MOTORCYCLE MAN
CUFFED AFTER HIGH
SPEED PURSUIT
Pauls Valley man Dillon Cole Wood, 32, led police officers on a high-speed motor and foot pursuit on October 7.
The man had warrants out for his arrest, but he
just racked up some more charges in the pursuit.
According to reports, a Pauls Valley officer stopped Wood and his female
passenger for an expired tag and a defective brake light. Wood slowed down at
East and Jefferson, but he didn’t come to a complete stop.
The officer discovered that both people had warrants for their arrest.
When the officer told Wood that he was under arrest, Wood started messing
with the controls on the bike. He did not obey officer commands to get off the
bike. Instead, he accelerated the bike, throwing his female passenger to the
ground.
Police chased after Wood as he reached speeds up to 100 mph on East
Gardner. At one point, Wood passed another vehicle, forcing it into the ditch.
The officer’s vehicle overheated during the chase, however, Garvin County
deputies located Woods and continued the pursuit. Wood jumped off his motorcycle and ran into some nearby woods. He also allegedly tried to escape from
detention. He also kicked an officer and fought with officers near a convenience
store on the east side of Pauls Valley.
Wood is being charged with battery/assault and battery on a police officer,
escape from felony arrest or detention, and resisting an officer. His bond was
set at $10,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on November 17, 2023.

We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money
or favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting officer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.
Thank you and God Bless

LARGE SCALE BLACK MARKET
MARIJUANA GROWING
OPERATION BUSTED
A Burneyville man is facing multiple felony
charges after OBN agents raided a marijuana
farm suspected of supplying the black market.
Minghui Zeng, 48, was charged October 11
with aggravated manufacture of CDS/poss material with intent to manufacture and trafficking in illegal drugs, in Love County
District Court.
According to a press release by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, on Tuesday, October 10th, 2023, agents from the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN)
served a Search Warrant at a large marijuana farm in Love County tied to an
investigation into black market marijuana trafficking.
OBN Spokesman Mark Woodward says operators of the Harvesting Valley
LLC. farm at 25720 Batson Road, Burneyville, have been cultivating and trafficking large quantities of marijuana onto the black market.
“OBN Agents have conducted undercover purchases of marijuana from the
operators of this grow facility. These defendants have ties to the targets of a
marijuana trafficking investigation OBN conducted in 2022 that shut down Big
Buddha farm in Wilson, Oklahoma,” Woodward said.
Woodward added that agents seized 45,335 marijuana plants, over 700
pounds of processed marijuana, and made one arrest. Additional arrests are
expected as this investigation moves forward. In Addition, Woodward continued
to say that agents found unsanitary living conditions and fire hazards that jeopardize the health and safety of the workers at the facility.
OBN Director Donnie Anderson says OBN will continue to aggressively pursue
criminal trafficking organizations operating in Oklahoma.
“Over the past two years, my agency has created full-time Marijuana Enforcement Teams that have targeted not only the criminal organizations that operate
these farms, but also those entities that commit fraud to obtain medical marijuana business licenses for these criminals,” Anderson stated.
Zeng’s bond was set at $100,000 with the stipulation that he provides a copy
of his Green Card and doesn’t leave the state.
Since 2021, OBN has served over 800 Search Warrants, made more than 200
arrests, and seized nearly 700,000 pounds of marijuana as part of investigations
into businesses operating with a license obtained by fraud, trafficking marijuana
onto the black market, or both. If you have information about criminal drug activity, you can anonymously report it to OBN at 1-800-522-8031.

Two men who were involved in an Ardmore
home invasion are now behind bars after they
were released from the hospital.
Brenden Warren Chaat, 29, and Dalton Ray
Ramsdell, 24, were admitted to the hospital after the homeowner shot both of them when they
kicked down the door.
According to reports, the home invasion took
place on September 19.
Chaat and Ramsdell allegedly went to the residence in the 1200 block of 3rd Ave NE dressed
in body armor and camouflage. The men also had
guns.
The homeowner said he heard banging on his
door. When he opened it, one of the suspects
cocked the gun in his face. The man said he then
saw the armed suspects run to the back door.
They started threatening to kick the door down.
The homeowner grabbed his firearm.
When the suspects kicked the door down, the homeowner fired multiple
shots, hitting both suspects. He then held them at gunpoint until police arrived
at the scene.
Chaat and Ramsdell are being charged with conspiracy to commit burglary
in the first degree and burglary in the first degree. Chaat’s bond was set at
$500,000, and Ramsdell’s bond was set at $1 million.
They are both scheduled to appear in court on November 30, 3023.

16 | NOVEMBER 2023 MARSHALL COUNTY Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty
A DANGEROUS
SITUATION
A 30-year-old man allegedly assaulted a deputy
with a gun after he was under arrest for stealing a
trailer on October 6.
According to reports, a Marshall County deputy
was dispatched to a residence on Keaton Road
to investigate a trailer that had been reported stolen out of Bryan County. The
suspect was allegedly in a fifth-wheel trailer at the location. The deputy knocked
on the trailer several times.
Even though the deputy heard movement inside the trailer, no one responded
to the knock. He checked the truck that was hooked onto the trailer. The truck,
along with a 9mm pistol, had been reported stolen.
The deputy walked back to the trailer and saw a man later identified as Seth
Lee Hillard take off running. He caught up to the man. Hillard started resisting
and he fought back against the deputy, but the deputy was able to take Hillard
to the ground.
Hillard then pulled out a pistol from his waist and stuck the gun into the deputy’s stomach. The deputy was able to grab the gun and throw it out of Hillard’s
reach.
While investigating the incident, deputies discovered that pretty much everything in Hillard’s possession had been reported stolen. This included a stolen
truck, a stolen trailer, a stolen fifth wheel, $30,000 worth of stolen fireworks, two
stolen motorcycles, some wheels and tires, and other stolen items.
The man was also allegedly wanted by several agencies in Texas at the time
of his arrest.
Hillard is being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance,
possession of burglary tools, assault and battery on officer, two counts of feloniously pointing a firearm, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony,
and five counts of knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property.
His bond was set at $200,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on
November 17, 2023.

AROUND THE NATION
Holy guacamole!
A Richmond, Indiana, woman attempted to prevent police officers from searching her for drugs by faking a heart
attack, court documents reveal. The effort ended up being
in vain as jail staff later found an “avocado-size” sandwich
bag concealed in her privates that contained meth, fentanyl and crack cocaine.
Amanda Smith, 41, was arrested and charged with
dealing methamphetamine, a Level 2 felony; dealing in a
narcotic drug, a Level 2 felony; dealing in cocaine, a Level 3 felony, and dealing in a controlled
substance, a Level 6 felony.
This is the second time this summer Smith has been charged with multiple felony counts.
In early July, police accused Smith of luring a woman to a Richmond home under the guise
of selling her a ring. Instead, Smith allegedly assaulted the woman, punching her in the face
multiple times before stealing her wallet and phone.
Smith was arrested for the alleged assault and charged with robbery resulting in bodily
injury, a Level 3 felony, and criminal confinement, a Level 3 felony. She did not stay in jail long,
however, posting two separate cash bonds in July in order to be released from Wayne County
Jail — a move that would be repeated with her most recent charges.
Smith’s latest encounter with law enforcement occurred in September after a Wayne County
Sheriff’s deputy noted Smith interacting with known drug users at a Philipp 66 gas station in
Richmond. Being familiar with Smith, the deputy followed the woman’s vehicle and initiated a
traffic stop after Smith failed to use a turn signal and drove down the center of the road.
According to the deputy’s report, Smith would end up faking a heart attack after a K9 alerted
police to the presence of drugs. Smith reportedly began yelling and screaming that she was
having a heart attack but refused to let Richmond EMS hook her to monitors or give her a
medical evaluation.
After being taken to the hospital, Smith refused to change out of her clothes and insisted
on using the bathroom. Police believed Smith was concealing drugs and were aware that she
was likely trying to prevent herself from being searched while trying to find ways to dispose of
the hidden drugs.
Smith eventually agreed to change in the presence of nurses and admitted to having fentanyl hidden in her underwear. While changing, however, nurses spotted what appeared to be a
plastic sandwich bag concealed within her privates, documents detail.
According to the court documents, Smith continued to deny there was anything hidden
inside her even after the jail performed a body scan that showed an “abnormality in her pelvic
area.”
Eventually, Smith admitted to concealing drugs inside her privates and removed an “avocado-size plastic sandwich bag” from inside her, according to the documents.
Police ended up testing the contents of the bag and said 38.9 grams of meth, 10.4 grams
of crack cocaine and 9.2 grams of fentanyl — along with an untested fine white powder — had
been separately wrapped and shoved inside the plastic bag.
A search of Smith’s vehicle unveiled even more pills and substances including Gabapentin,
Naloxone and buprenorphine, court documents said. A ledger was also found in the vehicle
that contained names, weights, dollar amounts and drug types.
Police also found $5,845 in cash in Smith’s wallet and said four cell phones were seized
from the vehicle as evidence. According to the deputy’s report, three of the cell phones kept
ringing throughout the course of the investigation with calls coming in from known drug users.
Despite being charged with six felony counts over the last three months, Smith once again
posted bail after a brief stay at Wayne County Jail. Court records show Smith paid a $4,500
bond the day after her arrest (a $45,000 surety bond). In July, Smith paid two separate cash
bonds totaling $3,500 to avoid jail.

POSSESSION OF "'GLOCK
SWITCHES"' LEADS TO 65
MONTH SENTENCE IN FEDERAL
PRISON FOR PURCELL MAN
On October 5, Michael Adrian Allen Smith, 37, of Purcell,
was sentenced to serve 65 months in federal prison for illegally possessing a firearm after a previous felony conviction
and unlawful possession of machine guns, announced U.S.
Attorney Robert J. Troester.
On March 1, 2023, Smith was charged by information
with felon in possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of machine guns. According to an
affidavit filed in support of a criminal complaint, on February 10, 2023, a federal search warrant
was issued for Smith’s residence after probable cause was shown Smith was in possession of
ammunition. Smith is a convicted felon in the Superior Court of California, County of Riverside,
for possession of a controlled substance for sale by an armed person with a firearm. Agents with
the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives served the warrant, and found two
machine gun conversion devices commonly known as “Glock switches”, which enable a firearm
to fire more than one round for each pull of the trigger.
On March 22, 2023, Smith pleaded guilty to Counts 1 and 2. As part of his plea, Smith admitted to possession of two machine gun conversion kits, the possession of which is prohibited
under federal law.
At the sentencing hearing, U.S. District Judge Bernard M. Jones sentenced Smith to serve 65
months in federal prison. In announcing the sentence, the court noted Smith’s criminal history
which includes convictions for domestic violence offenses, and the illegal sale of firearms present in the community. STEVEN

I'LL BE WATCHING
YOU
A Kansas man has been indicted on Interstate
Stalking and Firearm charges after he allegedly
stalked his victim and was in possession of machine gun conversion kits.
On October 4, a federal grand jury returned a
five-count Indictment against Rigoberto Alexander Murillo, 44, of Wichita, Kansas, charging him with interstate stalking, interstate violation of protection order,
felon in possession of firearms, possession of unregistered firearms, and unlawful possession of a machine gun, announced U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester.
According to the Indictment, on or about August 7, 2023, Murillo traveled from
Sedgwick County, Kansas to McClain County, Oklahoma with the intent to harass another person. The Indictment further alleges Murillo traveled from Kansas
to Oklahoma with the intent to violate a Kansas protective order that prohibited
him from contacting the victim.
According to the Indictment, Murillo removed a victim’s license plate and battery from their vehicle. Murillo is also charged with (1) possession of firearms
after a prior felony conviction, (2) possession of unregistered firearms, and (3)
unlawful possession of two machine gun conversion kits, which modify firearms
to automatically shoot more than one shot by a single pull of the trigger.
Murillo will be arraigned in federal court on the charges. If found guilty of interstate stalking, interstate violation of protection order, possession of an unregistered firearm, or unlawful possession of a machine gun, he faces up to 10 years
in federal prison on each charge. If found guilty of being a felon in possession of
firearms, he faces up to 15 years in federal prison.
This case is the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco,
Firearms and Explosives, and the McClain County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant U.S.
Attorney Stan J. West is prosecuting the case.
This case is also part of “Operation 922.” Operation 922 is the Western District
of Oklahoma’s implementation of Project Safe Neighborhoods, the Department
of Justice’s signature initiative to reduce gun violence and enforce federal firearms laws. “Operation 922” prioritizes prosecution of federal crimes connected
to domestic violence.
