When an Enid officer tried to arrest
Helena man Tyler Steven Allison, 25, on
September 23, he probably thought it
was going to be an easy arrest. Allison at
first told him, “I give up!” He then took
off running.
According to the police report, the officer was advised Allison was seen walking
westbound from 1600 E. Birch. Allison
was wanted for questioning by the Garfield Sheriff’s Office and he had several
outstanding felony warrants through
Major County and Garfield County.
The man needed to be locked up!
The officer went to the location with the intent of doing just that.
He located the man walking southbound on 10th Street. He then
stopped in front of a residence in the 900 block of E. Locust.
The officer exited his vehicle and told the man to show him his
hands. Allison threw up his hands in surrender and said, “I give up!”
But, he didn’t.
The officer started walking toward the wanted man, but Allison
had other plans. He took off running, but the officer quickly caught
up to him while he was trying to climb over a fence. The two men fell
to the ground and Allison tried to crawl away. He finally stopped trying to run when the officer pulled out his Taser.
Allison told the officer, “I have a derringer in my pocket, but it’s
not loaded.”
Not a good thing for a convicted felon to have!
Allison was placed under arrest.
The officer located the gun along with several knives in the man’s
pants.
Allison is being charged with possession of firearm after former
conviction of felony, possession of firearm with defaced serial number during commission of felony, larceny of automobile, possession of stolen vehicle and obstructing officer. His bond was set at
$12,500, and he is scheduled to appear in court on October 26, 2015.
I give up -- just kidding!

Well, the temperatures are
dropping, and fall is almost here,
and these things signal the start
of football season in Oklahoma! Not only have our major colleges
had their first home games, but all across the state, people are
traveling to and from football games from 4th graders on up to
high school. With that in mind, here are a few tips to make this
football season safe.
Lets start with college. Whether you are a Sooner, Cowboy,
or Golden Hurricane fan, one thing is for sure...you aren’t
alone! There are thousands of fans for each home game
traveling to the stadiums. This volume of traffic demands your
consideration. First, if you can, leave early! The closer to game
time, the worse the traffic gets, so if you can, get to the stadium
early. There are plenty of things on a game day that are going on
prior to kickoff that you can spend your time enjoying. There are
usually lots of free stuff for the kids to do that make the whole game
day experience wonderful for them as well.
Second, be patient! You WILL run into traffic, so plan ahead,
and don’t get frustrated with it. Turn on the radio, listen to the pregame hype, and remember to be a safe, courteous driver. Getting
frustrated, and getting into a hurry, can result in a traffic accident
that will delay your arrival, and could end up being very expensive,
not to mention the potential for injury.
Last, be aware that there are usually some temporary traffic
control changes on game days. Both before and after the games,
law enforcement will be at intersections controlling the traffic
lights, and making adjustments to keep the traffic flowing in the
best possible manner. Be alert and aware, and recognize when and
where these temporary traffic controls are taking place!
Now, on to the local games! The biggest thing I remember from
growing up is that parents are usually running late to get to games,
because of what time they got off work. This has not changed... we
Troopers are stopping folks who are speeding trying to get to a kid’s
ball game all the time. While we understand, (we have kids too!)
we also see all too often what happens when accidents happen as
a result of unsafe speed. If you get stopped by us, you’re going to
be even later, and possibly on the hook for a hefty fine. If you get
involved in an accident, you may not make the game at all.
Finally, when you do get there, be a good fan! Cheer your team,
don’t denigrate the other team. Use appropriate language in the
stands; remember, there are kids of all ages in the stands with you.
We Oklahomans love our football, just remember to show your
support in a positive way!
Thanks for reading, buckle up, and be safe!

An Orlando man was arrested in the early morning hours of September 18 for getting behind the wheel of his truck after a few too
many drinks in Stillwater.
Shortly after 1 a.m., a Perry police officer saw a truck fail to turn in
a turn-only lane at Seventh and Fir. The officer followed the truck,
and around 6th and Fir, he noticed the vehicle’s third brake light
wasn’t working.
He stopped the truck in the 700 block of Sixth and made contact
with the driver, identified as 23-year-old Parris Keller Robinson.
The officer asked the driver for his license and insurance. Robinson told the officer he didn’t have a copy of insurance in his vehicle,
and he couldn’t show the officer his insurance on his cellphone because the phone was off.
While talking to the man, the officer noticed the smell of alcohol. He asked Robinson if he
had been drinking.
According to the police report, Robinson admitted to having some alcohol at a bar in Stillwater -- he told the officer he stopped drinking about 20 minutes prior to the stop. He said he
had been drinking since 9 p.m.
The officer conducted standard field sobriety tests. Not surprising, Robinson didn’t do so
well. The officer placed the man under arrest and took him to jail.
Robinson is being charged with driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
He was released on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on October 27, 2015.

Kingfisher woman Rebecca McAdams, 21,
was arrested after she allegedly threatened
to blow up Pizza Hut and kill everyone in the
restaurant.
Apparently, it all started with a dating app.
On September 18, the victim called the
sheriff’s office to report threats being made
to him. He told a Kingfisher officer the night
before, he received a call from a blocked
number. The caller sounded like an older
woman, and she was kind of scary!
According to the affidavit, she told the victim she knew who he was, where he worked and who is baby momma
and kids were. She allegedly said she was going to kill everyone at
Pizza Hut and blow it up at noon.
She didn’t stop there, however! She also told the victim his manager’s name and named everyone who was in the man’s house, including his dogs. She also told him she was surprised he wasn’t dead yet.
Police obtained the victim’s phone records and were able to connect the mysterious caller’s phone number to McAdams.
An officer went to her house and asked her to meet him at the station. The officer asked to see her phone, and he saw when she called
the victim. She had conveniently put *67 before the number to block
it on his caller ID.
McAdams said she met the victim on a dating app and they briefly
dated. She said she told him some stupid things, including wanting
to kill all of the people at Pizza Hut, but she never said she was going
to blow it up.
The officer asked her why she was so mad at the restaurant. She
told him she had her reasons.
The victim admitted to meeting a woman on the dating app, but he
said he deleted the app because he didn’t want his girlfriend to find
out. He said he never met McAdams or talked to her on the phone.
McAdams is being charged with making a telephone bomb threat.
Her bond was set at $15,000, and she is scheduled to appear in court
on October 19, 2015.

unauthorized use of a

A Cleo Springs man was stopped for speeding down state Highway
58 on September 20, but it wasn’t the speeding that got him arrested.
21-year-old Joseph Reed Barnhill was put behind bars for the marijuana pipe he had in his lap.
Around 2:40 p.m., a state trooper was traveling southbound down
the highway when his radar caught a black car going 80 mph in the
posted 65 mph zone. He stopped the car approximately four miles
south of Fairview.
The driver was identified as Barnhill.
Barnhill knew why he was pulled over. He told the trooper he knew
he was speeding down the highway and not wearing a seatbelt.
Tsk tsk, Barnhill -- especially since his baby and fiancee were in the vehicle.
The trooper asked the man to step out of his vehicle and have a seat in the patrol car. When
Barnhill stepped out of the car, a white metal pipe with burnt residue fell from the man’s lap.
The trooper recognized the pipe as a device commonly used to smoke marijuana. He immediately placed the man under arrest for the paraphernalia.
He also searched Barnhill’s car for more illegal items, but he just found a few marijuana
seeds in the driver’s seat.
According to the police report, Barnhill told the trooper the last time he smoked weed was
the day before.
Barnhill is being charged with unlawful possession of paraphernalia. He was released on a
$500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on October 28, 2015.

Registered Sex Offenders for The Area
FACT:
Victims of sexual assault are harmed
only when offenders use force.
False. More than any physical
injuries the victim sustains, the
violation of trust that accompanies
most sexual assaults has been shown
to dramatically increase the level of
trauma the victim suffers. Emotional
and psychological injuries cause
harm that can last much longer than
physical wounds.
The sex offenders
page is not a
complete listing
of all offenders in
these counties; we
will be publishing
more in each
month’s issue.
