44-year-old Byars man Benjamin James
Stewart is wanted by police for allegedly
showing a woman his family jewels at a casino on September 26, 2018.
It was definitely not her lucky day.
According to the police report, a Chickasaw Nation Lighthorse officer was dispatched
to the Washita Casino on Highway 145 in
Paoli to investigate the incident. According to
the victim, she was just trying to play some
slot machines when Stewart sat down next
to her. They had a brief conversation about
which machines were paying out.
After she spent her money at the machine,
the victim said she moved to another machine. Stewart followed her and sat back
down. He pointed to some neon lights on the
side of the machine and told the woman that the light bar was as long as his
penis was. She said she thought she may have misheard him, but then he
asked her if she wanted to see his penis.
She told him no, she did not.
Stewart persisted, telling the woman he wanted to give her oral sex and
that she had beautiful breasts.
The victim said she continued playing on a machine until she saw something out of the corner of her eye. Stewart was messing with the zipper on his
pants. The woman looked down and saw Stewart’s exposed genitals. She
grabbed the man by his shirt and started screaming for security.
Security spoke to Stewart and the woman. Stewart admitted to security
that he showed the woman his “d*ck.” He said he felt badly about it.
Security advised the man they couldn’t make him wait for police to arrive,
so he left the casino with his dad.
Stewart is a registered sex offender in McClain County for indecent exposure. He is now wanted for indecent exposure in Garvin County. A $5,000
warrant was issued for his arrest on January 18, 2019.

Nothing runs like a Deere
Two men were taken into custody after the
driver of a car police were pursuing rammed into
a patrol vehicle.
The Wichita Police Department reportedly arrested 39-year-old Darrel Deere of Wichita and
19-year-old Jamie Daily of Bentley, KS. Deere
was arrested on charges of aggravated assault
of a law enforcement officer, evade and elude,
aggravated weapons violation, traffic charges
and outstanding warrants. Daily was arrested on
charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and
outstanding warrants.
At approximately 12:00 a.m. on January 4, Officers attempted to stop a 2000 Maroon Saturn in
the area of Savanah and Seneca for traffic violations. Deere accelerated, refused to stop and fled
from Officers. A vehicle pursuit ensued to Glenn
and Irving where the vehicle stopped. Deere
then put the Saturn in reverse and intentionally
rammed the patrol vehicle in a continued attempt
to escape. Deere then wrecked into a fence and
fled from the vehicle on foot.
Officers took Deere into custody after a short
foot pursuit. Officers arrested Daily in the Saturn
without further incident. Both were booked into jail.
No officers were injured in this incident.

Four locked up for child neglect
Four Ardmore residents were placed under arrest on December 21 after police found evidence of
child neglect at their home, including animal feces
and an infestation of insects.
According to reports, Ardmore officers were dispatched to the residence on Moore St. SE to investigate a medical call regarding an unresponsive
10-month-old. When police arrived at the house,
they met with four adults: 43-year-old Marcus
Dwayne Mason, 27-year-old Holly Danyelle Mason,
31-year-old Jeremy Keith Macip, and 32-year-old
Sherri Rae Macip.
The adults told the officers that the baby had accidentally taken some medication that belonged to
another child in the home.
Reports state the baby was having trouble staying
awake when officers were investigating the incident.
The child was flown to a hospital in Tulsa, but was
released after receiving treatment.
Doctors told police the baby had taken a prescription sedative. That discovery led officers inside
the home, where they found animal feces on the
floor, insects and trash scattered around the home.
Seven children were removed from the home and
put into protective custody.
Marcus Mason and Holly Mason are being
charged with four counts of child neglect. Their
bonds were set at $10,000.
Jeremy Macip and Sherri Macip are being charged
with three counts of child neglect. Jeremy Macip’s
bond was set at $10,000.
Sherri Macip’s bond was set at $5,000.
They are all scheduled to appear in court on February 28, 2019.

We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money
or favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting officer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.
Thank you and God Bless

AROUND THE NATION
A 21-year-old woman who was sought by
authorities in Las Vegas after allegedly skipping out on a $35 manicure and using a stolen car to run over and kill a manicurist has
been arrested in Arizona.
Krystal Whipple was taken into custody by
a team of Phoenix-area fugitive hunters involving local police, county investigators and
FBI agents, Las Vegas police said. The arrest
occurred in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale.
Las Vegas police Officer Jacinto Rivera
said he did not immediately have details of
the arrest. He said prosecutors will seek her
extradition from Arizona to Las Vegas where
Whipple was sought in a warrant issued Jan.
4 on murder and robbery charges in the killing of Ngoc Q. Nguyen, 51, of Garden Grove,
California.
The case sparked intense national interest after police released an internet
plea for help identifying Whipple that showed parking lot security video of a
woman leaving the nail salon Dec. 29. Homicide Lt. Ray Spencer said Whipple tried to pay for her manicure with a fraudulent credit card before telling
Nguyen that she was going to her car to get cash, then drove away.
Nguyen went to the front of the car and a man who Spencer identified as
Nguyen’s husband was seen in the security footage holding onto the vehicle
from behind as the car accelerates out of a parking lot.
Police say the car was a rental that had been stolen. It was later found
abandoned at an apartment complex.
Whipple has a criminal record in Las Vegas including a conviction in 2017
for attempted possession of a stolen vehicle. Clark County District Court records said she was sentenced to four months in jail for violating probation in
that case.
An attorney who represented Whipple at that time said he doesn’t represent her now.

Officers went to the residence of 52-year-old Joseph Wayne Lindsey at the request of a neighbor
who had not seen Lindsey since the previous Friday. Officers forced entry into the residence and
found Lindsey dead inside.
OSBI and Madill Police worked throughout the
night collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses. The investigation is
on-going.
If anyone has information pertaining to Lindsey’s death, please contact

Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty MARSHALL COUNTY 19 | FEBRUARY 2019
As a female shopper exited a convenience store, a man grabbed her
purse and ran. The clerk called 911 immediately and the woman was
able to give them a detailed description of the snatcher, and police apprehended him within minutes. They put him in the cruiser and drove
back to the store. The thief was then taken out of the car and told to
stand there for a positive ID. To which he replied, “Yes Officer, that’s her.
That’s the lady I stole the purse from.”
In Bent Forks, Ill., kidnapers of ice-cube magnate Worth Bohnke sent a
photograph of their captive to Bohnke’s family. Bohnke was seen holding
up a newspaper. It was not that day’s edition and, in fact, bore a prominent headline relating to Nixon’s trip to China. This was pointed out to
the kidnapers in a subsequent phone call. They responded by sending a
new photograph showing an up-to-date newspaper. Bohnke, however,
did not appear in the picture. When this, too, was refused, the kidnapers became peevish and insisted that a photograph be sent to them
showing all the people over at Bohnke’s house holding different issues of
Success Magazine. They provided a mailing address and were immediately apprehended. They later admitted to FBI agents they did not understand the principle involved in the photograph/newspaper concept. “We
thought it was just some kind of tradition,” said one.
After being arrested for stealing a car, the judge asked the man, “how
do you plead?” Instead of saying guilty or not guilty the man said: “Before
we go any further, judge, let me explain why I stole the car.” The judge
ruled in record time.
When two service station attendants refused to hand over the cash
to an intoxicated robber, the man threatened to call the police. They still
refused, so the robber called the police and was arrested.
Police in Los Angeles had good luck with a robbery suspect who just
couldn’t control himself during a lineup. When detectives asked each
man in the lineup to repeat the words, “Give me all your money or I’ll
shoot,” the man shouted, “That’s not what I said!”
In a small town of 1700, a student attempted to rob the local convenience store wearing his letterman’s jacket. He did not realize that he was
the only male named Dana in the whole town.
A company called “Guns For Hire” stages gunfights for Western movies, etc. One day, they received a call from a 47-year-old woman, who
wanted to have her husband killed. She got 4-1/2 years in jail.
Accused of selling drugs, Howard Jones’s attorney sought to lower
his client’s bail from $150,000 insisting that Jones would not think about
fleeing. At that very instant, Jones sprinted out of the front door of the
courtroom. He was caught fifty minutes later and his bail was raised to
$500,000.

Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty MCCLAIN COUNTY 21 | FEBRUARY 2019
Two 20-year-old women lost their jobs
after they allegedly tried to carry out a
plan to steal some vapes from their place
of employment.
They almost got away with it until they
got caught and lost their jobs.
According to reports, Newcastle police
were dispatched to a convenience store
on state Highway 9 West on November 21 to investigate the incident.
A supervisor at the store told officers that Maria Chantal Sorrells and Tralisa E.
Walker had cost the store $160 in their quest to get some vapes.
The supervisor said Walker took two vapes to the register on November 9, when
Sorrell was working. Sorrell rang up both vapes as $10 each, when they actually
cost $59.99 each. She also voided one of the transactions. The next day, the duo
repeated the crime with another $59.99 vape.
When officers reached out to the women, Walker admitted to taking part in stealing the vapes and offered to pay what they had stolen. Sorrells, on the other hand,
didn’t speak to police about the incident.
Both women are wanted for embezzlement and petit larceny. A warrant for their
arrest was issued on December 31.
If you know the whereabouts of Sorrells and/or Walker, please call the McClain
County Sheriff’s Office at (405) 527-2141.
