A Panama man made a traffic stop a lot worse when he
threw a cup of liquid on a cop and tried to run.
But, he was just trying to protect his drugs!
On September 4, a Panama police officer saw a car traveling southbound on U.S. 59 around 10:29 p.m. According to
the affidavit, the vehicle didn’t have a license plate lamp and
it kept crossing the line dividing the lanes of travel. The officer pulled the vehicle over and made contact with the car’s
occupants.
The driver didn’t have a driver’s license, and she later told
the officer she had smoked marijuana a couple of hours prior
to the stop. She gave the officer consent to search the vehicle, and the officer told the backseat passenger, 37-year-old
Ted David Muller, to exit the vehicle. He got out of the car,
and the officer told him the driver had given him consent to
search it.
Muller took a drink from a paper cup, threw the cup of liquid on an officer, and took off
running into a wooded area. Officers were finally able to tackle the runner.
Muller fought against the officers and refused to be handcuffed, but he was eventually
placed under arrest.
During a search of his person, police found a plastic straw with a white residue, a small bag
containing a white crystal substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine, rounds
for a .38 special, a ski mask and a pair of leather gloves. They also found a holster and more
rounds for a .38 special where Muller had been sitting. In the trunk that was only accessible
through letting down the backseat where Muller was seated, police found two automatic
pistols; the serial numbers on the firearms were scratched, but an officer was able to get
the serial numbers off one of the guns. It came back as stolen. The other passengers denied
knowledge of the guns.
Muller is being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of
firearm during commission of a felony, possession of firearm after former felony conviction,
knowingly concealing stolen property, committing felony with firearm with defaced ID number, possession of burglary tools, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing
officer. His bond was set at $50,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 19, 2014.
And… we have a runner!

VIOlATION OF COURT ORDER
Proverbs 22:6 says
6 Train up a child in
the way he should go:
and when he is old,
he will not depart
from it.
Children have a
wonderful capacity
for trust. The faith
they put in adults is unqualified, and that should humble us; we often don’t
deserve it.
Sometimes kids suffer from intentional betrayal by a trusted adult, like
former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky, recently convicted of
sexually abusing underprivileged young boys. Other times, they are neglected
by society at large, as are the 1.7 million children with a parent behind bars.
Many of these kids face enormous obstacles, but get little notice.
The Bible affirms that children are a central focus of God.
Our national problem is not that we somehow undervalue children; it’s
that we don’t always know where to look to find the children most in need
of our help. Inmates’ children in particular get placed on the back burner.
They grow up in single-parent homes, or they get shuffled into foster care.
They are five times more likely than their peers to live in poverty. They often
endure confusion, loneliness, depression, abandonment, social ostracism,
and profound anger. Should we be surprised if they often follow their
parents to prison?
It doesn’t take much to ease the burden of an inmate’s family. Churches—
and other people of good will—can incorporate prisoners’ children into their
existing programs, like VBS, youth mentoring programs, or summer camps.
They can make sure kids have the supplies they need to succeed in school, or
gifts to celebrate the holidays; the opportunities are boundless.
If we take seriously the notion that every child has inherent worth and
deserves our society’s nurture and protection, we cannot afford to ignore
children with an incarcerated parent. Like Jesus, we must reach out to them,
and their trust will for once not be betrayed. In turn we will discover that the
blessing goes both ways: They will teach us what it means to have faith that
pleases God, faith that presses in close, believing everything will be okay.
Bible Says:

Fort Towson woman Diana Taylor
Bevil Dunn, 49, was arrested after she
allegedly stole face cream from Hugo
Walmart.
Hey, she was just trying to get rid of
those wrinkles! She just went about it
the wrong Oil of O’Way.
According to the affidavit, a Hugo
police officer was dispatched to
Walmart in reference to a shoplifter
on September 9. When she arrived,
she saw an employee following a
woman who matched the description
of the shoplifter.
The woman, identified as Dunn,
took off running when she saw the officer. She jumped in a vehicle
and locked the door. She eventually unlocked the door due to the officer’s commands, but she refused to turn off the vehicle.
The employee showed the officer boxes of face creams and body
lotions that Dunn had taken from the store. Some of the items were
beside Dunn in the car. In Dunn’s purse, the officer found the rest of
the stolen face cream.
The officer took Dunn to jail. A dispatcher advised the officer that
Dunn’s husband had called and said Dunn couldn’t be arrested, and
the sheriff and district attorney knew about it.
The officer called the district attorney’s officer, but of course, they
didn’t know anything about it. The man showed up at jail and tried
to get Dunn out of jail. It didn’t work.
During booking, the jailer found pills, a glass pipe, two bags containing a clear crystal substance and a bag containing a green leafy
substance in Dunn’s purse. The substances field-tested positive for
methamphetamine and marijuana.
Dunn is being charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of paraphernalia, larceny of
merchandise from a retailer and failure to comply with compulsory
insurance law. She was released on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled
to appear in court on October 28, 2014.

Apparently, one of 55-year-old John Vernon Goddard’s favorite pastimes
is to get drunk and stare at people while standing in the middle of the road.
Well, that’s exactly what the Stigler man was doing when he was arrested
on September 5.
According to the affidavit, dispatch received a call around 7:20 p.m. about
a man standing in the middle of the road staring at people. The reporting
caller said the man wasn’t walking; he was just standing in the road.
A Stigler officer responded to the call and found a subject in a parking lot
on SE Fifth Street that matched the description of the creepy starer. The
officer pulled into the parking lot and started talking to the man, identified
as Goddard.
Goddard smelled strongly like alcohol.
The officer told Goddard he could tell he was drunk, and Goddard admitted he had had about
10 beers. The officer placed him under arrest and transported him to Stigler City Jail.
Goddard wasn’t done yet, though!
Once in a cell, Goddard started trying to destroy items and was “unruly in the cell and banging
on everything.” Goddard also started hitting his head on the cement walls, water fountain and
metal bunks.
The officer placed Goddard back in handcuffs and took him to the Haskell County Jail. Goddard was detained in a padded cell for his safety.
Goddard was released on a $520 bond, and he pleaded guilty to the charge of public intoxication. He is scheduled to appear in court on October 14, 2014.

A Howe man with a syringe full of
oxycontin was arrested for allegedly
shooting up while driving.
On September 3 at approximately
1:10 p.m., a state trooper was traveling westbound on Salonia Road when
he drove over a hill and saw a truck
stopped in the road. According to the
affidavit, the trooper stopped at the
driver’s door and noticed two males inside. He activated his emergency lights
and made contact with the driver.
As he was speaking with the driver,
Clayton Regan Collins, 25, the trooper saw a syringe cap next to Collins. Collins’ hands trembled as he
handed the officer his driver’s license.
The trooper asked Collins to step out of the truck; when he did, the
trooper noticed a syringe containing a clear liquid beside his seatbelt. He asked Collins what was in the syringe, and Collins told him
it was oxycontin. The trooper asked how much he had already shot
up, and Collins told him over half of what he had.
Collins had slowed motor skills, and he couldn’t seem to focus. His
speech was slurred and his pupils were constricted.
The trooper placed him under arrest. He made sure the vehicle was
operable, and Collins allowed the passenger to drive it home.
Collins refused to take the state’s blood test and told the trooper
that it wouldn’t matter either way. The trooper transported Collins
to jail.
Collins is being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous
substance, actual physical control of vehicle under the influence, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and improper stopping. He
was released on a $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court
on October 7, 2014.

Bailey
A pursuit led by an Antlers man in a hurry to get to
the bar ended when the man’s van ran out of gas. Apparently, he wasn’t stopping for anyone.
According to the police report, an Antlers officer was
driving westbound on West Main around 11:23 p.m.
on September 6, when he saw a vehicle traveling eastbound at an excessive speed. He confirmed the vehicle
was traveling 87 mph in a 45 mph zone.
The officer activated his emergency lights, but the
vehicle passed the officer and appeared to speed up. The officer turned
his vehicle around to pursue the vehicle, which was a white van. It blew
through a couple red lights and went airborne when it hit some railroad
tracks.
The van’s driver continued to drive recklessly through town and
reached speeds in excess of 90 mph. The van eventually came to a stop
approximately one mile east of Antlers.
The officer ordered the driver, Julian Bailey, 28, out of the vehicle and
placed him in handcuffs and searched Bailey for weapons. Bailey, who
smelled like alcohol, told police, “I ain’t got no drugs on me and there
ain’t none in the van.”
The officer asked Bailey why he didn’t stop. Bailey told him, “I was trying to get to the bar.”
Despite smelling like beer, Bailey insisted he hadn’t been drinking.
Bailey’s eyes were red and bloodshot, and he had trouble standing up
straight.
He told police it was because it was tired.
Inside Bailey’s van, police found an opened cold 12-ounce can of beer
behind the driver’s seat.
During inventory of the vehicle, an officer noticed that the vehicle
wasn’t running. He assumed that Bailey had turned it off when he
stopped, but when the wrecker driver arrived to impound the van, it
wouldn’t start. The gas gauge was below the “E” mark. Bailey hadn’t
stopped — he had run out of gas.
Bailey is being charged with endangering others while attempting to
elude police officer, driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of
alcohol, transporting opened container of beer, reckless driving, speeding and failure to stop at red light. He was released on a $10,000 bond
and is scheduled to appear in court on October 8, 2014.

The case began in early September when
Billy Crenshaw, 53, asked an acquaintance to
kill his granddaughter’s mother. Crenshaw
had custody of the toddler whose mother
wanted her back. Crenshaw offered a gun
with the serial number ground off and the
forgiving of a debt owed him by the acquaintance.
The acquaintance then spoke with Shonda
Bridge (Miller), 41, who also wanted the little
girl’s mother killed. Miller is related by marriage to
Crenshaw. The acquaintance alerted OSBI
to both people’s request to have the girl’s
mother killed. This acquaintance then became an informant.
On the evening of September 4th, the informant picked up Miller at Crenshaw’s
McAlester home to drive to the intended victim’s house outside of town.
The conversation between the informant
and Miller was recorded. Miller brought a
gun with her. Before the two left town, OSBI had a McAlester police officer make a traffic stop. Miller was arrested and a gun with serial numbers ground off was recovered from the passenger’s side of the vehicle.
OSBI agents and members of the District 18 Drug and Violent Crime
Task Force went to Crenshaw’s home at 1224 Key Road and arrested him.
The intended victim in the case was moved to a safe location that night.

OK Jailbirds is cooperating with the efforts of Oklahoma Department of Human Services to impact the huge
social problem of irresponsible parents who are not paying the child supports ordered by our courts.
If these biological-only parents won’t honor the courts order, perhaps public shame will get their attention.
If you know how to reach any of the Deadbeat Parents found on this page, please call the Oklahoma Department of Human Services
Child Support HotLine at 1-800-522-8014
Importance of Child Support
Children are our future and child support helps make sure they
have a chance at a productive life. Children have the right to get
support from both parents and do not lose this right when a
parent leaves the home.
When children do not receive child support, they can:
Suffer both Emotionally and Physically
Live within a Reduced Standard of Living
Have their Basic Needs Unmet
Become Non-Supportive when they become Parents.
When one or both parents do not support their children,
taxpayers often pay the cost of raising children. When children
receive public assistance and their parents pay no child support,
all taxpayers bear the cost of supporting the children.

The last thing you want to do to the people who handle your meds is to call them a
bunch of a--holes and threaten to burn their
building down. But, that’s just what one Lehigh man did.
Perry Honeycutt, 50, was arrested after he
allegedly threatened to burn down a Coalgate pharmacy.
According to the affidavit, a pharmacy
employee contacted Coalgate police on September 3 to inform them of a rather rude
employee. The employee said Honeycutt called the pharmacy around
12:20 p.m. to speak about some prescriptions. During the call, Honeycutt became angry and told the employee the pharmacy was a
“bunch of a--holes.” He then hung up the phone.
The employee called the number back that Honeycutt used to call
the pharmacy. When Honeycutt answered the phone, the employee
asked whom she was speaking with.
Honeycutt identified himself and rudely asked, “Who the f--- is
this?” When the employee told Honeycutt who she was, Honeycutt
told her, “F--- you bitch. I will come up there and burn that f------
place down.”
Um, no he won’t.
When police found Honeycutt, he admitted to issuing the threats.
An officer placed him under arrest and transported him to jail.
Honeycutt confirmed the employee’s story, and told police he was
just upset when he made the threat. He was booked into the Coal
County Jail.
Honeycutt is being charged with terrorism hoax. He was released
on a personal recognizance bond and is scheduled to appear in court
on September 18, 2014.

Pom Pom: it’s what’s for dinner
Police call the relationship “toxic.” If the details of the
police report are accurate, folks won’t need much convincing.
Bear the Pomeranian disappeared in early August after the
dog’s owner and her then-boyfriend Ryan Eddy Watenpaugh
had an argument.
The woman fled her apartment after she was physically
assaulted by Watenpaugh, she told police in Redding,
California. When she returned, Bear was gone.
The couple, which police say had a tumultuous dating
relationship that included the woman being held against
her will, briefly reconciled the first week in September.
Watenpaugh, 35, cooked her a meal that included meat.
Then the text messages began.
“How’s your dog taste? I thought it was better with BBQ and those Hawaiian buns.”
“I guess u could bury what u didn’t eat.”
“The smile on my face when you read this … priceless,” KRCR reported.
Then early on Sept. 9, Watenpaugh showed up at the woman’s house and left a small bag
by her front door, police say. Inside was a note and two dog paws.
“Burn in hell,” the note says. “I hate you so much it hurts. Stay away from me. I want
nothing to do with you. F— you.” At the bottom of the note: a smiley face.
Redding police arrested him two days later. They say he’s admitted to sending the
messages and placing the dog paws at the woman’s residence, but has denied killing or
cooking Bear.
“You know this is extremely strange,” Redding Sgt. Todd Cogle told KRCR. “Unusual,
something we had never seen before.”
Watenpaugh has been charged with domestic violence, false imprisonment, stalking and
animal cruelty. He’s being held on $250,000 bail in the Shasta County jail.

McClain County woman Heather Kelley
Fletcher, 43, was accused of leaving a store
stealing a pair of jeans, she told police she
was too fat to wear the shorts employees
said she walked in the store wearing.
According to the affidavit, a Purcell
police officer was dispatched to the 1600
block of N. Green Avenue on August 3 at
approximately 3:24 p.m. Employees said
that Fletcher had switched her shorts for
a pair of jeans in the dressing room and
walked out after an employee tried to stop
her. They explained that she walked into
the dressing room carrying two pairs of
jeans and wearing white and plaid shorts. When she exited the dressing
room, she walked toward the door wearing a pair of jeans.
When he arrived, an employee pointed at a woman leaving a nearby store
and said, “That’s her.”
He approached Fletcher. Before he could ask any questions, she told him
she didn’t know the employee and she doesn’t wear shorts because she is too
fat. Fletcher appeared to be wearing a new pair of jeans.
When he asked Fletcher when she got the jeans, she told him she bought
them the day before for her birthday. The officer asked her where she put
her shorts; she again told him that she doesn’t wear shorts because she’s too
fat. When he told her employees saw her wearing shorts before she went
into the dressing room, she still denied that she stole the jeans.
The officer placed her under arrest. During a search of her purse, he found
a pair of shorts matching the description of the ones employees said she
wore into the dressing room. He also found a double-edge dagger, a tube
with residue that field-tested positive for methamphetamine and a plastic
baggy.
Fletcher is being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous
substance, larceny of merchandise from retailer, unlawful possession of
drug paraphernalia and carrying weapons. She was released on a $5,000
bond and is scheduled to appear in court on September 10, 2014.

Two Durant men were carted off to jail because they were found with
drugs during a traffic stop on August 30.
According to the affidavit, a Durant officer was on patrol around 11:19
a.m. when he saw a vehicle traveling eastbound on Main. The windshield
of the vehicle was shattered and obstructed the driver’s view. The officer
stopped the vehicle at E. Main and McLean, and made contact with
the driver, John Steven Presley, 28. The passenger identified himself
as “Todd Dills.” The officer recognized the name Dills, because Johnny
Everette Coffey Jr., 47, had previously given an officer the false name.
The officer checked with dispatch and was advised that Coffey that
three warrants for his arrest.
He told Coffey to exit the vehicle, and Coffey confirmed his suspicions stating, “You got me. You know I’m John Coffey. I’m sorry — I just
couldn’t go to jail when [an officer] pulled me over, so I gave him my
friend’s information.”
As the officer was speaking with Coffey, he noticed Presley kept digging into his right jeans pocket. The officer told him to stop, and he
placed Coffey in the patrol car. He asked Presley what was in his right
jeans pocket. Presley didn’t reply. The officer told Presley to pull the
pocket inside out.
As he did, Presley slung his hand out abruptly, and the officer saw a small baggy fall to the
ground. The baggy contained a white crystal like substance that appeared to be methamphetamine.
The men were both transported to jail.
During an inventory of his patrol car, the officer found a clear glass pipe with a burnt residue in the backseat where Coffey had been sitting. In the cup holder, there was a clear plastic
straw, and another straw was located beside the seat on the driver’s side.
Coffey is being charged with unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and false personation of citizen. His bond was set at $10,000,
and he is scheduled to appear in court on October 22, 2014.
Presley is being charged with possession of methamphetamine after former conviction of
a felony and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a $6,000 bond
and is scheduled to appear in court on October 15, 2014.

A drunk teen was just trying to
get some munchies from McDonald’s when an officer arrested him for
drunken driving.
That late night Big Mac’s just gonna
have to wait!
On August 31 around 2 a.m., an Atoka police officer was on patrol when
he saw a black truck traveling east on
13th Street. The vehicle’s right side
taillight wasn’t working, so the officer
followed the truck. The driver hit the
center line twice.
The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Atoka man Kaleb Lane Cooksey, 18, pulled into McDonald’s
parking lot. The officer activated his emergency lights, and the driver
pulled over.
When the officer approached the driver’s window, he smelled a
strong odor of alcohol coming from inside the truck. He asked Cooksey if anyone had been drinking, and Cooksey said no. The officer told
him he could smell alcohol coming from inside the vehicle, and Cooksey said someone else had been drinking in there. The officer asked
him if there was any alcohol in the truck, and Cooksey told him there
was an ice chest in the bed of the truck containing beer.
The officer asked Cooksey to step out of the vehicle. He asked him
again how much alcohol he had consumed, and Cooksey admitted to
drinking three beers in the last 30 minutes.
The officer placed him under arrest and administered a breath test
to Cooksey; it registered a 0.10 bac.
While looking in Cooksey’s truck, police found three bottles of
Smirnoff Ice in the backseat.
Cooksey is being charged with driving a motor vehicle while under
the influence of alcohol. He was released on a $1,250 bond and is
scheduled to appear in court on September 15, 2014.

A crazed Eufaula man allegedly went to a nursing home to
confront his girlfriend, ran from police officers, and threatened
to burn down his girlfriend’s house.
September 3 was a memorable day for 29-year-old William
Arthur Shaver!
According to the police report, Eufaula police were dispatched to a local nursing home around 9 a.m. in regards to
a person making threats. En route to the nursing home, the
officer was advised that the subject was Shaver.
The officer saw Shaver on a bicycle at the intersection of Sixth
and Forest Street. Shaver saw the police car, and he started
pedaling east down High Street.
The officer followed Shaver and gave him verbal commands
over the PA system to pull over. Shaver started pedaling very
quickly and yelled at the officer, “Y’all quit f------ with me, or I
will cut you n-----!”
Shaver continued to shout obscenities and make threats toward officers, but they eventually apprehended Shaver at Second Street and Grand Avenue. Shaver fought against police
and refused to be handcuffed willingly.
Officers were able to force Shaver into handcuffs, and he started screaming and told them,
“I’m not going to jail, mother f------. I promise, I will kill one of y’all before I go.”
Officers had to place leg restraints on Shaver because of his combative state. He was transported to jail.
An officer returned to the nursing home to speak with reporting parties. One woman told
the officer Shaver had called and asked if his girlfriend was at work. When she told him no,
Shaver told her, “Tell [her] when she gets home, she ain’t gonna have no home. It will be all
smoke and flames.”
Shortly after the call, Shaver arrived at the nursing home. When he was told to leave, he
told employees, “Don’t worry — I will be back.”
Shaver is being charged with assault and battery on a police officer, resisting an officer and
threatening to perform an act of violence. He is being held in lieu of a $15,000 bond and is
scheduled to appear in court on September 24, 2014.

A Wright City man with an apparent like of getting strong electrical currents sent through his body
was taken to jail after he allegedly
attacked his neighbor and fought a
police officer.
According to the affidavit, a Wright
City officer received a call around
9:30 p.m. on August 30 that there
was a fight going on in the 100 block
of W. Fourth Street. When he arrived, a woman told him a fight had
occurred between them and their
neighbor, Channing O’Neal Carden,
25. She told him Carden was running behind his house.
The officer saw Carden jump over his chain link fence and take off
running toward Third Street. The officer shined his light on Carden
and identified himself, but Carden kept running. Carden tried to
hide in a ditch on Pine Street, but the officer found him.
The officer told him to stay on the ground and put his hands behind his back. He warned Carden to stay down, or he would tase him.
Carden started to stand up, and the officer discharged his Taser, hitting him in the back and thigh.
Carden told the officer, “This feels good.” He then stood up, pulled
the Taser out of his thigh and took off running again.
The officer caught up with Carden and physical struggle ensued.
The officer tased him again.
This time, the Taser brought Carden to his knees and the officer
was able to place him in handcuffs.
Witnesses at the scene told the officer that Carden had beat a woman with a large stick.
Carden is being charged with public intoxication, assault and battery, resisting arrest and assault on a police officer. He was released
on a $1,750 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on September
26, 2014.
