The embezzlement case against former Blackwell Trust
Manager Jerry Eubanks, 56, and his 47-year-old wife, Sherry
Eubanks, was finalized in early December after he pleaded no
contest to the charges.
According to reports, Jerry was hired for the position in April
2021.
On May 4, 2024, an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation agent was contacted regarding an investigation into embezzlement. On July 5, 2021, Jerry asked the administrative secretary to prepare two
purchase orders. One purchase order was for a Lamar trailer, and the other one was for
a Kohler generator and transfer switch. Together, the purchase orders totaled $32,500.
Jerry asked that the payment for the purchase orders be made to Sharon Luttrell of
TCJ Oilfield Service.
The supervisor of the Blackwell Electric Department denied signing the invoices. He
also said that the electronic department did not receive the items.
Luttrell told police that Sherry contacted her and said she and Jerry had a generator
they couldn’t sell to the city of Blackwell. They needed to list Luttrell as the seller and she
would receive part of the proceeds from the sale.
On August 22, 2021, Luttrell met with the couple and received the check that Jerry told
her she could cash at RCB bank. When Luttrell tried to cash the $32,000 check, however,
she was informed that the bank didn’t have enough funds to cash it. Jerry asked her to
deposit the check into her account and refund the couple. Luttrell kept $5,500 and wrote
a $9,900 check to Sherry and two checks to Jerry in the amounts of $7,200.
As far as the Lamar trailer, during the investigation, it was discovered that the trailer
sold to the city of the Blackwell was owned by Jerry.
Jerry Eubanks pleaded no contest to the charges of embezzlement, conspiracy, and
obtaining property by deception. He was sentenced to a 5-year suspended prison sentence and was ordered to pay $33,250 in restitution.
The charges against Sherry Eubanks were dismissed without cost due to the interest
of justice. VIVIAN

TRAIN VS. MUSTANG -- Driver arrested for DUI
On December 14, just before 2:00 a.m., Officers responded to a call of a Ford Mustang Convertible on the
tracks in the area near 100 S. Guthrie Avenue.
The driver of the Mustang, 22-year-old Cody Tungate, later admitted to Officers that he left a car meet
event commonly known as a “Street Takeover”.
Several citizens observed Tungate attempting to
drive the convertible from the tracks, and said they had
to drag him from the vehicle as a train was rapidly approaching. At the same
time, another individual attempted to drive the vehicle from the tracks but was
unsuccessful.
The oncoming train was unable to stop in time and collided with the car, likely
totaling the vehicle. No one was injured.
Cody Tungate displayed multiple signs of intoxication and was arrested for DUI
and Transporting an Open Container.
This is an arrest, not a conviction.

BIG BROTHER IS
WATCHING
A 36-year-old Skiatook man has been charged
with child sex crimes after a cyber tip led detectives
to investigate his nefarious deeds.
According to a press release from the Skiatook
Police Department, on August 29, 2024, SKPD received an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC)
Cyber tip by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) via the National Center for Missing
and Exploited Children (NCMEC). This cyber tip was made by an Electronic Service
Provider (ESP) and the incident type was listed as Child Pornography.
Given all the information provided in the cyber tip, in addition to the information
gathered during the investigation, the suspect was identified as Jeffrey Allen Hawk.
After conducting numerous search warrants, Detectives reviewed all the information provided and viewed each image/video shared from the suspect’s ESP
account and noted that there were at least 59 separate instances of the suspect
sharing child sexual exploitation material (CSAM) in the form of video and/or photo
image.
A warrant was submitted for approval by the Osage County District Attorney’s
Office and was quickly approved on December 19, 2024, for the charges of Possession/Distribution of Child Pornography and
Violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.
On December 19, 2024, Jeffrey Hawk was arrested on that felony warrant during
a traffic stop in the City of Skiatook and transported to the Osage County Jail.
Bond for Hawk was set at $150,000 and he was ordered to appear in court on
January 7, 2025, for arraignment. BENITA

Sure, going to the tag agency can sometimes
be frustrating, but…
A 44-year-old Bartlesville man took his frustration to the next level when he got tired of
waiting and allegedly head-butted a female employee.
According to reports, the Bartlesville tag
agency called the police after Brian Ray Grigg
assaulted the employee. When officers arrived
at the location, they spoke with the victim who
alleged that Grigg head-butted her because things were taking too long.
Officers watched camera footage and saw Grigg lunge at the employee
and head-butt her.
Grigg is being charged with assault and battery. His bond was set at
$10,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on January 8, 2025.

SHENANIGANS
TYLER, Texas (KLTV/Gray News) - Texas authorities arrested
at least two men involved in a $400,000 scheme to steal Lego
sets from Walmart and Target stores across four states and resell
them online.
Brian Keith Fleming, 33, and Ladarion Dontre Anderson, 33,
were arrested. According to an affidavit, the scheme involves 10
people and has operated for at least two years.
On Oct. 14, 2022, a trooper noticed 19 unopened Cricut machines during a traffic stop, and according to the affidavit, the
driver could not explain why they were in the car or where the
machines came from.
The driver was arrested for an outstanding warrant and the
trooper reached out to Walmart and Target to determine if the
machines were stolen.
Authorities obtained a search warrant for two cell phones that
were in the car and the text history on those devices helped them
launch an investigation that crossed state borders.
The phones revealed conversations about stealing Cricut machines to sell to a third person at a cut rate, according to the affidavit. The texts also mentioned doing the same with Lego sets.
The United States postal inspector ran an investigation on the
buyer, who was reportedly paying cash for the items and then
reselling them on Amazon, eBay and other online platforms, according to the affidavit.
On March 14, a special agent in Texas was assigned to the case and learned from an Amazon
investigator that the seller had handed over a number of invoices for Lego sets that named Fleming
directly.
The investigation revealed that Fleming and Anderson were working together with a circle of five
“shoppers” to steal the sets from stores across Texas, the affidavit says.
Fleming and Anderson were caught on Walmart surveillance video walking down the Lego aisle
before buying a handful of other items, all in the $1 to $2 range.
The document says one of the five shoppers would then go into the store and put a matching
number of Lego sets into a cart before walking past the registers and out the door.
If stopped, they would show the receipt for the items Fleming or Anderson had bought, with
the names and prices changed. Investigators identified this pattern after detaining several of the
shoppers.
The affidavit says Walmart and Target investigators estimated the combined total value of the
items stolen to be over $400,000.
Invoices from the reseller show more than 500 Lego sets were resold at or below half of the market price over just four months in 2024.
Fleming and Anderson have both been charged with engaging in organized criminal activity and
theft over $300,000.
The arrest documents show over 273 individual thefts, mainly from stores across Texas, but also
in Oklahoma, Florida and Pennsylvania.
