families in need in Kay County. All you have to do is
donate an unwrapped present to the Kay County Detention Center. You can turn in your toys to our reception
area at 1101 West Dry Road in Newkirk, OK.

An intoxicated Bartlesville man allegedly rammed
his car into a vehicle on November 17, and for some
reason, tried to hit a man with his car.
Steven Lee Teeter, 59, admitted to consuming drugs
and alcohol before he went around running into things
with his car.
According to the police report, a Bartlesville officer
was dispatched to the 500 block of NW Turner Place
shortly after 8 p.m. to investigate the incident. The
victim and some witnesses told the officer that Teeter
intentionally rammed his vehicle into a parked car. He
pushed the car through the garage door of a residence,
damaging the door. Teeter then threw his car into reverse and tried to hit the
victim, who was standing in the front yard.
Teeter was unsuccessful, but that didn’t mean he was done trying. He drove his
vehicle into a gas meter near the front porch of the residence, damaging it.
When the officer made contact with Teeter, he noticed the man smelled strongly like alcohol. Teeter told the officer that he had consumed 3 or 4 beers earlier
that day, and he had used meth two days before.
Teeter was placed under arrest and transported to jail.
Teeter is being charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon, driving
a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and other intoxicants, and
two counts of malicious injury under $1,000. His bond was set at $50,000, and
he is scheduled to appear in court on December 18, 2015.

We hear many times from people that the arresting
offi cer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.

Ralston man Caleb Noel Rice, 28, was arrested November 12 after he allegedly went on a meth-fueled
joyride and tore up a bunch of stuff.
An Osage County deputy was dispatched to the area
of CR 6050 around 5 p.m. The reporting party showed
him a bunch of damage that he believed Rice caused.
Lots of signs were knocked over, a ditch was damaged,
and some people’s yards were dug up.
Tire tracks were also all over the area. It was like
someone just jumped on a tractor and drove around,
seeing what they could tear up.
According to the affidavit, Rice’s parents contacted
police and told them their son was out of control. They said he took a tractor and
damaged signs in the area around his house, and after his out-of-control tractor
ride, they hid the tractor and keys from their son.
The deputy went to Rice’s residence and found the man’s truck parked on top
of a large pile of dirt and gravel. It appeared that a tractor had dug up some areas
in the yard, and tire tracks in the yard matched the tracks found near the damaged signs.
Rice was standing in his front yard. The deputy asked him if he was the person
who had caused all the damage with a tractor.
Rice said he was just taking care of things.
The suspect’s pupils were dilated, he was sweating profusely, and his jaw movements were uncontrolled. It appeared he was under the influence of meth.
The deputy told Rice he was under arrest, but Rice refused to put his hand
behind his back. A brief struggle ensued and Rice took off running. He ran in his
house and slammed the door. The deputy eventually got the man to answer the
door, but Rice still refused to follow officer commands.
Another struggle happened and Rice once again took off running. Deputies
eventually caught up to him and placed him in handcuffs.
Rice is being charged with two counts of malicious injury to property over
$1,000, three counts of obstructing public road, four counts of defacing road
signs, malicious injury to property under $1,000 and resisting an officer. His
bond was set at $100,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on December
10, 2015.

Oklahoma Game Warden Lieutenant
Jamie Cole of Pawnee County, was investigating a complaint on waterfowl hunters in a remote area on Keystone Lake on
November 8. Lt. Cole was in position to
observe multiple groups of hunters early
that morning.
With very few ducks or geese around
for the opener of zone 2, two hunters laid
into a flock of American Avocets as they
flew by. The shooters dropped and recovered six birds.
When contacted by Warden Cole, the
suspects claimed it was their first time to
waterfowl hunt and thought they were shooting teal. Citations were issued for illegal taking
of migratory birds.
Warden Cole checked a different pair of waterfowl hunters at the same location. One of
those hunters did not have any license or stamps in his possession. Citations were issued accordingly. Please take the time to read the waterfowl regulations before going afield. If you
