A Ponca City woman hired her
younger sister to babysit her kid on
August 1. Unfortunately, she didn’t
know her sister could drink like a
fish.
According to the affidavit, a Ponca
City officer responded to a residence
in the 1600 block of Queens Road in
reference to an 18-year-old female
who was intoxicated and out of control. The female was identified as
Ponca City woman Olivia Beatrice
Page.
The intoxicated youngun’s sister
and boyfriend asked her to babysit
her child while they went to the casino. They might have been lucky at the casino, but their luck soon
ran out when they arrived back home. Although the child was nestled
safely in a bed upstairs, Page had discovered her sister’s wine stash.
The sister told the officer when she and her boyfriend came back
from the casino, Page was acting strangely. She kept yelling and was
out of control. When her sister’s boyfriend tried to calm her down,
Page became angry and grabbed her sister’s hair and punched her.
She also grabbed her sister by the throat and tried to choke her.
The boyfriend tried to get Page outside and make her leave, but
Page just turned her violent drunken rampage on him.
When the officer arrived at the residence, he made contact with a
very unsteady Page who slurred, “What do you want?”
According to the affidavit, the officer could smell the odor of alcohol approximately four feet away from Page.
He asked Page what happened and she didn’t respond. She swayed
back and forth before randomly screaming out loud.
Page is being charged with domestic assault and battery by strangulation and assault and battery. She was released on a $2,500 bond
and is scheduled to appear in court on November 7, 2014.
Don’t tell mom the
babysitter’s drunk!

Return to the scene of
the crime… for lunch
An alleged serial burglar’s craving
for El Pollo Loco appears to have
done him in.
Daniel Warn, 28, was caught on
security video in the early morning
hours of July 16 going through the
drive-thru window at the fast food
restaurant in Costa Mesa, Calf.
Video allegedly showed him
ransacking the eatery, but he failed
to find any money.
Later that day, police say Warn, of
Bloomington, returned to the El Pollo Local to order food wearing
the same distinctive hat and bright green shirt.
“Shortly before noon on July 16, employees at the El Pollo Loco
contacted Costa Mesa Police reporting that a subject matching the
description of the suspect seen on the store video was back at the
restaurant, in line to order food,” authorities said.
Warn was arrested at the restaurant.
He is also a suspect in several other commercial burglaries in the
south Costa Mesa area that occurred earlier in the week.
Warn, who has a criminal arrest record, was out of jail as part of
California’s Realignment program.
He is being held at the Orange County Jail on $35,000 bail.

A Bartlesville man who alleged he was being arrested because he borrowed a car from
a “crazy bitch” was actually arrested on August
13 for a warrant and drug possession.
According to the affidavit, Bartlesville police were informed that Johnnie Ray Weaver,
50, had just left a convenience store and was
in a white car traveling east on Adams Boulevard. Weaver had an outstanding warrant out
of Washington County for unauthorized use of
a vehicle. Police finally tracked down Weaver
around 10 p.m. and verified his warrant.
While waiting for confirmation, Weaver asked the officer what the
warrant was for. When the officer told him, Weaver replied, “I borrowed a car from a crazy bitch and she came and picked it up the
other day.”
Weaver became upset and asked the officer for details of the case;
the officer explained he didn’t know the specifics.
The officer placed Weaver in handcuffs and asked him if he had
any illegal items or weapons. Weaver said no, but the officer found
a cigarette box in Weaver’s back pocket containing a baggie with a
crystal substance.
Weaver immediately told the officer he had picked up the box as
trash. When the officer put Weaver in the patrol car, the man told
him, “I have a point in my boot.”
Once at the jail, detention officers found a syringe and a small bag
with a white residue in Weaver’s boot. Another bag of the substance
was also recovered from Weaver’s wallet. The substance field-tested
positive for methamphetamine.
Weaver is being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. His
bond was set at $10,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on
September 5, 2014.
Beg, steal,
or borrow?

OK Jailbirds is cooperating with the efforts of Oklahoma Department of Human Services to impact the huge
social problem of irresponsible parents who are not paying the child supports ordered by our courts.
If these biological-only parents won’t honor the courts order, perhaps public shame will get their attention.
If you know how to reach any of the Deadbeat Parents found on this page, please call the Oklahoma Department of Human Services
Child Support HotLine at 1-800-522-8014
Importance of Child Support
Children are our future and child support helps make sure they
have a chance at a productive life. Children have the right to get
support from both parents and do not lose this right when a
parent leaves the home.
When children do not receive child support, they can:
Suffer both Emotionally and Physically
Live within a Reduced Standard of Living
Have their Basic Needs Unmet
Become Non-Supportive when they become Parents.
When one or both parents do not support their children,
taxpayers often pay the cost of raising children. When children
receive public assistance and their parents pay no child support,
all taxpayers bear the cost of supporting the children.

At approximately 9:30 on August
6, Blanchard police received a 911 call
regarding a shooting at Gators convenience
store at 1235 N.E. 10th, Blanchard. Officers
found Gaye Keeler, 57, dead inside from a
gunshot wound. Reports state her dog was
also found shot to death.
Gaye and her husband, Larry, owned the
store. Employees identified Larry Keeler as
the shooter. Larry left the store after the
shooting.
Blanchard officers drove to Larry’s home at 3094 Misty Lane and detained
him for questioning. He was later arrested on a complaint of first degree
murder and booked in to the McClain County jail; bond was denied.
The couple was going through a divorce. Blanchard PD requested OSBI
assistance. Numerous investigative and crime scene agents responded.

What you’re saying about this on...
Brian G: Legalize steroids, same amount of deaths as weed and steroids won’t make
you sound like a half asleep pothead
Toni L: Brian maybe you need to do some research steroids do hurt and kill people.
They have very dangerous side effects unlike weed.
Brandi W: I think it really wouldn’t matter which drugs are legalized or not, people
will find a way to abuse, take, sell, make or even trade drugs if they want to! I for one don’t
think I’m in charge of anybody else’s actions or wants.. I say to each their own just don’t
bring others down for your own actions! Be responsible..
Becky P: they use to use it for medical reasons in the old days...legalize it and get the
tax from it...steroids will kill you eventually...go after the meth heads
Brandon H: Legalize bud it never hurt a soul
Jon W: Legalize weed
Sha’Meka M: Steroids can kill you n make you do things ... Legalize Mary Jane..
She’s cool ppl
Gary H: Maybe synthetic weed. Steroids claimed a whole family in Chris Benoit’s
case. If you don’t mind disappearing testicles and the end to your sex life, enjoy......
Andrea G: They gotta get to Rehab, But they say No No No!
Mike B: Tighten control of Prescription drugs . They cause more problems.
Jason H: Free the weed. !!! Unburden the prison industrial complex
Tamara T: Concentrate on where the drugs are coming from. I know in Garvin Co a
lot of the same people that were dealing 18 years ago when I was in high school are still the
main dealers around. Quit making deals with them.
Mallori D: Marijuana should be legalized. Others drugs like cocaine or meth should
not be. I don’t agree with throwing these people in jail and them serving time longer than
people who have killed/rape. These people should be given help. There a lot of people who
use marijuana and don’t go out and kill, rob or lose their job because of it. It’s time the baby
boomers start letting my generation make these choices. It will happen eventually.
Renee M: You get more time for marijuana than drunk driving or being a cook or
tweek. A little backwards. Oh yeah and all because they thought they could win the war on
drugs. Which will never happen..
Alissa W: I have Fibromyalgia. We have very low options to control our pain. It just
so happens marijuana does great things for our pain, and coming off of it is a lot easier
than coming off of narcotics where it all of a sudden wears off and you are in more pain
than before. I think medical marijuana would do great things in our state. Also I think that
if you are a first time offender of drugs and alcohol you should go to involuntary rehab. If
you have kids you shouldn’t get “special treatment” by no means. I believe narcotics and
meth and heroine are more of an issue than pot. Narcotics cause more harm to yourself
and others.
Merrenda L: Colorado is a debt free state and has been. No one has broke out and
caused riots and crime has actually went down. When it comes to pot, make it legal and
follow colorado. Get our state debt free and tax the hell out of it. Use the money for schools
and roads.
Molly E: There is a definite drug problem in Oklahoma, but I believe incarceration is
not the only solution. Jail time will punish drug users/abusers, but it will NOT address the
underlying problem. As soon as they are released, they will go right back to using. We need
to invest more in rehabilitation than punishment. Addiction should be treated as an illness,
not a crime. These people are mothers, fathers, siblings, friends. They’re not monsters because they lost control. They just need help.
David T: Legalize marijuana it hasn’t killed anybody unlike prescription drugs, meth,
alcohol, or any other man made drugs. They need to be more strict on these meth heads
and drunks who take ppls lives on a daily basis instead of a slap on the wrist and send them
on their way. I’ve had to many family members and friends killed by a drunk driver or
somebody under the influence of meth
Lisa H: There are many benefits to making pot legal. Not only for medicinal issues,
but tax dollars added in to our economy as well. No, the judicial system has been messed
up for years. People caught with pot get more time than kiddy rapists! No one comes out of
the womb saying they want to become an addict. Meth has destroyed millions of lives. But
until we as a society, can accept the fact that some people are simply broken and looking
for a way to relieve their pain, drugs, alcohol, etc. will be abused. Send the first timers to
drug rehab. After that, jail time.
Jason S: Alcohol is already legal, now pot should be. Ive seen more problems though
through presciption drugs by far.
Maria E: Well unfair if the pot heads can have mary jane give the dope heads cocain
and ice ... get my point not fair to give some what they want and not others what they want..
if you legalize one legalize all. I’m against any including pain meds because ameicans have
learned to say there back hurts get oxy and instead of fixing the “problem” they claim to
have they keep popping there pills or better yet sell to the pill poppers and buy there weed,
meth ect..
Joel R: the biggest problem i see is corruption in the police and sheriff”s departments/
offices.
Dillen G: I’d say the problem isn’t the drugs. Now bear with me, I don’t condone the
use or cultivation of any drug. The PROBLEM, however, is these gun toting punk kids and
the wars they wage for the people who supply them. Did you know on the black market,
the “product” that flows the most, is laundry detergent. Something completely legal is being sold in underground markets just like these drugs. Why? Because the drugs aren’t the
problem, but they are contributing factors nonetheless. Legalizing won’t get rid of these
organizations underground. It may dampen them, and make it harder for them to make
money, but it won’t stop them. When you get down to brass tax, it’s lazy people trying to
make a paycheck. These “gangsters” are pawns for individuals who go unnoticed or unfound because of the loyalty these pawns have for them. They just reel in the cash.
Chuck C: Alcohol does need attention but again it’s effects are scientifically measurable and marijuana doesn’t since it has different levels THC but I’m sure that will change.
Preston S: That whole question as to whether they should be more lenient on women
than men, is just simple minded. An “abuser” is just that, an “abuser.” Whoever runs this
page, should probably have their questions examined by a panel of people before posting.
Okjailbirds: Preston S: It is Senate Bill 1278, so I guess the question was examined before we posted. Men are left out of this bill. http://www.oksenate.gov/.../press.../
pr20140312a.htm
Tucker W: Too many prescription drugs. Every time I go to a doctor they want to
fix it with a pill. What happened to curing something rather than masking the pain?????
Jesse C: As simple as we would like to make the solution to our state’s drug issues
sound, they are extremely complicated. No simple one liner answer will work. Drugs are
a temporary answer to a long term problem. Until we as a society decide to face the issues
instead of escape, we will have a drug issue, legal or illegal.
Here’s a question for you...
How do think the current drug problem in Oklahoma should be solved?
Things to ponder:
• Is there a drug problem at all?
• Do drugs need to be legalized? Which drugs?
• Do all drug abusers need to go to jail? What about recreational drug users?
• Do drug abusers/users need help instead of jail time? What about those who
don’t want help?
• Should judges be more lenient with women
and harsher on men? What about those who
have children (women and men)?
• Do you think our system is fair and just? If
not, what seems to be the problem?
Sorry we could not print all responses;

Owasso woman Megan Michelle
Duckwall, 26, was arrested in Skiatook
August 9 after she ran into a mailbox
while allegedly under the influence of
drugs.
At 7:34 a.m., Skiatook officers were
dispatched to the 500 block of Maplewood Lane due to a female driving
her car into a mailbox, the affidavit
states. When officers arrived, they saw
a maroon car on the wrong side of the
roadway — and the passenger side was
shoved into a mailbox.
Duckwall was sitting in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. She told an officer she was on her way to a
friend’s house when she plowed down the innocent mailbox. Duckwall didn’t make much sense when she spoke to officers, and her
eyes were red, watery and bloodshot.
Police asked her if she had taken any drugs or other substances.
She admitted to taking Xanax pills, but added that there could be
some methamphetamine and ecstasy in her system as well.
An officer placed Duckwall under arrest and conducted an inventory of her vehicle. In her car, officers found a clear pipe containing a white residue and black, burnt substance, an empty baggy, a
baggy containing a white powdery residue and a baggy containing
six Xanax pills. The white residue field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
Duckwall told police she had a prescription for the Xanax, but she
didn’t have it with her. Police were unable to verify her statement at
time of arrest.
Duckwall is being charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, driving a motor vehicle while under
the influence of drugs and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $5,000, and she is scheduled to appear in
court on August 22, 2014.

FACT:
Most child sexual abusers use
physical force or threat to gain
compliance from their victims.
FAlse. In the majority of cases,
abusers gain access to their victims
through deception and enticement,
seldom using force. Abuse typically
occurs within a long-term, ongoing
relationship between the offender and
victim and escalates over time.

A Jennings man might have gotten away with it — if his
sweat hadn’t given him away.
On August 1, dispatch received a call from someone at the
Trading Post in Pawnee. According to the affidavit, the caller told dispatch a possible drunk driver ran into two poles
in the store’s parking lot.
A Pawnee officer drove around the town around 9:15
p.m. to watch for the suspect. He located the vehicle at a liquor store and saw a man he identified as Michael Anthony
Wren, 53, standing near the truck. The officer asked Wren
if he knew who was driving the vehicle — Wren slurred, “I
wasn’t driving.”
The officer looked in the vehicle and saw Wren’s driver’s
license in the console. Dispatch confirmed the vehicle belonged to Wren. He again asked Wren who was driving, and
noticed Wren was unsteady on his feet.
The officer placed him in investigative detention and
smelled the odor of alcohol on Wren’s breath and person. Another officer advised the officer
on the radio of the suspect’s description, including that he was sweating heavily. The officer
noticed “the description…was an exact match to [Wren’s] clothing, hair color and perspiration.”
Wren was sweating profusely.
The officer asked him again if he was driving. Wren said, “Yes, I was driving. Why?”
The officer told him he hit two poles; Wren said he didn’t hit any poles. On the passenger
side of the truck, there were marks and dents that matched the color of the poles. When the
officer told him he was involved in an accident, Wren replied, “OK, I was driving. Can you
take me home?”
It doesn’t quite work that way.
The officer placed Wren under arrest. During an inventory of Wren’s truck, the officer
found two empty beer cans and a full can in the cab of the truck.
Wren agreed to take the state’s breath test, but became angry and told he officer, “You’re a
piece of s---. I’m not taking the f------ test.”
Well, OK then!
Wren is being charged with driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol,
driving with license suspended and leaving scene of accident involving injury. He is being
held in lieu of a $15,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on August 29, 2014.
Don’t sweat it!
