.
Be alert to several clues that
might indicate a less-than-reputable repairman. Be wary of
anyone who solicits door-todoor, offers discounts for finding other customers or “just
happens to have” materials left
over from a previous job. Also,
be suspicious of a repairman who accepts only cash payments, pressures you for an immediate decision or asks you to pay for the entire
job up-front.
Remember the following tips:
-Ask people you trust for referrals.
-Whenever possible, deal with local firms with roots in the community.
-Check out the repairman with the Attorney General’s Consumer
Protection Unit.
-Ask for customer references.
-Get written estimates from several firms.
-Don’t do business without a written contract.
-Get all guarantees, warranties and promises in writing.
-Agree on start and completion dates and have them written into
the contract.
The same rules apply when dealing with lawn, landscape, swimming pool or any type of speciality work.
Whether doing weather-related repairs or just general property
updates or repairs, consumers need to exercise caution before opening up their homes and their wallets. We can keep scam artists at
bay-even if we can’t say the same thing about Oklahoma weather.

AGG A&B ON POLICE OFFICER
Enid man Eric Ryan Cosby, 32, was
arrested for driving under the influence
April 27 after he hit a parked vehicle.
According to the affidavit, an Enid
police officer was dispatched to the
3000 block of Brooks in reference to
a vehicle hitting a parked truck. When
he arrived, he saw Cosby standing next
to his truck. Cosby approached the officer, shaking his head, and told him that
he was almost home.
The officer assessed the scene and
noted that Cosby had been traveling
eastbound when he collided with a
truck that was parked on the south side
of the street.
The officer noticed that the front end of Cosby's truck was smashed
and his airbag had been deployed. He asked Cosby what happened.
Cosby told the officer that he had been on his cell phone when he
hit the truck, however, the strong smell of alcohol made the officer
believe that the cell phone wasn't entirely to blame.
Eric also had bloodshot eyes and was swaying from side to side.
The officer asked Cosby if he had consumed any alcohol that night.
Cosby admitted in slurred speech that he had had a few drinks at
the bar.
The officer attempted to conduct standard field sobriety tests, but
stopped for Cosby's safety, because he couldn't seem to stop swaying
from side to side.
The reporting party told police that she saw Cosby hit another
truck and exit his vehicle to check the front end. He then got back
into the driver's seat of his truck.
Cosby is being charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
He was released on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in
court on June 4, 2014.
Almost home
doesn’t cut it!

OK Jailbirds is cooperating with the efforts of Oklahoma Department of Human Services to impact the huge
social problem of irresponsible parents who are not paying the child supports ordered by our courts.
If these biological-only parents won’t honor the courts order, perhaps public shame will get their attention.
If you know how to reach any of the Deadbeat Parents found on this page, please call the Oklahoma Department of Human Services
Child Support HotLine at 1-800-522-8014
Importance of Child Support
Children are our future and child support helps make sure they
have a chance at a productive life. Children have the right to get
support from both parents and do not lose this right when a
parent leaves the home.
When children do not receive child support, they can:
Suffer both Emotionally and Physically
Live within a Reduced Standard of Living
Have their Basic Needs Unmet
Become Non-Supportive when they become Parents.
When one or both parents do not support their children,
taxpayers often pay the cost of raising children. When children
receive public assistance and their parents pay no child support,
all taxpayers bear the cost of supporting the children.

A Custer County woman was arrested after she allegedly dragged her
husband out of his vehicle and hit him for spending too much money at the
casino.
On March 28, Weatherford police responded to a residence in the 1300
block of Meadow Lane in response to a family disturbance. En route to the
location, an officer was advised that the altercation had become physical,
according to the affidavit.
When police arrived, they spoke with the victim, who said that he and his
wife had got into an argument because he went to the casino and gambled away their money.
He said she hit him several times on the head, face and back with her fist.
The victim added that he went to his truck in an attempt to get away, but his wife pulled him
out of the vehicle, causing his head to hit the ground. The officer noticed the victim’s cheeks
were red and swollen.
Witnesses told police that they had seen the victim’s wife, Teresa Ann Middleton, 47, hit the
victim in the head and attempt to push him down the stairs. They also said that Middleton
had slapped the victim while he was lying on the ground by his truck.
Police spoke to Middleon, and she told them that she was upset at her husband for spending
their money at the casino. She denied hitting her husband or pulling him out of the truck.
Middleton is being charged with domestic abuse — assault and battery, second and
subsequent. She is being held on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April
25, 2014.

What you’re saying
about this on...
Josh D: Agrees to have sex with
two dudes, drinks and smokes and falls
asleep, doesn’t get to enjoy it, becomes
rape.
Stanley K: ^^^ what he said
Mike V: I agree he didn’t use good
judgement BUT I don’t feel sorry for her
ass one bit
Crystal N: Just because she says yes
at one point doesn’t mean she didn’t later
change her mind. Maybe she said nah,
I’d really rather not sorry guys. So they
break out the goods knowing that if she’s
drunk she will change her mind... But
she passed out instead. If the person isn’t
awake and willing it is still rape. That’s
what’s wrong with guys these days...
“Well she said she would but then got too
drunk and passed out... I think she would
still say yes so I’m gunna get my rocks
off while she lays here unconscious not
knowing what I did and not being able to
say no you can’t do that or yea it’s fine”
nope. Still rape jerk.
Mike V: How u know they broke out
the “goods” cause they’re black ???? Maybe she brought the goods
Regi A: She agreed to have sex with
2 men and jackson wasnt 1 of them hence
rape. Besides she was unconcience and
could not consent or decline at the actual
time and that you idiotic mcp IS RAPE!!!
Btw, if a woman has the bad judgement
to agree to have sex with Josh D and halfway through says stop and you dont, its
rape.
Jana B: Where the hell did the black
comment come in ^^^^
Crystal N: I’m not racist… And I
said “they” meanings the 3 of them...
How would u feel if this happened to your
wife,gf, sister or daughter?! Bet you’d
say the dudes raped her too because she
wasn’t awake to consent at the time of the
actions. Just because I tell my friend I’m
gunna come by doesn’t mean I did t later
change my mind. People change their
mind all the time. If this happened to
your child or gf you’d be crying rape not
saying oh sorry honey, u told him earlier
you would so he didn’t rape you.
Brenda O: Maggot!
Regi A: Btw, my ass is white as they
come, and I on occasion have been known
to 2 “break out the goods” not a racist slur
you “…”. Btw … was just opinion based on
the only info you’ve given me
Brenda O: And anyone that thinks
its ok are maggots too!
Cortnie L: Nothing but a bunch of
sick bastards
Jordan M: had NOTHING to do
with the marijuana, they prob dropped a
xan in the alcohol.…
Alva O: Feminazi’s everywhere. Not
even pertaining to the story, because
yeah, that’s rape, but this comment section is littered with stupid dumbassry.
Candis M: Well I can only hope karma comes back and hits these two losers
in the butt! (Literally)
Tony M: It’s absolutely rape, without a doubt. With that said, don’t make
stupid decisions! This goes for men and
women: it’s up to you to decide how people treat you, if you don’t respect yourself, no one is going to respect you. It’s
never right to take advantage of someone, but it’s just as wrong to put yourself
into that position.
Tulsa Police arrested a 20-year-old man for a rape that they
say was filmed on a cell phone. Willie Donnell Jackson is being
held in lieu of a $75,000 bond on complaints of first degree
rape and rape by instrumentation.
Police say the victim went to her boyfriend’s apartment in
the 4800 block of South Darlington, agreeing to have sex with
him and another man. She drank about seven shots of alcohol
and smoked marijuana with them, an arrest and booking report
states.
“The victim stated at some point and time she passed out losing consciousness,”
the report states.
Police showed the woman cell phone video of Jackson having sex with her, and
the officer said the victim was shocked and very emotional, saying several times
that she did not give consent to having sex with Jackson.
She believed the marijuana cigarette had been laced with something because
“she did not remember a thing” that she saw on the video.
“The victim at the time of the sexual intercourse was unconscious of the nature
of the act,” the arresting officer said.
Police say Jackson would have been aware of her state because the men were
“physically moving her body into positions as well as turning her over onto her
back and stomach, and she appeared to be like a rag doll.”

Police say they arrested a drunken
Gainesville, Texas, man who apparently passed out while trying to get some
munchies.
On April 22, Perry police were dispatched to Sonic at 15th and Fir Avenue
in reference to an intoxicated driver
passed out in his car, the affidavit states.
When an officer arrived, he saw a car
with its door open, and a man asleep in
the driver's seat. The lower half of the
subject's body was hanging outside the
car.
The officer woke the man up and noticed that he appeared extremely disoriented. The man also had enlarged pupils and slurred speech.
The officer turned the man's car off and asked him what he was
doing.
The man, later identified as Martin Tanner Grissom, 23, told the
officer that he was going to his hotel.
As the officer was speaking to Grissom, he noticed a package of
synthetic marijuana in the pocket of the driver's side door. Next to
the substance was a glass pipe.
The officer placed Grissom under arrest. He searched Grissom's
vehicle and found a bottle of urine with a temperature gauge on the
outside of the bottle. According to the officer, this item is used to pass
drug tests.
A manager at the restaurant told the officer that Grissom had ordered food three times but had passed out after every order. She said
he would wake up, order like he was fine and pass out while talking.
Grissom is being charged with actual physical control of vehicle under the influence and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He
was released on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court
on May 21, 2014.

Tremane Wood
Tremane Wood was convicted of
stabbing a 19-year-old Montana man
to death in a motel room on New
Year’s Day 2002.
Prosecutors alleged that Wood
and his brother, Zjaiton Wood, 34,
robbed Ronald Wipf, 31, and another
Montana man, Arnold Jonathan
Kleinsasser, before the stabbing.
Zjaiton Wood was sentenced to life
in prison without parole and an
additional 120 years for the robbery
and killing.
Wipf and Kleinsasser were working on a harvesting crew at a
farm in Chickasha. The two men were members of the Hutterites
of the Riverview Colony, a religious sect in Montana, and had
returned to Oklahoma after spending the holidays with their
families.
Prosecutors alleged that Kleinsasser and Wipf met two women,
Lanita Sue Bateman and Brandy Lynn Warden, at a restaurant
on New Year’s Eve 2001 and that they off ered to have sex with
the pair for $210. But prosecutors alleged that the women were
setting the men up to be robbed.
Bateman, 29, was sentenced to life in prison plus 101 years
for her role in the crime. Warden, 30, pleaded guilty to a lesser
charge and testifi ed against Bateman in exchange for a 45-year

A Mustang man was taken to jail
May 1 after police found a cup in his
vehicle with weed floating in soda.
According to the affidavit, a Kingfisher officer was traveling southbound on Highway 81 when he noticed a vehicle that was driving in the
middle of two lanes.
He stopped the vehicle and made
contact with the driver, identified as
21-year-old Tyler Joseph Chrisman.
The officer asked him for his license and insurance. When Chrisman reached across his car to retrieve his insurance from the glove
compartment, the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana.
The officer told Chrisman he could smell marijuana coming from
the car and that he was going to conduct a search of the vehicle for
marijuana.
In the driver's seat, the officer found a small clump of a green leafy
substance that he recognized as marijuana. He field-tested the substance, and sure enough, it tested positive for marijuana.
An officer placed Chrisman under arrest and put him in a patrol
vehicle.
Police continued to search Chrisman's vehicle and found two glass
smoking pipes in the console, two bags with a green leafy substance,
a straw with a white residue, a social security card with a white residue, and a McDonald's cup with a green leafy substance floating in
liquid.
Chrisman is being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He
was released on a $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court
on May 7, 2014.

Jesus said, “You have heard the law
that says the punishment must match the
injury: ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for
a tooth.’ But I say, do not resist an evil
person! If someone slaps you on the right
cheek, offer the other cheek also. If you
are sued in court and your shirt is taken
from you, give your coat, too.” (Matthew
5:38-40)
God’s purpose behind this law was an expression of mercy. The
law was given to judges and said, in effect, “Make the punishment fit
the crime.” It was not a guide for personal revenge. These laws were
given to limit vengeance and help the court administer punishment
that was neither to strict nor too lenient. Some people, however, were
using this phrase to justify their vendettas against others. People still
try to excuse their acts of revenge by saying, “I was just doing to him
what he did to me.”

Doesn’t the Bible Say “An Eye for an

Police say they arrested a drunken Fairview man after he mowed a lawn
without permission and exposed himself to less-than-impressed women.
According to the affidavit, a woman contacted Fairview police on April
26 and told them that Harold Eugene Johnson, 63, was drunk and behaving indecently. She told them that he was mowing the lawn without
permission.
Usually when people mow your lawn, they're being helpful, but not
Johnson.
The woman said Johnson had driven up to her residence on a mower
and walked up to her with his, well, johnson, exposed and asked if he could mow her yard.
She said she told him no, and he jumped back on his mower, passed out for a couple minutes, and then started mowing the lawn anyway. While mowing the lawn, he allegedly ran
over a lawn chair and table and dragged them underneath the mower.
After mowing the yard, Johnson then allegedly proceeded to drive the mower to another
residence. The homeowner told police that Johnson had drunk a beer, threw the can down
and then urinated on one of his trees.
Johnson admitted to drinking beer and could barely stand up on his own. Police placed
him under arrest and transported to jail.
Johnson is being charged with public intoxication, malicious injury to property under
$1,000 and indecent exposure. His bond was set at $10,000, and he is scheduled to appear
in court on June 17, 2014.
