Wister man Jacob Thomas Henderson, 26,
was locked up behind bars after he consumed
too much tequila and destroyed his friend’s
house on December 15.
He told an officer he was just trying to help
a friend out.
According to the police report, a Leflore
County deputy was dispatched to the 34200
block of Robinson Lane at approximately
10:32 p.m. The caller said a drunk man refused to leave his house.
When the deputy arrived, he saw a gold car parked in the middle of
the road. Henderson was walking behind the residence.
The deputy approached Henderson and patted him down. He
could smell the odor of alcohol on the man. Henderson told the deputy that he was just trying to help someone, and the person beat him
up.
The person told a different story. He said Henderson came to his
house and took him to the store. When they got back, Henderson
started drinking. He tried to choke the man and started tearing the
house up.
The man told Henderson to leave his house several times -- Henderson refused. When Henderson walked outside, the man shut the
door and locked it behind him. Henderson then started hitting the
side of the house with different objects.
The victim said he didn’t want to press charges for assault -- he
just wanted the drunk man off of his property.
The deputy asked Henderson if he had been drinking. He said yes.
He then asked the man what he had been drinking. Henderson said
tequila. He also said the vehicle parked in the middle of the road was
his.
The deputy placed him under arrest and transported him to jail.
Henderson is being charged with public intoxication. He was released on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on January 12, 2015.

When a mugger tried to rob her friend, 92-year-old Eileen Mason just
had her mobility scooter – and her no-nonsense attitude.
Eileen and 75-year-old Margaret Seabrook, both from Swindon, Wiltshire, England, were returning home from a lunch club meeting when a
thief appeared from behind a fence and eyed up the contents of Margaret’s basket.
But the robber didn’t know who he was dealing with.
‘Oh no you don’t!’ was Eileen’s battle cry as she accelerated on her
scooter.
The would-be thief ‘went flying’, said Eileen, who has four children, 10
grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
‘We went through the war and all the bombings. We won’t let a weasel
like that hold us back.’
Crocs plastic shoes left tread marks that helped link a 22-year-old
Fairbanks man to downtown burglaries, authorities said.
The owner of a building where some break-ins occurred provided surveillance footage to police, who posted it on the department’s Facebook
page. Roland Huntington Grace name was among several mentioned by
tipsters, according to authorities.
According to the court documents, Grace wore Crocs during a police
interview and the shoes matched the tread pattern found at the scene.
Grace faces charges of burglary, theft and criminal mischief in connection with the burglaries reported earlier this month, the Fairbanks Daily
News-Miner newspaper reported.
Online court records don’t have an attorney listed for him. Charging
documents say Grace admitted to the burglaries.
The owner of The Crepery reported on April 1 that someone stole about
$400 from a cash register after breaking into the restaurant. A minister
at the Church of Christ reported April 2 that someone stole about $30
after prying open several locked doors. Another burglary at The Crepery
was reported April 3, with $5 in change taken. A worker at the art gallery
across the hall told responding police that there was a burglary at that
shop as well, and that $1,000 of artists’ jewelry was taken.
According to authorities, two necklaces matching the description of
jewelry taken from the gallery were recovered from Grace.

EIXMANN
Vanessa Ann Eixmann, 29, allegedly took a drunken horse ride on
December 19 and stole some alcohol
from a residence.
The Talihina woman admitted she
didn’t have permission to be there.
According to the affidavit, a Latimer County deputy was dispatched
to a residence on Water Tower Road
around 10 a.m. to take a report of
a burglary. The victim said there
was an intoxicated woman riding a
horse around his yard at approximately 3 a.m. The man then noticed
that two guns were missing from his
residence. He said his wife had seen
them a couple of days before he realized they were missing.
The deputy went to Eixmann’s residence and asked her about the
burglary. Eixmann told him she went there intoxicated. “When I
went to the house, I didn’t take any guns, but I went to the freezer
and took some of his alcohol without permission to be there,” she
said.
She told the deputy she couldn’t remember what time she went
into the home and stole the booze. She continued to deny taking the
guns.
When the victim saw Eixmann, he positively identified her as the
woman riding a horse around his yard.
The deputy placed her under arrest for stealing the alcohol and
took her to jail.
Eixmann is being charged with burglary in the second degree. She
was released on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court
on January 5, 2016.

McAlester man Shawn Michael Billy, 31, was arrested
December 16 after he allegedly sneaked into a woman’s
home and set her on fire.
Billy said he never did that.
Shortly after 7 a.m., McAlester officers were dispatched
to the 1000 block of North Third to meet with the victim.
She told them she was sleeping at her home in the 800
block of East Tyler when Billy crawled through her window
and laid on top of her.
According to the police report, she said Billy told her
that he loved her, but she was going to die. He then poured
lighter fluid on her and lit the blanket she was wrapped in
on fire.
The victim said she was able to slap out the fire before it
burned too much. She got away from Billy and called her
mom to come get her. She gave police the burnt blanket and told them that the charcoal
lighter bottle was outside by the window.
The officers went to the victim’s home in an attempt to locate Billy. On the way, they
were advised the man had valid city warrants.
The officers saw Billy walking in the backyard toward the house. An officer told him
to pull his hands from his pockets. Billy didn’t listen and kept on walking past the officer. The officer grabbed him and placed him in handcuffs.
Billy admitted to crawling through the window at the house -- he said the door was
locked and it was the only way for him to get inside.
When an officer asked him what happened with him and the victim, Billy said the
victim was “doped up and crazy.” He said he never tried to light her on fire.
When they arrived at the jail, the officer checked the backseat of his patrol car just
like he does after every arrest. He found a small plastic container that contained two
small clear baggies. Inside of the baggies was a powdery type residue. He took the baggies inside the jail and asked Billy what was in them. Billy admitted that they contained
meth.
Billy is being charged with first-degree arson and possession of controlled dangerous substance. His bond was set at $50,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on
December 31, 2015.

Antlers man Justin Thornhill, 37, was arrested after he crashed his vehicle in the early
morning hours of December 21.
He told police he hadn’t been drinking, but he definitely appeared to be under the influence of something.
According to the affidavit, a state trooper was dispatched to a “major accident” on Coffee
Creek Road. When he arrived, he made contact with the driver, identified as Thornhill. The
explanation for the major accident was simple: Thornhill told the officer that he was driving
and just went off of the road.
The man was unsteady on his feet, but he told the trooper that he hadn’t been drinking.
When the trooper asked him if he had taken any medications, the man said he had taken
some Klonopin, Valium and “whatever else” the doctor gave him. He said he takes numerous
medications.
The trooper then asked the man if he knew what time it was -- Thornhill said it was 8 or 9
o’clock.
He was just a little off.
When the trooper told him it was 3:30 a.m., the man just looked forward and didn’t say
anything.
The trooper placed the man under arrest. He had to help Thornhill to the patrol car since
the man couldn’t walk without assistance.
Thornhill is being charged with driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs
and driving with license canceled/suspended/revoked. His bond was set at $5,000, and he
is scheduled to appear in court on January 4, 2016.
Under the influences
Coalgate man Jessie Odell Breger, 32, led police on a car
chase across county lines on December 16. He was eventually caught when his car ran out of gas.
According to the police report, a Coal County deputy was
advised of the chase shortly after 10 p.m. The suspect was
traveling southbound on state Highway 48 in excess of 100
miles per hour and police officers were hot on his tail.
The deputy joined the pursuit. The suspect, later identified as Breger, drove west to CR 3690 and ran a stop sign.
He then went south to state Highway 3, running another
stop sign. The chase continued until the man’s vehicle
stopped running.
Officers tried to get the man to step out of his car, but he
refused. The deputy approached the vehicle and knocked
out the passenger side window with a baton. He then
placed the man at gunpoint and told him to get out of the
car.
Breger still refused.
All of the doors were locked, so the deputy busted out the driver’s side window and opened
the door. Breger tried to grab the deputy’s arm -- the deputy responded by spraying the man
in the face with pepper spray.
Breger started yelling and screaming. Officers took him out of the car and placed him in
handcuffs.
The deputy patted down the man and found a clear plastic baggie containing a green leafy
substance. The substance tested positive for marijuana.
In Breger’s vehicle, police found several weapons, including a long black cane, a long dagger
and a baseball bat. The officer also found an open bottle of whiskey.
When the wrecker driver arrived to take the vehicle away, he advised police that he saw two
pistols under the car.
The officer seized the guns and unloaded them.
Breger is being charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance, possession of
firearm after former felony conviction, eluding/attempting to elude police officer, running a
roadblock, obstructing officer, transporting open bottle or container of liquor and driving with
license canceled/suspended/revoked. Bond and court date were unavailable at time of print.

An Atoka man was arrested in Durant on December 15 after he allegedly
jacked a car and stole some jewelry.
Bradley Dean Uber, 36, acted like he didn’t know why he was being arrested, even though he was caught in a stolen car.
According to the police report, a Durant officer was dispatched to an auto
burglary in progress at the intersection of N. Sixth Avenue and Plum Street
shortly after 3 a.m. A man was sitting in the driver’s seat of the stolen car.
The officer placed him in handcuffs.
The man was identified as Uber.
Dispatched advised that the man had an outstanding warrant through
Bryan County. The officer searched the man before placing him under arrest. He found two gold bracelets and a gold necklace. Uber told the officer
the jewelry was his.
The officer also found a gift card and a debit card with a woman’s name on them. They were wrapped
up in a sheet of paper that had several bank account and routing numbers written on them.
The officer placed the man under arrest and put him in the patrol car.
The owner of the vehicle looked through her car and told police that nothing was missing. She did
find some stuff that wasn’t hers, including three screwdrivers and a black hat. She also said the jewelry
wasn’t hers.
All of the cars parked in the nearby apartment complex had fresh handprints left in the dew on the
vehicles -- it appeared that Uber had gone around the parking lot, trying to open the cars.
On the way to jail, Uber asked what he was being charged with. The officer told him he was arrested
for burglary of an auto and possession of burglary tools. Uber said the screwdrivers weren’t his -- he
then asked if the officer got his black hat out of the car.
Uber is being charged with burglary of auto and possession of burglary tools. His bond was set at
$8,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on February 17, 2016.

We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money or
favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting
offi cer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.
Thank you and God Bless

dui/toc obstructing an officer petit larceny
A Fort Worth, Texas, man found passed out in his car at
an Atoka gas station told an officer he was actually in Latimer County, and police officers were supposed to clean out
his car.
An Atoka officer cleaned the car out, alright -- well, all of
the drugs and paraphernalia.
On December 17, the officer was dispatched to the car
wash because a man was passed out in his vehicle.
When the officer arrived, the vehicle was still running.
He saw a man later identified as Aaron Chase Calvert, 20,
slouched over in the driver’s seat. The officer knocked on
the window and woke the man up. Calvert opened his door
and tried to step out of the car. He was unsteady on his
feet and had red, bloodshot, glassy eyes. His vehicle also
smelled like marijuana.
The officer placed the man in handcuffs to detain him and put him in the back of the
patrol vehicle.
According to the affidavit, Calvert told the officer that the police told him earlier that day
that if he was pulled over again, they would vacuum the marijuana out the floorboards or
him.
Ha -- yeah right.
The officer searched the man’s vehicle and found a cigar with a green leafy substance,
three baggies containing a green leafy substance and a bag containing Xanax bars.
The officer put the items on top of the car. This caused Calvert to go crazy -- he started
kicking out the back driver’s side window.
The officer told him if he busted out the window, he could be charged for that too. He
continued searching the car, prompting Calvert to start banging his head against the window and cussing at the officer.
The officer found more Xanax bars.
While Calvert was screaming at the officer, he yelled that he was in Latimer County. He
was wrong.
Calvert is being charged with actual physical control of vehicle under the influence, two
counts of possession of controlled dangerous substance and unlawful possession of drug
paraphernalia. His bond was set at $4,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on
February 1, 2016.

A Wright City woman was intent
on making sure her estranged husband and his new woman wouldn’t
have a very merry Christmas.
52-year-old Tammy Annette
McCleskey allegedly attacked her
hubby at a convenience store, then
destroyed the woman’s Christmas
decor on December 15.
According to the police report, a
Wright City officer was dispatched
to the 100 block of E. Seventh Street,
the residence of the female victim,
around 3 p.m. The woman and McCleskey’s husband were waiting for
the officer when he arrived. It didn’t
take long for the officer to see that McCleskey had been there.
Christmas decorations had been thrown out into the street from
the house and a window in the woman’s home was broken.
The couple told the officer the man’s estranged wife started her
tirade at Gary’s Minimart. They said she attacked him at the convenience store-- the man had a large scratch on his right arm to prove
it.
The woman also visited the female victim’s home, destroying a
window and tearing up Christmas decorations.
When the officer went to McCleskey’s residence to ask her about
the accusations, she didn’t deny anything. She admitted to attacking her husband and destroying the woman’s decorations. The officer
placed her under arrest and took the woman to jail.
McCleskey is being charged with assault and battery, and malicious injury to property under $1,000. She was released on a $250
bond and is scheduled to appear in court on December 30, 2015.

A Eufaula man tried to evade arrest by lying about his
name -- unfortunately for him, an officer recognized him and
blew his cover. The man still tried to get away by running and
swinging a board at an officer.
On December 19, Eufaula officers tried to serve a forcible
entry and detainer notice to the suspect near the intersection
of Mongoose Lane and Antelope Trail. According to the affidavit, the suspect said he didn’t have any ID on him, but his
name was Brent and he was 33 years old.
The officer checked the info with dispatch, but they couldn’t
find the man in the system.
The officer asked the man to verify his date of birth. This
time, the man said he was 32 years old. When the officer
pointed out the discrepancy, the suspect said the officer was
wrong, not him.
During the investigation, the officer was advised that the man (well, the name he gave the
officer) was a former employee at the McIntosh County Criminal Justice Center. An officer
said he knew the man and would be able to recognize him.
When the officer arrived, he said the man definitely wasn’t the former employee. But, he
was able to identify the man as 27-year-old Kyle Mark Crawley.
The officer told Crawley he was under arrest. Crawley yelled no and took off running. The
officer yelled at him to stop, but Crawley just kept on going. The officer pursued the man and
caught up to him when Crawley’s clothes got caught on a fence.
The officer told him to get on the ground. Crawley was able to get free, and he grabbed a
piece of wood and turned toward the officer. He took off running again. The officer caught up
to him near Antelope Trail.
Crawley swung the wood at the officer, but he missed. The officer warned Crawley to drop
the wood or he was going to get tased. The man didn’t listen, so the officer shocked him.
Crawley continued to resist and refused to put his hands behind his back. Police officers
“helped” the man into some handcuffs and took him to jail.
Crawley is being charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, falsely personate another to create liability and obstructing officer. His bond was set at $50,000, and
he is scheduled to appear in court on January 7, 2016.
A shocking experience
