Dixey
Ponca City John Richard Dixey, 48, allegedly broke
into a home the morning of March 19.
He didn’t steal anything, however -- he just peed,
threw away a beer bottle, and chugged some vodka.
According to the police report, a woman contact
police shortly after noon because she realized someone had been in her home. She told a Ponca City officer that she left her home in the 400 block of N. 11th
Street around 11 a.m., and when she returned, she
noticed someone had been inside, because her couch
had been moved and the back door was kicked in. The
toilet was also running as if someone had just used it.
The woman then saw a man walking away from her neighbor’s house; it seemed
like he had been trying to break into that home too.
The alleged burglar was carrying a case of beer.
The woman went back inside to see if he had taken anything from her house.
She noticed her freezer “had been gone through,” and the burglar drank all of her
whipped cream vodka. The empty bottle was in the trash.
Some coffee liqueur had also been taken out of the freezer, but it didn’t appear
that the man had messed with that.
There was an empty beer bottle in the trash -- the woman said she didn’t drink
that kind of beer.
At least he was a considerate burglar and threw away his trash.
Other than that, the woman’s house appeared to be untouched.
While looking for the suspect, police found a beer box full of bottles in an alley
in the 400 block of N. 11th. An officer found Dixey wandering around the area.
The victim positively identified him as the man she had seen walking away from
her neighbor’s house.
The beer found in the alley also matched the bottle found in her trash.
Dixey is being charged with burglary in the second degree. His bond was set at
$15,000, and he is schedule to appear in court on June 5, 2015.
He just needed to
make a pit stop!

Bartlesville man Damion Cyle Bordelon, 22, allegedly crashed
a car intentionally because he was mad at one of the passengers.
Fortunately, no one was seriously injured, but Bordelon is facing felony charges of assault and obstruction.
According to the police report, a Washington County deputy
was dispatched to the scene of an accident on the north side of
3000 Road around 1 a.m. on April 4. When he arrived, he saw a
black car slammed up against the guardrail. The driver and passenger airbags were deployed, but there was no one in the car.
The deputy also noticed that the passenger seat was close to
the dashboard, but the driver’s seat was fully extended back.
Some people on scene told the deputy that had given the occupants of the vehicle
rides away from the accident.
When the deputy made contact with some of the occupants, they told him Bordelon
was driving and a woman was in the front passenger seat. Bordelon and the woman
had been fighting all evening, until Bordelon apparently couldn’t take it anymore.
The victims, who both had noticeable injuries, told the deputy the collision was intentional -- the deputy couldn’t find any skid marks on the road that proved otherwise.
The deputy then went to Bordelon’s home, where he made contact with the woman
who had been riding shotgun in Bordelon’s car. When he asked her who had been
driving, she told him his question was “irrelevant.”
When the deputy asked Bordelon, he said the woman had been driving. Bordelon
was 6’1”, and the woman was 5’4”.
Due to witness statements and the position of the seats in the car, the deputy placed
Bordelon under arrest and took him to jail.
Bordelon is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and
obstructing officer. His bond was set at $20,000, and he was scheduled to appear in
court on April 17, 2015.

OK Jailbirds is cooperating with the efforts of Oklahoma Department of Human Services to impact the huge
social problem of irresponsible parents who are not paying the child supports ordered by our courts.
If these biological-only parents won’t honor the courts order, perhaps public shame will get their attention.
If you know how to reach any of the Deadbeat Parents found on this page, please call the Oklahoma Department of Human Services
Child Support HotLine at 1-800-522-8014
Importance of Child Support
Children are our future and child support helps make sure they
have a chance at a productive life. Children have the right to get
support from both parents and do not lose this right when a
parent leaves the home.
When children do not receive child support, they can:
Suffer both Emotionally and Physically
Live within a Reduced Standard of Living
Have their Basic Needs Unmet
Become Non-Supportive when they become Parents.
When one or both parents do not support their children,
taxpayers often pay the cost of raising children. When children
receive public assistance and their parents pay no child support,
all taxpayers bear the cost of supporting the children.

By Lt. Jeff James
Oklahoma Highway Patrol
Its no coincidence that in the
very first Tips From a Trooper
article I wrote about Oklahoma’s
Move Over law. It is one of the single most important laws on
the books for the safety of our Emergency Response professionals
as they do their jobs on and around the roads of Oklahoma. Due
to several recent incidents, I want to re-introduce everyone to
this law! I’m talking Oklahoma State Statute Title 47, Chapter
11-314: Approaching a stationary emergency vehicle, wrecker, or
tow vehicle displaying flashing lights. What this law states is that
when approaching an emergency vehicle such as a law enforcement
vehicle, ambulance, fire truck, wrecker or tow truck, which has its
emergency lights activated (red and blue lights, or any combination
of), you, the courteous driver, shall do the following:
On roadways with more than one lane traveling in the same
direction, you shall move to the adjacent lane if possible. This
means if you have two lanes available to you, when you approach
an emergency vehicle with lights activated, you will move from the
lane closest to the emergency vehicle to the lane farthest away from
the emergency vehicle, provided you can do so safely. Usually this
will be from the right hand lane to the left hand lane, because the
most common occurrence of this will be when you are passing a
Trooper or other Law Enforcement Officer who has a driver stopped
on the shoulder of the roadway. If you are not able to change lanes
to move away from the emergency vehicle, perhaps because there is
already a car occupying that lane next to you, then you shall reduce
your speed and proceed with caution.
On roadways that have only one lane of travel for each direction,
in other words, your basic two lane highway or road, you are
required to simply reduce your speed in your lane and proceed with
caution.
If you are found in violation of this law, the fine currently is
$211.50.
Just this year, we have had several Troopers hit, and Trooper
Nicholas Dees lost his life while working an accident on I-40 to a
distracted driver who did not obey this law. Trooper Keith Burch
was seriously injured in the same tragic accident, and has a long
recovery ahead. Most recently, Trooper Gary Sanders was hit while
on a traffic stop by another distracted driver, and nearly lost his
life. Aside from being a law, this just makes common sense. Part
of being a safe and courteous driver means looking out for others
on or near the roadway. Pay attention and MOVE OVER or SLOW
DOWN, those are some easy things to do to put emergency service
professionals at ease! Thanks for reading, buckle up and please
drive safe!

What you’re saying
about this on...
Sarah S: I was at work. The Federal Employees Credit Union was my banking institution. On April 18, I called Kathy and told her to mail me a check. That afternoon I called
her back and told her to hold it and I would drive up from Anadarko and be there by 9:00
am to pick it up. I normally just have them mail it but I thought if I left around 7:30 I would
get there, pick it up and head back home. On April 19, I went to work at 6:00 am and told
my manager I needed to leave around 7:30. No later than 8:00. He said okay, but he asked
if I would do a short task before I left. I got detained and lost track of time. I called Kathy
and told her I would be a few minutes late. She said “no problem” she would hold it for me.
Next thing I knew, people in the office were all talking about the catastrophe. I just slowly
sat down in the nearest chair and started crying. I’ll never forget that day or all my FECU
friends.
Sara B: I was in Elementary school and we felt the blast from Yukon!
Brad F: Senior in high school at Putnam City North I was a library aide that hour.
It set off all the alarms on the cars in the parking lot. Stayed in library all day watching on
television
Angie W: I was a Junior at Enid High...the mood of the entire school was incredibly somber.
Brianda K: That is my birthday. I was 2 months pregnant with my daughter.....I
turned on the t.v. and that was on the news....what a sad day.
Chris C: I was in 5th grade at Highland Park in Del City, it sounded like really loud
Thunder..
Sandra J: Working at Daylight Donuts in Bristow when I heard. I was very sad
because I knew many of those that worked in that building and lost their lives. I had previously worked for a CPA firm just a few blocks away. It is a day I will never forget.
Latonia T: Sylversteon, Dalton and Kelley’s surgical office NW 63rd and Independence. Just got a patient out of surgery and turned on the O2 when the bomb went off!
Thought someone had driven through the front of our building. That’s how close it felt.
David S: I was in 6th grade standing in line in the hallway at school waiting for gym
class. I was standing next to the cafeteria and felt the boom. I heard the windows and pots
and pans rattling. We all thought it was Tinker Air Force base. Was we wrong.
Erich R: In Edmond at my house when it woke me up and and then went to assist
Kelly O: I was 8 months pregnant vacuuming my car out in the front yard and felt
it and heard the boom of it over the vacuum......the bombing happened the day after my
birthday.
Angela P: I was in the 6th grade and was talking to a friend about his mom because
she was suppose to go up there but didn’t!!!
Frank K: I was late for work that day and just barely caught it on the news as I was
leaving. I made light of it when I got to work when I was asked why I was late. I said I was
setting off a bomb. No one knew what I was talking about nor did they know I was joking.
I know. I shouldn’t have joked about it, but that’s my memory of that day.
Kevin G: Watching t.v with my grandma eating breakfast. I was 17
It’s been 20 years since the
Murrah Federal Building in
Oklahoma City was destroyed
by an act of domestic terrorism. 168 lives were lost and
thousands were affected.

you doing on April 19, 1995,

what were you doing?
(We had a tremendous response to this poll; thanks to everyone who shared
their story! Sorry we could not print all of them, but if you would like to read
them all, go to our Facebook page OKJailbirds.)
Joseph C: I was in 6th grade and we herd it all the way in elk city made us stay in
school longer that day but classes stopped, we watched the news too
Korie S: I was in my mommas belly..
Kimberly G: I was 23 I woke up to feed my three week old and I turn the TV on
and saw people running from the building. And the rest of the day and week in shock with
the rest of the world. Such a tragic sad time. I will never forget that day.
Jennifer D: In 3rd grade and also the day my grandpa got diagnosed with lung
cancer
Terrie D: I was in 10th grade. I had stayed home from school that day. I remember
it like it was yesterday, we sat glued to the tv.
Mylisa L: I was at Chickasha vo-tec taking a can class a day I will never forget.
Tammy J: I was on I 40 with my ex-husband griping him out because he was late
for work was supposed to be at work at 9 o’clock right on six street he was late about five
minutes so we got downtown didn’t know what was going on and if he would’ve been on
time I would have been turning in front of the murha building but God had other plans we
were stuck there all day
Shannon D: Freshman in high school in history class...
Katrina C: 8th grade English class if I can remember correctly.
Amy C: I was in 11th grade at PCN in child development. We thought a tire exploded
in the parking lot! Wish that was the real reason!
Misty V: Was a junior in high school sitting the library getting ready to head to OKC
for State vocal competition. They postponed for a week. My dad and his best friend were in
the Air National Guard. They were sent down to help guard. They got to take off
Dennis B: I was in the III Corps HQ building at Ft. Hood, writing my section’s
OPORDERS for an upcoming FIELDEX...
Carolyn J: Working at Ethan Allen plant and the whole plant shut down.
Katie W: At work in Wagoner, not realizing my dad had a 9:00 appt in the bldg but
as usual he was late, I thank God for his habit of running late & never complained again
about him being late for anything.
Bobbi L: I was at work and my manager was in Oklahoma City headed to his moms
and called me and told me something had just exploded down on Robinson Ave. So turned
on the radio and found out what had taken place!!!!
Carolyn B: I was in kindergarten. We heard the bomb go off. Everyone ran to the
window but couldn’t see what happened. Eventually someone came and told my teacher. I
remember the look on her face. I was to young to really understand though the severity of
what happened.
Connie R: I was work at Ventures dept store listen to the jack ogovee show on talk
radio KWHN in Fort Smith at and the station just went quite then than came on and said
there sister station in ok had got blow up
Randi H: I was in 3rd grade, I remember it very clearly. We were supposed to be
having a field trip to the Cowboy Hall of Fame that week and it was cancelled! I can remember being disappointed about it being cancelled until I got home and watched the news all
evening about the bombing!
Traci J: In a college class. 22 yrs old. The professor said it wasn’t a tragedy and we
shouldn’t be so upset. People due every day and just because they do it at once doesn’t
make it a tragedy. Most of the class got up and left. He was a jerk and I remember it like it
was yesterday. Such a horrible waste if life. It was a tragedy.
Michael L: I was watching it on TV and wondering whom the government was
going to point the finger at for it.
Courtney L: i was a sophomore in HS. we didnt hear about it until at lunchtime
and only hear about a bomb. we didnt realize the devastation that had actually happened;
we thought it was more like one had been found. Our jr prom was held on the one year anniversary and was very somber.
Daniel C: I was playing in a school golf tournament at Trosper Park. We didn’t
know what happened until later that day. I’ll never forget.
Rod R: I was going thru Okarche Oklahoma and felt it in my car
Nina M: I was 24 and lived in a apartment at 122nd and penn. I was asleep and the
pictures on the wall where shaking woke me up. I did not know what was going on until I
went to work. We spent the day in shock and worry.
Robert S: On the interstate in Washington state, radio said an explosion and smoke
in Oklahoma city. Later to find out the whole story

A Sand Springs woman who couldn’t seem to stay away from
the bright lights of the casino was arrested after she chugged a
bottle of liquor in front of a police officer.
Linda Ann Horn, 49, was banned from an Osage casino, but that
didn’t stop her from trying to get lucky! Or drunk.
On April 16, an Osage Nation police officer was dispatched to
the casino shortly after midnight due to a “banned” guest at the
establishment, according to the affidavit. When he arrived, he
made contact with Horn and asked her what she was doing. Her
reply? An extremely slurred, “Nothing, what are you doing?”
The officer noticed Horn seemed drunk -- she smelled strongly
of alcohol and her eyes were red and watery. But when he asked
her how much she had had to drink, she said, “None ya.”
The officer and Horn walked outside so they could talk, but Horn kept trying to walk away.
He asked her for identification, but when she put her hand in her purse, she didn’t pull out
an ID. Horn pulled out a bottle of whiskey and “quickly chugged” what was left in the bottle.
She then threw the bottle when the officer tried to take it away from her.
The whiskey swiggin’ woman was placed under arrest and transported to jail. Once they
were at the jail, Horn started acting crazy and had to be placed in a restraint chair.
Horn is being charged with public intoxication. Her bond was set at $500, and she is scheduled to appear in court on April 23, 2015.
Whiskey bent and jail bound

Registered Sex Offenders for The Area
FACT:
It helps the victim to talk
about the abuse.
True. The victim’s recovery will
be enhanced if she or he feels
believed, supported, protected, and
receives counseling following the
disclosure that s/he was assaulted.
However, sexual assault victims
should always have the choice
about when, with whom, and
under what conditions they wish to
discuss their experiences.
The sex offenders

of all offenders in
these counties; we
will be publishing
more in each
month’s issue.

A Pawnee man caught with some stuff that didn’t belong to him
told police he won it from a guy in a pool game.
Unfortunately for him, the victim didn’t know what the heck he
was talking about.
On March 29, 24-year-old Sundance Warrior was arrested at a
Pawnee bar around 11 p.m. Apparently, he had been kicked out of
the establishment because he BYOB’d, and the bartender wasn’t OK
with that.
Before police took him into jail, they searched him for illegal items.
They found a knife, a multi-tool, some casino players club cards, an
electric bill and an insurance card. The cards and bill had a man’s
name on them, but Warrior told police he didn’t know who the man
was. The multi-tool was in a case with the same man’s initials on it.
Warrior later said he won the cards from the guy in a pool game. He also told police the
knife was his, and that he had it for protection. The multi-tool, however, didn’t belong to him.
According to the affidavit, police returned to the bar shortly after 1 a.m. to see if they could
locate the owner of the items found on Warrior. They found the man, and he said some of
the items were in a bag in the console of his car. When police found the man’s vehicle, they
discovered the driver’s door was open. The man also told police he was missing a knife; when
he described it, officers realized Warrior had been lying about his “protection” knife.
Warrior is being charged with burglary in the second degree and petit larceny. His bond
was set at $5,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on April 28, 2015.
It’s in the cards

When a mugger tried to rob her friend, 92-year-old Eileen Mason just
had her mobility scooter – and her no-nonsense attitude.
Eileen and 75-year-old Margaret Seabrook, both from Swindon, Wiltshire, England, were returning home from a lunch club meeting when a
thief appeared from behind a fence and eyed up the contents of Margaret’s basket.
But the robber didn’t know who he was dealing with.
‘Oh no you don’t!’ was Eileen’s battle cry as she accelerated on her
scooter.
The would-be thief ‘went flying’, said Eileen, who has four children, 10
grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
‘We went through the war and all the bombings. We won’t let a weasel
like that hold us back.’
Crocs plastic shoes left tread marks that helped link a 22-year-old
Fairbanks man to downtown burglaries, authorities said.
The owner of a building where some break-ins occurred provided surveillance footage to police, who posted it on the department’s Facebook
page. Roland Huntington Grace name was among several mentioned by
tipsters, according to authorities.
According to the court documents, Grace wore Crocs during a police
interview and the shoes matched the tread pattern found at the scene.
Grace faces charges of burglary, theft and criminal mischief in connection with the burglaries reported earlier this month, the Fairbanks Daily
News-Miner newspaper reported.
Online court records don’t have an attorney listed for him. Charging
documents say Grace admitted to the burglaries.
The owner of The Crepery reported on April 1 that someone stole about
$400 from a cash register after breaking into the restaurant. A minister
at the Church of Christ reported April 2 that someone stole about $30
after prying open several locked doors. Another burglary at The Crepery
was reported April 3, with $5 in change taken. A worker at the art gallery
across the hall told responding police that there was a burglary at that
shop as well, and that $1,000 of artists’ jewelry was taken.
According to authorities, two necklaces matching the description of
jewelry taken from the gallery were recovered from Grace.

A sexual assault occurs every 2 seconds in the United States. While both
men and women are susceptible to becoming victims of sexual violence, a
CDC survey revealed that 1 in 5 U.S. women have been raped during their
lifetime and 1 in 2 have encountered some form of sexual violence.
Unfortunately, sexual assault incidents are reported less frequently than
any other violent crime as only a small percentage of victims are willing
to step forward to report their experience and involve the criminal justice
process.
Protecting yourself by being informed about the dangers in your area
and understanding preventative measures are critical to prevent victimization.
The National Crime Prevention Council and AlertID offer the following
9 tips to help protect women from becoming victims:
1. Be aware of your surroundings - become a member of AlertID
for free at www.AlertID.com to stay informed of the sex offender, current
crime alerts and up to the minute warnings from neighbors in any area
important to you.
2. Avoid walking or jogging alone – particularly at night. Additionally,
vary your route and stay in well-traveled, well-lighted areas.
3. Walk with confidence - the more confident you look, the stronger
you appear.
4. Be wary of isolated spots –underground garages, offices after business hours, and apartment laundry rooms.
5. Have your key ready to use before you reach the door – this includes
home, car, or work.
6. Drive on well-traveled streets with doors and windows locked.
7. Trust your instincts - if you feel uncomfortable in your surroundings, leave the area immediately.
8. In the event you have car trouble - call for help on your cell phone or
if you don’t have a phone, put the hood up, set road flares, lock the doors,
turn on the hazard lights, and wait for a public service worker to assist you.

Victim support resources are especially important functions of the recovery process for all survivors of sexual violence. If you are sexually assaulted, it is not your fault. Don’t be afraid to ask for help or support.
