Monroe man Dalton Blake Thompson, 18, was arrested after a cop caught him trying to put the moves
on a young lady while drinking beer on February 1.
According to the police report, a Leflore County deputy was traveling northbound on Morris Creek Road
shortly after 3 a.m. in Heavener when he saw a vehicle
parked at the intersection of Montgomery Road near
the bridge. The vehicle was turned off and the deputy
could see two people inside, so he stopped to see what
was going on.
Thompson was in the driver’s seat and a woman was
sitting in the passenger’s seat. Thompson’s clothes
were disarranged and he was trying to put his shirt back on as the deputy approached the car.
The deputy immediately smelled the odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle.
He shined his light into the car and saw an open bottle of beer. Thompson admitted he had been drinking, and he told the deputy he had “three or four” beers.
The woman had not been drinking.
The deputy told the couple to step out of the car. Inside the vehicle, the deputy
found 7 cans of beer and an empty bottle of whiskey.
The woman told the deputy she and Thompson were just talking. She said she
lived right up the street.
Thompson told the deputy that they just came from Monroe, and they stopped
to “make-out” when the deputy caught them.
Thompson is being charged with minor in possession of alcohol. His bond was
set at $1,500, and he is scheduled to appear in court on March 7, 2016.

Death row
James Allen Coddington
James Allen Coddington,
39, of Choctaw was
convicted of murder and
sentenced to die in 2003 for
the 1997 beating death of
Albert Hale, 73. Authorities
said Coddington beat Hale
on the head with a hammer
because Hale wouldn’t give
him money to buy drugs.
The appeals court
overturned Coddington’s original death sentence, but a
diff erent jury imposed another death sentence in 2008.
The court’s opinion said jurors at Coddington’s second
sentencing trial found that Hales’ death was atrocious
and cruel and that Coddington posed a continuing threat
to society.
The Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals upheld the
death sentence.

DELANA
Oklahoma City man Jude Daniel Delana, 31,
was arrested on February 4 in Red Oak for allegedly disturbing the peace and firing a gun at a man.
According to the police report, a Latimer County
deputy was dispatched to the 13700 block of NE
176th shortly after 4 a.m. A woman at the residence told him she and a man were sleeping when
the loud roar of a truck revving its engine woke
them both up. The man went outside to investigate, and he found Delana in the driveway. The woman said the two
“had words” and Delana fired a gun. Delana started naming off other
guns he had and threatened to “blow [the woman’s] house off the
map.”
The man who confronted Delana told the deputy the same story.
The deputy then went to Delana’s residence and asked him what
happened. Delana said his truck was having problems, and a man
came outside and started threatening him. Delana insisted that he
never shot or pointed a gun at anyone.
The deputy asked him if he owned a gun -- he didn’t answer. The
deputy then asked him if there was a gun in his truck -- he said he
didn’t know. When the deputy asked him if there were guns around
him or in his house, Delana said there were “guns all around him.”
The deputy asked to see the man’s ID. Delana said he wasn’t going
to give it to him. The deputy told him if he refused to hand over his
ID, he was going to jail. Delana still refused, so the deputy told him
he was under arrest.
Delana then refused to put his hands behind his back. The deputy grabbed his arm and tried to place the man in handcuffs. Delana
pulled away and continued to argue with the deputy.
At the jail, a detention officer handed the deputy the man’s ID. The
deputy asked Delana why he didn’t just give it to him. Delana said it
was for the principle of the matter.
That probably wasn’t it, though. The deputy checked the man’s information and was advised that Delana was a convicted felon.
Delana is being charged with obstructing an officer and disturbing
the peace. He was released on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 3, 2016.

Krebs woman Mary Ruth Bradley Ralls, 67, was apparently tired of driving her vehicle and was arrested for
knowingly making a false report.
She allegedly dumped the vehicle in a lake before calling the police and reporting it stolen on February 6.
According to the police report, Ralls called 911 and told
the operator that her car was stolen at Van Buren on Buffalo Drive. She said the alleged thieves, a group of Hispanic males, jacked her car while she was looking for a
cigarette she had dropped.
A McAlester officer became suspicious when the woman
was hesitant to give him information regarding the vehicle she report stolen, including information about the person who was supposed
to be with her when the vehicle was stolen. She was non-compliant and only gave
the officer minimal information.
The officer spoke with the individual, but the person’s account of events just
didn’t match up with Ralls’s story.
Because of the conflicting information, police determined that Ralls was most
likely giving them false information.
They were right.
The officer went to the woman’s house and confronted her about the information. She admitted to him that she made a false report.
Ralls said she actually “dumped” her car at the Cardinal Point boat ramp on
Lake Eufaula.
Ralls is being charged with false report of vehicle theft. She was released on a
$1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on February 23, 2016.

Soper man Anisteo Barocio Jr., 47, allegedly cut his neighbor’s fence and took a chainsaw to some persimmon trees on
February 7. He told police he was trying to clean the place up
and clear a path to the cemetery.
According to the affidavit, the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office received multiple calls regarding a fight near and on US
Highway 70 shortly after 11 a.m. A property owner said his
neighbor, identified as Barocio, cut his fence and chopped
down his persimmon trees.
A Choctaw County deputy responded to the scene. Barocio
said they weren’t fighting; he denied damaging any property.
The victim’s son told police he was driving down Highway
70 when he saw Barocio cutting down his dad’s fence. He
called his father, and the two men confronted the neighbor.
They started arguing, and Barocio hit the son with a t-bar with barbed wire strands. He then
dropped the weapon and ran into the highway, stopping traffic. He jumped on the back of a
horse trailer, but the driver got out of his vehicle and yelled at the man to get off.
Barocio jumped off then got into the backseat of a stopped car. The driver of the car also
told Barocio to get out. The man exited on the other side of the vehicle and took off running
westbound on US 70.
The victim said he first noticed his fence was cut the day before and that morning he noticed that some of his persimmon trees had been cut with a chainsaw.
Barocio at first denied that anything happened, but he quickly changed his story and told
the deputy that he used a chainsaw to cut the trees. He said they didn’t know they were persimmon trees.
He told police he didn’t hit the son with a t-bar.
The deputy place the man under arrest and transported him to jail.
Barocio later told the officer he cut the fence, because he walks to the cemetery where his
parents are buried. He cut the trees, because he was trying to clean up the creek.
Barocio is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, malicious injury to property over $1,000 and trespassing on private land primarily devoted to farming/
ranching/forestry. His bond was set at $20,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on
March 29, 2016.

19-year-old Antlers man Marcus Dwight Carter was caught driving under the influence of
marijuana with some meth and paraphernalia during a traffic stop on February 6.
At approximately 12:56 p.m., a state trooper was facing west on SH-3 west of Nelson
Road when he saw a blue car drive by with a defective exhaust and a cracked windshield. He
stopped the car on Nelson Road and made contact with the driver, identified as Carter.
The trooper noticing the man’s droopy eyes, sluggish motions, and the odor of marijuana
asked Carter if he smoked weed. The man didn’t lie -- he admitted to the trooper he smoked
about three joints earlier that day.
The trooper asked him where he kept the drug -- Carter said at his house.
The trooper then had the man exit his car and empty his pockets. Carter pulled out a box
that said “legalize” with a marijuana leaf on it. The box contained some rolling papers.
The man also pulled out a cylinder that contained a clear rock substance. Carter told the
trooper it was meth, but he said he was just delivering it for a buddy in exchange for some
weed.
The trooper placed the man under arrest and transported him to jail.
Carter is being charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs,
failure to maintain security and failure to pay taxes due to state. His bond was set at $8,000,
and he is scheduled to appear in court on February 24, 2016.

Stigler woman Keshia Annette
Stiles, 26, was locked up for suspicion of DUI after she failed to turn
off her bright lights in the early
morning hours of February 10.
According to the police report,
a Haskell County deputy stopped
Stiles when he saw her traveling on
West Main with her bright lights
on. She was also going 33 mph in a
25 mph zone.
He made contact with the driver
and asked for her license and insurance. There were two passengers in
the car.
The deputy checked the driver’s
information and gave her back her
license.
While speaking to her, he smelled the odor of alcohol coming from
inside the vehicle. He asked if she had been drinking -- she told him
that they all had been. The deputy asked how much alcohol she had
consumed. Stiles said she had about three to four beers, and she
stopped drinking around 11 p.m.
The deputy asked her to step out of the car. He administered standard field sobriety tests and determined that the woman was intoxicated. He told he was going to take her to the police department for
a breath test. The test revealed that her BAC was .11.
During an inventory of the woman’s car, police found two open
containers in the center console and a thirty pack in the backseat.
Stiles is being charged with driving a motor vehicle while under
the influence of alcohol, failure to dim headlights and transporting
opened container of beer. Her bond was set at $2,500 and she is
scheduled to appear in court on March 8, 2016.

Cartwright man Eric Lawson Duckworth, 48, was arrested on February 3 for allegedly shooting out a man’s
window and walking into a home uninvited.
According to the affidavit, Duckworth called police at
approximately 4:34 a.m. to report an assault. A Bryan
County deputy was notified, but dispatch advised that
all parties involved were separated. The deputy told dispatch he would speak to the caller later that morning.
At 4:51 a.m., the deputy received another call about the
incident. This time, the other party involved said Duckworth had broken into his home.
The deputy went to the residence in the 200 block of
Denison Street. He told the deputy Duckworth came over and yelled at him to
come outside.
Duckworth then walked into the man’s home, even though the man told him
not to.
He said he “was busy”, but Duckworth said he didn’t care, so the man put on his
overalls and stepped outside. He again told Duckworth he was busy. Duckworth
again said he didn’t care.
The man said Duckworth swung at him, and they started fighting.
He told the deputy the fight happened because Duckworth shot out his roommate’s window with a BB gun.
Two witnesses corroborated the man’s story.
The deputy returned to his patrol car and saw a man walking toward him. The
man identified himself as Duckworth and said “they hit me with a bat.” He didn’t
have injuries consistent with being beat by a bat.
The deputy asked the man why he went to the house at 4:30 in the morning. He
said they asked him to come over. He denied shooting out the window and going
inside the home uninvited.
The deputy spoke to the roommate, who said he heard fighting and ran outside
with a bat, because he didn’t know what was going on. He said he never hit Duckworth with the bat.
The roommate showed the deputy texts he exchanged with Duckworth. In the
messages, Duckworth denied shooting out the man’s window and kept cussing at
him, despite the man telling Duckworth he wasn’t mad.
The deputy placed Duckworth under arrest and transported him to jail.
Duckworth is being charged with burglary in the second degree and malicious
injury to property under $1,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 9,
2016. Bond information was unknown at time of print.

A Detroit, Michigan, man was arrested on February 12 after he led
police on a high-speed chase that
started in Pittsburg County and
ended in Durant.
He was booked into the Atoka
County Sheriff’s Officer.
Shortly after 3 a.m., an Atoka officer was advised that Pittsburg
County deputies were in pursuit of
a white car with a Texas tag. The
driver was driving recklessly and
reaching speeds in excess of 90 mph heading southbound on Highway 69/75.
Atoka police set up spike strips on the highway, but the driver
drove right past the hindrance and continued down the road. The
officer jumped in his car and joined a Kiowa police officer in the pursuit. While following the vehicles, he reached speeds in excess of 127
mph, according to the affidavit.
The suspect then sped through Atoka and Tushka, continuing onto
Caney. Tushka police and Caney officers joined the chase.
The trailing officers didn’t faze the suspect, however. The man,
later identified as 26-year-old James Anthony Baker, just kept on
speeding down the road and driving in a reckless manner. He drove
into Durant and exited off the highway, coming to a stop on Washington Street. Officers placed the man in handcuffs.
A hostile and belligerent Baker, who smelled strongly like alcohol, started yelling and threatening to beat the officers’ asses. Police
searched the man’s vehicle and they found an open bottle of tequila.
Baker told police he ran because he had a suspended license and he
was afraid he would go to prison. He admitted to drinking alcohol,
but he wouldn’t tell officers just how much he had consumed.
The Atoka officer escorted the man back to Atoka and locked him
up in a cell.
Baker is being charged with endangering others while eluding/attempting to elude police officer. His bond was set at $17,000, and he
is scheduled to appear in court on February 17, 2016.

Cove, Arkansas, man Timothy Glenn Bailey, 38, was arrested in McCurtain County on
February 8 after he led police on a high-speed
pursuit from Arkansas into Oklahoma.
Shortly before 11 p.m., a state trooper was
advised that Bailey and a trail of Arkansas
Polk County deputies were approaching the
Oklahoma state line.
En route to the location, he was advised
the man stopped on the Mountain Fork River
Bridge and threw a gun into the river.
Officers took the man into custody.
The trooper spoke to Arkansas deputies, who told him that Bailey reached speeds in excess of 100 mph and drove into oncoming
traffic while in Oklahoma. The man also had a felony warrant out of
Arkansas.
Bailey seemed to be intoxicated, and a breath sample confirmed
his BAC was .08. He smelled like alcohol and was belligerent. His
speech was slurred and officers had a hard time understanding what
he was saying.
Bailey told police it wasn’t just alcohol that was making him act
crazy – he said he “could have” heroin, ecstasy and LSD in his system.
Bailey had to pee twice on the way to jail, and he told the trooper
he still had alcohol in his system from the night before.
The gun Bailey tossed in the river was retrieved by police.
The trooper was later advised Bailey was a convicted felon with a
previous DUI conviction.
Bailey is being charged with endangering others while eluding/attempting to elude police officer, fugitive from justice, possession of

We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money or
favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting
offi cer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.
Thank you and God Bless

NEAL
Checotah woman Kelly Vanessa Neal, 48, was arrested for taking a drunken stroll down some railroad
tracks on February 4. She narrowly avoided being struck
by a train, but she wasn’t too happy when the conductor
asked if she was OK.
According to the affidavit, a McIntosh County deputy
was advised that a woman had almost been hit by a train
on some tracks north of Checotah. The caller said the
suspect was wearing jeans, a bikini top and no shoes.
The deputy found the scantily clad woman walking
down the road. He stopped and tried to talk to her, but
she was on an emotional roller coaster. She would laugh,
cry, then get angry. She was also unsteady on her feet
and was moving uncontrollably.
She identified herself as Neal.
The deputy tried to find out what was going on. Neal
had no clue. She denied being under the influence of a
narcotic, but she couldn’t remember the last time she
had slept.
The deputy tried to explain why he was there, but it was obvious the woman had no idea
what she was doing, or the potential danger she was in. It was about 40 degrees outside and
she was shivering, but when the deputy asked Neal if she was cold, she eloquently replied,
“Hell no!”
He asked her if she was trying to hurt herself. She said no. He then asked about the train.
Neal told the deputy that she didn’t know what those “lying bastards” were saying about her,
but she believed they were all going to hurt her.
The train conductor told police that he was traveling down the tracks when he saw a woman approaching the train. He slammed on the brake, but luckily Neal stepped off the tracks
right before she would have been hit. The conductor jumped off the locomotive to see if the
woman was OK. She asked him what the “f---” his problem was.
Neal is being charged with trespassing on railway train and public intoxication. Her bond
was set at $1,000, and she is scheduled to appear in court on May 20, 2016.
