OBSTRUCTING OFFICER domestic a&B reckless driving BURGLARY - SECOND DEGREE
Ponca City man Aaron Ashton Keith Holt, 20, admitted to breaking into 15-20 vehicles the morning of
May 29 because he lost a lot of money at the casino.
According to the affidavit, a man contacted Ponca
City Police shortly after 5 a.m. He said he lived in the
900 block of S. Sixth Street. His wife texted him and
asked where her I-Pod was while she was driving to
work. The man walked outside to look for it in his truck.
He immediately saw that someone had broken into his
vehicle. He was missing a clear beaded necklace, an
I-Pod, two watches and a flashlight.
Around 5 a.m., an officer patrolling westbound in the
800 block of Houston Avenue saw a white truck traveling eastbound with no
lights on. The officer turned his patrol car around to follow the truck, but the
driver accelerated at a high rate of speed. He turned northbound onto 9th
Street and turned on the headlights.
When the officer turned onto 9th, he saw the suspect jump out of the rolling
truck and take off running. The truck continued to roll until hitting a building in
the 900 block of SE Avenue.
Police found the man lying in some thick brush in the 900 block of S. 9th.
When an officer asked him what his name was, he identified himself as Holt.
The officer found a pink I-Pod in his pocket.
During an inventory of the man’s truck, police located some pills with a
scratched label, two watches, a clear beaded necklace and a pink I-Pod
charger.
At the jail, the I-Pod started ringing. When Holt heard it, he started to cry.
He agreed to speak to police. He told officers he broke into 15-20 cars that
morning because “[he] lost a whole bunch of money at the casino.” He admitted to stealing the watches, pills and the I-Pod from various vehicles.
Holt is being charged with burglary in the first degree, knowingly concealing
stolen property, larceny of CDS and eluding/attempting to elude police officer.
He was released on a $20,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on
June 24, 2016.

Summer is here and many children are
now home alone with Internet-capable
devices. The Oklahoma Internet Crimes
Against Children Task Force wants parents
to exercise caution when allowing children
to use those devices.
In 2015, nearly 1,000 instances of child
sexual exploitation were reported to the
OSBI through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s Cybertipline,
with each case involving the use of computers, apps, chats, or social media.
Parents are urged to consider the following tips:
• Monitor your child’s usage of electronic devices such as cell phones, tablets, readers, web cams, and laptops, as well as their usage of apps, games,
and social media accounts. Do not allow this usage to be private. Instead,
children should use these in open areas of the home, such as the living room
or kitchen.
• Although strangers are a threat, oftentimes children are exploited by people they know. A large number of child pornography images are taken by the
children themselves and sent to others they know or think they know.
• Utilize device and software parental controls, as well as safety features
available for your children’s devices and apps. Parents are also encouraged to
communicate openly about online activity with their children.
Young people should be able to identify risky behavior and know what to do
if something bad happens. It is important parents and guardians remain approachable about this topic – kids should never fear a parent’s reaction more
than they fear the misbehavior and/or consequences of people online.
Ask your child:
• Where do you spend most of your time online?
• What is your favorite app or video game right now?
• Who do you game or communicate with the most?
• How do you decide who gets to follow or friend you?
• What do you share, post, download, upload, and view?
• Can I review your profile with you?
• What would you do if you encounter behavior or communication that
makes you uncomfortable?
If your child is the victim of sexual misconduct online or you observe this type
of behavior, immediately report the incident to www.cybertipline.com, the OSBI,
or local law enforcement.

A 20-year-old Dewey woman allegedly attacked a
Pawhuska officer and resisted being arrested during an
alcohol and drug-fueled party on Blue Stem Lake on
June 20.
Hope Rashell Giovinazzo also referred to officers as
“pigs” several times.
A Pawhuska officer was dispatched to the falls area
of the lake shortly after 8 p.m. to investigate the reports
of a party, according to the affidavit. When he arrived,
he saw several people standing in a circle.
One of the women, later identified as Giovinazzo,
looked at a man and said, “cop.” When the man saw
the officer, he threw something under his leg.
The officer told the group to start cleaning up the beer cans and trash in the
area. He then made contact with the man who threw something under his leg.
When the officer placed the man in handcuffs, Giovinazzo ran in front of him
and started to verbally attack him. She pushed the officer’s hands away. When
the officer warned her that she was going to be arrested if she didn’t stop, she
replied, “F--- you. You cannot do s---, you fat pig.”
The officer requested backup and noticed that the woman smelled like alcohol and was unsteady on her feet. She continued to push the officer away
from the man.
The officer tried to grab her, but she slapped his hand away and took off
running up a hill. As she was running up, another officer was running down. He
grabbed the woman but struggled to get her under control. She pushed and
fought against the officer. Police eventually placed her under arrest.
After Giovinazzo had been placed in handcuffs, she stood up and attempted
to knock down the officer. He made her sit back down on the ground. She
started screaming and cussing and told officers, “I will be out tonight, fat pics.”
The enraged woman had to be carried to the patrol car, staying true to her
statement of “F--- you. I’m not going anywhere.”
Giovinazzo is being charged with assault and battery on a police officer,
obstructing officer and resisting an officer. Her bond was set at $12,000, and
she is scheduled to appear in court on August 4, 2016.

For a trio of drug thieves, it was their lucky day. They broke into a home in
Silver Springs, Florida, and discovered three jars of cocaine. They took it home
and snorted the contents. That’s when they discovered that the jars were in
fact urns, and that they were snorting the cremains of the victim’s husband
and two dogs.
When an attempted robbery at a Lowes Home Improvement store went
awry, Milton J. Hodges fled across the street and jumped a fence … right into
the Cypress Cove Nudist Resort & Spa. As the Orlando Sentinel pointed out,
“As one of the only folks wearing clothing,” Hodges was easily spotted by
police.
It’s the worst possible time to faint—in the middle of robbing a bank. But
that’s what happened to a Beavercreek, Ohio, thief. The teller called 911 and
asked for medics. But you have to applaud the man’s stick-to-it-iveness. While
the ambulance was en route, the suspect handed a note to the teller demanding all her cash.
The victim’s jewelry was missing, the electronics were gone, and a window
was smashed. No wonder she was hysterical when officer Charanjit Meharu of
the Calgary police arrived. Then her French-speaking father called. Speaking
in French, she explained that it was all a scam in order to get the insurance
money. What she didn’t suspect was that Officer Meharu speaks six languages, including French.
A 12-year-old boy adamantly denied having stolen an iPhone when questioned by police at his home. And then the iPhone rang in his closet. Okay, yes,
he stole that. But as for the Blackberry he was also accused of stealing, he
double-adamantly denied… *RING!!*

Is that a knife up your crotch or are you just
happy to see me isn’t a usual line people say.
But, 49-year-old Mannford woman Johnna
Louise Ozbun would have to answer, “It’s a
knife.”
Well, on June 7 anyways.
According to the police report, Pawnee
County deputies and Mannford police officers took Ozbun into custody shortly after 10
p.m. after they were advised she had a warrant out of Pawnee County. She happened to
be at a residence where police were investigating an assault.
Officers had to take the woman down to
the ground to get her under control.
After she was cleared by medical personnel for injuries, a deputy took her to jail. Before pulling into the parking lot, he asked her
if she had any kind of contraband on her person.
She said no.
Technically, she wasn’t lying.
During booking, a detention officer located a knife in the woman’s vaginal area. The officer said the woman was uncooperative during booking and
wouldn’t listen to instructions. By her hand movements, it was obvious she
was trying to hide something in her hoohah.
She refused to squat and cough, but finally revealed to the officer that she
had a weapon hiding in her lady parts.
She refused to remove it.
An officer grabbed the woman’s arm to turn her around, and Ozbun grabbed
the knife and threw it in her property bin.
Once she was placed in a cell, she took off her pants and put her foot in the
toilet, flushing it several times.
Ozbun is being charged with bringing contraband into jail/penal institution.
Her bond was set at $10,000, and she is scheduled to appear in court on
June 21, 2016.

Bartlesville man Roger Fredrick Burrow,
36, was locked up on June 11 because he
allegedly kicked his brother down the stairs
during a “heated argument.”
So much for brotherly love!
According to the police report, a Bartlesville officer was dispatched to the 100 block
of NW Santa Fe Avenue shortly after 1 p.m.
to help some emergency medical personnel who requested an officer’s assistance.
When he arrived, he met with the firefighters who were already on scene.
The firefighters advised the officer that
the victim they were dispatched to assist
had a broken leg. The victim had told firefighters that his brother kicked him down
the stairs.
The officer saw the victim lying on the ground next to the house. His
right ankle appeared to be broken or severely dislocated.
Before the officer had a chance to talk to the victim, he saw Burrow
walking down the outside steps of the residence. He told the officer
the victim was his brother and they lived together at the house. He
explained that he and his brother started arguing about something,
and the altercation became “heated.” The verbal squabble soon turned
physical.
Burrow admitted to the officer that he kicked his brother down the
stairs during the argument, breaking the man’s leg.
The officer placed the man under arrest and transported him to jail.
Burrow is being charged with aggravated assault and battery. He
was released on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court
on July 1, 2016.

Don’t you hate it when you suffer a heart attack and think you’re going to die,
so you confess to a 17-year-old murder, only to find out you’re not going to
die and then get sentenced to life in prison as a result? Yeah, so does James
Washington, of Nashville, because it happened to him.
Following a dispute, Craig Aylesworth, of Bithlo, Florida, allegedly tossed a
Molotov Cocktail at his neighbor’s trailer home … just as the winds shifted,
sending embers on to his own trailer. Luckily, he was arrested, since he no
longer had a home of his own to return to.
A San Francisco thief pedaled his bike up to a woman on the sidewalk,
snatched the iPhone out of her hands, and rode away. Unknown to him, the
woman was in the middle of demonstrating the iPhone’s new GPS tracking
device, which worked—the thief was captured minutes later.
Anthony Kenneth Mastrogiovanni was impersonating a police officer when
he pulled over another car for speeding. The driver quickly sussed out that
Mastrogiovanni was fibbing since he, too, was a cop, but in his case, the kind
of cop who doesn’t have to pretend he’s a cop because he really is a cop.
Mastrogiovanni was arrested for impersonating a police officer.
How convenient! Only a few months earlier, an Iowa City, Iowa, man had his
driver’s license stolen. Then who should show up at the bar where he worked
as a bouncer, but the thief brandishing the bouncer’s very own license as his
form of ID.
Is there no honor among thieves? While two suspects were being questioned by Ogden, Utah, police about shoplifting from a store, someone broke
into their car and stole a stereo and several other items.
