A Poteau couple was caught picking up a package from
the post office on April 9 that contained some interesting
items.
Hot Wheels cars and meth, anyone?
According to the police report, officers first became aware
of the suspicious package when a K9 alerted on it at a Tulsa
postal facility on April 9. The package was addressed to a
Wister residence.
The next day, an officer served a federal search warrant
on the box.
Inside the package, he found a few Hot Wheels cars, a
small toy shark and a bag of a crystal substance that would
later test positive for methamphetamine.
On April 13, the package was transported to the post office in Wister by a Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics officer.
Heather Jean Lann, 27, and her boyfriend, 46-year-old
Karl Mitchell, arrived shortly after his arrival to claim the
package. The officer watched the package and claimed “it
never left [his] sight until the package was carried out of the
door by Lann, while with Mitchell.”
When they left the post office, officers approached them
and placed them under arrest.
Lann refused to speak to police, but Mitchell told officers he “was only told there
were Hot Wheels cars inside” of the package.
Since there was more than just a few toys in the box, the couple was booked into
the LeFlore County Detention Center.
They are both being charged with unlawful possession of controlled drug with
intent to distribute. Mitchell and Lann were released on $20,000 bonds and are
scheduled to appear in court on April 27, 2015.

When a would-be bank robber arrives at his heist destination by
taxi, there’s a pretty good chance the holdup is going to go awry.
Plus, it probably doesn’t help if he’s extremely drunk, too.
That’s exactly what happened when Stanley Geddie rolled up to
a Tallahassee, Fla., bank in a cab, told the manager he had a .357
handgun AND C4 plastic explosives, and demanded $100,000.
Other employees grew concerned when the manager closed his
office door while speaking with Geddie and that’s when police were
contacted.
First, cops approached the taxi driver, who said Geddie was a hot
mess. Not only was the 46-year-old wasted, but he also didn’t pay
the $25.50 fare.
Then, officers surrounded the bank and told Geddie to surrender.
When he refused, police tased him. Court records state that when he was told that he would be shot if
he made any sudden movements Geddie said “well then kill me.”
Thankfully, Geddie was lying about the gun and explosives.
The unsuccessful thief was arrested and charged with robbery, petty theft and resisting arrest.

What you’re saying
about this on...
Sarah S: I was at work. The Federal Employees Credit Union was my banking institution. On April 18, I called Kathy and told her to mail me a check. That afternoon I called
her back and told her to hold it and I would drive up from Anadarko and be there by 9:00
am to pick it up. I normally just have them mail it but I thought if I left around 7:30 I would
get there, pick it up and head back home. On April 19, I went to work at 6:00 am and told
my manager I needed to leave around 7:30. No later than 8:00. He said okay, but he asked
if I would do a short task before I left. I got detained and lost track of time. I called Kathy
and told her I would be a few minutes late. She said “no problem” she would hold it for me.
Next thing I knew, people in the office were all talking about the catastrophe. I just slowly
sat down in the nearest chair and started crying. I’ll never forget that day or all my FECU
friends.
Sara B: I was in Elementary school and we felt the blast from Yukon!
Brad F: Senior in high school at Putnam City North I was a library aide that hour.
It set off all the alarms on the cars in the parking lot. Stayed in library all day watching on
television
Angie W: I was a Junior at Enid High...the mood of the entire school was incredibly somber.
Brianda K: That is my birthday. I was 2 months pregnant with my daughter.....I
turned on the t.v. and that was on the news....what a sad day.
Chris C: I was in 5th grade at Highland Park in Del City, it sounded like really loud
Thunder..
Sandra J: Working at Daylight Donuts in Bristow when I heard. I was very sad
because I knew many of those that worked in that building and lost their lives. I had previously worked for a CPA firm just a few blocks away. It is a day I will never forget.
Latonia T: Sylversteon, Dalton and Kelley’s surgical office NW 63rd and Independence. Just got a patient out of surgery and turned on the O2 when the bomb went off!
Thought someone had driven through the front of our building. That’s how close it felt.
David S: I was in 6th grade standing in line in the hallway at school waiting for gym
class. I was standing next to the cafeteria and felt the boom. I heard the windows and pots
and pans rattling. We all thought it was Tinker Air Force base. Was we wrong.
Erich R: In Edmond at my house when it woke me up and and then went to assist
Kelly O: I was 8 months pregnant vacuuming my car out in the front yard and felt
it and heard the boom of it over the vacuum......the bombing happened the day after my
birthday.
Angela P: I was in the 6th grade and was talking to a friend about his mom because
she was suppose to go up there but didn’t!!!
Frank K: I was late for work that day and just barely caught it on the news as I was
leaving. I made light of it when I got to work when I was asked why I was late. I said I was
setting off a bomb. No one knew what I was talking about nor did they know I was joking.
I know. I shouldn’t have joked about it, but that’s my memory of that day.
Kevin G: Watching t.v with my grandma eating breakfast. I was 17

Carolyn J: Working at Ethan Allen plant and the whole plant shut down.
Katie W: At work in Wagoner, not realizing my dad had a 9:00 appt in the bldg but
as usual he was late, I thank God for his habit of running late & never complained again
about him being late for anything.
Bobbi L: I was at work and my manager was in Oklahoma City headed to his moms
and called me and told me something had just exploded down on Robinson Ave. So turned
on the radio and found out what had taken place!!!!
Carolyn B: I was in kindergarten. We heard the bomb go off. Everyone ran to the
window but couldn’t see what happened. Eventually someone came and told my teacher. I
remember the look on her face. I was to young to really understand though the severity of
what happened.
Connie R: I was work at Ventures dept store listen to the jack ogovee show on talk
radio KWHN in Fort Smith at and the station just went quite then than came on and said
there sister station in ok had got blow up
Randi H: I was in 3rd grade, I remember it very clearly. We were supposed to be
having a field trip to the Cowboy Hall of Fame that week and it was cancelled! I can remember being disappointed about it being cancelled until I got home and watched the news all
evening about the bombing!
Traci J: In a college class. 22 yrs old. The professor said it wasn’t a tragedy and we
shouldn’t be so upset. People due every day and just because they do it at once doesn’t
make it a tragedy. Most of the class got up and left. He was a jerk and I remember it like it
was yesterday. Such a horrible waste if life. It was a tragedy.
Michael L: I was watching it on TV and wondering whom the government was
going to point the finger at for it.
Courtney L: i was a sophomore in HS. we didnt hear about it until at lunchtime
and only hear about a bomb. we didnt realize the devastation that had actually happened;
we thought it was more like one had been found. Our jr prom was held on the one year anniversary and was very somber.

Wilburton man Eugene C. Cosson, 49, was arrested after he allegedly threatened to kill
some people while drinking beer and eating behind the E-Z Mart.
On April 21, a Wilburton police officer was dispatched to the store in the 400 block of Main
Street shortly after 5 a.m. because a man was yelling and causing problems for employees.
They told police the man kept saying he was going to hurt someone, according to the affidavit.
When an officer arrived, an employee told him Cosson had left the store and walked to a
building next door. She said Cosson kept cussing and yelling at people who “weren’t really
there.”
The officer walked over to the building, and he heard just what the employee had described.
A man was yelling and cussing, and he yelled, “I will kill you, mother f-----.”
The officer found Cosson sitting on the ground behind the building, eating some food and
drinking a beer. He asked the man what he was doing. Cosson told him there was some
people trying to beat him up.
The officer asked him how much beer he had had to drink. He said he had consumed
a couple of beers.
They were enough to get him arrested, anyways. During a portable breath test, Cosson
blew a .08. The officer placed him under arrest and took him to jail.
Cosson is being charged with disturbing the peace and public intoxication. He was released
on a personal recognizance bond and is scheduled to appear in court on May 7, 2015.

A Hugo couple was arrested for possession
of drugs after a police officer saw them pushing an adult tricycle down the road on April
14.
Amy Yvonne Hiland, 39, and Jared Lashan
“Ash Tray” Lennox, 28, tried their best to hide
their drugs from police, but unfortunately for
them, this wasn’t the officer’s first rodeo.
According to the police report, a Hugo police officer pulled up to the intersection of I
and Osage and saw an interesting sight. Hiland and Lennox were walking south on I
Street pushing a tricycle that was made for an
adult.
The officer watched the couple, and he saw
the woman drop a glass pipe on the roadway.
He approached them and placed the woman
in handcuffs. He noticed Lennox digging in
his pockets.
Hiland denied that the pipe was hers; when
the officer picked it up, he noticed that it had a
white crystal residue.
The officer asked the couple where they
were coming from. Their story didn’t make much sense to the officer.
She told him they found the bike in a vacant lot by the high school, and
they were taking it to a residence on West Texas Street.
Another officer placed Lennox in handcuffs, and he found a small
baggy containing a crystal substance near the man. The substance later
tested positive for meth. Police found more meth in a white bag near
the tricycle.
Lennox said the bags were not his. He said they were soaked with
water because it had been raining all day -- except, the bags weren’t wet.
Lennox is being charged with two counts of possession of controlled
dangerous substance. His bond was set at $20,000, and he is scheduled
to appear in court on June 30, 2015.
Hiland is being charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was
set at $6,000, and she is scheduled to appear in court on June 30, 2015.

p.m. When he arrived, a man told him he was having some trouble with his sister,
identified as Hamilton, and her son.
There were several people at the bottom of the hill who were yelling and screaming at each other. The officer went to speak to the group, and Hamilton blamed
everything on her brother. She said he swung an axe handle at her adult son.
In a case of he said she said, her brother then told the officer he had been receiving threatening text messages from his sister and nephew. He said his nephew
and his nephew’s friend attacked him, so he grabbed an axe handle from his truck
to keep them away. He said he heard someone shoot a gun, but he wasn’t sure
who did it.
Both Hamilton and her son said they didn’t have a gun with them. Hamilton’s son told police his mom
had a gun, but as far as he knew, it was at home. Police looked in the woman’s vehicle, but the gun was
nowhere to be found.
An officer then told Hamilton he wasn’t leaving until he found the firearm. She told him she had it,
and she pulled it out from the front of her pants. She also pulled the magazine out of her pocket.
The officer placed her under arrest and took her to jail.
After the woman was booked into jail, a records check revealed Hamilton had a felony charge.
Hamilton is being charged with carrying weapons and obstructing officer. She was released on a $500
bond and is scheduled to appear in court on May 20, 2015.

A Coalgate woman was arrested after her worried husband called
police about her on April 18.
Lucille Ginden, 50, apparently had a little too much booze and got
pissed off when her husband poured out her liquor.
According to the police report, a Coalgate police officer was dispatched to a residence on Jerome Street shortly after 11 p.m. When
he arrived, a man told him Ginden became belligerent and started
making verbal threats after he poured out some of her liquor.
While police were speaking to the man, Ginden came to the door
and started screaming at her husband. She went back to her room,
but when police asked her to come out, she started screaming at
them. She became “verbally abusive” toward officers and refused to
comply with their orders and come out of the room.
Officers went to the room to place the woman under arrest for obstruction, but Ginden
wasn’t going down without a fight.
And fight she did!
She started swinging at officers and kicked one in the stomach several times. He pulled out
his Taser and stunned her “several times.” Eventually, the woman stopped struggling and
police took her to jail.
Apparently being tased didn’t phase her too much, because once they arrived at the jail, she
used “abusive vulgar language” toward the dispatcher.
Ginden is being charged with assault and battery upon a police officer and obstructing officer. She was released on a $5,500 bond and pled no contest to the charges.
Don’t mess with the liquor

A cellphone video shot by some kids landed Kiowa
man Travis Dale Furr, 41, in jail. The video showed Furr
attacking a man with a piece of lumber.
According to the police report, a Kiowa officer was dispatched to the 400 block of Grant Street shortly after 6
p.m. because a man was stabbed. When he arrived, he
met with the victim, who told him Furr had stabbed him.
He showed the officer his wounds.
The victim said Furr came to his house and “entered
without notice, dropping off mail.” He then confronted
the victim about a $60 debt; the victim said he didn’t
owe Furr any money.
The victim said they started arguing, and Furr started threatening people at the
house. The victim said he asked Furr to leave, but Furr began to “bow up” to him
in an aggressive manner. The victim said he grabbed a piece of lumber that was in
the front yard and tried to “nudge” Furr off his property. Furr then pulled a knife
out of his pocket and started swinging it at the man. The victim said he dropped
the board when Furr stabbed him. Furr then grabbed the board and hit him with
it.
While the officer was speaking with the victim, two juveniles approached them
and said they had a cellphone video of what had happened. The officer watched
as Furr hit the victim with a piece of lumber that had a nail sticking through it.
Police found Furr at a local cemetery wearing the same outfit he was wearing
in the incriminating video. Officers found a pocketknife is his right front pocket.
Furr is being charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon and assault
and battery with a dangerous weapon.
If it weren’t for
those pesky kids…

Don’t bite the hand that feeds you -- or spit on the face that
takes you to the hospital to be treated for a bite. You might just
find yourself in a jail cell.
A drunken prisoner with a dog bite found himself in even more
trouble after he spit on an officer while he was at the hospital.
Quinton man Jason Lee Dinwiddie, 38, added to his arrest
charges after he couldn’t seem to control himself on April 11.
According to the affidavit, Stigler officers took Dinwiddie to the
hospital to be treated for a dog bite. Dinwiddie was “very belligerent, using profanity and intoxicated” when they arrived at the
hospital. He also kept threatening officers while waiting for the
doctor.
At one point, Dinwiddie somehow managed to get off his bed
and attack one of the officers. A struggle ensued, but police were
quick to end it. They grabbed the man and put him back on the bed, but during the fight,
Dinwiddie spit on one of the officers.
A nurse placed a mask on Dinwiddie to keep him from spreading his bodily fluids on others. Even with the mask on, Dinwiddie continued to be belligerent and uncooperative. Police
had to keep him handcuffed during the duration of the hospital visit.
After he was treated for the bite, police transported him to jail.
Dinwiddie is being charged with prisoner placing bodily fluid on government employee.
His bond was set at $5,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on April 28, 2015.
Take a bite outta crime When a mugger tried to rob her friend, 92-year-old Eileen Mason just
had her mobility scooter – and her no-nonsense attitude.
Eileen and 75-year-old Margaret Seabrook, both from Swindon, Wiltshire, England, were returning home from a lunch club meeting when a
thief appeared from behind a fence and eyed up the contents of Margaret’s basket.
But the robber didn’t know who he was dealing with.
‘Oh no you don’t!’ was Eileen’s battle cry as she accelerated on her
scooter.
The would-be thief ‘went flying’, said Eileen, who has four children, 10
grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
‘We went through the war and all the bombings. We won’t let a weasel
like that hold us back.’
Crocs plastic shoes left tread marks that helped link a 22-year-old
Fairbanks man to downtown burglaries, authorities said.
The owner of a building where some break-ins occurred provided surveillance footage to police, who posted it on the department’s Facebook
page. Roland Huntington Grace name was among several mentioned by
tipsters, according to authorities.
According to the court documents, Grace wore Crocs during a police
interview and the shoes matched the tread pattern found at the scene.
Grace faces charges of burglary, theft and criminal mischief in connection with the burglaries reported earlier this month, the Fairbanks Daily
News-Miner newspaper reported.
Online court records don’t have an attorney listed for him. Charging
documents say Grace admitted to the burglaries.
The owner of The Crepery reported on April 1 that someone stole about
$400 from a cash register after breaking into the restaurant. A minister
at the Church of Christ reported April 2 that someone stole about $30
after prying open several locked doors. Another burglary at The Crepery
was reported April 3, with $5 in change taken. A worker at the art gallery
across the hall told responding police that there was a burglary at that
shop as well, and that $1,000 of artists’ jewelry was taken.
According to authorities, two necklaces matching the description of
jewelry taken from the gallery were recovered from Grace.

When 23-year-old Coty R. Howe was caught with a
stolen vehicle, he tried to blame it on a friend, but the
Madill man was arrested when five credit cards belonging to the vehicle owner were found in his pocket.
On April 17, a Durant police officer responded to the
400 block of Westside Drive shortly after 3 p.m. in an
attempt to find a stolen vehicle. According to the police
report, the vehicle was taken from the Medical Center of
Southeastern Oklahoma.
A woman reported to security that her company vehicle was missing. Police were able to find the vehicle by
locating the woman’s phone that was still in the car. Officers first found Howe and the woman’s phone. They later found the car parked
behind a restaurant.
Howe told police that his friend had given him a ride, but when he learned the
car was stolen, he jumped out and his friend continued driving the car toward the
college.
When police searched Howe, they found five credit cards belonging to the owner of the stolen car. They also found the car keys in his bag.
On the way to jail, Howe told police it didn’t matter, because he was going to
prison on Tuesday anyway.
During booking, an officer found three hydrocodone pills in the man’s pocket.
Howe said they were his, and he had a prescription bottle for them in his bag. No
bottle was found in his bag, but the victim told police she had a prescription for
the drug.
Howe is being charged with larceny of automobile, possession of controlled
dangerous substance, possession of credit card belonging to another and knowingly concealing stolen property. His bond was set at $20,500, and he is scheduled to appear in court on June 4, 2015.

A stolen vehicle led police to the home of Eagletown woman
Elaysia Renee Blackwood, 24, on April 15.
She wasn’t arrested for the vehicle, but she was taken to jail
for the stolen items found in burn piles behind her house.
According to the police report, a man reported that a truck
from McCurtain County Water District #1 was stolen from
Haworth on April 10.
On April 14, a man told police his Broken Bow residence had
been broken into and several items, including a crossbow, frozen meat, several pairs of boots and assorted papers were taken
from his house.
McCurtain County deputies went to Blackwood’s residence
the next day in reference to the stolen truck. While police were
at the residence, they could smell something burning. Blackwood told them she burned some
trash the night before. She showed them three different burn piles in her backyard.
Officers noticed several pieces of partially burnt paper with the burglary victim’s name on
them, including checkbooks, deposit slips, VA paperwork and envelope.
Blackwood told police she didn’t know how the man’s paperwork ended up in her burn
piles. Police asked if there was anyone else in the residence -- she said no. She agreed to let
an officer search her home for other people. The officer didn’t locate another person, but he
did see a crossbow matching the description of the stolen weapon in the house.
Blackwood told officer she found the crossbow on her front porch that morning. She told
them she shot it several times, and she showed them some arrows she put in a tree and shed.
She insisted she found it on her porch, and she told them to take the bow if they thought it
was stolen.
After police left, an officer remembered from a previous conversation that Blackwood was
a convicted felon.
She was placed under arrest and transported to jail.
Blackwood is being charged with possession of firearm after former felony conviction and
knowingly concealing stolen property. She was released on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled
to appear in court on April 28, 2015.

Its no coincidence that in the
very first Tips From a Trooper
article I wrote about Oklahoma’s
Move Over law. It is one of the single most important laws on
the books for the safety of our Emergency Response professionals
as they do their jobs on and around the roads of Oklahoma. Due
to several recent incidents, I want to re-introduce everyone to
this law! I’m talking Oklahoma State Statute Title 47, Chapter
11-314: Approaching a stationary emergency vehicle, wrecker, or
tow vehicle displaying flashing lights. What this law states is that
when approaching an emergency vehicle such as a law enforcement
vehicle, ambulance, fire truck, wrecker or tow truck, which has its
emergency lights activated (red and blue lights, or any combination
of), you, the courteous driver, shall do the following:
On roadways with more than one lane traveling in the same
direction, you shall move to the adjacent lane if possible. This
means if you have two lanes available to you, when you approach
an emergency vehicle with lights activated, you will move from the
lane closest to the emergency vehicle to the lane farthest away from
the emergency vehicle, provided you can do so safely. Usually this
will be from the right hand lane to the left hand lane, because the
most common occurrence of this will be when you are passing a
Trooper or other Law Enforcement Officer who has a driver stopped
on the shoulder of the roadway. If you are not able to change lanes
to move away from the emergency vehicle, perhaps because there is
already a car occupying that lane next to you, then you shall reduce
your speed and proceed with caution.
On roadways that have only one lane of travel for each direction,
in other words, your basic two lane highway or road, you are
required to simply reduce your speed in your lane and proceed with
caution.
If you are found in violation of this law, the fine currently is
$211.50.
Just this year, we have had several Troopers hit, and Trooper
Nicholas Dees lost his life while working an accident on I-40 to a
distracted driver who did not obey this law. Trooper Keith Burch
was seriously injured in the same tragic accident, and has a long
recovery ahead. Most recently, Trooper Gary Sanders was hit while
on a traffic stop by another distracted driver, and nearly lost his
life. Aside from being a law, this just makes common sense. Part
of being a safe and courteous driver means looking out for others
on or near the roadway. Pay attention and MOVE OVER or SLOW
DOWN, those are some easy things to do to put emergency service
professionals at ease! Thanks for reading, buckle up and please
drive safe!

A sexual assault occurs every 2 seconds in the United States. While both
men and women are susceptible to becoming victims of sexual violence, a
CDC survey revealed that 1 in 5 U.S. women have been raped during their
lifetime and 1 in 2 have encountered some form of sexual violence.
Unfortunately, sexual assault incidents are reported less frequently than
any other violent crime as only a small percentage of victims are willing
to step forward to report their experience and involve the criminal justice
process.
Protecting yourself by being informed about the dangers in your area
and understanding preventative measures are critical to prevent victimization.
The National Crime Prevention Council and AlertID offer the following
9 tips to help protect women from becoming victims:
1. Be aware of your surroundings - become a member of AlertID
for free at www.AlertID.com to stay informed of the sex offender, current
crime alerts and up to the minute warnings from neighbors in any area
important to you.
2. Avoid walking or jogging alone – particularly at night. Additionally,
vary your route and stay in well-traveled, well-lighted areas.
3. Walk with confidence - the more confident you look, the stronger
you appear.
4. Be wary of isolated spots –underground garages, offices after business hours, and apartment laundry rooms.
5. Have your key ready to use before you reach the door – this includes
home, car, or work.
6. Drive on well-traveled streets with doors and windows locked.
7. Trust your instincts - if you feel uncomfortable in your surroundings, leave the area immediately.
8. In the event you have car trouble - call for help on your cell phone or
if you don’t have a phone, put the hood up, set road flares, lock the doors,
turn on the hazard lights, and wait for a public service worker to assist you.
For more prevention tips and resource information on Sexual Assault
from AlertID, developed in conjunction with the National Crime Prevention Council, please visit: http://alertid.com/search/sex-crimes.asp
Victim support resources are especially important functions of the recovery process for all survivors of sexual violence. If you are sexually assaulted, it is not your fault. Don’t be afraid to ask for help or support.

Atoka man Johnny L. Hamilton III, 22, told police he was “high
on meth” when he stole a truck from Tushka schools on April 18 and
took it joyriding all the way to Paris, Texas.
The man eventually stopped running and turned himself in to police.
According to the police report, Hamilton told Tushka police he was
wandering around town, high on meth when he decided to steal a vehicle around 5:40 a.m. He saw a Tushka school truck by the gym, but
first, he looked in the buses and found a wallet belonging to a school
employee. He took several credit cards belonging to the man and drove off in the truck.
Sometime between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. (Hamilton said he couldn’t remember when), the
man told his girlfriend to pack some clothes and they left. They picked up another man on
the way out of town.
On the way to Paris, the trio used the stolen cards to buy cigarettes, soda, snacks and gas.
They also bought some stuff from the Hugo Walmart, including a toy truck and two-way
radios.
The trio drove into Texas and bought some more stuff from the Paris Walmart. The report
says they were “smiling away as they carried the items out of the store.”
After Hamilton was booked into jail, police went to talk to the other man who was with
Hamilton during the spending spree. He at first denied being with Hamilton, but he then reluctantly turned over the stolen items, including some DVDs of a TV series he was watching.
Hamilton is being charged with burglary in the second degree and larceny of an automobile. His bond was set at $50,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on May 6, 2015.

Norman man Bo Anthony Mullican, 18,
was arrested in Eufaula after he allegedly
stole two vehicles and ran away from police.
According to the affidavit, a Eufaula officer saw Mullican and his friend walking
east on McGee Street shortly after 11 p.m.
on April 12. While they were talking, Mullican threw down the bags he was carrying
and took off running.
Officers were unable to immediately locate the man, but they did find some interesting items in his bag.
While searching the backpacks, an officer found a smoking pipe,
rolling papers, a syringe containing a liquid substance, black clothing, black gloves, a black face mask and “random documents” belonging to other people besides Mullican.
Mullican’s friend told police they traveled from Noble to Eufaula,
and their vehicle had gotten stuck somewhere near Love’s.
Police located the truck, which dispatch advised was stolen.
Around 5:30 a.m. on April 13, police were advised a white SUV was
taken from a residence and headed west on Broadway Street. Police
located the vehicle and a chase ensued. The driver of the SUV drove
through multiple yards and into oncoming traffic. The pursuit eventually came to an end when the SUV hit a patrol car.
Officers ordered the driver to exit the vehicle and to lie on the
ground. Well, lo and behold, Mullican jumped out of the front seat!
Police were also advised Mullican had broken into another vehicle,
where he found the keys to the stolen SUV he was driving.
Mullican is being charged with larceny of automobile, burglary in
the second degree, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon,
endangering others while eluding/attempting to elude police officer,
driving with license canceled/suspended/revoked and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $25,000, and he
is scheduled to appear in court on June 17, 2015.
