A 35-year-old unruly casino guest scolded a police officer and told him he needed to respect his elders when
he arrested her for trespassing on February 28.
New Waverly, Texas, woman Jessica Lee Sanders got
a lesson in respect when an unknown man told her to
listen to the police.
According to the affidavit, a Choctaw Nation Tribal officer was dispatched to the Pocola Casino in the 3400
block of Choctaw Road shortly after 9 p.m. due to a trespasser who was refusing to leave the property.
When he arrived, he saw Sanders standing outside the
travel plaza with security officers. He told her to have a
seat in his patrol car so she wouldn’t be wet and cold.
She allegedly replied, “You come here and respect your
elders!”
Sanders then turned to a man walking into the travel plaza. She asked him if
the officer needed to respect his elders. The man told her she needed to listen to
the officer.
Sanders told the officer that she wasn’t going to listen to him. She stuck to her
words and refused to comply with anything the officer told her. He placed her
under arrest...eventually.
Sanders pulled away from the officer and refused to get in the patrol vehicle
once he placed her in handcuffs.
On the way to the jail, she started pressing buttons on the center console and
police radio; she also tried to bite the officer. Before they arrived at the jail, Sanders started kicking and hitting the windows of the car. She kicked the officer in
the jaw twice.
She was eventually booked into jail.
Sanders is being charged with assault and battery on police officer and trespassing after being forbidden.

A night of drinking ended with a
stabbing and an arrest after Wilburton
man Alexander Isham Scott, 25, apparently got a little too out of control.
On March 7, Wilburton police were
dispatched to the 100 block of Choctaw Drive due to a fight that involved
weapons. When they arrived, four
people told them they had been drinking when Scott just went crazy and
jumped on a couple of them.
According to the police report, a female witness said Scott then grabbed
a knife and “went into military mode,”
stabbing another man. Police noticed
one of the man’s shoulders was covered with blood, and there was
blood on the floor in several rooms of the house.
The partiers said Scott then left the residence. A witness told police
Scott was probably at the house that was “through the bushes” next
door.
Scott was indeed at the house next door. When police questioned
him about the incident, he told them he had been at that house the
whole time. He had scratches on his shoulders and arms that looked
like he had run through the bushes between the houses. He also
smelled strongly of alcohol.
The homeowner of the residence Scott was at told police Scott was
scaring him, and he didn’t want the man at his house. Scott refused
to put his hands behind his back, so officers had to restrain him to
put on handcuffs. They then had to drag the man into jail, because he
refused to walk or comply with officer demands.
Scott is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous
weapon, assault and battery, resisting an officer and public intoxication. His bond was set at $10,000, and he is scheduled to appear in
court on March 17, 2015.

Antlers woman Amanda Childers, 32, was taken to
jail February 25 after she allegedly burglarized two
storage units and tried to hide the stolen items in her
home.
According to the affidavit, a Pushmataha County
deputy and Antlers officer were talking near Ethel Road
and state Highway 3 when they saw a truck leave a storage unit shortly after midnight. The vehicle then pulled
into a nearby driveway, and the driver jumped out of
the truck and took off running.
In the truck, officer found a marriage license and
birth certificate.
They contacted the owner of the items; he said he had stored them in a storage unit at Crossroads Storage. Police went to the man’s storage unit -- it was
empty.
Police also found mail belonging to a woman; they were unable to contact her
at the time.
Antlers officer later apprehended Childers, who was in possession of some of
the stolen items.
Police went to her home, where they found more stolen stuff, including a
wooden foot locker that had once contained some pictures. All of the pictures
were gone -- police found them burned in a barrel.
Police later returned to the storage units on Ethel and found an empty unit
where they had seen the truck.
Childers said the only thing she remembered was taking totes from the storage unit out by Crossroads; she didn’t remember burglarizing the storage units
on Ethel. She also said she didn’t know why she had run from police, and she
didn’t remember if anyone else was with her when she took stuff from the storage unit.
She also admitted to burning the photos.
Childers appeared to be remorseful for what she had done, and she told police
she had been messed up on dope.
Childers is being charged with two counts of second-degree burglary and two
counts of knowingly concealing stolen property. She was released on a $5,000
bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 8, 2015.

70-year-old Soper man Curtis Floyd Adams tried to make a run for it after he had a
drunken accident on March 2.
According to the police report, a state
trooper was dispatched to US-70 and
Crowder Creek around 7:30 p.m. for a vehicle accident. When he arrived, he made
contact with Adams, who had scrapes and
blood on his head and hand.
The trooper told Adams to stay still, but
Adams had other ideas!
While the trooper was calling for EMS,
Adams started his truck and floored it, “sending mud flying everywhere.” His truck then slid sideways and crashed into a fence.
The trooper yelled at Adams to stop, but the man backed his truck
up and drove through a field “at a high rate of speed.” He made it
200 yards before he drove into a creek.
The trooper approached the man and placed him under arrest. He
could smell a strong smell of alcohol. Adams told the trooper he ran
because he had been drinking.
The trooper placed him under arrest and asked if he wanted to
take the state’s test. Adams told the officer he wouldn’t pass it.
During an inventory of the man’s vehicle, police found an open can
of beer and two opened bottles of whiskey.
Adams’s driving record revealed he had prior suspensions and
DUIs, and the license plate that was on Adams’s truck was apparently registered to another vehicle.
Adams is being charged with driving a motor vehicle while under
the influence of alcohol, malicious injury to property under $1,000,
leaving scene of accident damaged fixture, driving with license canceled/suspended/revoked, failure to comply with lawful order, altering license plate/decal, transporting opened container of beer, failure to pay taxes due to state and failure to carry insurance/insurance
verification form. His bond was set at $30,000, and he is scheduled
to appear in court on April 28, 2015.

A Coalgate woman allegedly took a
vehicle while the owner was sleeping
and crashed into a tree while under the
influence of drugs.
Yes, she was arrested.
On February 25 shortly after 8 p.m.,
a state trooper responded to an accident at CR 1740 “4 tenths of a mile east
of OC crossing.”
The driver, 36-year-old Kristy Diane
Franklin, told the trooper she was on
her phone when she lost control of the
vehicle and hit a tree on the left side
of the roadway. When she was transported to the hospital, the owner of the vehicle contacted the trooper
and told him Franklin did not have permission to drive the vehicle.
She told him Franklin took the car while she was asleep and she
wanted to press charges against Franklin.
The trooper spoke to Franklin at the hospital, but she appeared to
be confused and didn’t make much sense when trying to explain why
she had the vehicle.
According to the police report, Franklin had an “unusual” amount
of prescription medication in her possession. One of the prescriptions had been filled with 90 pills on February 23, and there were
only 44 pills left in the bottle.
She was booked into jail after being released from the hospital.
Franklin is being charged with driving a motor vehicle while under
the influence of drugs and driving with license suspended/ canceled/
revoked. Her bond was set at $2,000, and she is scheduled to appear
in court on June 5, 2015.

According to the police report, a Kiowa police officer was advised to be on the lookout for a reckless
driver at approximately 4:28 a.m. He soon located
the vehicle traveling two miles south of Savanna city
limits. The vehicle was traveling 40 mph in a 70 mph
zone.
The officer watched as the vehicle drifted into the
outside lane multiple times. He stopped the vehicle
and found Smith sitting behind the steering wheel
wearing disheveled clothes -- her jeans were unbuttoned and her shirt was
pulled up above her stomach.
The officer asked her for her license and insurance, but she failed to hand
them over, even after he pointed the documents out to her.
He noticed a wooden pipe wedged between the seat and center console, and
he smelled a faint odor of marijuana. He asked her to step out of the vehicle.
Smith had slurred speech and was very unsteady on her feet. She told the officer she “had just thrown 90 Valiums out the window the day before yesterday.”
A preliminary breath test revealed her BAC was .000.
The officer asked her if she was diabetic; she told him, “Not that I know of.”
She admitted to taking other medications and told the officer that she smokes a
joint every once and a while.
Police searched the woman’s purse and car. They found a pipe with a green
leafy substance, various pills, a spoon, a needle, a bag containing a green leafy
substance, a bag containing a white crystal substance, a pair of scissors and a
lighter. The crystal substance field-tested positive for meth.
Smith was placed under arrest and taken to jail.
Smith is being charged with two counts of possession of controlled dangerous
substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs. He was released on a $5,000 bond and
is scheduled to appear in court on April 17, 2015.

OK Jailbirds is cooperating with the efforts of Oklahoma Department of Human Services to impact the huge
social problem of irresponsible parents who are not paying the child supports ordered by our courts.
If these biological-only parents won’t honor the courts order, perhaps public shame will get their attention.
If you know how to reach any of the Deadbeat Parents found on this page, please call the Oklahoma Department of Human Services
Child Support HotLine at 1-800-522-8014
Importance of Child Support
Children are our future and child support helps make sure they
have a chance at a productive life. Children have the right to get
support from both parents and do not lose this right when a
parent leaves the home.
When children do not receive child support, they can:
Suffer both Emotionally and Physically
Live within a Reduced Standard of Living
Have their Basic Needs Unmet
Become Non-Supportive when they become Parents.
When one or both parents do not support their children,
taxpayers often pay the cost of raising children. When children
receive public assistance and their parents pay no child support,
all taxpayers bear the cost of supporting the children.

BOGUS CHECK POSS OF FIREARM AFfc LARCENY OF AN AUTOMOBILE
After Brady Wayne Perkins, 49, was arrested for a warrant on
March 2, he allegedly assaulted a police officer and damaged a patrol car.
Stigler police placed Perkins under arrest during a search warrant at his residence in the 300 block of S. Broadway in Stigler. An
officer placed him in the back of the patrol car. When he shut the
door and walked away, he heard a loud thump. As he walked back
toward the vehicle, the thumping continued. The officer opened the
door, and he found Perkins sitting with his feet in the back seat.
According to the affidavit, it appeared that Perkins was kicking
the window and door of the car “in an attempt to damage, destroy,
and/or in attempt to escape.”
Perkins demanded that an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper be
present during his arrest -- he said it was his right. When the officer told him no it wasn’t, Perkins became angry and told the officer he was going to sue him and the department. He told
the officer he was going to “have [his] job.”
While Perkins was arguing with the officer, he raised up his leg like he was going to kick the
man. The officer warned Perkins that if he kicked him, he would get tazed.
Perkins managed to destroy the patrol car with his muddy boots. The window was pushed
out from its frame and the top of the door was messed up -- it wouldn’t shut properly.
Perkins was transported to the Haskell County Jail.
Perkins is being charged with malicious injury to property over $1,000 and assault on police
officer. His bond was set at $25,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on March 24, 2015.

Pottsboro, Texas, woman Brooke Michelle Brown,
31, found herself in some trouble in Durant after she
allegedly stole glasses and fake nails from Walmart
and lied to an officer about her name.
According to the affidavit, a Durant officer was dispatched to the store in the 3700 block of W. Main
Street at February 28 at approximately 5 p.m. A
protection officer was apparently trying to conduct
a citizen’s arrest on an uncooperative female. That
female was Brown.
When the officer arrived, he spoke to Brown, who
initially identified herself as someone else named
Sarah. The protection officer told the officer he saw
Brown hide stuff on her person while in the store. He
said he saw stolen merchandise in the woman’s purse.
The officer looked inside the purse and found two pairs of glasses and two sets
of fake finger nails. He also found cards in her purse with multiple names on
them.
One of the cards was an ID with a picture of the suspect; the name on the card
was Kendra. He placed her under arrest and took her to jail.
He later found two packages for sims cards in the back seat of his patrol vehicle.
Once they were at the jail, he conducted a criminal history searched. He realized that Brown was not named Kendra.
After determining the woman’s correct name, the officer was advised Brown
had two felony warrants for her arrest in Texas. Brown said she knew she had
warrants, and that’s why she used her sister’s name when she was arrested.
Brown is being charged with falsely personate another to create liability and
larceny of merchandise from retailer. Her bond was set at $6,000, and she is
scheduled to appear in court on March 25, 2015.

A wanted Broken Bow woman was found driving down
Highway 259 with a loaded gun and some marijuana in
her car, mouth and pants.
On March 1 at approximately 10: 45 p.m., a McCurtain County deputy saw a vehicle traveling northbound
on Highway 259 toward Broken Bow. The driver, later
identified as Amanda Lynn Anderson, 35, changed lanes
without signaling and failed to signal intent when driving
into the turn lane on the highway at the intersection of
Pleasant Valley.
The deputy stopped the vehicle and asked dispatch to
check for warrants.
According to the police report, he was advised Anderson had an active warrant for her arrest. He placed her under arrest and asked
her if she had anything illegal on her person. She told him she had a pistol in her
right jacket pocket. She said she had it on her because she had been shooting
beavers on her land.
The officer retrieved the loaded revolver from her pocket.
During inventory of the woman’s vehicle, they found two unfired rounds, a baggy containing what appeared to be marijuana and a marijuana cigarette.
Anderson was transported to jail. During booking, an officer noticed she appeared to be chewing on something. The officer told her she needed to spit out
her dip if she had one in. Anderson spit out a baggy containing what appeared to
be marijuana. Another baggy containing what also appeared to be marijuana was
found in Anderson’s pants. The substance tested positive for THC.
Anderson is being charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance,
transporting loaded firearm in motor vehicle and transporting weapons. She was
released on a $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 31, 2015.

Overnight on March 3, the Sallisaw Police Department requested OSBI agents assist with a homicide case.
Just before midnight, officers were dispatched to a call of a
woman deceased in her car in the area of 800 Ruth Street. Officers found Karen Gregg, 56, dead inside her vehicle with what
appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head.
A witness driving by the area saw a man standing outside the
vehicle and then heard a loud pop the witness believed was a
gunshot. That witness was able to give officers a description of
the man.
Agents and officers recovered several items of evidence at the crime scene which
linked back to Gregg’s son, Jessie Mosby, 35, as did the eyewitness description. Investigators located Mosby at the home he shared with his mother for the past several months.
Evidence located in the room where he was found relate back to the murder weapon. The possible murder weapon was found that morning in a yard on Druery Lane.
Mosby was arrested for the first degree murder of his mother and booked into the
Sequoyah County jail.

Antlers man Lonny Ray Karr, 43, and his Atoka girlfriend,
43-year-old Michelle Rene McDaniel, were arrested for allegedly
stealing stuff from his sister’s house on March 10.
Shortly after 7 p.m., an Atoka County deputy was dispatched to
a residence in the 800 block of Rector Road because a woman had
discovered there were some items missing from her home.
The woman told him her brother, Karr, and his girlfriend at been
staying with her. She said when she returned home earlier that
day, she noticed there was some money missing from her closet.
She left her residence and found Karr and McDaniel. She then
called the police.
Karr and McDaniel were driving a vehicle that belonged to the
victim. They both said they didn’t steal anything.
The victim looked through the vehicle the couple was driving,
and she found a bag containing some of her jewelry. It appeared
that the back seat was full of items the couple took from her.
There were also two pawn tickets in the bag that appeared to be
from some of the victim’s stolen jewelry.
The deputy placed the couple under arrest.
McDaniel admitted to stealing the jewelry and taking it to the
pawn shop. She said the couple also stole some drills, clothing,
boots, makeup and perfume from the woman’s house. She said
they didn’t mean to take the other items.
The officer asked her what she did with the money she received from the pawned rings --
she told him Karr had bought some meth.
Karr told the officer he had no idea that the stolen items were in the vehicle, but he admitted to taking McDaniel to the pawn shop.
Karr is being charged with knowingly concealing stolen property. He was released on a
$5,000 bond.
McDaniel is being charged with knowingly concealing stolen property, false declaration of
ownership in pawn and grand larceny. Her bond was set at $15,000.
They are both scheduled to appear in court on March 25, 2015.

On March 6, 1969, the first woman placed on the FBI's Most
Wanted list goes before an Oklahoma City judge after her true
identity is discovered a day earlier by OSBI fingerprint specialists.
Ruth Eisemann-Schier was wanted for her role in the kidnapping of Barbara Mackle from an Atlanta, GA, motel December
17, 1968.
Schier was using an assumed name when picked up at a Norman drive-in restaurant several months later where she worked
as a car hop. Schier was living under the name Donna Willis
when she applied for a job at the Central State Hospital in Norman. As stated in an article printed by The Daily Oklahoman,
“As a routine procedure, she was fingerprinted and her fingerprints were sent to the crime
bureau for a check against criminal records. They were received Tuesday night. Mrs. Jean
Price, a fingerprint technician at the crime bureau two years, noticed Wednesday morning
that the prints matched those of Ruth Eisemann-Schier.”
FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover sent a letter of appreciation to the OSBI applauding the efficient work and cooperation with the FBI by OSBI Bureau Chief Carl Tyler; Chief Agent Tom
Puckett; Paul Boyd, head of the identification division; and Mrs. Jean Price.

A&B ON POLICE OFFICER
Eufaula man Jason Reed Berry, 38, led Checotah police on
a chase that included gunshots and ended with the man hiding under a bed.
On March 4, a Checotah officer saw a truck leave a local
motel at approximately 1 a.m. According to the affidavit, the
vehicle had a busted windshield and there were several items
hanging from the rear view mirror that were obstructing the
driver’s view.
The officer pulled in behind the vehicle on South Broadway
and followed the truck onto I-40 westbound. He turned on his
lights and siren in an attempt to pull over the vehicle, but the
driver kept on going. The officer followed as the truck merged
onto highway 69 northbound, nearly colliding with a semi
truck.
The truck continued driving and exited onto highway 266 west, turning north onto Raymond Tinny Road. A passenger jumped out of the truck and ran into the woods.
The driver of the truck, later identified as Berry, drove around some trees and came to an
abrupt stop near the officer’s car. The officer jumped out of his patrol vehicle.
As he was standing in front of the truck, he heard it rev up and start driving straight toward
him. Fearing that the truck was going to run him over, the officer fired at the truck, but the
driver kept on driving.
Police went to Berry’s apartment at the motel in an attempt to locate the man. They spoke
with his wife, who told them Berry and another man left in his truck at approximately 12:45
p.m. She tried to reach her husband by phone, but he wouldn’t answer.
The officer left, but they were later informed that Berry was back at the apartment. While
searching the apartment, the officer found Berry hiding under a bed.
While police placed Berry in handcuffs, he kept asking what was going on and told officers
he didn’t know what they were talking about. He later admitted to driving the truck and told
police he hid the vehicle near Oktaha.
Berry is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and eluding/attempting to elude police officer. His bond was set at $10,000, and he is scheduled to appear
in court on May 6, 2015.
